Helen Thomas was born in the summer of 1920, graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1942 and joined UPI in 1943. She must certainly have had great awareness of the events in Europe occurring in her late teens and early 20's, most notably the rise of Nazism and the Holocaust. She can hardly proclaim ignorance.

Ms. Thomas has done us a service by letting slip an ugly, horrible truth: anti-semitism is alive and well in places of power. I expect no real response from the White House — after all, Pres. Obama sat through 20 years of far worse anti-semitic ranting from his pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright (see, for example, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnI431s1r6s)” target=”_blank”>www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnI431s1r6s) One assumes that had he not agreed with Rev. Wright, he would have found another place to worship.

I suppose that Helen Thomas would also suggest that all English-speaking residents of Arizona, California, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, Colorado, and Nevada also "go home" to some other place so that the "occupied" parts of the Southwestern United States can be given back to Mexico. That's about 1/4 of the United States. If she was consistent, she would demand this, too. It was only a few decades earlier than the creation of the State of Israel that those states were all part of Mexico, too. Helen Thomas is just an old, bag — or should I say HAG!
This was found recently on the floor of the White House Press Office, in a slightly soiled condition.

The Aztlan and La Raza ("The Race") movements have been demanding just this for forty years.
The Aztlan movement is based on a historical lie every bit as profound as the left's belief that there has ever been an independent "Palestine", and the left's corresponding belief that there was never an independent Jewish state in the space supposedly occupied by the fictional "Palestine". The Aztlan racists believe there was once a proto-Mexican empire in the American Southwest before the Spanish arrived. I wonder if Aztlan would run DNA tests or check geneologies to expel all Hispanics with European blood (most of them) from their independent southwest, or expel Hispanics who have only European ancestry.
Hell, the Black Panthers demanded that the US cede Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi to people of African descent.
All Helen Thomas proves is that just because you have a Degree, it doesn't make you smart.
