Shocker: Fox News, Not CNN or NBC, Is Most Trusted Name in News

Hmmm. It's the most trusted name in news AND it's now the most popular cable station, more popular than any entertainment station (and crushes other news outlets).

What could be reason? What could be the reason? I don't know. Maybe it's because FNC tries to give viewers what they want and actually provides something approaching balance? Nah.

It should come as no surprise to anyone except those at Media Matters. Fox, by far, tells both sides of the story as well as letting both sides have their say. Try getting that balance from Chris " I forgot he was a black for an hour" Matthews on MSNBC.

Little wonder since It is the most watched name in cable news and polls show the country is moderately conservative. For people who lean right, internet, talk radio, and Fox seem to be the only outlets where their point of view even gets covered.

Wrongly, I used to watch MSM from time to time. Now, I count myself proudly as a FOX viewer with our Founding Fathers conservative principles and values. The results of this survey do not surprise me for I see all around me this momentous wave toward our traditional values, as practiced by Fox and its viewers. Go to those other news sources and get “I forgot he was black for an hour”, if it causes a tingle to run up your leg.

The mainstream media did not vet a Marxist presidential candidate. They deserve to fail miserably.

The American people must demand media that keeps us informed, honestly and thoroughly.

Of all the television news networks, Fox News is doing the best job of that. But they are still not covering stories that should be covered. For example, they refuse to give fair coverage to the attorneys and members of the military challenging Obama's eligibility. They have mocked those who insist that the president should have to prove that he is Constitutionally eligible to serve, and they have never presented the facts accurately.

Notice that only 14% responded that they consider themselves liberal. I would guess that many more than that actually lean liberal. Many liberals think they are moderate, which is whay so many of them mistakenly beleive CNN, and the big 3 are actually fair and balanced. Even if you think FOX leans right, you have to admit that it's existance provides fairness and balance by countering the others. I happen to beleive that FOX does a better job of separating opinion pices from news, where MSNBC presents opinion as news.

I love the annalysis of this poll. . .people are tuning in because FOX puts on just what they WANT(!) to hear? How condescending can you get. How about we tune in to FOX because it actually gives the FACTS of a news event, it is their opinion shows that lean to the right. They are a trusted name not because they are "preaching" to the choir but because you actually get to hear the whole story before the pundits start whacking away at it. Many people watchs FOX news, not for annaysis, but simply because their reporting actually has FACTS, then they simply turn it off after the news, and avoid the opinion shows.

As to why they're still on the air, I'm going for now with the theory that Olbermann or somebody has pictures of the NBC execs in a compromising position with a male prostitute or something.

I would have put ABC at #2, just because of the way they stood up to the White House when Obama/Gibbs attempted to lock Fox News reporter Major Garrett out of a press conference. Jake Tapper stood with Garret and urged others to do the same & protect Fox News' 1st Amendment rights – admirable professionalism by ABC.

But Fox still rules!

No, I don't think that would make sense. For one thing, if there were compromising photos involving Olbermann, he would probably be forced out, and MSNBC can't sustain itself without him. For another, the only compromising photos of Olbermann out there probably just involve him and a mirror.
