Today is the day that I have been invited to go on MSNBC for the very first time. At no point during the ACORN story was I put on the hot seat to defend the work of James O’Keefe. My thesis from day one has been that the mainstream media is biased in favor of the left and MSNBC is its most obvious case study.
So when MSNBC led the charge on Tuesday against James O’Keefe when he and three others were arrested in New Orleans at Senator Landrieu’s office, it came as no surprise that the cable network seized upon a narrative that presumed O’Keefe’s guilt, falsely extrapolated that he was being charged with felony wiretapping and instantaneously coined and repeated endlessly the new buzz phase, “Watergate Jr.”
Thus it came as no surprise to me that Keith Olbermann’s super sub, David Shuster, called me early Wednesday. ”Watergate Jr.” pushed MSNBC to send Shuster down to New Orleans to own the destruction-by-media of James O’Keefe and anyone in his proximity. I immediately told Shuster that I had been getting emails about his absurd, over-the-top and rush-to-judgment journalism. He told me that I had him confused with Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann, that he has “no horse in this race.” He asked that I come on his show and that he would give me a fair interview. He proceeded to send me the following emails to formalize the request. See below (emphasis mine):

As you see, Shuster is attempting to lure me into this story based upon the false premise of his objective neutrality. Notice he says, “As I said, I don’t have a horse in this race.” A simple Google search of David Shuster and James O’Keefe immediately finds that Shuster went into a Twitter frenzy to tar and feather James O’Keefe and propagated what are now provably false lies about the Landrieu case.
As I am signing off here, I have just been informed that MSNBC has admonished Shuster for “inappropriate” twitter comments. But what about Shuster’s obvious lie that he has no “horse in this race,” a lie he used to try to get me into the Obama-stimulus-infused, bias-laden MSNBC eco-system? Could there be a greater admission of a journalist’s political investment in a storyline than divining (“the truth is, you intended to tap her phones”) a subject guilty of a crime he has not even been accused of? Remember, Shuster has sold out Olbermann and Maddow as the ideologues in the newsroom. If Shuster is their idea of journalistic neutrality, I can continue to sleep well acting as a journalist who openly admits that he comes to the table with a unique political perspective.
How much do you want to bet David Shuster’s incomprehensible behavior and MSNBC’s rush to convict James O’Keefe will be a subject at the next Comcast shareholders’ meeting?

Oh, Mr. Breitbart – don't go any where near that cess pool, please!
Keep up the heat Andrew the old press is squirming. As always they’ve over reached, now off with their heads(metaphorically of coarse)!
Andrew,
Wonderful post. Horrible typing. You need to either reread before posting or send it through a copy editor.
Hey, I'm available!
With their ratings in the toilet, they have to try anything. I have seen on Drudge that their ratings are pitiful compared to Fox and others.
Andrew,
You should have accepted the request and baited the guy until he fully showed his true colors for the whole You Tube world to see.
Poor David, not only has he been hand slapped for tweeting his bias by MSNBC of all places, but now he has to face Andrew. Poor, poor David.
Oh, yeah. Sure. "You will have plenty of time to make your points and respond…"
Wear a motorcycle helmet with full face shield to protect from liberal spittle, and one of these so you get a word in edgewise:

so this is where crazy people go for news
he did exactly that
I wouldnt appear on MSNBC for anything. They are a lost cause, and no one watches them anyway. Would be a waste of Brietbart's valuable time and far superiour intellect to fool around with these chimpanzees.
I was watching Shuster on Chrissy's show last night and he seemed to have egg on his face admitting that it seems like there was nothing malicious or even illegal in what O'Keefe and others did. Matthews still insisted that they would be sent to prison anyway and cited a law saying that it is a felony to enter a federal building misrepresenting your identity with the intent to commit a felony. I thought that last line was rather interesting because Shuster had just told him that it appears they wern't doing anything illegal in the Senator's office. My presiction, O'Keefe knew the laws, expected this outcome, will get off scott free, and is just playing these guys for the fools we all know them to be.
I, too, have (repeatedly) offered to proof their work. So many simple never-to-be-fixed mistakes on the BIG sites (it's, its, their, there, etc) that even a picky homemaker thinks it makes us all look bad.
No matter how qualified and competent you are, you will not survive the beating you will receive at the hands of these fools. Your fatal flaw is that you are an honorable and honest man. It is difficult for decent humans to prepare themselves for interactions with sociopaths. Their brains do not function the same as those of mentally healthy people. No matter how irrational you think they will be, your prediction won't even be close. Good luck!
You looked like a 4 year old fighting on the play ground
Andrew, . I just watched you on MSNBC and I thought you were great.people. We need more journalist like you who are out there to tell the truth .
