As the November mid-term elections draw near, race arsonists’ political distractions are seen in full action. Facing defeat at the polls, the Left is desperately resorting to its only remaining trick.

With different styles and brands of utopian-driven influence — from the dependent welfare state of the American Democratic party, the socialism of Marxist/Leninists’ Workers’ Paradise, the Open Society of Soros’ idol Karl Popper, or any of the current collective salvations of social justice — examining the tactics as they occur is an enlightening exercise.
On Sunday’s This Week, President Obama’s defacto spokesman, V.P. Joe Biden, was sent to poison the well. Host Jake Tapper asked, “The NAACP had a convention in the last week, and they passed a resolution saying that elements of the Tea Party are racist. Do you think elements of the Tea Party are racist?”
The presidential reply is as follows:
Well, the truth is that at least elements that were involved in some of the Tea Party folks expressed racist views, you saw that on television. But, I don’t think — I don’t — I wouldn’t characterize the Tea Party as racist.
There are individuals who are either members of or on the periphery of some of their things, their — their protests — that have expressed really unfortunate comments. And, again, it was all over TV, all over your network, you know? A black Congressman walking up the stairs of the Capitol.
But, I don’t believe, the president doesn’t believe that the Tea Party is, uh, is a racist organization. I don’t believe that. Very conservative. Very different views on government and a whole lot of things. But it is not a racist organization.
The day before, on Geraldo at Large, New Black Panther Party leader Malik Zulu Shabazz, in more blunt language, likewise endorsed the NAACP:
“A black man, really, or a black leader cannot be a racist… I have the right to use different language… We endorse fully the NAACP resolution.”
Obama’s mentor, Saul Alinsky would describe his disciple as a “realistic radical,” while denouncing Shabazz as a “rhetorical radical.”
The failed attempt by radicals and their propagandist water-carriers to demonize the Tea Party recalls a 1972 incident at Tulane University in which Saul Alinsky himself instructed students in how to disrupt a Vietnam speech by then UN representative, George H.W. Bush. Alinsky told them to dress as Ku Klux Klan, cheer and wave ‘K.K.K. Supports Bush’ signs.
David Horowitz writes:
Lenin once said that the purpose of a political argument is not to refute your opponent “but to wipe him from the face of the earth.”
Therefore seize on any weapon, in this case a symbol of one of the greatest evil that any Americans were ever associated with, and use it to obliterate everything good America ever did. If America’s cause in Vietnam is the Ku Klux Klan, then its cause is evil and America is evil.
Déjà vu…
As with contemporary Soros-paid stooges, Obama, the New Black Panthers, the Congressional Black Caucus, or NAACP don’t care about the facts of the Tea Party movement. Smearing the Tea Party as “racist” is a political weapon, intended to demand its members be ‘wiped from the face of the earth,’ or, at least, to neutralize any influence they can have on domestic politics.
Biden’s implicit endorsement of the NAACP’s “racist” resolution is practiced in the art of deception-by-equivocation, mis-communication. Mr. Shabazz’s in-artful declaration is intentional shock and awe rhetoric.
Regardless, the true meaning and important historical value of the very word ‘racism’ is in swift decline. The abuse of the word has been freely accepted and projected by the unscrupulous Cry-Wolf Left. With the help of the compliant media, it has brandished this weapon successfully for decades. It is impossible for it to resist another round.
Leftists’ irrational “Racism!” shibboleth — destroyed by Andrew Breitbart’s $100K United Negro College Fund reward for proof of (planted) “elements that were involved in some of the Tea Party folks’ expressions of racist views… all over TV” — is shamefully now a presidential talking point.
Alinsky would be proud of this Big Lie. But, his tactics now boomerang on radicals more often than not:
Rule#4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules.
Rule #11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.
The Left’s brazenly attempted “racist” smear against the American diversity that defines the Tea Party is resulting in failure. Of course, results don’t really matter to these radicals, because their ends justify their means.
Does it even matter to radicals — whose morals are not governed by either truth, or common sense, but instead by a crusade for collective salvation? No.
David Horowitz elaborates:
The radical organizer, Alinsky explains, “does not have a fixed truth – truth to him is relative and changing; everything to him is relative and changing. He is a political relativist.” And that will do it. Being a radical in the service of the higher good is a license to do anything that is required to achieve that good.
