Anders Behring Breivik’s manifesto, penned before his horrific mass murder in Oslo, contains 1,500 full pages of text, yet the New York Times has not asked readers to pore over it and help them find information relevant to their coverage of his terrorist attack. The Huffington Post has not posted a blog advertising “LIVE UPDATES” from those studying the writings’ minutiae. Neither has the Guardian, MSNBC, ABC News, Yahoo! News, nor has the Washington Times created a Twitter account to tweet live micro-updates of research on this document. What documents did prompt this fanatic scrutiny? If you guessed the emails of a private citizen during her tenure as Governor of Alaska, you’d be right.
Why the discrepancy? Two words: the narrative. Our J-school geniuses, the only people academically certified to act as gatekeepers for the widespread dissemination of information, needed more information to rebuild their narrative of Palin but don’t need more information to support their narrative of Breivik. None of the ethics lawsuits about Palin stuck while she was governor, so they needed to find something– anything– that proved Palin was as corrupt as they believed her to be (belief still maintained without a shred of evidence). And now, the narrative is Breivik = Tea Party/Bloggers/Conservatives/Christians, so his targets (Labour Party children), anti-Islamic and anti-Marxist statements, plus his Facebook profile stating he was a “Conservative Christian” is all the information they need.
But the champions of the “No Labels” movement are content to leave “Conservative Christian” completely unexamined. Where’s the nuance from the MSM? David Frum calls himself a “conservative,” and so do I, yet our positions on myriad issues couldn’t be more different. Nancy Pelosi calls herself a Christian, and so do I, yet our positions on even more issues couldn’t be more different. Where is their curiosity to find out what Anders Behring Breivik meant when he called himself a “Conservative Christian?” Are their content to merely stereotype his actual political and economic views with two undefined words? I’m sorry; that was rhetorical. Of course they are. It serves their agenda to smear people who had nothing to do with this travesty, and besides, it’s just so hard to read all those words!
But Breivik’s actual words completely contradict the “Conservative Christian” caricature. Below, you can see how, to save the environment, he wants the world to rid itself of oil consumption. You can see how he wants a one-child policy, government control of private industries, the breakup of Rupert Murdoch’s media empire, the military support of Russia to prevent a possible U.S. invasion of Europe, and the removal of all U.S. military bases from European soil. Yes, the tea party platform through and through, folks!
First of all, many thanks to the anonymous blogger Sooper Mexican, who has unearthed this information from the giant screed and organized it in an easily understandable, concise manner. For those who would quibble that this is an untrustworthy source, his post consists of direct quotes from the manifesto with commentary– I repeat, direct quotes. I repeat them here with the blogger’s emphases.
On the environment and energy
Getting around is necessary, oil is not. Considerable efforts should be made to further develop high-power Lithium-Ion batteries. The goal should be to aim for oil independence. This will not only save the environment; it will completely devastate many Muslim countries economically which will weaken the ongoing Islamic imperialism. (p. 1199)
All 2nd and 3rd world countries (where the average birth rate is above 2,1 [sic]) are to implement 1 child policies until their country is stabilised in regards to financial outlooks and overconsumption, saving their forests etc. This will both solve their poverty problem and result in drastic cuts in global pollution due to the fact that the population (consumer) explosion will be reversed. You cannot have any hope of reducing global pollution unless you focus on reducing the current population explosion in 2nd and 3rd world countries. Any country that does not comply will not receive any incentives (aid, development funding/loans, and trade import/export concessions). This approach can also be used for giving these countries incentives to stop them from cutting down their forests. (p. 1200)
For the last fifty years, the white race has arrogantly refused to obey these eternal laws and it will pay a heavy price unless it comes to realise the futility of continually fighting against Mother nature. King Canute realised it and other human races continue to realise it but whether or not the crack-brained Liberal-Multicultural disciples have the humility to realise their folly of battling with Mother nature is quite another matter.
But be in no doubt whatsoever that Mother nature will demand they pay the heaviest price for their arrogance and she will not care one iota if the entire white race has to pay too. Mother nature knows not pity as even self-righteous Liberal-Multiculturalists will find to their cost, you can be completely assured of that. (p. 399)
On the media
The situation is similar in Western Europe. In the UK, News International (a company mostly owned by Rupert Murdoch) owns several newspapers (including The Times and The Sun), Sky Television (a major European satellite operator), Star Television (covering Asia) and publishers like Harper Collins.
In 1998, Rupert Murdoch owned 34% of the daily newspapers and 37% of the Sunday newspapers in the UK. Successive UK governments have allowed his empire to grow in return for his media’s support.
