Kyle-Anne Shiver

Until 9/11, Kyle-Anne Shiver was a political fence-sitter. The extent of her patriotism was her one vote in every election. She traveled the political journey, familiar to so many, from raging liberal in youth, to staunch conservative by the time she was 30, but never did much about it. She was a Boomer radical in youth turned traditional suburban homemaker thereafter.

Kyle-Anne married her college sweetheart and spent her pre-9/11 adult life as a full-time wife and Mom, working only part-time as an artist and a casual writer of fiction. She fought the culture war from her kitchen table, was involved in the PTA and did various charity work through her parish church. But when it came to politics and world affairs, she never really saw how much her own life was affected by what went on outside her sheltered community.

All that changed on the fateful morning of September 11, 2001.

Two days after the attacks, Kyle-Anne hit the libraries and the bookstores with a vengeance, beginning a five-year self-education on just how in Hades America had gotten herself into such a state. She read the Koran and related Islamic texts, as well as scores of books on history and politics. She boned up on the internet and became a veritable hound on the trail of political betrayal and malfeasance.

Once she switched the creative-writing training from her college days to political commentary, and began writing for the internet op/ed site, American Thinker, she quickly gained a large readership, who’ve nicknamed her the Sweetheart of S.W.A.T. Her pen carries the honey-laden tones of her Southern heritage, now mixed with the grit and determination of the original American patriots.

How far will Democrats go to ensure that their revolution against American liberty succeeds?  As for me, I put nothing past them now.

Will Collier has just explained in exacting detail the most probable explanation for how Nancy Pelosi (along with Axelrod and Emanuel) could have staged their “confrontation” with Tea Partiers outside the capitol on March 20.  Claims that the N-word and spit were employed as weapons by Tea Partiers have yet to be corroborated by a single witness or video recording.  This in spite of Andrew Breitbart’s bold offer of a $10,000 reward – since upped to $100,000 – for the production of a single piece of corroborating evidence.

It is extremely doubtful that such evidence will be proffered as it is almost a certainty that none of the alleged events actually occurred.

Having studied the revolutionary manuals of Saul Alinsky as well as his biography for two years now, and having documented much of the Democrats’ – especially Obama’s – use of Alinsky tactics, I see nothing whatsoever amiss in Mr. Collier’s proposition that the Democrats made it all up and that it was fully orchestrated. Fox News reported yesterday that black lawmakers alleged they were the targets of racial slurs, including the N-word, as they walked through Tea Party protesters into the Capitol.  Today, the Washington Post reported the alleged incident, notably deleting the word, “alleged.”

Throughout the day, thousands of angry protesters milled outside the Capitol; some hurled insults at black and gay lawmakers and shouted at Democrats to “kill the bill!”

Rep. Barney Frank also claimed that he was the target of “homophobic” slurs.  Mr. Frank is one of the most openly gay members of Congress, as we all know.

Now compare the statement above, which appeared in today’s Washington Post, with this statement, which appeared in today’s Fox News report on Michael Steele’s condemnation of the slurs: (more…)

Here’s a street poll I would like to see.  In any city, on any given day, simply pose this question: “Are there any black conservatives in America?”

If such a poll were taken, I would bet all I have that the answers would fall into a very limited range between zero and the number of fingers on one hand.

Anyone who has partaken of mainstream media offerings in the past 40 years knows the answer that is expected.  Of course, there cannot be any black conservatives, unless they are brainwashed “Uncle Toms,” “Oreos,” “house-slaves,” or just plain, ordinary, run-of-the-mill idiots.

Even though this theory, on its very face, runs contrary to the proposition of anti-racism – that all human beings are individuals and cannot be rightly judged by the color of their skins or by any other racially defining characteristics – we have been urged by a racist media for decades to accept it.  Pigeonholing all people whose skins happen to be black into a single ideological mindset is every bit as vile and utterly racist as was Jim Crow.  Coincidentally, the very Democrat party that sponsored Jim Crow laws across the South is the same party, which now has successfully proclaimed through its media mouthpieces that people whose skins are black are not, in fact, individuals with the capacity for free thinking, but are still to be judged “politically” by their skin color alone.

Therefore, most Americans have bought the big racist lie that there are no black conservatives in America, save those unfortunate, misguided, stupid few. (more…)

One must at least credit NBC’s Chuck Todd with one virtue.  He is utterly transparent.

When real “journalist” Todd – Chief White House Correspondent for NBC News and the co-hose of The Daily Rundown — gave this impish put down of what he calls, “Drudge-Driven Journalism,” his resentment, fear and school-boy petulance could not have been clearer to any sentient observer.

Such a pity, really.  A grown man reduced to whining in front of the White House makes his viewers so embarrassed for him that it’s painful to watch.  He should have saved all that peevish poppycock for Al Gore, the inventor of the internet.  For, in reality, the saving grace of journalism today – the only thing that gives these leftist buffoons in the MSM even a tiny shred of credibility – is the internet’s check and balance on their politically driven narratives.