Including lie, cheat, steal, assault, or worse.
Which is why, ultimately, this racist gambit remains an extremely dangerous distraction for all good Americans while their government is rapidly shredding our Constitution, the rule of law in favor of the rule of men, selling and ultimately chaining us into serfdom.
With the American economy on the rocks, unemployment approaching depression levels, foreclosures and bankruptcies on the rise, trillions of devalued dollars being printed, millions of gallons of oil poisoning the Gulf, and American prestige abroad being systematically diminished, America faces dire times.
Radical tactics, now on full display, hammer a long-war counter-revolution down upon what’s left of the free world. Good people dread the catastrophic fallout of the radical conflict, and whether or not they will be able pick up the pieces of the devastation.
And that’s just the way the chaotic Left likes it.

Jake Tapper’s question itself–“Do you think elements of the Tea Party are racist?”–is itself “Poisoning the well”.
Are there any racists in a loose affiliation of tens of millions of people? How absurd. The question is clearly design to suggest racism by establishing a hurdle that is impossibly low to refute. It's guilt by continuous innuendo or guilt by association.
A good response to Tapper's question might be…
“Do you think there are any child molesters in the Democratic party? And, Mr. Tapper, do you renounce child molestation now and distance yourself from these child molesters in the Democratic party?”
Biden is a meally mouthed clown that is first in line to be President of this country if something happens to BHO. Does that make anyone as nervous as me?
Great read Adam! This is all good stuff, a blog altered a White House, well done Andrew, and remember actions tell you many things, that the mouth will not.
Alinsky tactics will not work on former disciples of Alinsky, we understand, by any means necessary, and will give as good as we get!
For more than 45 years Black America has observed their half of their "bargain with the Devil" – which is to say they have monolithically voted for Democratic Party candidates in exchange for the implied payoff of receiving their share of prosperity through the good offices of Democratic Party government programs and systems. The ultimate bargain was based upon the assumption the pre-Civil Rights era poverty, racism and destruction of Black America by Democrats would be replaced with a new mantra of government supervision of their lives to ensure their families "progressed" to the same standard-of-living and the same lifestyle in a way that would achieve moral parity with the work ethic and family values of all other cultures within the American economy.
After 45 years, the results have been truly debilitating and Black America can truly claim that its support of the Democratic Party has resulted in nothing more than a new kind of slavery – one where the new masters (the Democratic Party) will not even flatter its victims with the dignity of chains. Black American families no longer exist as the rule of thumb, but as the exception to self-imposed, drug-plagued racial ghettos of government-enforced poverty and dependence that has replaced the Black American nuclear family. In the first year of the Great Society (1966 – the first year of the new entitlements that were designed to primarily benefit Black America) the poverty rate in America was 13%. Last year the poverty rate in America was 13%.
Liberalism, progressivism and the policies of every Democratic caucus and promise have proven to be failures as their core philosophical assumption is not one of promoting economic growth, but of promoting a criminal conspiracy that works out to be a reverse Robin Hood scheme where the government steals from the rich, keeps most for its backers and hands out alms to the poor in sufficient quantity to keep them permanently poor and dependent.
Black America is (finally) beginning to realize they have been had by virtue of this Devil's bargain and the use of the racism charge is the last remaining leg supporting the liberal-progressive agenda. It can immediately distract people and this is good for avoiding accountability. It can be used to enforce voter/party discipline and voting and this is the most important part of the entire program.
Once Black America wakes up and realizes they have been screwed by Democrats for 45 years, the Democratic Party is finished in America forever and Democrats know this. You can expect them to do anything to prevent Black Americans from having the unmitigated gall of demanding the right to think for themselves.
"Revolution" by the Beatles has started to take on added meaning with Obama, something written so long ago resonates anew.
That Lennon guy was a pretty good lyricist once he felt he had something to say.
Unfortunately for them we now know that all of that post-Woodstock hippie rhetoric was nothing but hogwash.
Imagine? Now that they are in power that "one world" crap really just meant one world for them and one world for the rest of us. And the latter gets to pay for their world.