53% of UK newspaper and magazine distribution is controlled by just two companies, WH Smith and John Menzies.
Cross-media ownership and the fact that a small number of people own so many of our means of obtaining information is a threat as it institutionalises globalism and multiculturalism. (p. 381)
On Corporations/ The Rich
All globalist companies will be nationalised (a minimum of 50,1% ownership must be redistributed to EF governments hands (combined) at any given time, for their respective countries). Investors with majority control who refuse this re-nationalisation process will have their respective corporation expelled from the European Federation monetary zone (losing trading concessions). Ensuring state control is the only way to avoid that globalist capitalist political lobby groups continue to negatively influence European policies relation to immigration and multiculturalism. (p. 1200)
I never thought I would actually argue against capitalism but the US model is an extreme variant, almost resembling a pure laissez faire model. 83 percent of all U.S. stocks are now in the hands of 1 percent of the people. 66 percent of the income growth between 2001 and 2007 went to the top 1% of all Americans. (p. 1223)
Is capitalism always a force for freedom? It is easy for “conservatives” to think so, but is it always true? (p. 403) [he then goes on to argue it isn't]
On American Foreign Policy
On page 1235, the manifesto lists their school of thought as being “Against excessive US cultural influence” and “Against US military bases/US military personnel on European soil.” … In this same section, the Manifesto supports Russian nationalism, as well as Chinese nationalism.
Reason 1: The reason [underlying America's foreign policy] given by the USA, its media and its friends around the world. Reasons like Communism, Terrorism, Fascism, Human Rights, Freedom, Liberation, Weapons of Mass Destruction, etc.
Reason 2: The actual reason. This is usually hidden from the general public and has to be looked for in quotes by under-reported officials or subsequent events on the ground. Often, the victims of the intervention/change of government know the real reasons better than the populations of the Western countries. Real reasons are many but usually include Business Interests, Access to Resources, Markets, Military Bases, Strategic Value, or Political Support. (p. 1297)
Time will tell what the future brings. But we must be prepared for a potential US intervention and must somehow manage to get Russia to contribute as a guarantor. (p. 2045)
The globalists (lead [sic] by the US) want to preserve Europe as a stable market for their products. It is in their interest to prevent us from becoming truly sovereign. In reality this is called slavery. They want to keep us as slaves. (p. 2045)
On Christianity, true religion, and morality
The Judeo-Christian religions played an important and influential role in building the once mighty West but we also discovered that these religions contained a serious flaw that has sewed the seeds of the suicidal demise of the indigenous peoples of Western Europe and our cultures. This flaw was identified by the brilliant German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche who described it as “an inversion of morality” whereby the weak, the poor, the meek, the oppressed and the wretched are virtuous and blessed by God whereas the strong, the wealthy, the noble and the powerful are the immoral and damned by the vengeful almighty Yahweh for eternity. (p. 391)
Should any person have the temerity to criticise any one of these “victim” groups, they will be viciously smeared and deemed guilty of numerous hate-crimes, the new heresy of the Liberal-Multicultural religion. The plain fact that this situation is destroying the west because it flies in the face of Mother nature – a catastrophic mistake only the native Europeans are committing – matters not a jot to these new pious inquisitors. (p. 391)
I have been storing three bottles of Château Kirwan 1979 (French red wine) which I purchased at an auction 10 years ago with the intention of enjoying them at a very special occasion. Considering the fact that my martyrdom operation draws ever closer I decided to bring one to enjoy with my extended family…
It was an absolutely exquisite experience that will not be forgotten. My thought was to save the last flask for my last martyrdom celebration and enjoy it with the two high class model whores I intend to rent prior to the mission. My interpretation of being a “Perfect Knight” does not and should not include celibacy, although some of my KT peers might disagree with me on this point.
