If you think Chicago crook and long-time Obama buddy Antoin Rezko is serving out his jail sentence, think again.
Antoin “Tony” Rezko is a forgotten man. During the presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton tried to make Barack Obama’s connection with Rezko an issue.
On June 4, 2008, Rezko was convicted in federal court on 16 charges of corruption. For a day or so, he was big news.
After that, a national media that ignored Obama’s connections with the corrupt Chicago political machine lost all interest in Rezko. After all, there was an “historic” election to influence, and anything that made Obama’s shady past the subject of a national conversation had to be squelched.
Today, those who remember Rezko assume he’s serving out his sentence. Wrong.
“Tony” is one of a dozen high-profile convicted criminals associated with The Machine who await sentencing. He voluntarily entered jail before being sentenced. His sentencing has been postponed several times. So what’s up? Is he afraid to be on the street? If he’s talking, what is he telling U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald from his cell?
When Obama ran for the U.S. Senate, his campaign funding committee consisted of Rezko, Allison Davis, and Valerie Jarrett.
In 1993, Allison Davis hired an attorney fresh out of Harvard for the Chicago law firm he formed to represent land developers. Obama worked there until he was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2004. Meanwhile, Davis became a developer himself.
On May 30, 2009, the Chicago Sun Times reported:
Mayor Daley’s nephew Robert Vanecko and ally Allison S. Davis are at the center of [a federal] grand jury probe on how they snared city employee investments.
When asked recently about the status of the grand jury investigation, a prominent Chicago media source who follows The Machine indicated that “As far as we know, the investigation goes on.”
Valerie Jarrett, now Senior Advisor and Assistant to the President, once worked in the Office of the Mayor of Chicago. Michelle Obama worked for her there.

Before 0bana's election, I recall a number of bloggers reporting on his ties to various components of the corrupt Chicago machine. Some of it seemed pretty damning, but none of it was picked up by the MSM.
Maybe there will be more serious investigations into these matters after the Republicans take back the House.

Rezko can connect the dots? Will Fitzgerald actually do anything?
Hopefully, Patrick has unloosened some of the threads to begin the mushrooming effect in unraveling the truth behind all of these people, bar none. With the Blago trial coming up, the Rezko sentencing on hold, and the forthcoming Senate race, this ought to make for interesting times in Illinois and Chicago, or so it seems from these news stories.
A perfect storm of Scott brown winning, health care "deform" failing, and the Obama's connections with very corrupt players in the Chicago machine could completely crash the current administration in 2010. As scary as aspects of that would be, it would also be… very… um… "interesting."

Years ago we were buying a trucking terminal in Cgo. The zoning map had the property split in half down the center of the building. Someone had made a mistake, the place had been there for 30 years as a trucking terminal. The guy who was trying to sell it to us took us to the village hall and explained to the woman what was up. She said we could bring it up at next months village meeting. The guy threw a stack of C notes on the counter and explained he needed it done now. And she said nothing. They shared a glance. And we walked out. We could not believe what we had just seen. It was done in less than a week. Our terminal mgr. had a "petty cash" account that just disappeared each month. The local police came once a month for that. We did business there for 50 years the in various locations. The stories go on. The point is, It's part of that culture. Barry's culture. Now that slime is oozing out of the windy and covering the country. Unless we stop it.
Chicago has always been corrupt. I once bought an apartment building there. The realtor said that the taxes were high. He had a “friend” down town. Miraculously, my taxed were reduced by 75%! You just need a friend in the machine.

For at least the next three years Obama can pardon Rezko. He hasn't been sentenced yet. Why would he talk and irritate O and the machine in Illinois?
He is safer in jail than outside for now. It would be riskier to kill him inside where you need to involve his guards.
He knows he is headed for a federal prison. And he knows who runs the federal prisons. His death now would be big news. Some convict's death in a year or so will hardly be noted.
I think he will keep his mouth shut if O wants him to.

I've followed the Rezko case from the start! He has told Fitzgerald EVERYTHING! Obama will not finish his term. It's all gonna come down to Blago. Unless these people get pre-sentencing presidential pardons, That's the reason Rahm Emanuel is gone months from now, before Blagos trial. Jarrett is gonna take his place. Let's not forget, especially with the great graphics of Grov Park Plaza (4th photo above from top) which is Valerie Jarrett's property (as CEO of Habitat), that this was also to be the site of the infamous Chicago Olympic Village. Why provide housing as a propery manager when you and your cronies can cash in on the Olympics compliments of the Prez. Maybe ACORN can force Bank of America to issue a loan to turn it into condo's.
Just a minute. I'm all for exposing political corruption, but the picture of the buildings has been floating around for months and there hasn't been any other photos (that I'm aware of) that show other Jarrett buildings. The buildings in the photo posted look as though there was a serious fire that did extensive damage that it may be unrepairable and they are awaiting demolition. The picture is undated with no address or other information other than they are Jarrett's buildings. Also, does/did Jarrett own the buildings or manage them?
It's too easy to act like Democrats and point fingers and lay blame, but I think it's necessary to get more information before assembling a firing squad based on a single picture and no other corroborating evidence. When the evidence comes in…fire away!