One wonders what Lennon might think about the people controlling the White House and Congress. Well no. Sir Paul has already made it clear that it is about money for them and power for their concocted ideals. And considering who Sir Paul chose to write up that last pre-nup it is safe to say their ideals aren't worth the toilet paper they are written on.
How did Sheryl Crow put it? "He was high on intellectualism, I've never been there but the brochure looks nice." Yes Sheryl. It's all been nothing but a brochure.
Arguing with the NAACP is a waste of time. We need to hit them with evidence of a contradiction of their policies and then walk away. They are like a group of women having a great time complaining about men and then along comes a man who tries to help them. Get out of here! They don't want help they just want to complain about men. The NAACP does not want to work with anyone to solve what they think are racist issues with any white group. They just want the issue!
Thank You Mr Baldwin!
"Linderman" is still my favorite part that you played in the movie "My Bodyguard", you actually are that person and I thank you wholeheartedly for living up to the personal salvation, character and righteousness that defined him.
This country needs a lot more "Linderman's" and a lot less "Moody's" and "Big Mike's"….
That movie still makes me cry happily when I think of it and I hope I can find a copy of it somewhere to watch again because of its faith in humanity, common sense and civility.
You are one of the proud few actors left in Hollywood that is not afraid to express true love for this country and that gives me faith that all is not lost yet.
You Rock!
God bless you!
To sum up Joe Biden's thoughts, in his own words –
"But, I don’t think — I don’t …"
Be careful they don't try to get Chuck cancelled or you fired from the show to punish you for speaking out, Adam. We're talking about the sort of sick puppies here who would falsely accuse someone of racism, "rhetorically" talk about smashing someone through a plate-glass window "to let the right know that it needs to live in a state of constant fear", and who fantasize about enjoying watching their political opponents die. Leftist revolutions always end with piles of bodies because despite all of their self-proclaimed intelligence, education, and sophistication, below the surface lies commons street thugs.
Exactly.
Did you happen to catch Lil' Rikki Sanchez'es interview with Ann Coulter?
She asked that same question of him.
My preferred response to this contrived and spurious line of questioning would be, No – you shut up.
Because that is exactly what they saying when they ask such stupid, loaded questions..
Let's not forget that racism is a tactic of distraction. It is not now, nor has it ever really been, the subject.
The subject has been a government allowing its spending to spiral horribly out-of-control. The subject has been a government that simply declines to live up to its civic responsibilities. The subject are the POLICIES of Barack Obama — not his race.
The far left cannot defend Obama's policies, so they lobbed accusations at Obama's critics that, by design, could not be defended against.
They took the political coward's way out — shame on them.
Dead on.
Let me preface this with an obligatory but heartfelt tribute to Andrew Breitbart. I admire the man, and he is a visionary. That said–and meant–this isn't about Andrew. The Left is in the midst of a full-blown nervous breakdown. In their enemies they apprehend a mastery of techniques that kept them in power for 40 years. The Right doesn't believe in moral and factual relativism. Conservatives have learned from the Left's techniques but don't have to rely on deception and fraud and manufactured outrages to win arguments and elections.
All of which ties back into how the Left maintained power for two generations. The aforementioned manufactured charges were repeated dutifully by the Left's sycophants in the old media. There were no outlets to balance the lies. Those days ended first with Limbaugh, and now so many other voices that the genie cannot be put back into the bottle. We are in the last days of left-wing dominance, and no one is more aware of that reality than the Left.
"(1966 – the first year of the new entitlements that were designed to primarily benefit Black America) the poverty rate in America was 13%. Last year the poverty rate in America was 13%."
And how much money have we spent since 1966 redistributing income for the "war on poverty"?
As usual, big government is a dismal failure. Yet, I cannot blame those who still seek government to solve the world's problems & create heaven on earth…….I suppose a pathetic god is better than no god at all.
"Leftists and their demagogic shibboleths have crumbled in retreat from Andrew Breitbart’s $100,000 Unted Negro College Fund reward for proof of the — now presidential — claim of seeing (planted) “elements that were involved in some of the Tea Party folks expressed racist views… all over TV.”
Alinsky tactics are now boomeranging on radicals more often than not – Rule#4:
Make opponents live up to their own book of rules."
