The media is now dependent on a few basic food groups, which are keeping it on life support as readers migrate to the Internet and sites like this one for news, informed commentary, provocative questions, some laughs, and a shared sense of community.
One of the hoariest questions in the newsman’s notebook involves the Horse Race. No sooner is one presidential election over than the restless, ADDled MSM has to turn its attention to the next big thing and ask: “Are you going to run for President” while the current occupant’s name is still being stenciled on the glass door of his office or painted on his parking spot:

The latest example of idle media speculation comes now with The Question being posed to Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, whose tenure has been dogged by controversy over various infelicitous remarks, but who has also been remarkably successful in planting Republican flags in Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
From ABC News:
“Come on, don’t ask me that,” Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele said when presented with the inevitable question about his 2012 intentions and if his political aspirations included running for the White House next time around.
“In all honest-to-good seriousness, that is such silly Washington talk. It’s just not even on my mind,” Steele said about a possible presidential run.
Here’s Steele speaking about conservative principles at the Civitas Institute:
So… Michael Steele for President? Let’s have your overnight thoughts as we all face Monday together.

Michael Steel isn't doing a competent job running the RNC.
He has reached his high water mark. It is pointless entering a burro in a horserace. Any horserace.
Not just no but HELL NO!!!! Those victories were in spite of Steele not because of Steele…
"should Michael Steele run for President?"
Not if we want to defeat the Dimbos!
Your kidding, right?
No, Steele should not run. And Virginia, et. al. had nothing to do with his leadership.
As a Marylander I Loved him as the L Governor and despised him as the Head of the RNC, If you want the Grass roots to stay home and give Obama a second term then promote him for Pres.. I wouldn't vote for Newt either, we want REAL change and not recycled Rino's…
"Should Michael Steele Run for President?"
–> Sorry, I'm tired of questions like this and don't take them seriously.
"Should Barack Obama shoot his wife in the head?"
–> In my opinion, no, Barack Obama should not shoot his wife in the head.
"Do you agree with ANY of Barack Obama's decisions during his first year as president?"
–> Yes, I agree with his decision not to shoot his wife in the head.
Um, yeah…..thanks, but no thanks Mike.
Sorry, I prefer my president to have some cajones. Michael Steele is a ponce who has done little good for the party. He's starting to come around, granted. But his first showing was poor. I think the only reason for his recent rise to sanity in his position has been his realization of his unpopularity. I don't think he actually believes some of the things he says… I'm so ready for him to go and a real leader to step up.
President of WHAT? Hair Club for men.
In all seriousness, no. But I'd love to watch the Republicans squirm.
I think as a man Michael Steele is wonderful, but his past decisions have been tainted by the progressives in the party. His backing Scozzafava did it in for me. I believe the GOP party has come to a place where they must stand firm on basic conservative principles. I feel the same way about Newt….I think they have been in the beltway to long and have no ability to relate to the middle class of this nation. though it is interesting in listening to both of them after Scozzafava, they have trying to redeem themselves, maybe.
It is going to take someone outside of the beltway to excite me. I am not sure we know who that is yet, but the one person that really stands out to me is Michele Bachmann. She is fairly new to the beltway and savvy. That is one thinking woman and she stands against the left without a blink of an eye. I am watching her and how this next year goes…she just may be our Reagan.
No.
I feel exactly the same way. I think we have all become very wary and find it hard to look at old reruns.
the question might be wrong, president of the mickey mouse fan club, yes, president of the united states, sure, but i won't vote for him, i might even vote for a squishy dem over him. he cannot get in front of a microphone and make a argument that boils obama's skin. the former vp can, and so can sarah, but not mr steele. i think he needs to be fired from his current job, and quickly. come on the guy was arguing with rush, how effective is he?
So true !!!
no, NO
HaHaHaHa "been remarkably successful in planting Republican flags in Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts." HaHaHaHa Michael Steele can't get out of his own way!
