It was Bob Kjellander and Dennis Hastert who combined to push out GOP chairman [too rich to steel]McDougall and put in Topinca. That trio and others made politics in Ill so distastefull for Peter Fitzgerald that he refused to run again. The Ill Republican Renaissance PAC shoved them in the open and the way is clear to build anew.

Yeah, wouldn't it have been great if Obama & Emanuel got away with having ACORN run the 2010 Decennial Census?

That would have been fun, having all those thugs go door-to-door getting personal information, doing some scouting for ensuing burglaries and identity theft.

I live in the City. (That's how refer we refer to Chicago in Northern Illinois. Simply, the City.) John Kass is the only truly valuable columnist in both our major daily papers.

When John Kass replaced Mike Royko word was he'd never live up to Royko. He didn't–didn't even try. Kass is his own man, and thank God for that.