Andrew, this is to inform you that it wouldn't be wise to appear on my show, as originally requested. I really planned in making you a laughing stock, and that your credibility would forever be non existent. Sincerely, David Shuster -

You clowns on this site wouldn't no the true if it bit you in your butt. Lack of education, lack of friends of a different race and believing everything you are told by Fox News and Grudge and the rest of the conservative race sites. Ignorant people believe anything that they are told b/c they lack a brain to think on t heir own.
Take No Quarter !!
Screw you!! You are an IDIOT. And the RUDEST oerson (?) ever seen on television.
You little BABY, crying about NOT being on TV before. You PUSS!
Disrespectfully yours,
Richard
Winning line….Schuster asks, "do you pay O'Keefe"….you ask….does the obama administration pay GE (MSNBC) billions of dollars?
couldn't believe my eyes when seeing andrew on msn, while flipping channels, nice job! totally entertaining watching you call shuster out! Am i the only one who thinks he looks like a male version of rachel maddow, maybe its his alter ego? good job on reminding them theat there is such thing as a legal process, and calling it mini watergate is just so unoriginal, msn is like a parody news channel, like the onion, but more dangerous.
Thank god for google. Good job Andrew.
This is a story about WHY this SENATE OFFICE IGNORES the PUBLIC that it supposedly represents by routing constituent calls to Timbuktu (which is apparently NOT in "Scary Mary's" state).
It is obvious that MSNBC sees an opening to DEFEND ACORN and the criminality that is ACORN/SEIU/OBAMA by discrediting O'Keefe and Co.
MSNBC=RATINGS FAILURE
"How much do you want to bet David Shuster’s incomprehensible behavior and MSNBC’s rush to convict James O’Keefe will be a subject at the next Comcast shareholders’ meeting?"
Shuster is a tool for MSNBC.
He is a super sub for Olberman.
Probably even bottoms for him……….
Bill S……………….Are you a black Democrat on the "gubment" dole? Just "axing"…………..[REV Wright]
If O'Keefe could pull that off, doing all of this knowing the outcome, then he is a genius and is my man of the year.
And another thing…Those who implement race into a conversation that has nothing to do with race are usually the racist ones!!!
Wow. When Andrew went on Schuster's show to confront him, he looked like a total jackass!
Andrew, great work as always. The images of Schuster, the MSNBC logo below them, and the over-the-top bias clearly evidenced by the tweets ("wingnut", "trying to bug", "the truth is you intended to tap her phones", "I'm enjoying this a lot") leave NO DOUBT to anyone that MSNBC is not a news organization. They have become a propaganda machine, and not even an effective one at that.
By declining to appear on MSNBC, you have not only refrained from associating with scoundrels, you have also denied them a boost in ratings and credibility.
Government is in the hands of realists, and in the end we shall prevail.
You little, little small-minded creature.
Big Rich
Junction City, OR
Fervent
I really love how Schuster cited MediaMatters.
ANYONE who cites MM is a dunce. I expected better from a "journalist" (snort!), but that will never happen again. Not where MSNBCis concerned.
I feel like I'm watching Hannibal dupe Varro at Cannae.
Hey look! It's Ellie Light everyone!
HI ELLIE!!
Will look forward to your next visit on Red Eye.
Meanwhile, way to go!
Wiretapping or not, these damn fools entered a federal building and touched phone equipment fraudulently. They should go to jail. While they are there, they can practice writing comics books that may be taken more seriously that the crap they get paid to produce.
It must really suck to be wrong all the time. You got your OJ.
I no the true! I totally no the true! And I'll bet I'm almost as educated as you are … to? or is it too? or two? If only I had your education it wouldn't matter.
PS: It's "too".
I usually do not comment on posts, but I had to respond. I cannot stand MSNBC and their anchors. I was changing channels and saw the Shuster interview and watched. It was too funny! He was trying to not let you state your point. You handled yourself well and he looked like an idiot. If O'keefe really did try to tamper with phones, he is an idiot and should be in jail. I did see his videos on Acorn and applaud them. About time someone stood up and let people know! But i do not feel he should go as far as to break the law with the phone thing. That is just wrong! My point is that David Shuster is a complete fool and you owned him today! You kept correcting him and I just loved it! I would not have known of this site if not for the interview! Haha!
Why spend one minute on that network. Anything Andrew says that appears to be beneficial to a conservatiev cause will will be edited out.
Anyrate I heard Limbaugh speculating the real reason O'Keefe was there was to prove that Landrieu had turned off her phone lines.
MSNBC is upset only because David Schuster got caught being the biased hack he truly is.
It's not like MSNBC is worried about their image being tarnished.
You are right Ben. They are looking for ratings at the expense of Andrew. My bet is that they will scream and not let him express his points–as usual. I don't do TV so you have to report here. Thanks.
Some might say he's a part owner. . .
Lol! "no the true?" How's that liberal edumacation working out for you?
