May 16, 2010, the day of the now infamous SEIU protest at the home of a Bank of America executive’s home in Chevy Chase, Maryland, also included a less publicized protest at the home of a J.P. Morgan bank executive. The protests were all about denouncing the “evil banks.”
As reported by the Washington Post:
The controversy surrounds a May 16 protest organized by liberal group National People’s Action and the Service Employees International Union.

According to the NPA’s website,
National People’s Action (NPA) is a Network of community power organizations from across the country that work to advance a national economic and racial justice agenda. NPA has over 200 organizers working to unite everyday people in cities, towns, and rural communities throughout the United States. For 38 years NPA has been a leader in the fight to hold banks accountable to the communities in which they serve and profit.
In the 1970s, National People’s Action spearheaded the fight to pass the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act and the Community Reinvestment Act, widely considered to be among the most transformative public policy to grow out of community organizing.
When you open the window to the organization’s Board of Directors, their names appear under the banner of the umbrella organization, Community Voices Heard, Inc. (CVH). Then, under the tab, “Strategic Alliances,” NPA appears.
In 2007, CVH reported receiving $772,474 in donations. Their website lists categories of “supporters.” Under contributing foundations and corporations, the list below is displayed following the statement that, “CVH Would Like To Thank the Following Institutional Organizations For Their Generous Support Of Our Work.”
| Booth Ferris Foundation | New York Women’s Foundation |
| Butler Family Fund | North Star Fund |
| Center for Community Change | Oak Foundation |
| Charles Stewart Mott Foundation | Presbytery of NYC |
| Citibank Local Grants | Public Welfare Foundation |
| Daphne Foundation | Robert Sterling Clark Foundation |
| Dyson Foundation | Rockefeller Foundation |
| Elias Foundation | Scherman Foundation |
| Ford Foundation | Sociological Initiatives Foundation |
| Fund for the City of New York | Solidago Foundation |
| F.B. Heron Foundation | Taproot Foundation |
| Glickenhaus Foundation | Tides Valentine Fund |
| Hill-Snowdon Foundation | Unitarian Universalist Veatch Program at Shelter Rock |
| JPMorgan Chase | United Way of NYC |
| Mertz-Gilmore Foundation | Valentine Perry Snyder Foundation |
| New York Community Trust |
So, the umbrella organization for the National People’s Action, whose anti-banking agenda drove the SEIU protestors to the home of two bank executives in Chevy Chase, ended up co-sponsoring the protest at the private residence of an executive from one of the “generous” institutional organizations that supports their cause.
How about that!
And CVH takes money from Citibank, too. Go figure.
Thanks for bringing that to our attention, Washington Post – not.

People who care about freedom should have nothing to do with anti-freedom organizations like SEIU, NPA, or all the many offshoots of ACORN.
"National People’s Action (NPA) is a Network of community power organizations from across the country that work to advance a national economic and racial justice agenda."
Translation: looters.
Bring your purple shirt party to my house and take one step on my property, and you'll be "protesting" to my SHOTGUN.

Interesting story. But this is surprising why…? The libs have absolutely no clue how wealth–NOT money–is created.
Methinks Atlas really wants to shrug right about now, and I wouldn't blame him.
That's what happens when you feed the wildlife.
See what happens when you inbreed?!
I went to the SEIU website and I now need a shower, they make a big deal about ethics – I suppose scaring the daylights out of a kid is deemed ethical, what the hell do I know? I was looking for a mission statement – what is it that they are supposed to stand for, an overall phrase that captures their ideology in a simple easy to understand nutshell. Couldn't find it although I didn't read thru everything. I thought something like that would be fairly obvious. There were some points dealing with promoting decent health care and wages and the like – okay nothing wrong with that. So what's up with the bus trips to private homes? What's with trespassing on private property? What's with beating up folks at town hall meetings? Behavior that is neither legal, moral, nor ethical but excused by our administration as acceptable. What exactly is their agenda and whose best interest are they really looking out for? Their words say one thing, their actions say another. When words and actions conflict how would anyone trust them?
There's no honor among thieves…OR IS THERE? This is a whole new generation of organized crime, innocent ranters and ravers are sucked into the indoctrination classrooms, put on buses (School (Government owned/leased) and led by "Chant masters" once they arrive at their target area!!! Once the "Show" is over, they are loaded back up on the (Illegally used government equipment) buses, transported back to their respective loading docks, given their candy and their fliers/literature and forgotten about, until needed again to form the next uncivil astroturf mob!!!!
How intertesting; an INCESTUOUS RELATIONSHIP that involves communist community shakedown organizing orgs. and "evil" banks and bankers.
What a huge surprise. Not.
As long as these banks can operate in a gray area like that supplied by TARP, where they are deemed "too Big To Fail" which is a load of garbage – that's what Federal Bankruptcy Courts are for – and these slimy urban shakedown outfits are around there's bound to be some "CROSSOVER".
Both are ABUSING the tax payer – the real victim of both of these bands of criminals.
If SEIU think banks are so evil then don't ask them for loans.
The F word! Why not? I wouldn't be surprised to find these bloodsucking power mongers behind every social horror including sex slaves. Wait…that sounds familiar, too…
Then "they", the Progressives, will win. They will say you represent a faction out of control and ride to the rescue of the nation bringing the claw of central govt.
It's "Workers of the world unite!" They don't think their people need any more than that.
Is any of this resonating with the Americans who refuse to take this centralized government movement seriously?
Red
Right…don't be surprised….The tentacles of the leftest octopus are everywhere…Everywhere corrupt..