How about we try someone with a sharp wit and even sharper tongue? Thaddeus McCotter 2012!!!!!
agree with most of that Lorben. His and the RNC media blitz defending their backing Scozzafava left no doubt for me either.. not only Steele but the whole top teir of the RNC. Bachmann is encouraging as well. She gets contempt from all directions though, and she sometimes doesn't respond as confidently as I would like. Other times though, she stirs up things very well just by having the gall to believe the Constitution is always relevent. Got to love her for that.
How about Arlan Specter?
Alan Keyes did really well against Obama in Illinois. NOT!
Sorry, I can't get behind Steele. I am sorely disappointed in his PRESENT stand on immigration reform.
…and his handling of the tea party movement.
No thanks.
I hope you are joking.
How about his anti-gun stance as well?
Damn straight, lads. When I saw the headline of this news item, the first word in my mind was "Scozzafava"…
I am thinking she will grow through that. It is hell to put up with the leftist garbage and her skin will continue to toughen. I think we are all hesitant to pick anyone at this point, that is why I said she warrants watching.
I think as a man Michael Steele is wonderful,….
How so? What motivates you to say that?
Are you dissing your man! How can you do that? He your man? Fonz, you really need to get back on your Abilify! You are not able to keep track of reality anymore! Your momma gonna be so sad when she realizes you have lost your touch with reality again.
Sorry, Michael Steele is a wuss. NO RUN FOR PRESIDENT!! He flagellates between RINO and Conservative and does not have any backbone. Puhleeeeeeze!! Ugh.
What motivates you to disrespecting any human on this earth…especially if he/she is a jew?
I THINK WHAT WE NEED IS A FEARLESS ,DOWN AND DIRTY ,PROBLEM SOLVING,VERBALLY ADEPT, POLITICALLY CONSERVATIVE, SHARP WITTED, TRUTHFUL PATRIOT.AND OH YES,A CITIZEN OF THE USA..
UNDER MICHAEL STEELE, THE G.O.P. HAS TURNED INTO A GAGGLE OF PANSIES….A GROUP OF PUSSIES….GONADS OF PEANUT BUTTER.
HE MIGHT BE A GREAT FUNDRAISER, BUT HE'S A LOUSY CONSERVATIVE. HE NEEDS TO GO, ALONG WITH ALL OF THE OLD GUARD (OR IS THAT "MOLD GUARD"?).
HIS NAME SHOULD HAVE BEEN "RUSTY"
To me, Michael Steele is like a puppy dog. Most of the time he wags his tail. Sometimes he growls menacingly as if he's a gard dog. A pat on the head and the tail wags again.
OMG! That man is something isn't he! He is another to be watched over the next year.
Amen! He/she will turn up. History proves this!
Troll, your not gonna bait anyone on that. Cause most of us know you are a troll.
Would you not just love to see McCotter vs. Obamao in a debate? The "One" would go down in flames.
It took several ballots and a lot of deal-making for Steele to get the RNC Chair.
Yeah run Steele and 0bama's second term would be a lock.
Why do you always avoid simple, direct questions? Why did you say that about Steele? Is your loyalty to the US or Israel?
You know, he may just be the one. I haven't seen him a lot, only on Redeye. I wish he could get some more air time. He is not a pretty face and unfortunately I think as a nation we are pretty shallow on that issue. Look at the pretty man we have now as our leader. Thaddeus is brilliant and I am glad that GG has him on Redeye. He could so totally take down the "One", cause he can't use that teleprompter for a debate. He would be toast…… Bring it on!
I think Thaddeus could just give that look of his to Obie and start his hair smoking.
He's already reached the upper deck of incompetency…I think it's called The Peter Principle..For Michael, it's called "I Lost my Cajones Principle"…And will never find them..
Because there is no reasoning with one who always comes back to the same stupid question, "Is your loyalty to the US or Israel". If you think back, I did answer that question once. But I realized you are delusional and I cannot add to your delusions…..