I believe that in order to strengthen the resolve, morale and motivation prior to a martyrdom operation, the Justiciar Knight should be encouraged to embrace and take advantage of a significant reward system designed to increase focus and remove any last doubts. A pragmatic approach, which involves acknowledging the primal aspects of man for the purpose of preparing him for a martyrdom operation, should always take precedence over misguided piety, which only increases the chance of jeopardizing the execution of the operation. And I believe the majority of war strategy analysts will agree with me on this. (p. 1434)
Had Charles Martel not been victorious at Poitiers -already, you see, the world had already fallen into the hands of the Jews, so gutless a thing Christianity! -then we should in all probability have been converted to Mohammedanism, that cult which glorifies the heroism and which opens up the seventh Heaven to the bold warrior alone. Then the Germanic races would have conquered the world. Christianity alone prevented them from doing so. [quoting Hitler's Table Talk, by Adolf Hitler] (p. 231)
Today, [Christendom's] pastors are the most fervent pleaders for the rights of Islam. Muslims in Europe are for them a substitute for the disappearing parish members. Separate Christian institutions, whose reason of existence is being questioned, find a new legitimacy in the fact that Islam in its turn is also opening separate schools, charities and even political parties. Islam has become a sister religion regularly praised as a religion of peace. (p. 48)
In the U.S., Christian fundamentalists and Islamic organisations are increasingly creating common platforms to speak out
against trends of moral decay (abortion, pornography, etc.). Some of these phenomena of traditionalist alliance-building are quite respectable, but they are nevertheless conducive to Islam negationism. (p. 49)I’m not going to pretend I’m a very religious person as that would be a lie. (p. 1344)
Myself and many more like me do not necessarily have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and God. We do however believe in Christianity as a cultural, social, identity and moral platform. This makes us Christian. (p. 1307, 3.139)
If you want to fight for the cross and die under the “cross of the martyrs” it’s required that you are a practising Christian, a Christian agnostic or a Christian atheist (cultural Christian). The cultural factors are more important than your personal relationship with God, Jesus or the holy spirit. Even Odinists can fight with us or by our side as brothers in this fight as long as they accept the founding principles of PCCTS, Knights Templar and agree to fight under the cross of the martyrs. The essence of our struggle is to defeat the cultural Marxist/multiculturalist regimes of Western Europe before the we are completely demographically overwhelmed by Muslims. I have studied Norse Mythology and have a lot of respect for the Odinist traditions. I consider myself to be a Christian, but Odinism is still and will always be an important part of my culture and identity. (p. 1360)
As a cultural Christian, I believe Christendom is essential for cultural reasons. After all, Christianity is the ONLY cultural platform that can unite all Europeans, which will be needed in the coming period during the third expulsion of the Muslims. (p. 361)
The European cultural heritage, our norms (moral codes and social structures included), our traditions and our modern political systems are based on Christianity – Protestantism, Catholicism, Orthodox Christianity and the legacy of the European enlightenment (reason is the primary source and legitimacy for authority).
It is not required that you have a personal relationship with God or Jesus in order to fight for our Christian cultural heritage and the European way. In many ways, our modern societies and European secularism is a result of European Christendom and the enlightenment. It is therefore essential to understand the difference between a “Christian fundamentalist theocracy” (everything we do not want) and a secular European society based on our Christian cultural heritage (what we do want). (p. 361)
The PCCTS, Knights Templar [the name of his anti-Muslim school of thought) is therefore not a religious organisation but rather a Christian “culturalist” military order. (p. 361) [my emphasis]
There we have it. He clearly frames his opposition to “Marxism” in terms of “cultural Marxism”– that is, the equal validity of all ethnic and cultural groups’ values and practices– certainly not economic Marxism, which he eagerly espouses. In the same way, his use of “Christian” is in a purely cultural, not a religious sense. One’s relationship to Jesus, the Christ, is not a factor in his version of Christianity.
And here we are, mindlessly linked to this man’s violence, when A) it’s clear that his actions are the work of an outlier to any mainstream political ideology, thus only bottom-feeding hopeless partisans would dare politicize them, and B) his ideology is nothing close to the conservative, capitalist, Christian beliefs common to the tea party and most right-wing bloggers. Of course, we are dealing with a patently corrupt media, so we must push twice as hard as normal to get this information out and stamp out the MSM’s false narrative about Oslo. Download the PDF of Breivik’s manifesto here, find the quotes yourself (and anything else you can), and spread them through Twitter, Facebook, Google+, flyers on library bulletin boards– whatever it takes to let your community know the truth about this sick politicization of murder.

I have been quite amused by the trolls' use of a new epithet to describe liberty people, a term which appears to have its genesis in this incident.
They are simultaneously trying to connect the Tea Party, conservatives, and the GOP to this murderer, and yet in the same breath, call us "Teahadists."
Seems to me, that claiming we are this butcher's ally, and yet borrowing the name of his stated enemy, and applying it to us, speaks to a rather tenuous grasp on reality.
Excellent article. This should be posted to every news site and forwarded on to get the truth out there.
There you have it. Libs simply can't face reality or accept truth and facts. I just read another article about MSNBC and that Maddow dude being sued for defamation for editing and taking a statement completely out of context on a conservative ministry.
The author points out a lot of "have nots" but he fails to point out that no one from Breitbart's network of websites has dressed up like a pimp and tried to trick the shooter into admitting that he is really a leftist agitator.
Kudos for that.
This is the first I have read anything from the shooter's manifesto. Isn't posting it giving him what he hoped for?