Their animus is usually aimed at the Drudge Report because of the number of hits.  It’s Drudge’s numbers that drive the most powerful wedge between these MSM indoctrinated monkeys parading as journalists and their monopoly on the “truth.”  And all it takes is a single flashback to know why all the hacks associated with the once-august MSM fear “Drudge-Driven Journalism” – down to their quaking toes in their manure-muddied Gucci’s.

Flashback:  Dan Rather, 60 Minutes Wednesday, September 8, 2004. (more…)

The New York Times continues its painful-to-watch demise with this published hissy-fit from the ultra-feminine side of the prophet of the-sky-is-really-falling gloom, Al Gore. Have your hankies at the ready, ladies.  Get your Pepto Bismol off the shelf, guys.

This piece of pure, dribbling, drooling emoting is going to either make you collapse in a torrent of tears or retch into the nearest barf bag.  The only human beings on the planet to whom this editorial would appeal are a bunch of 13-year-old girls without a single clue between them.

With hundreds of millions of dollars on the line, Al is going all out to save his “investment” in global warming hysteria.  Here, he comes up with histrionics befitting the amount of personal loss he stands to suffer.

Perhaps never before in American history have two individuals so captured the hearts, minds and imaginations of such a wide proportion of the citizenry as have Sarah Palin and Barack Obama.  Both are charismatic, charming in their own ways, in dramatic, stand-above-the-crowd fashion.  Both have written best-selling autobiographies, which have mesmerized large swaths of the American public.

palin-obama

There, however, the similarities end.

One has been adored by the leftist-activist media brigade, which gleefully tossed away its fabled “objectivity” in order to get the candidate with whom it was both in love and in sync elected.  The other has been veritably loathed by the same Ivy League-centric mandarin class which long ago forsook its working-class roots and is now actively ashamed of them.

One represents academic elitism.  The other comes from a standard state university background.

One uses a teleprompter for nearly every spoken word, often flailing, repeating sentences due to electronic glitches and mispronouncing even those words that seem simple to the average American:

The other uses a few broad-topic scribbles on her hand for prompts. (more…)

Now that the MSM has done its best to ignore the Amy Bishop Obama obsession and is going all out to pin the right-wing-nut-job tail on Joseph Stack, it would seem that leftist-radical myopia is once again controlling the establishment media narrative.

It is, after all, difficult to see clearly when your legs are tingling and your passions are in willing-thrall mode.

obama-girl

So, here’s the pertinent question, the question our drowning Obama groupies in the MSM do not dare to ask:  Is disillusionment with Obama causing people to snap and commit acts of violence?

It’s a good question, born of common sense.

If there was a single characteristic that defined the Obama campaign followers in 2008, it was an adolescent fawning the likes this country has never seen.  There were the creepy fainting women in teenybopper crush mode wherever Obama went.  There were the so-called intelligentsia speaking of a man who, to them, seemed more like a god, a savior, an uber-competent of downright immortal stature, purely obsequious observations based on Obama’s postage-stamp-sized resume, his fondness for arugula and GQ looks. Oh, this is rich.  I’m laughing so hard, it’s difficult to type. Only in California.

For a few years now, I’ve been signed up for Barbara Boxer’s campaign solicitations.  Keep your enemies closer and all that.

So, today Ms. Boxer is just tickled pink all over to announce to her California groupies that the one, the only, the prophet of global warming, the Oscar-winning, Peace-prize-taking guy who got filthy rich hawking gloom-and-doom snake oil to the world is coming to L.A.!!!!  Just for her.  So they can both stand in the same room together begging for more money from the dozen poor schleps who still have a grain of naiveté and a checkbook from Daddy’s trust fund.

In yet another case of willful blindness, our formerly august mainstream media all but ignores Al Gore’s global warming millions.  Their secular saint, Prophet Al, has become a very rich man off his global warming “science.”  Yet, whenever he is interviewed by those virtuous paragons among the media elite, you’ll hear nary a peep on the fact that Prophet Al stands to become the “World’s First Carbon Billionaire,” if and when governments – especially ours – enact the cap and trade legislation, of which Mr. Gore is the most vociferous proponent.

The lying hypocrisy of it is just too much for an honest person to bear.

al-gore-thumbs-up

Mr. Gore has, in effect, declared economic war on the middle-class American family through his global warming faux science.  The Congressional Budget Office has estimated that the cap and trade legislation, which passed the House last year, will cost the average American family $890 per year.  But the conservative Heritage Foundation immediately challenged this figure.  Using a more inclusive analysis, Heritage raised the estimate to at least $1,870 per year.

Heritage also took the trouble – on behalf of American families – to take into account the larger picture, significant details completely ignored in the CBO’s accounting: (more…)

The most infuriating thing about our mainstream media is the utter ignorance of their so-called “journalists.”  When little miss anchorwoman, Katie Couric, interviewed the president last Sunday on his sudden, desperate invitation to Republicans for ideas on healthcare reform, he told her this:

I want to look at the Republican ideas that are out there. And I want to be very specific. ‘How do you guys want to lower costs? How do you guys intend to reform the insurance markets so people with preexisting conditions, for example, can get health care?’