Ann Coulter mastered this one in her appearance with Rick Sanchez on CNN. She tore him to shreds simply by arguing that the left has as much evidence of the "N-word" charge as we do of Rick Sanchez liking kiddie porn. It was a thing of beauty actually the way she executed Rule #4!!!
I don't recall seeing it Joe? Could you send me a copy of the tape so I can get Andrew to fess up the $100,000.00. That would get my HOPE & CHANGE thing going.
When is the left going to define acceptable language for all as non-victims. I'm finding it harder and harder to speak clearly without offending some rent seeking radical.
Patrick,
Racism is actually more than a distraction for the left. It’s a important tactic of “victims” groups—a linchpin in the arsenal that the left fights with.
They seek to make redistribution of wealth a moral imperative because it “equalizes the outcome” for blacks and other victims groups.
If you are against the progressive tax system, you are Equality of Outcome and thus labeled a racist.
Racism has “progressed” from what Martin Luther King sought–a color blind society—to institutionalized favoritism that is all about color.
Social justice is another term that attempts to use race as a moral foundation for racism.
Yes i did. She was brilliant. Sanchez had no response. We need more conseravatives who can respond to the MSM's bigotry and Obama cheerleading like she can. I've yet to see a GOP politician handle the MSM like Ann.
Possible big news on Drudge. He is reporting that the Obama administration may have secretly supported the release of the Lockerbie bomber! If this is true it could be a huge scandal. Did they do it? If they did it, did they do it because of the ties of Rahm Emanuel to B.P. or because of all of the campaign donatios given to Obama by B.P.? If this is confirmed what happens from here?
I honestly believe it would take elections every 3 or 4 months to keep a progressives brain functioning correctly. I don't think they understand that if you let these tax cuts expire that you punish working stiffs like me who will end up paying 25% income tax instead of 22.3% income tax. But never fear the MSM will cover and will never hold the great one to the same standard they held George Bush Sr. to with his "read my lips no new taxes" came back to haunt him. Ahhhh nothing like progressive and liberal consistency of being inconsistent.
"A black man, really, or a black leader cannot be a racist… I have the right to use different language… We endorse fully the NAACP resolution." – Malik Zulu Shazzam
"Neither the Marxians nor the racists nor the supporters of any other brand of polylogism ever went further than to declare that the logical structure of mind is different with various classes, races, or nations. They never ventured to demonstrate precisely in what the logic of the proletarians differs from the logic of the bourgeois, or in what the logic of the Aryans differs from the logic of the non-Aryans, or the logic of the Germans from the logic of the French or the British. In the eyes of the Marxians the Ricardian theory of comparative cost is spurious because Ricardo was a bourgeois. The German racists condemn the same theory because Ricardo was a Jew, and the German nationalists because he was an Englishman. Some German professors advanced all these three arguments together against the validity of Ricardo’s teachings. However, it is not enough to reject a theory wholesale by unmasking the background of its author. What is wanted is first to expound a system of logic different from that applied by the criticized author. Then it would be necessary to examine the contested theory point by point and to show where in its reasoning inferences are made which—although correct from the point of view of its author’s logic—are invalid from the point of view of the proletarian, Aryan, [African-American -ed.], or German logic. And finally. it should be explained what kind of conclusions the replacement of the author’s vicious inferences by the correct inferences of the critic’s own logic must lead to. As everybody knows, this never has been and never can be attempted by anybody." – Ludwig von Mises, Human Action
There cannot be a standard of behavior that is ethically acceptable for one imagined group of people and non-acceptable for another. Arbitrariness in codes of behavior erode the very rationale for codes of behavior; it is not compatible with justice of any kind – social, economic, legal, or racial. The shade of color of one's skin is irrelevant as far as ethics should be concerned. Arguing the contrary would be like claiming that the color of a jet fighter would have an impact on the laws of aerodynamics.
If the shows want to get the big names, whether its written to or orally agreed to, or just understood, you throw them softballs.
If you don't they won't be back.
Which of course its a complete cop out, but we've already seen what the MSM is capable of. Moden liberals in the MSM will never, ever, ask tough questions of those they support. Only a real reporter would do that. Not these pantywaists.
Adam, you've always been one of my favorite actors, and now you're one of my favorite commentators. Keep it coming.