By providing an audience for his ideology, you are fulfilling his dream. A dream that could only be realized by killing so many innocent people.
Nice job.
Grrrrrrreat!!!!!!! Ya this guy was a rightist, in the same way that Lenin was right of Marx. ;0) Just like the Gifford shooter, frame the narrative of a loon that holds supposed right wing (a term I always disparage, because it is based on the French Revolution (Roussaouin democracy or Mobocracy) and is different than the American political culture where the proper term would be constitutionalist) did the deed and allows a moral equability (AKA Christians = Muslim terrorist). LOL…. I hope the MSM does not think everyone is buying there bull excrement
I think exposing his Progressive/Socialist ideology trumps your idea of providing an Ideology. It is called logical examination of facts, not knee jerk acceptance of MSM progressive/socialist propaganda. Peace out…. ;0)
One shooter? nope….would take more just to carry the weapons and ammo…they couldn't catch those kids….I smell al qaeda and our own dept of homeland "security"…get the Tea Party via reverse terrorism…sorosian/communist/jihadji plot…90 minutes for SWAT to arrive….BS!
And by not posting it we would allow the lefties to continue their narrative that somehow this loon is connected to Christianity and conservatism, thereby fulfilling the lefties' dream.
Nice hypocrisy.
Setting aside the fact that 'conservative' and 'liberal' have very different meanings in Europe than they do here in the US, at the end of the day, every person is responsible for their own actions.
It's an interesting blend of some of the beliefs of Al Gore, Barack Obama, the Unabomber and Adolf Hitler.
to our homeland security…"constitutionalist" is a terrorist… http://www.fas.org/irp/eprint/lexicon.pdf
http://www.fas.org/irp/eprint/lexicon.pdf
The author says that "we" are mindlessly linked to this man's violence. But it seems that this link is being exploited to its fullest extent here. After all, what else do you people have to protest about? What else can you find at fault with the MSM over this tragic event.
How many articles in the MSM developed the events in Oslo as the evil doings of a conservative Christian? If you were to get your news solely on this site, you'd think they are all screaming for an inquisition.
Manufactured linkage and nonsensical correlation …. that's all the Progressive advocate's have left.
Can you please direct me to this leftist narrative? I'm not saying it's not out there, I just haven't read it and am curious.
http://www.fas.org/irp/eprint/lexicon.pdf
and no, I disagree with your rational that it's more important to discredit the left than it is to NOT give an assassin exactly what he hoped for. But that is what this website is all about. Your priorities are well known. Your consideration of the consequences obviously lacking.
DISSEMINATED, BERWICK/BREIVIK'S ALLEGED MANIFESTO; EDUCATED INDIVIDUALS ARE ABLE TO REALIZE THE ABSOLUTE LIE(s) BEING PRESENTED BY THE AGENDA-DRIVEN LEFTIST MEDIA.
So, I'm "exploiting" someone defaming my colleagues (directly) and me (indirectly) by defending my colleagues and me?
Try again.
+1 for not only the post, but for the Black Adam avatar

Nazis….our own govt….probably Norway's Govt…one man could not have carried all the weapons and ammo and then run after and catch all those adrenalin pushed runners….the story is a lie….90 minutes before SWAT arrives???…how convenient for al qaeda and soros, communism and Jihad….how bloody conveniet…our govt will drill us just as deadly – as they do now…it's war.
yeah, in a way you are. You are so intent on fabricating an attack on conservatives that you will defend the posting of the shooter's manifesto. This gives him exactly the platform he was hoping for.But prevention of a similar attack by another crazed gunman is less important than discrediting a perceived misrepresentation of the gunman. At least that is what appears to be happening here.
And I'm still waiting for examples of the barrage of news articles that describe the shooter as a "Christian Conservative."
The assassin has been charged and is custody. The leftist media is still at large.
Well, I did my own research and determined that the reason the media may have initially described the shooter as a "Conservative Christian" is because the Norwegian police described him that way based on his affiliation with anti-immigration groups.
If the media initially reported him to be a Christian conservatism, I think that is understandable based on the police description. I'd like examples of the MSM that are still insisting that the shooter is a christian conservative. If you can't, I will have to assume that this thread is just an exploitation of a fabricated injustice to Conservative Christians everywhere.
Yup…The only people who hear the spew of the liberals, the democrats, those who want to force their opinions and beliefs on others and say hey that also is I- are criminally insane evil freaks.
Well, the NY Slimes was quite eager to plaster national security secrets all over its corrupt front pages; yet now they are strangely silent on this killer's ALREADY PUBLIC manifesto.
Gee, wonder why?
Actually, we don't wonder why.