I'm not even trying and look what I caught!
I was gonna beg you not to engage this little turd….But got in a little late…
I know I shouldn't…..its hard though…..women seem to want to get the last word in!
It didn't bring any purpose to your cause….
Dittos all around….
Lorben, please don't engage the TROLL…It's waste of breath and "ink"…….
Besides I said what I wanted and he can stalk me so others can say their bit without him interfering. He thinks I am caught in his web when he is caught in mine!
Lorben
Love Michelle…The left is already aware and will try to " ImPalinate" her
My wife already suspects I'm in love with another woman – Michele Bachmann
For her to keep her cool to Arlen Specter when he made an ass of himself was precious!
How about a Michele Bachmann/Thaddeus McCotter ticket 2012, I think it would be POWERFUL
OK ..But now he's getting to be a waste of good space…
Im Palin-ate…Has potential…But needs work…
I worry about that too. As a woman I hate to admit this, but it is not our better quality to deal with crap the way the leftist dish it. They are vile and it is very hard for a woman not to turn into a bear when her cubs are threatened. I think that is probably the greatest fear I have for her, but we won't know till we see how she handles herself. She just may ace them out! Some of my gender have done great things in politics, Margret Thatcher comes to mind. That woman could scrap with the best of them in Parliament. I have watched videos of her recently that made my jaw drop with her ability to shut down the idiots. Time will tell and I must admit I have my eye on Thaddeus McCotter. He could whip O's a$$ in thirty seconds in a debate, no question in my mind. He too bares watching.
Good point….the site administrator could do something about it.
I think that would be fabulous. It is something that bares watching over the next year. I did love how she just made him out the fool he is, it was a priceless moment. Thaddeus McCotter and Michele Bachmann would be the dynamic duo, both extremely articulate, well spoken, conservative, conservative and did I say conservative?
And please tell your wife not to worry….its obvious you are hers forever….beside the fact, Michele is already taken!
Michele Bachmann / Thaddeus McCotter ~ 2012 ~
I think she's adopted 8 or more foster children…I'm sure the Troll contingent here will find fault with that…Like "see they should have been aborted, then they wouldn't have to like with Bachman"..
Yes please.
Honor is despised by those who lack it.
Amen!
She did it to herself by campaigning for McMoron.
Careful, Arlen Spector maybe Lorben's husband. They both wave the Israeli flag.
Uh, let me think about it.No.
An actual citizen? Novel idea, old chap.
I guess I'm the outlier here, but I've always been a fan of Steele. He's had a hard time steering the GOP, but after this last election anyone would. Gingrich was wise enough to leave the chairmanship alone. It's a thankless job. Steele took up the challenge. I wish him well.
Even if he should decide to run one day, 2012 would not be his time. Americans will be more than sick and tired of "race candidates" however unfair that might be.
Michael Steele is a David Brooks kind of Republican. That means a milk toast, non conservative, camera craving, Newt Gingrich kind of Republican. So, absolutely not!
Fonz . . .
never mind
now thats a bad joke…………………steele needs to go away……….he is part of the problem
I never rhought Newt would end up in RINO land…Shame he lost his instincts…
The current crop of most assumed candidates, Gingrich, Pawlenty, Romney, Huckabee, none of them can beat the Zero. None of them are Conservatives. Huckabee would be the closet to a conservative, but his record on spending in Arkansas leaves that hanging in the air.
Faces to watch – Jim DeMint, Mike Pence, Paul Ryan, John Thune all of these men have solid conservative credentials.
I just don't see it, no, he shouldn't run for anything.
echo this
Not quite ready. Needs executive experience in government or business. We need a tough guy, Herman Cain, talk show host and former CEO of Godfathers Pizza. Check him out, http://www.hermancain.com
I think if you reverse the order, it might be a winning ticket. I know there have been many postings regarding Sarah. I liked her during the campaign, and understood her decision to leave the Gov. office. However, I lost all confidence in her when she recently decided to campaign for McCain in his run to retain his AZ Sen. seat. She is now off of my list as any possible contender in the future, for that reason only.