exactly
IT is just another case of limp wrist-ed corporate invertebrates caving to pressure by groups using Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, tactics to extort money. Organizations like this bring a bunch of shouting people to your business and or house and attempt to unleash a bunch of unpaid attorneys to sue and harass. Give us XXX Dollars and we will go away.
It is no different than companies that are willing to settle on bogus injury claims, the more you settle, the more bogus injury claims come rolling in the door. It is only when you show some backbone and fight, do the bogus claims stop rolling in. If I ran an organization like the National Peoples Action Network, I would look to see what companies paid off Sharpton and Jackson, and I would go after them to get the money since they are already known to be chumps.

Amen, Spanky. This seems to be the connection everyone is missing. Example, the Sestak story. The real issue is not whether what the WH, or POTUS might have done or said is either a midemeanor, or a felony, or possibly impeachable. The issue is the deplorable behavior of our National leaders at the highest level, and their lack of reverence for a bulletproof electoral process. The sanctity of an individual's right to vote is a key cornerstone. America has served as the beacon for freedom around the world. To paraphrase Reagan: "if the US caves, where will they go?" If our president, and former presidents, and senators are manipulating the electoral process for their own evil ends, than exactly how free are we? Exactly how much is one vote worth? Damn right, its impeachable.
Note from an (obvious) extremist: The SA , or Hitler's "brownshirts" was formed for exactly the same purpose, and started out with exactly the same activities in the 1930's. Exactly.
People need to understand (as the neo-commies in charge DO understand) that "Social Justice" is NOT equal justice. It requires the elimination of equal justice in order to handicap those deemed not worthy of justice, by virtue of arbitrary measures, as decided upon by the most petty and envious among us.
Would democrats really give a rat's ass about illegal immigrants if they weren't expected to be a solid voting bloc for the neo-commie party? Maybe not so arbitrary of a decision in this case, but those screwed by it are arbitrarily chosen as collateral damage as a result of their policies.
First, I would have told them to leave; Second, while standing in the door with my shotgun, I would have turned on the sprinklers; third, if anyone touched my sprinklers, or any part of my property, or advanced toward me, I would have been overcome with unbearable fear and shot as many of them as I could. Let the police, the ones that were afraid to protect my son and property, come and clean up the bodies.
If the police decide to not get involved because, "it might make it worse", then I am obviously on my own, and will protect myself.
DO NOT BUY OR GO ANYWHERE A UNION EXISTS! UNIONS, LIKE THE AUTO WORKERS, TEACHERS AND SEIU, HAVE GIVEN THEMSELVES CORRUPT PENSIONS THAT WE ARE NOW EXPECTED TO PAY! WHEN THE EXTORTIONISTS ATTACK, LIKE IN GREECE, BE READY TO KILL AS MANY AS YOU CAN, AS A STRICTLY COST SAVING METHOD.

The real pathetic irony is these junior varsity-level commies are propped up with cash from the very interest they supposedly hate. This is what happens to all these anti-capitalist clowns. Look what Hugo Boss (Chavez) . He has proxy companies set up all over his country making him and his cronies serious loot while the masses are forced to suffer through pappi-state socialism.
this corrupt administration is obiously trying to set up a "crisis" they can take advantage of, and pressure some of us to retaliate….this way they have the excuse to establish martial law, and postpone elections in November they know they would lose….punch the ballot, not the gun this time around….too much at stake….bide your time….utilize our constitutional rights as long as we can…
Well for me …no more giving to the United way.
Just goes to show you the total sham of these "organizing" movements and the real motives behind the Progessive Foundations who are just laundering money stolen from union members and the taxpayers and being used to elect officials and enact poilicy to further indenture people to a tyrannical government.

What do you call a train full of SEIU supporters hitting a train with NAACP supporters with no survivors ………
……

a good start
These protesters are all on some kind of union payroll as activists, they are not real people. The real crime is that this is not prosecuted as a criminal act. The liberals are in charge, (palm grease, look other way.).
During the Clinton Administration, a lot of pressure was put on banks to prove they were not racist. The Clinton AG office would look at lending by zip code / neighborhood not as individual situations where you declined a housing loan because of credit worthiness, but as an aggregate. If the black neighborhood was getting less loans, you were subject to $500K fines. Since, blacks tend to have worse credit ratings relative to whites, most banks were SOL. This led a lot of big lenders to setup efforts to increase lending to "the black community", which meant funding these community organizations. The bank could then say, "my loans aren't up to spec, but look at the effort I'm making!" The Community Orgs, then donated to DNC candidates. The same thing went on with Fannie & Freddie.
Basically a protection racket courtesy of the DNC.

[...] Or how about the recent attack by the Purple Shirts of the SEIU, who terrorized a Maryland banker. D.C. Police reportedly escorted over 500 of Obama’s union thug army to the man’s home, where they proceeded to stand on his lawn and raise holy hell. What makes this atrocity even worse, is while the banker wasn’t home, his young son was, and was understandably in fear for his life. You can read more here, here, and here. [...]