So, rosehips, you think it is okay to misrepresent this gunman?
Exactly! except substitute "Conservative" for "Progressive" and that's all you have left. Thus this thread.
The shooter is not the one who needs to be tricked into telling the truth.
The corrupt leftwing media needs to be tricked into telling the truth. Because the propaganda wing of the un-American radical left will never do so voluntarily.
one of the ploys of the criminally insane lefty- make accusations, then when corrected, play dumb.
No flappdoodle, but I'm not seeing who actually misrepresented him, except initially the police. Did the MSM say he was a conservative christian, or did they report that the police described him this way? I'd like to know this.
you mean, to the criminally insane traitor pigs who infect our government….
SHAZAM!
Still waiting to find out who besides the police accused him of being a conservative christian.
and that spells SOROS loud and clear to me!
didn't the article say they are strangely silent compared to how they treated sarah? BECAUSE they cannot blame it on us…
So they are being maligned for remaining silent?
A whole lot of commenters when it first happened…and then the US media fell silent on the subject when it became obvious he was one of them.
LOL, I did not say it was more important to discredit the left. I said, in essence, it is more important to get the TRUTH out, as opposed to falsehoods constructed by the progressive/socialist (as you define the left) My priorities, which you obviously think is collectivist, is not duped by your logic, but rather, are opinions that I have developed through life-experience and scholarly study ( I have a Masters in History from KSU…. WIldCats!!!!). So your condescension does not phase me in the least). If we use your deductive logic, the consideration of consequences to the totality of the outcome is still unknown, but will, in fact, be unfolding. …..LOL …. I am sorry, but your priorities (AKA Professional Troll on Constitutionlist Websites) are well known. ;0) gOOD dAY !!!
That's not even the "best" part of it. Initially, before anything was known, the attacker was described (assumed?) to be an Islamic extremist, a narrative EVERYBODY was all to eager to support. When it began to appear otherwise (after Breivik's identity was discovered), the identification of him as a "white Christian conservative" by Norwegian authorities was primarily to refute this previous assertion. Of course, the American right-wing quickly jumped to the defensive in separating themselves from this nutjob. Fair enough – the gulf between American and European right-wing organizations is large, obviously, as they are primarily focused on different issues and have substantially different core philosophies.
Now, we see that restraint towards rushed judgment and political labelling quickly being thrown out the window of course, as soon as the smallest straw can be grasped at linking him to something they identify as Leftist. Of course, this is pure hypocrisy – essentially arguing that since his views don't align 100% with American conservatism OR 0% with strawman liberalism, he is a leftist.
rosehips = (_!_)
How many have been killed, tortured and enslaved in the name of the left's religion — communism?
Last time I checked, it was in the tens of millions.
When they repeat over and over that the police describe him this way and then DON'T LOOK INTO what he really is, it is an attack on conservative Christians. If you let the lie stand long enough it becomes the truth to some people.
lol, oh that's rich. So it's well known that I am a professional troll? It would be wrong of me to take money for something I enjoy so much. :0Sorry if I sound condescending. Guilty as charged!

The un-American, Propaganda of Record — the NY Slimes.
Killings in Norway Spotlight Anti-Muslim Thought in U.S.
The man accused of the killing spree in Norway was deeply influenced by a small group of American bloggers and writers who have warned for years about the threat from Islam, lacing his 1,500-page manifesto with quotations from them, as well as copying multiple passages from the tract of the Unabomber.
In the document he posted online, Anders Behring Breivik, who is accused of bombing government buildings and killing scores of young people at a Labor Party camp, showed that he had closely followed the acrimonious American debate over Islam.
And the scurrilous smears get worse from there, and he does try to link the killings to the right and, yes, to Christianity.
OK, you can stop waiting now.
I watched this unfold on CNN. At one point, a Muslim extremist group took responsibility for the bombing. They discussed this at length saying, and rightly so, that all Muslims aren't like that. They have a lot of time to do a lot of talking.
When they revealed that the police said that the shooter claimed to be a conservative Christian, did they use all that air time and talent to look into what he really was or did they just repeat that over and over? Did they once say "of course all conservative Christians aren't like that?" If they did, I didn't hear it.
"This flaw was identified by the brilliant German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche who described it as 'an inversion of morality' …"
OK, so it looks like Breivik, Loughner, Hitler and Obama are all NIHILISTS (like so many statists) and their gospel are the tenets of the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche.
That pretty much explains it all.
