What a week!
Scott Brown defeats Martha Coakley in Massachusetts. ”Health Care” on the ropes in Congress. Citizens United vs. Federal Election Commission puts paid to most of McCain-Feingold and breathes new life into the First Amendment. Air America crashes and burns, and nobody hears a thing. John Edwards turns out to be just as appalling a human being as we all knew he was.
Was this, as Jim DeMint promised, Barack Obama’s… you know what?

President Obama is not showing that he has the flexibility of former President Clinton when he was faced with similar defeats in 1994. Instead he continues to pursue an agenda that progressives find unsatisfying and conservatives use as rallying cry. While the ground is well prepared for stunning reversals in the House and Senate this year, Conservatives have yet to advance their own agenda-one that is not "just" the reciprocal of Mr Obama's. Now is the time for the country to hear from the GOP about solid plans for job growth, national security, and even health care reform.
Even in those outfits, the gals in Abba look better than our First Lady. And the lip synching is tremendous.
Patting myself on the back here that I was never an ABBA fan.
BTW and hint hint, Alice Cooper's b'day is Feb 4th, and he is NOT a democrat!

Good Lord!
People actually dressed like that back then? I'm glad I stayed drunk during that decade…………
On a serious note, Barrack has met his Waterloo. Further and beyond that, Health Care, has, and will be his Jimmah Carter "Iranian Hostage Crisis". Barry just bet the farm, and lost.
As noted elsewhere, Obama is returning to his comfort zone, which consists of "soaring rhetoric" presented to now-diminishing adoring crowds.
Obama is doomed to failure because his playbook is small, irreversibly stuck on his personal Leftist ideology and the decidedly un-sweet political nothings whispered by his Axlerod.
………and a Pez dispensor.
Yes. His playbook is small. It consists of essentially two, well worn, dog eared manuals: Saul Alinskey's Rules for Radicals, and Chairman Mao's Little Red Book.
Health Care, has, and will be his Jimmah Carter "Iranian Hostage Crisis"
If Obama had " Burning Helocopters " on the white house lawn he still wouldn't see the light..
Its easy to know if SCOTUS made the right call, just look at the gnashing of teeth and whaling in the media from the progressives.. It was a great week for America lets pray we have MANY MANY more !!!
The winner takes it all… Love ABBA. Since it is an open thread: how did you like the Glenn Beck documentary on communism?
maybe somebody could remake this video with a collection of lefties spliced in? they've got the "Wah, wah, wah, wah!" part down cold.
Most Excellent!
How did you like it?
I must say it has been a good week for freedom. From this disaster will come good, Carter gave us Reagan. And though there have been many comparisons to Waterloo, we must not lose this magnificent ground swell of patriotism and love of country that have forced Washington to take notice, one senate seat does not a complete victory over statism make. These Washington weasels must be vanquished, and freedom loving American’s have several election cycles to set thing right, “so party on Garth,” for now, there’s still much work to do…11/10!
Ellie, the Glenn Bk doc was great, although I need a video to watch it over & over. Didn't care for the
production(flashing light, beep beep beep noises etc). I began to worry I might have a gran mal (sp)
seizure. I am "of an age", before all the textbooks, even encyclopedias, were scrubbed of this info,
therefore had heard/ read some of it before, but thanks to Glenn I hope many, younger folks, who pro-
bably skipped history as much as possible in HS & Univ will become curious. Curiosity is a beautiful
thing.
I didn't really know that they were scrubbing information from books, but it doesn't surprise me. I caught just the last fifteen minutes on Beck, where he was talking about Mao.
Funny part about it? In about 1970-1972 (somewhere back about then), I did a report in school, on Communist China. it was during the time that Nixon went there. I remember as a kid, being proud of that report. I got an A+, and that was a big deal for me. EVERYTHING that I wrote in that report, Beck talked about yesterday.
Communists are not nice folks. I reckon they don't teach that anymore. I knew it then, I still know it today. I believe Communism has been glorified, and polished, by those selling the stupid Che' t-shirts and berets.
I knew there was something I liked about you! (Aside of all the other stuff I respect you for)
I was hammered from from 72-89 (oddly enough, about the time I started listening to Rush)
And now, It's like everything from those times is still new to me.(not that there was much there)
I am sorry I missed Reagan though.
I'll be frank. As a straight male . . . I love ABBA.
Funny.
I'm living proof that good whiskey and bad women won't kill a man.
Great video:

Enjoy!
Obama's 'town hall' meeting was a disaster! He wasn't even trying to be his usual confidant self…he was very angry!
Strange, I never had the bad women problem until I quit drinkin'. Maybe I just didn't notice….
Actually, now is the time for the GOP to be listening to the people, particularly the conservatives, and coalescing around the will of the people. That's a tall order for this dysfunctional party, but it must be done.
But timing is also very important. If the GOP presents their agenda too soon, it can give the opposition media too much time to attack our positions and cause divisions in the movement. You don't want to "surge" too early. Better to let the "progressives" continue to beat themselves up a little longer.
Beck's documentary was spot on for the younger folks, who haven't been exposed to real history vs. what passes for history.
It used to be said that history was written by the winners, from the crap that is being fed to the young skulls full of mush, it's hard to believe that we won anything!
Interesting article:

How they view US, across the pond. It should be entitled:
"The Waning Fortunes of the Incredible Shrinking President."
That was hilarous!
I'm gonna borrow it.
As a point of fact, obama is, and always will be, a hopeless ideologue. He's simply not capable of leading a center right nation towards unity. His only trick is to "divide and conquer."
If I had to pick another old song for the next presidential election, it would be Tina Turner's "We Don't Need Another Hero."

