The President’s new site aimed at fighting that with which they disagree collects anything negative written of the President — what it terms “smears.”
Obama for America national field director Jeremy Bird said the site offers “new resources to fight back,” including policy issue pages that fact check statements by Obama’s Republican opponents with links to “evidence” to back them up. Its slogan is “Get the facts. Fight the smears.”
According to the site, Obama volunteers can also help campaign headquarters keep track of attacks on the president by submitting “reports” via mailform and tweeting about them using the Twitter hashtag #attackwatch.
The initiative is a throwback to a similar online effort launched by Team Obama during the 2008 campaign, called Fight the Smears.
I can’t wait to see AttackWatch dispel the unfounded attacks that is the White House’s involvement with the uber failed Solyndra, Fast and Furious, and Gibson raid.

Attack Watch is going to be a great resource for conservatives. I'm dead serious. The best way to win an argument with a poorly informed (i.e. liberal) opponent is to know their talking points ahead of time, and have your counters in place.
In fact, a clever conservative outfit might come up with Attack Counter, to provide strong counter arguments to the White House propaganda. Maybe even hold a forum for commenters to devour each idea, dissolve it, and structure a defense out of its base components. When the propaganda comes forward, it can be caught head on with the harsh, unforgiving teeth of the truth.
A grass roots response effort to stop the centralized spin machine…. I like it. What do you think?

There's nothing sadder than politicians who obsess over their media coverage. Even the best politicans (and Obama is far from the best, having managed the remarkable feat of energizing his opposition and demoralizing his base) will have a big chunk of people out there who hate them with a passion just because there are several different political philosophies out there.
