Ah, the lefties think they smell blood in the water and the long knives have come out. Not only are they attacking Andrew Breitbart, they’re going after past stories on the BIG sites, most notably my piece on the capture of Mullah Omar by the Pakistanis that I posted back in May.
According to blog sites Instaputz and Bartholomew’s Notes on Religion, because NATO claims to have intercepted a letter from Omar, it proves Omar is still on the loose!
Really? That settles it right there?

Let’s set aside for a moment that even Newsweek has reported that the Taliban are in “turmoil” because Mullah Omar has disappeared, and focus on what the Times of India has to say about this recently intercepted letter:
The letter, if genuine, appears to be a departure from an earlier directive that urged [the] Taliban not to harm captives.
“Whenever any official, soldier, contractor or worker of the slave government is captured, these prisoners cannot be attacked or harmed,” said the August 2009 code of conduct, attributed to Omar.
So, based on Bartholomew and Media Matters, who both picked up the meme from something called Instaputz, we’re to believe that Omar is not only free, but that he has done a complete 180 from eleven months ago and now doesn’t care how many Afghans get splashed? In fact, he’s actively encouraging the Taliban to toss out last summer’s “Code of Conduct” and slaughter them? I guess with Instaputz, Bartholomew, and Media Matters on the scene, the rest of the milblogging community can finally hang up their cleats. The cavalry has arrived!
What’s truly laughable isn’t that these bloggers (with no apparent military, intelligence, COIN, PsyOps or I.O. knowledge) are suddenly blogging about these issues, but that the left is so desperate to smear Breitbart that they’ll now cite the same brave military they so despise and distrust as proof that they’re right.

I have said it before and I will say it here again. Mullah Omar is in Pakistani custody. You can take it to the bank. Don’t believe me? See the growing list below (which none of the three bloggers above fully cited). Lefty journalism is only fun after all when you can selectively attack sources. Behold the utter nihilism of the left – available at a progressive website near you.

Funny how the old time media is once again in denial of the facts, as it doesn't come from their ilk.
These guys should be in the olympics. They handle the long jump with ease. Maybe its rhetorical steroids.
The libtard media continues to yell "fire" in an empty theater.
"Behold the utter nihilism of the left – available at a progressive website near you."
Amen.
KABOOMB!!!
A little "Shock and Awe" for the lefty hacks!
Don't Mess with Thor.
I still believe that his capture will be the admins "October Surprise". As a side note regarding the first picture that accompanies the article, when did Maddow grow a beard?
I'll keep an eye out for Obama's reaction.
After the recent events, people will be made more aware that the Left Media and all those Journolops are scrambling over each other to dismiss anything that Andrew and contributors post for lack of their own credibility.
I for one feel that Andrew Breitbart DOES NOT owe anyone an apology for ANYTHING he says or writes. Those hacks on the left lie about everything and cannot tolerate one iota of descrepancey on any conservative blog. It's a oneway street. So they better get over it, including the story above.
I thought everyone knew that one eyed Omar was in Pakistan ISI supervised custody once he arrived in Quetta in Balochistan province Pakistan in 2001. The only real news was that he moved to Karachi in 2009 under ISI supervision.
Time to demand a Pakistani flag in the background, a top INS official with a dull knife, doing that which was done to a patriot and son, Danny Pearle.
Pipe dream I know. Too much time in the Afgan poppy frields…
Don't waste your time. He doesn't care. I suspect you knew that……
Don't keep it out to long you'll end up drying it out and OboMao care doesn't cover that
LOL Brad, You just had to go and get them really pissed, didn't you?
Have we heard a single peep from the LSM on this? Since I don't partake of their offerings, I'm not sure.
I was waiting and waiting for the oRegime to respond after the capture was confirmed here on BG, by several additional sources. I thought surely the oRegime would eventually find a way to confirm, probably in an indirect
way. Is this it? Have they colluded with the LSM to dis-prove what is common knowledge in order to save their
WAA-LAA moment? If this is as it seems, journalistic ethics are nonexistent, this is flat out propaganda. WoW
IMO this PROVES the oRegime was LIVID when Brad's piece on appeared here on BG. LOL, good on you Brad
and Andrew, this is getting pretty hi-stakes. You know it's already common knowledge these guys can hold a
grudge, even be quite vindictive. All I can say is good luck, ya'll are over 21, guess you know what you're doing.
I'll be waiting with baited breath for the next episode.
It's time to turn the middle east, oil and all, to glass.
Hey Brad. I caught you on Doyle's program with Dwight Schultz. Just listening to you guys really got me energized. (As if a fire brand like me needs anymore motivation) And thanks to Jerry for the platform for us to hear from guys like you and Schultz.
The cavalry has arrived. Media Matters et al are in our sight. I thank God every single hour that people like you are leading the charge.
And yet you barely hear anything about this on the news, regardless of which side of the issue you're on. If the Pakistanis DO have him in custody, I can only imagine the type of "interrogation" he's going through. But something bothers me here. If the Pakistanis are NOT ruining this guy's day, what ARE they doing with him? I wonder if he's being held to trade for something else that the Pakistanis may know is coming down the road? The ISI in Pakistan are no fools when it comes to dealing with the Taliban. They obviously know what this guy is worth to both the Taliban and al Qaeda. Are they holding him as an insurance policy against a major coming attack from the Taliban? What do the Pakistanis know about this that we don't? Too many questions and this story is far from over.
Mullah Omar is in Pakastani custody and Generallisimo Franco is still dead. Well, at least Chevy Chase says so and he wouldn't lie; would he?
So if I find a letter written by dead great grandfather, does that mean he is actually still alive? hurah!