To get back to the topic – Steele is ineffective, and frankly I don't care about what Newt has to say. Hopefully, Scott Brown will give others the courage to step up, if they can remain honest and truly represent the people.
He special that Fonz….special ed!
Paul Ryan is the cream of the crop, but he has no interest in the job. Good for him. One thing I've learned about the Republican party is that they're not happy unless they're attacking the people who represent them. Everyone is a RINO or not Conservative enough the second they take a position that someone disagrees with. What I find funny is that the most popular group in America right now is the Tea Party, and social issues aren't in their top five. Perhaps what Republicans need is to decide what their core principles are (in descending order) and follow them, rather than randomly calling everyone names who doesn't happen to share the same opinion as some radio host, TV host, or blogger.
You really need to be careful about falling in love with a persona. This is the same woman who let herself be outmaneuvered by Chris Mathews right before the election. The list of her misstatements on fact check sites is about as long as anyone I've seen. She seems to be very in tune with the talk radio hosts and often repeats things they say, which is dicey since so many of them are happy to play give liberal (pardon the pun) interpretations of the facts.
I like her personally. Anyone with her life story is someone to be respected. However, I don't see a future political star there. When I think of who I want to see leading a resurgent Republican party, I think of Bobby Jindal or Paul Ryan. Others could emerge, but I want people of good moral character who also can espouse not just the slogans of Conservatism, but every nut and bolt of how it will effect Americans. I'm sorry, but I don't see that in Bachman at all.
I thought she was fairly weak with Specter. She didn't lose her cool, but she also didn't put him in his place. It takes a special kind of intellect to always be able to think on your feet. McCotter definitely has it (although I've heard him a lot and don't think Conservatives would like everything about him), but I don't think Bachman does. She's strong morally and has a great idea of her values, so I'm sure she could be trusted to do what she says. I just have my doubts about whether she has the ability to fight back against the sharks in politics and the MSM, or the ability to convince people who don't agree with her that they should.
He's got a great wit and is very quick on his feet, but Conservatives would find a lot of fault with him. He was very much in favor of (and campaigning for) the GM bailouts. I don't think at his core he's someone who could survive the bloodsport that is Republican politics right now. I love him, but I'm not a Conservative. If they rejected Rudy and now Newt, they would eventually hate Thad too. I'm wondering if anyone is going to be allowed to appeal to everyone (ala Scott Brown and Bob McDonnell) without alienating the hardcore "we hate RINOs" crowd.
I think your Caps Lock key is stuck.
You're not alone. I've always loved Steele. He's had some rough spots (and I'm still not sure about the current GOP election strategy), but has raised money and brought attention to Republicans. He's also not embarrassed himself with ignorant statements like Howard Dean. I understand why Conservatives don't love him, but I think he's doing a great job of trying to pull more people into a party that had been badly damaged by inept Congressmen and a President who never fought back against the MSM or Liberal attacks (and also forgot to actually have a domestic agenda).
That said, you can't take a Lieutenant Governor who lost his last race and seriously ask him about being President. It is silly.
He didn't. People are just looking for someone to blame. If you want someone to go on a hostile network and defend Conservative principles, there is NO ONE better than Newt (unless you're talking a Steyn, Krauthammer or VDH). He tried defending the party with Scozzafava and it blew up in his face, but he's still the guy who got Republicans in charge of Congress and actually got the country running under Clinton.
Honestly, I'm so sick of the freaking RINO crap. One person says someone's a RINO because he's not fiscally Conservative enough, the next one says someone's a RINO because he's not socially Conservative enough, then someone's a RINO because he isn't angry enough at Democrats. It's so pointless and self-destructive. When did the Republican party become the party of high school kids who couldn't feel good about themselves unless they were calling someone else names?