It's the last perjorative the regressives *think* that works. The trouble is, they've played it so much in the last year or two that it's losing its effect. We're racists? YAWN !-0 Look in the mirror, regressives, and see who's obsessed with the color of peoples' skin.
Right. After all, O'Keefe and his connection to Andrew aren't the real story. . it's MSNBC's ratings. . .
I like the theory that Mr. O'keefe, who I consider a journalist, went to Landreau's office to figure out why she doesnt answer the phone. (I am sure her constituents are POed and would like her to know), which is not against the law. Why else would he be taping the incident. Of course the MSM is going to portray this as some sort of Watergate (which I feel was blown way out of proportion, not that I support what went down that night), and try to smear him. That is their standard MO, smear, attack, magnify (unless its a Progressive/Socialist) to make a evil Constitutionalist appear evil in the court of public opinion. I wish Mr. O' Keefe well.
Can we play "Race Card Bingo"?
Educate YOURSELF, Bill S.
Well, I can say Andrew is that MSNBC is a corrupt bunch of windbags and they just try to hammer anyone that does not see it there way…. case in point luring you in to try and thank god YOU HAMMERED or called him out….thumbs up..
Keep up the good fight!
That would make a ton of sense, actually. Why aren't more details being released? Why was he recording with a cell phone camera. That…is a pretty good theory.
i thought Maddow looked like the male version of Maddow
It is interesting that liberals always have to call others names, and as bad as they think will be tolerated. The only racists I see are the reverse racists.
what a scum bag that scheuster.
and he's on location? for what?
just wanted him out of the studio i guess.
i guess his rancid stink was too much for Mr. Matthews. he needed a break.
You have to be one of the dumbest racists I've ever met.
Go slobber somewhere else fool.
I've got to say. That interview let me know about this site (didn't even know about it until now). I've just looked through the content of your news site, and I've got to say: What a paranoid, sorry, pathetic little online rag you run. And judging by the comments listed on this site, your readers seem to be just as pathetic and misinformed as you. Or maybe they're misinformed BECAUSE of you. Probably. What a bunch of losers.
Saw the video. Schuster is such a lying sack of male bovine excrement. At least you took a page from the book of Ann Coulter (Hubba! Hubba!) by doing what they do – when he tries to talk over you, you talk over him right back! Kick MSNBC's BUTT!
BWAAAAHHAAAAHHHAAAAAA
You can't even write a comprehensible sentence. Typical liberal.
What a shock your name's Dick….
LOL. Obsessed much, Rich? You already put a foamy mouthed message on this thread.
And by the by, realists? You mean the ones who came up with Cash for Clunkers? Uh huh. Back to the ganja patch you go. Buh bye.
don't go near there, it will be a ambush, get them to specify how much time, and who else will be there. they will have two or three hacks, and give you fifteen seconds to answer ten thousand questions. stay away!
That took a lot of class, troll.
I guarantee you that if every single allegation, question, and premise coming out of Shuster's mouth come directly from Media Matters.
David Shuster is a Media Matters puppet.
…oh, and Keith Olbermann's bitch.
Before accusing anyone of "lack of education" I advise you read your adolescent comment. Spelling and grammar = atrocious. Lack of common sense and talking points= as expected from a Lib.
Andrew is a much better looking man than Maddow.
Let's see, calling Breitbart rude while you hurl insults at him. Yeah, a winning Liberal we have here, ain't that cute`
How MSNBC employs a reporter, not a commentator or analyst but a reporter, who is that ideologically driven is just beyond belief. Shuster is a COMPLETE DISGRACE to journalism.
Use facts, not insults. Name calling is the classic motivation of those who can't fight or make an standing fact-based argument.
You are an idiot and unfortunately there are a lot of you. How else did Obama get into office. You and your lack of education and common sense are the true problem with America.
Project much, b-loser?
Remember when slimy little Shuster got woodshedded for saying the Clinton campaign was "pimping out" Chelsea? This little worm is desperate for ratings. Great job taking him on! Keep it up!
What's amazing to me is that Shuster said all of this on Twitter and was stupid enough to assume that a man who made his fortune on the internet doesn't know how to do a google search. Forget journalistic integrity, where is this man's common sense? It doesn't matter though. No one knows who Shuster is, and as for the other two- Olbermann probably got more views when he was admonished on the Daily Show than he does in an entire week of his own program.
I really hope O'Keefe didn't do anything stupid. Landrieu is trash, but it's not worth going to jail over.
Shuster didn't seem to be interested in hearing any of your answers to his questions. Seems to me his mind was made up.
Andrew, normally I wouldn't encourage anyone to go on MSNBC but I have seen how you handle yourself and more importantly how you handle the left. Anyhow, if I was a bettin man I would put 20 on you Mr. Breitbart. Shuster wouldn't stand a chance!!! Thanks for all that you do, I honestly feel that the work you have done on all the Big sites have really changed up the game. Keep up the good work, we need you now more than ever.