The election was tainted with fraud. After Mickey Mouse's vote was included I was certain that he was elected largely by fraud and I am certain that more will be exposed. We know ACON was behind much of the Voter Fraud and I am uncertain how much more was covered up that we will find out about later after Hussein returns to Kenya!

Nice thought, but I still feel my blood pressure peaking when I think of Denny Hastert, as GOP House Speaker, screaming about the search — with duly-signed warrants and carefully-followed legalities — of Jefferson's office (after the search of his house turned up the what?, $90,000, between the frozen broccoli and ice cream bars); and Hastert's successful efforts to prevent any evidence found in that search, from being reviewed or used in the action against Jefferson. Hastert might have had a reasonable point if the feds had marched onto the Congressional floor during session to frog-march Jefferson off to jail, but that's not what happened. Hastert, in effect, maintained that as long as a congressman kept the dirty laundry hidden in a congressional office (that belongs to the People), it's off limits to the same law enforcement agents that could walk into your home or mine with a warrant and party hearty.
The Chicago Olympic Village, of course, would be built from the ground up on taxpayer money, but ownership/management would remain in the hands of Jarrett/Habitat. But at least she/they would no longer be 'slum lords' of that particular property – it would be prime real estate.
Oh, yeah. Rezko purchased property next to property Obama was buying, then "sold" Obama the adjacent chunk at a real nice discount from the amount Rezko had paid just days earlier — in effect, enabling Obama to have mansion ownership at a row-house purchase price. Rezko was also the intermediary between Obama and a Middle East-connected money man (Daniel Pipes had details on this scary liaison during the early days of the 2008 campaign).
Whether Fitzgerald will actually do anything, who knows? There were whispers last year of some Rezko warbling, but nothing concrete.
I think the current tally is 3 Daley-connected deaths by suicide/natural causes in the last couple of years.
That position didn't exist prior to Michelle's appointment to it, either. This was a political plum pure and simple.
Jarret will end up in prison before Daley.

There was/ is a BIG STORY to be told. Unfortunately, the liberal media had only one job, and that was getting Obama elected. There is a big link between Rezko, Obama, and Lexi Giannoulias (who is running for Obama's old Senate seat). All one has to do is Google those three names, and the stories are there. Why, oh why, didn't the media do their jobs? There is so much corruption and everyone looks the other way.

Fitzgerald did everything he could to drag his feet on the Rezko matter and the Blago matter, in order to help "assure" the election of ObaCapone. I don't put much stock in Patrick Fitzgerald. As much as I hated Blaggo's election, the manner in which Fitzgerald pulled that very public display without sufficient evidence to get an indictment (when, as they say, "you can indict a ham sandwich") just doesn't pass the smell test. Couple that with his corrupt handling of the Scooter Libby persecution (deliberate misspelling), when he KNEW Richard Armitage was the "Plame story" leak (as did Colin Powell, which destroyed the enormous respect I'd previously had for him), and his jailing of Judith Miller because of a personal peeve about her untimely phone call to an Islamic charity for comments about a pending raid (granted, a very bad error — but the blame belongs on the Fitzgerald-team insider who leaked the info to Miller; she was doing her job), and you've got a prosecutor who believes in "rule by men not by law," assuming he's one of the "men" making the rules. As bad as that mentality is in politicians, it's an obscenity in prosecutors.
Obama got his big house in Chicago with the same sleazy payoff style he got votes for Obamacare. Crooked is as crooked does!

Protect him? I think he's got as much to hide as anyone else. He sure isn't on the up-and-up. It may be just ego and hubris, rather than cash in a monthly envelop, but I'd put no greater stock in his word than in Rahm Emanuel's – and I know beyond doubt Emanuel can't be trusted.
Look at the property records in Cook County Illinois. I guess the government put liens on Rezko's properties…but they have been released. There are a bunch of records going from the United States of America to Antoin Rezko.
p.s. see if you can find a deed to Obama on his house. I couldn't find any deed going to Obama in 05, however something else the press missed….there seem to be 2 actual houses on Obama's Chicago property (in addition to the other vacant piece of land.