Individuals need to wake up and realize they are being screwed. Race has nothing to do with it. The only reason it comes up is to use as a political weapon.
Personally I refuse to accept it as a weapon. I refuse to accept that premise that race is political.
"If you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao, you ain't going to make it with anyone any how."
Saul Alinsky dedicated his book Rules for Radicals to "the very first radical, Lucifer."
A copy of this book sits on the president's nightstand. That's what Obama wakes to at 3AM.
I do not concur with that.
Social justice is worth pursuing. However, there are two omni-prescient questions regarding it:
1. What IS social justice?
2. How is it best achieved?
Conservatives who don't care about these questions cannot win, and don't deserve to win. What we need are alternative concepts of social justice. What we already have are superior methods of achieving it.
Biden sort of looks like Alinsky, without his glasses.
If the Democrats retain both houses of congress this fall I will say it was all worth it and if we
had to we should had done more. But Thank G-d that Republicans per usual are very soft
and easy targets. G-d Bless 'em!
"There cannot be a standard of behavior that is ethically acceptable for one imagined group of people and non-acceptable for another." Unfortunately, our society tolerates far too much of this.
Back when I was in college, there was a campus organization which formed to protest apartheid. Ironically, many of the leaders of this organization were also agitating for the creation of a student union which would exclude whites.
I disagree. Obama memorized it years ago.
Wow… really?
Well, that explains everything then.
Lucifer=The Father of Lies.
Ahhh…another Ann Coulter fan!
It is just too bad that most "conservative" pundits have bought into the liberal media line on Ann – that she is smart, but too much of a smartass…a "bomb-thrower", and so on.
Truth be told, Coulter is the smartest, bravest, most persistent, most well-armed (with actual facts), voice for the right since William F. Buckley. Ever read her books? They are chock-full of citations for every single claim she makes.
She's a true treasure, and pricks like Bill O'Reilly who refuse to acknowledge her value (while simultaneously tooting his own weak, out-of-tune horn) really do our cause a disservice.
Ann is too tough and proud to admit it, but so much of the criticism of her is due to the fact that she is a woman.
Maybe not blatant sexism (and what the fuck is that anyway?). It's something innate – some natural aversion to aggression and confrontation in a female.
When people tell me how Ann is "too confrontational", or that she says this or that solely to elicit some kind of reaction, or any of the other raps against her, I always tell them, next time you see her opining on anything, just do what I do – imagine that instead of her, it is a man saying these things.
No lie – in that context, her opinions don't seem any more aggressive or confrontational than those of any of her co-panelists.
That's a good one!
I don't know who reads it to him — maybe he just looks at the pictures.
Alinsky was worse than a relativist. He didn't care one way or the other what the truth was, he was merely interested in the gamesmanship involved in upending a current power structure and replacing it with another one. He was well aware that the new people in power would commit the same abuses as the old people, and he didn't believe in any kind of utopia.
He just dug stirring things up for the sake of stirring them up, and he was extremely good at it, and furthermore, he may have dedicated his book to Lucifer but he didn't believe in any devil or god apart from his own cleverness.
And yes, he would have had little use for true-believing ideologues like Shabazz or anyone else like that.
Lets not give the Alinsky type radicals to much credit.
There are still very, very few regular Americans who wouldn't reject out of hand everything the neo-radicals stand for.
The blame still belongs to us, we let this happen.
Obama has not one new idea that we don't have an answer for.
Has anyone noticed that Charlie Rangel is being investigated for ethics violations. Is anyone talking about the fact that the financial reform legislation has placed into law a requirement that anyone applying for a mortgage must first gain approval of the govenrment.
The more we talk about Sherrod and the NAACP and this crap we engender the democratic base and quit talking about our issues. Let's not lose sight of the ball people. If we want the deficit handled and our credit rating back we can't just elect Republicans, we have to elect Tea Party Conservatives. People that will finally do what is needed. This is a major effort and I think we need to understand the NAACP goal in riling us up over Racism. We need to seriously start treating the NAACP as the truly irrelevant group that the are and get the focus off Obama ad on the @$$ clowns in congress that are bankrupting us. We can't vote Obama out for another two years.
Remeber November, an elephant never forgets