Shocked to discover that not everyone agrees with you?
I guess I have a number of questions.
1)Why would someone "enjoy" the prosecution of a 25 year old kid, whose only known action previously was to expose wrongdoing at ACORN?
2) Have to brush up current libel law, is this kid a public figure? If so, the "journalist" sent to cover the incident…did his comments on Twitter amount to malice aforethought? There is nothing I see that indicates any protection of the "alleged" criminal acts.
3) In fact, it appears that through innuendo, he is trying to tie Andrew to those acts.
4) As an act in furtherance, he tells Andrew that he's not like Olbermann or Maddow…and he "doesn't have a horse in this race". Is he setting up an entrapment, so that he can intentionally further damage either the 25 yr old kid…or Andrew…or both?
5) Is this the business that MSNBC is in? Rush to judgment, declarations of guilt over the alleged, wholesale innuendo, entrapment, …I'm having a hard time seeing the absence of malice here.
And this sneering, venomous quote keeps ringing in my ears: "Oh, and did I mention that your tweet will help prosecutors prove intent. Keep at it, young man. I'm enjoying this a lot".
You think those words might be haunting in the future?
As compared to the MSM who push their lies with eloquent prose and perfect grammar.
Wait, conservatism is a race? Who knew!
Easy dude, don't let the libs paint you as an angry white dude. I'm with you and what you stand for but arguing with people that refuse to use the truth or real facts. It just comes out as noise.
[...] And he’s also a liar. [...]
Nice Tweets, Shuster. Looks like you do indeed have a "horse" in this race, you biased piece of shit.
Presumtion of innocence is apparently something only a privilege to be enjoyed by the left and the rest of their zombie legions.
Oh please stop whining.
You hired a moron to get you some phony scoops and it blew-up into your face.
It’s not Shuster’s fault if you’re the laughing stock of American news for a couple of cycles. It’s yours only.
Breitbart, you really should stop accusing James O’Keefe of trafficking in child sex slaves. That’s not a very good defense for your favorite employee.
Stick to the crimes that really happened. Like when your favorite employee conspired to prevent a U.S. senator from communicating with her constituents in an effort to show how little she cares about communicating with her constituents. (By the way, only Republicans are capable of missing the hypocrisy.)
Keep up the good work.
I can't imagine a reporter on Fox News sending such inflammatory and biased tweets. This was revelatory of the true nature of the radical left and their propaganda press at MSNBC. It is a priori proof of what we knew all along — that the news outlets aren't objective. They're not reporting news. They're fabricating it!
i meant shuster and maddowe they look identical even down to the feathered part in the hair!
I guess we were absent the day the government schools taught that one!
You have to admit, they're entertaining…for about one minute! Then they're just annoying. But I guess that's the reaction they're after – they're such children.
Andrew…
What were thinking dude…????
At MSNBC they don't just drink the Kool-Aid.
They make it !!!!!
That's hilarious! Are you in your tantrum-tainted terrible two's?
"You clowns on this site wouldn't no the true if it bit you in your butt. Lack of education"…
Stop right there.
"…wouldn't NO the TRUE…"
And bill S accuses the "clowns on this site" of having a "lack of education".
Hey bill. Is ACORN on time with their check this month?
Gotta tell you, I’m no fan of Shuster but I think he won this one. Time for you to start working in a reality based world. Remember – the TRUTH has a liberal bias and it seems your bias is taking you further and further from that truth. You’re a smart guy, at least show a little good faith. The guy got caught.
It was damn nice of him to allow Andrew to a get a few words in there, since he invited him on the show to tell his side of the story.
The racists in our society are the ones that view everything through race-colored lenses. If you want to see a racist, then go look in the mirror!
Race-obsessed is RACIST!
NO THE TRUE!!!
GET THE WHOLE BRAN IN YOUR NASAL CAVITY!
COLON ALL TEE PARTY PEOPLE TO NO THE TRUE!
[...] Breitbart takes it to David Shuster over ACORN, James O’Keefe and MSNBC’s general bias. As an aside, let me [...]
Exactly what Hugh Hewitt told Andrew about what was said about him being the "employer." He said Andrew might have a slander suit.
Right on Breitbart. Shuster is such a shill for the left.
You are all very unhinged lately. Where's the "hope"? Where's that "change in tone"?
Man you guys get completely frakked when you're losing.
Not that I expect it to matter to anyone, but… whether he "bugged" the phone or not, he DEFINATELY misrepresented himself in order to gain access to a Federal building. Isn't that a felony in and of itself – like that kid who snuck the fake pipe-bomb onto a plane in order to "make a point" about airline security?
Can someone PLEASE explain why Microsoft still allows its name to be associated with this trailer-trash-of-a-"news network" ?