Well, I think I did see some analysis of that on cnn.com, but I didn't read it. I actually haven't been interested in the shooter's politics until now. I certainly was not looking to link him to any group.I admit I like to see how things spin. It appears that the linkage is more a fabrication than a reality. When the author of this post couldn't find anything of substance to criticize he resorted to criticizing the silence in the wake of the revelation that the shooter was an environmentalist.Should it be the moral obligation to point out that this evil man believed not only that reliance on oil supports Islamic nations but it's bad for the environment. Oh the scandal! How can a Christian conservative be linked to environmentalism??? Let's see. How bout that the Bible says we should be stewards of the Earth and conservation is an essential element of the environmental movement? What I like about some of the Tea Party members is that they get it when it comes to the environment and our dependence on foreign oil. But so many conservatives are still mired in the mud of their anti-environmental disdain for those of us who believe that conserving energy and reducing pollution is actually a good thing for America.damn, I should write my own manifesto. Maybe the moneybags who are paying me can cough up some dough. :0
And why is it wrong to report his association with the said entities, if indeed its true? Should the media ignore the associations? Would there not be a blogpost or two about any associations he had on the left if he had any?And if he is such a leftist progressive as another commenter suggested, should I assume that he does have leftist associations but people on the right are practicing decorum and self-restraint by not publicizing them?lol
There's a 12 minute video version of his manifesto that was sent to his friends on Facebook and also to the friends of his friends.

For those of you without the time to read through a 1500 page rant, you might find this interesting. I suspect that many of you will agree with him on most of what he talks about.
So here is the thing, Rose. There is an old story about a man who was accused of a rape he did not commit. When it became obvious that the truth would never come out he then raped his accuser. When asked why he stated, "If I am going to have the name I am going to have the game."
For the left to continually accuse decent peaceful people of being violent in their nature, it is easy to see how some will become unhinged a comment the atrocities they are being accused of. Although their actions can never be justified it remains a fact that when the left accuses people of false crimes some of them will commit them. I ask, who is at fault?
I would say that is an unspoken assumption. I would guess that almost everyone in the U.S. knows a Christian conservative. While they may not agree with their views, it’s apparent that they aren’t all about to take arms and massacre innocents.
lol, don't hold in your methane deus,
just let it all out!
yeah, I get all prostrate in front of a photo of Mao 3 times a day.
Thanks for putting all of this into words!
"Crazy" is not an ideology. "Crazy" is not a religion.
Above all, "Crazy" is NOT a valid excuse to smear everybody that the crazy person mentioned in a rambling and self-contradictory online manifesto!

I'll be waiting for you to post 8 bajillion comments at Crooks & Liars and Slate excoriating them for posting the manifesto.
All? Some of them are?
I seem to recall them doing this earlier this year in the shooting of a certain Congresswoman and just as it ended up being the exact opposite then it's again the exact opposite of the line the try to tow. At least it seems more American's are waking up to this little game of theirs and are realizing that media bias isn't just something made up by Fox News to drive ratings.
I don’t know? It’s certainly a very small minority, and the debate can rage over whether a true “conservative Christian” (or a true liberal, for that matter) would do it, but I would assume that psychopathy (the real culprit behind such acts) doesn’t discriminate based on political/religious persuasion
Waste not want not. Conservation is conservative. Environmentalism reads to me more like its own religion.
You get paid to do this?
{MSM Ignores How Oslo Shooter’s Own Manifesto Completely Destroys “Christian Conservative” Label}
HEY!—IT DOESN'T FIT THEIR NARRATIVE!
No conservative Christian could, by definition, do what this person did. What one calls oneself and what one is are two different things. What the media calls a person can smear large groups indiscriminately.
Environmentalism is my religion and no I don't get paid but I was told that it's well known that I do. I could only wish.
Rose, there is plenty of data to point out that at the current time there is no practical way to stop using oil. All conservatives I know agree that getting off fossil fuels would be a good idea. Being the practical people they are they are looking for ways. Currently there are none. Wind and solar neither can provide the level of energy return on the production effort that fossil fuels do. Generally fossil fuels provide 15 times the energy it takes to produce them, wind and solar 2-3 times the energy in the best case and the equipment used to produce energy from those sources wear out. As a home owner I have looked into this many times and the best case is you can break even in about 20-25 years. In the mean time I would have a mechanical maintenance issue and at the end of the 20-25 years the equipment would be worn out. The net result is I would be worse off than if I had not used alternate energy sources. For most of recorded history the earth population was between 1 and 2 billion people. With the discovery of oil the population began to rise, to the current level of approximately 7 Billion, as a direct result of the effect oil had i.e. the ability to transport food and goods over vast distances efficiently and the ability to advance agriculture to produce more and better food. If we quit using fossil fuel before there is an adequate replacement we would be sentencing 5 billion people to death by starvation, the largest portion of these deaths would be in the poorer regions of the earth.