Ms. Couric was so ignorant of the past year-long healthcare debacle that she offered no challenge whatsoever to this latest whopper by President Obama.  If she had known the issues — which is the job for which she is supposedly paid $14 million a year, or $300,000 per week — then she would have immediately challenged the president with the fact that very specific ideas from Republicans have been on the table – in writing – since early last summer.

Over and over again, the president and his “people” go unchallenged on every whopper they tell. Either our MSM is a bunch of ignorant boobs, or they are, once again, indulging their penchant for left-wing ideology.  Whatever the case, their coverage of the president on his healthcare-reform shenanigans has been nothing short of disgraceful.

Doing the job, our MSM refuses to do – for whatever reason — here is the other half of the story on healthcare reform efforts: (more…)

The Huffington Post is reporting that everybody’s favorite, too-classy-for-words feminist attorney, Gloria Allred, has written a protest letter to CBS over their decision to run the Tim Tebow celebrate-life ad during this year’s Superbowl.

Ms. Allred’s complaint?  That the ad (which she has not seen) will imply or state outright “false” and “misleading information.”  You see, Ms. Allred contends that since Mrs. Tebow was living in the Philippines (as a Christian missionary) at the time she became pregnant with Tim, and that since Philippine law prohibits abortion, then she would not have – could not have – been advised by her doctor to have an abortion for health reasons.

gloriaallred

Now, I’m no lawyer but I am a woman.  And every woman knows full well that women were getting counseled to have abortions for health reasons before abortion became legal in the United States.  In fact, doctors were performing D&Cs for women who were pregnant without a single soul outside the operating room being the wiser.  Even before Roe, doctors were advising an expectant mother about health problems and risks to her pre-born child.  It would surely take a fool to believe that doctors in the Philippines are so different. My husband, a former college football player and stalwart fan still, has been telling me tales about Tim Tebow ever since the young man played his debut season at the University of Florida.  Not only was this kid a super-great champion of the gridiron, proclaimed my totally jock husband, he is the kind of young man who stands upon his faith with uncommon strength and pride.

The first time I saw Tim for myself and spotted his now famous use of Bible verses in his under-eye paint, I must admit I was wowed.  Admittedly, I was more impressed by Tim’s willingness to stand proud on his faith than on his prowess with a football, but even I must admit that winning the Heisman Trophy is no small feat.

tim-tebow_w9b8

So, now Tim has played his final season at the University of Florida, having brought his family, his friends and his school much reason for pride.  And he has chosen, along with his mother, to make a profound revelation to the world at large regarding his even being alive.  His mother, advised to abort for health reasons, chose instead to bring Tim’s life to fruition.  And what a life Tim has had so far. James O’Keefe still gets my vote for investigative journalist of the year.  Teaming with Hannah Giles to expose illegal and immoral tactics deep in the ACORN shakedown operation was brilliant.  Now, O’Keefe has one-upped himself with his exposure of an MSM drowning in its own leftist ideology.

American journalists once cheered for those among their own who were brave enough to risk jail in the quest of exposing corruption and malfeasance.  Yet when O’Keefe and his band of whippersnapper journalists went undercover, disguised as telephone repairmen in the hopes of exposing Senator Landrieu’s denying her own constituents phone access to her, the MSM fell all over themselves denouncing the young men.

Rush to judgment?  No.  It was a stampede.

stampedepecos

From MSNBC, CBS, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, Talking Points Memo and others came shrill, utterly false headlines about “attempted bugging” and the “new Watergate,” which are now being corrected or retracted with but a faint whisper.  MSM “journalists” in high-and-mighty places haven’t had this much egg on their faces since their coffee-klatch therapy sessions over the misunderstood, “non-jihadist” Ft. Hood terror attack.

Bravo Mr. O’Keefe, honey! (more…)

This time last year, two proud and powerful citizens of the world stood at the pinnacle of victory.  Barack Obama was being inaugurated as President of the United States.  Both on the campaign trail and in his inaugural address, Obama proclaimed the start of his “remaking America” revolution.

George Soros had finally managed to back, promote and land a winner.  Their joint venture – Obama’s 2004 bid for the U.S. Senate —  had paid off in the ultimate jackpot:  the presidency.

Soros, the instigator and funder of various “velvet revolutions” in smaller countries, seemed convinced that all he needed to bring the U.S. into submission to a global government, stripped of her sovereignty, was a “citizen of the world” president to replace the all-American president, George W. Bush.  Soros has openly referred to the “bubble of American supremacy” and has berated our lone-superpower position as bringing much more harm than good to the “global family.”

Soros explained his early support of Obama, telling Judy Woodruff in May 2008, “…Obama has the charisma and the vision to radically reorient America in the world.”  When Woodruff queried Soros on whether it might be a concern that Obama lacked experience to lead in this dangerous time we live in, Soros responded, “…this emphasis on experience is way overdone…” (more…)