He's wearing a cape. OMG. Maybe Zero can borrow it and some of that people-pleasing power will rub off on him.
I did love ABBA in my youth. A high point of my loud music attendance days was a really good grunge band doing a Dancing Queen cover. It still makes me smile.
How dangerous is an angry Obama, though? I wonder if his paymaster is angry, too.
Look for dirty tricks on the horizon.
I agree, but it's a delicate balance. If the GOP proposes nothing but 'no', those of us who understand the danger of going forward with Dem plans will be satisfied, but they're offering the Dems a strong talking point.
One ongoing problem for the GOP is the press's insistence that they aren't proposing any alternatives. Which is ridiculous. They've proposed common sense changes to health care regulations that will help more people and businesses to afford quality care and will allow doctors to actually do their jobs rather than spend all their time covering their butts. The press has ignored these proposals and simply said they're offering nothing. It's outright false.
It's going to be difficult no matter what decisions they make or proposals they put forward. And I don't think Michael Steele has the spine to make it happen, unfortunately.
Haha…funny. Obama has a suspicious number of letter writing fans named Ellie Light. I included one of the letters which sound suspiciously like at least one troll who visits the BIG sites. Enjoy!
http://www.cleveland.com/open/index.ssf/2010/01/l...
In recent weeks, Light has published virtually identical “Letters to the Editor” in support of President Barack Obama in more than a dozen newspapers.Every letter claimed a different residence for Light that happened to be in the newspaper’s circulation area.
“It’s time for Americans to realize that governing is hard work, and that a president can’t just wave a magic wand and fix everything,” said a letter from alleged Philadelphian Ellie Light, that was published in the Jan. 19 edition of The Philadelphia Daily News.
If obama speaks in the forest does anybody listen?
I saw that information.
Interesting phenomenon, eh?
Perhaps Mao admirer Roberta Dunn, or avowed Communist Van Jones have each assumed the nome de plume "Ellie Light" and are embarking on a letter writing campaign, from the basement of the Old Executive Office Building.
This is newsworthy. VERY NEWSWORTHY!
I'm onto someone. Will get back. Might be a long shot but very interesting. Has ties to Chicago community organizing.

We will wait with baited breath, on pins and needles.
I would love for a Citizen Journalist to break a story, that would expose them in all their glory for all the world to see. We need some fresh blood, some new Woodward and Bernstiens.
I would love to hear someone ask Robert Gibbs, or Obama for that matter:
"What did the President know, and when did he know it."
Talk about chaos.
hehe Wonder and Bernstein…
I'm glad Obama has met his Waterloo. Now it's time for his Elba.
Or you could ask, If obama is speaking in the forest and there's nobody there to hear him, is it still a lie?
Nooooo!…but I'm sure there will be some radical squirrels that attack some beaver because he chewed down a tree to make a home…Let them eat nuts………..
I think you're right about the helicopters. He's on a jihad, inference of an Islamic mentality intentional.
The gal in the red is killing me in a familiarly retro way. I miss the old days NOW.
We need more Becks.
Obama's doom is due to the awakening masses who believe in the Constitution.
I'll take Obama's Waterloo but it's his Little Big Horn that I'm looking to.
A good read: "The Roots of Obama Worship – August Comte's Religion of Humanity finds a 21st-century savior," by James W. Ceaser

ALL liberalism is Waterloo, you haven't notice that behind O'bama is Hillary, Bill, Biden, Holder, etc???
ABBA was musical genius. Just sayin'.
This was the best week ever. The only thing missing is skittles-crapping unicorns.
Cowboy Logic
Here's to that. (thumbs up)
Do you know what the scariest thing is??? Barney Frank has all those outfits… and wears them….
That is exactly what I called the Massachusetts election. It was, indeed, Obama's Waterloo, as evidenced by his reaction: http://tinyurl.com/yegj4cs
The liberal reaction closer to the ground was summed up by a friend calling Brown's supporters the "Bubba vote".
They aren't going down quietly but, then again, the more overt they become, the easier it is to (figuratively) pick 'em off.
Waterloo, indeed.
Robert Gibbs accidentally used "Waterloo" during an interview on MSNBC http://tinyurl.com/ylamk4g
Oh! Good one!!
Sure slowed me down though.
You mean St. Helena. Waterloo came after Elba.
Never heard of them and need brain bleach for the six seconds it took to find 'stop'.
Give credit to Paul Shanklin and the great Rush that brings him to millions.
This past week is proof that we can and did make a difference. Let's not forget that we can do this again in November!
BTW, ABBA rocks!
I think you {guys|girls|boys} will like this….
A resourceful read I most recently read that I think you guys will like….
I found something {interesting|great|amazing} that I read….
I just had to share, look at what I found from looking around the web. …