Do you believe in separation of church and state?
Finally. A Progressive/Socialist admitting their guilt. About time.n :0)
I also noticed that no one from NBC strapped the explosives on the bumper of a car to show how a safe car explodes when bumped from behind, nor did anyone from CNN run out and hire a whore monger and give them a prime time slot. What's your point?
So I take it that all news articles must be approved by the All Knowing – All Powerful rosehips and to hell with freedom of the press and freedom of speech? which room is your framed, autographed photo of Stalin hanging?
whizbang, I realize we can't stop using oil cold turkey. I advocate for 50% reduction through drastic conservation methods. I personally cut my consumption by more than 50% since the Fall of 08. It takes resolve and acceptance of change to do. I don't think most Americans are capable. I am a big advocate of solar roadways. A guy in Idaho has developed a solar system that could be utilized on all our roadways with the grid buried along our roadsides. I think its viable. The guy just got a grant to develop it on a small scale. I hope it proves successful.I am adamently opposed to the Keystone XL pipeline from the tars sands of Canada. This is the worst method of oil extraction and we should not support it. I'd rather buy from the middle east than to support the destruction of the boreal forests and to risk the damage that leaks of the pipeline could cause.
Well then, your argument is that psychopathy negates ideology. Hypothetical instance here: a self-proclaimed Christian with a decidedly fringe view of matters believes himself to be a divine agent responsible for purging the world of sinners (something a la Travis Bickle or Boondock Saints) – knowing these acts are wrong, but believing that forgiveness for all sin is possible through acceptance of Christ, which he seeks after his actions. Is this man a Christian, or not? If not, why are his sins beyond redemption?
just making an observation….
and letting your comments prove it….
It'll be a while, before we actually hear the full story…..
Things are seldom as they first appear….
yes "we" are. Since the left insists on mindlessly linking every evil on the face of the earth with conservatives, namely the Tea Party, and are running a 0% accuracy rate, and you Mindlessly tried to link highly successful sting operation on Acorn and Planned Parenthood to this, I'd say mindless is a pretty damn good description. Maybe the left should change their motto/title from Progressive to Non Impediti Ratione Congitationis (unencumbered by the thought process)
If you are asking if I think we should defund the EPA, no. Unless we can substitute something better to protect the environment and our health. I know the EPA is flawed. I work closely with them. Like almost any agency in the government, it's filled with people whose main objective is getting a paycheck and deflecting any obstacles that make their jobs more difficult. We can do much better than that but we should never stop demanding protection for our health, wildlife, environment. Ultimately, this is more important than our status, position in the world or our prosperity. We should not sacrifice these things in pursuit of more wealth or to provide jobs. We should create jobs without compromising the environment.
And why is it wrong to report his association with the said entities, if indeed its true?
Because there WAS no "association." None to US bloggers or to the conservative movement or to Christians in this country. That's just a typical scurrilous smear that has no basis in fact. It's just another in a long line of examples of the left's knee jerk response to try to silence opposition.
No, there were no such associations. Flat out lie.
And while the corrupt leftwing media contorts itself into pretzels to try to concoct a connection between conservatives and/or Christians in this country to terrorism, they flat out ignored Barack Obama's ties to terrorists in this country.
Because they're not the media — they're the corrupt propaganda wing of the Democrat Party.
Hey, the guy was dressed up as a POLICEMAN. This means he was a POLICEMAN……oh wait
Well, you may not, but Anita Dunn certainly did.
This nut has elevated cognitive dissonance to a high state. Multitudes of contradictory thoughts being held simultaneously, a trait usually found in progressives.
Insane is the appropriate label for this crackpot.
All the people that look similar to that guy should be profiled and set aside for special consideration in high security situations, e.g., the airport, sporting events, tourist destinations.
The Oslo killer was also apparently influenced by the Unabomber, who is essentially Al Gore with a beard and much smaller carbon footprint.
Should we blame environmentalists for the Oslo Killer's and Kaczynski's killing sprees too?
I won't do it — but don't doubt for a moment that your twisted ilk surely would.
Herman Cain: "I would not be comfortable with a Norweigian in my cabinet."
So just to be clear, am I a progressive liberal marxist? Am I associated with Anita Dunn?I just want to get it straight in my mind who I am supposed to be.
If you are reducing your current oil consumption, good on you. Feel free to urge others to do the same. But don't use government power to FORCE others to do the same.
Nonsense. You are being deliberately disingenuous in order to draw a false parallel.
This guy is your typical right wing white Christian male – the US is full of guys like this – own it.
@EricArthurBlair
Proverbs 23:9
You're a "concern troll." Making a big deal out of posing as concerned and thoughtful, while still pushing a Left-prog viewpoint.
Actually, you sound more ignorant or dishonest than condescending. The media and other left-wing types have been trying to link this Norwegian lunatic to Christianity and conservatism from the moment the story broke. But rather than go on some lefty blog or MSM website to criticize these bogus attempts to smear innocent people, you come here (and probably other conservative sites) and criticize this article's author for his efforts to disprove the false narrative that your side has manufactured and pushed. It is your beloved left-wing media who has "provided an audience" for the killer's ideology and forced people such as this article's author to confront and counter their lies. Your criticism is completely misguided and misdirected. Ignorant and dishonest — guilty as charged.
So just to be clear, am I a progressive liberal marxist?
Putting aside the multiple redundancies, I have no idea what you believe. Nor do I much care.
I doubt you're associated with Anita Dunn, but the president of the US hired her — a self-described admirer of Mao, one of history's worst mass murderers — to his administration.
I don't know who are what you are. But I know who and what Barack Obama is. Even if the corrupt leftwing media pretends not to.
I applaud your efforts to lower your lifestyle to save the planet and I fear that you will not find an adequate number of others willing to do so. Also if we reduce usage by 50% we would likely be condiment 2.5 billion people. I know that environmentalism has become the popular religion of the left and has it's high priest and gurus. Consider the following:
House #1 A 20 room mansion (not including 8 bathrooms) heated by natural gas. Add on a pool (and a pool house) and a separate guest house, all heated by gas. In one month this residence consumes more energy than the average American household does in a year. The average bill for electricity and natural gas runs over $2400. In natural gas alone, this property consumes more than 20 times the national average for an American home. This house is not situated in a Northern or Midwestern "snow belt" area. It's in the South.
House #2 Designed by an architecture professor at a leading national university. This house incorporates every "green" feature current home construction can provide. The house is 4,000 square feet (4 bedrooms) and is nestled on a high prairie in the American southwest. A central closet in the house holds ; geothermal heat-pumps drawing ground water through pipes sunk 300 feet into the ground. The water (usually 67 degrees F.) heats the house in the winter and cools it in the summer! The system uses no fossil fuels such as oil or natural gas and it consumes one-quarter electricity required for a conventional heating/cooling system. Rainwater from the roof is collected and funneled into a 25,000 gallon underground cistern. Wastewater from showers, sinks and toilets goes into underground purifying tanks and then into the cistern. The collected water then irrigates the land surrounding the house. Surrounding flowers and shrubs native to the area enable the property to blend into the surrounding rural landscape.
HOUSE #1 is outside of Nashville , Tennessee ; it is the abode of the "environmentalist" Al Gore;
HOUSE #2 is on a ranch near Crawford, Texas ; it is the residence the former President of the United States , George W. Bush.
An "inconvenient truth".
*lol* You really are clueless, aren't you?
And a perfect response to the concern-troll RoseHips up the thread. "Show me how anyone's trying to use this to smear conservatives!" Well, here's Canuck_Grit doing just that.
Just curious, did any Republican presidential candidates launch their political careers in his living room?
So, are you saying the shooter is a leftist?
Well, I'm an advocate for simplicity. I don't praise either Al Gore or GW's homes. I praise the person who lives in a tiny home and treads lightly. My electric bill last month was $42. I am so glad I don't need to live lavishly to be content.
Interesting how Christians are attacked by self centered leftist athiests for all the evils in the world when history and statistics show beyond the shadow of a reasonable (or even progressive) doubt that the most evil thing on the face of the earth is State Sponsored Atheism IE communism. Body count of innocent civilians in the past 100 years due to socialist/collectivist 'love' >175,000,000 slaughtered innocents. Which far exceeds anything the so called Christian Conservative movement could possibly tally up.
Notice Anders Behring Breivik’s distain for Rupert Murdoch? Right out of the Media Matters play book. You'd think that the leftist 'brain trust' would take notice, hunker down and STFU like they did after their evil, hateful, nasty, brainless lies and accusations in the Gabby Giffords shooting blew up in their faces and showed them for the foul human debris that they actually are.
Is there a kids summer camp in your neck of the woods that we should be notifying?
Do you have anything relevant to contribute? Where did I say that Christians were responsible for “all the evils in the world”?And why could a communist not make the same claim that Stalin/Mao/et.al. were not “true communists” since the ideology itself doesn’t espouse murdering innocents? Also, I think your numbers are off by a factor of two (based on THE BLACK BOOK OF COMMUNISM, which puts totals c. 94 million)