I find Huck to be a very likable person, but from where I sit, he has lots of liabilities. Clearly, he's a social conservative, which is fine–but like many social conservatives, he tends to want to use the levers of government to facilitate the adoption of his social agenda. His "fair tax" proposals are junk–would just end up replacing one ugly bureaucracy with another. He's not really interested in shrinking the size and scope of the federal government–in practice, he would just prove to be another "compassionate conservative". I've had enough of that, thanks.
Mike Pence is similar–he scores high with me in most ways, and then shows where he's really at with his vigorous support of UIGEA (the act which seeks to severely curtail the online gambling business).
Jim DeMint is possible, would have to find out more about him.
I still think that Sarah is the best shot we have, even with her rocky start on the national scene in '08.
Is this the comedy segment?
Should Steele run for POTUS? No Way! The guy's a linguini-spine (and I'm talking post-boil, not straight out of the box) who can't even recognise that the GOP does best when it puts forward and supports CONSERVATIVE candidates…
I was very happy when he became RNC leader. However, since then I've been very, VERY disappointed in him. He has turned out to be another McCain type RINO. I could not see myself voting for him for president.
RINO
". . . that is such silly Washington talk. It’s just not even on my mind,” Steele said –
"Silly" talk like this is what makes the question silly.
The media is playing the oldest trick in the book: "Pay no attention to the troubles that our current President is having; let's focus instead on what can happen way down the road!" This is them trying to protect and 'cocoon' Obama any way they know how.
Your entitled to your opinion.
So far as I've ever seen, he's a pretty nice guy and therein lies the problem. We're trying to defeat a large-umbrella party of Darwidiots, Regressives, Communists, totalitarians of all types–not civilized people.
Not even Huckabee–he goes with the wind.
Bad news, Fonz, most anti-war types are only anti-war so the Communists can free up the money spent on wars to spend on the socialist programs the Left uses to disable the very people you hate so much, Blacks, among others. When the United Nations came into being, they thought they had that sewed up. You're working against your own interests. Flatliners are like that.
I would like to see Glenn Beck, even if we have to drag him kicking a screaming lol, That is how our founders envisioned it.. No more senators, we need to pick from governors or someone that has run a business..
Steele didn't plant those flags; the Tea Partiers did.
Well said. He's been the most inept party leader in my memory. The entire Conservative universe is waiting for a (Conservative) leader and he wants to follow Democrats.
I miss Haley Barber.
It would be entertaining to the Democrats, no doubt!

I respectfully disagree. No need to put someone in their place when they're doing it themselves, why waste the amo. I've seen her shoot quite effectively in other situations. She has what Palin lacks. We shall see more in the days ahead.
The guy's a lightweight who hasn't got the stomach for the fight that's coming up. If you think the Progressive/Marxists are going give up their power, you've been living under a rock. Nothing is off the table for these evil vermin.
.
Absolutely yes — MSM will give him the Palin treatment and we can accuse them of being racists.
.
Nope.
Michael Steele is bright, articulate, and a good role model for young adults but he would be more effective teaching school. The RNC keeps making the mistake of briging a knife to a gunfight.
Yes, absolutely.
And upon not obtaining the nomination of the party, he should stand up and say that the Party has ALWAYS been open to him, that it treated him as an individual, rather than as a hyphenated person. That the Party was honorable, it valued integrity and ingenuity…and it made a difficult choice between and among candidates based upon merit and not upon guilt or the "head patting" politics of the "give me a fish" crowd.
It would be stirring, poignant and graceful.
Sadly, he would suffer the indignity of being called every vile name by the race baiters from the "educated class" for daring to run as a non-leftist. This too would have a silver lining, showing the hypocrisy that coarses through the underbelly of leftism.
He would not win, he would lose. He would suffer mightily on a personal level. But it would be at the hands of his true tormentors. And that would be a lesson for the ages.
I've heard him say things on TV that really wrankled me and more then once.
.It's been a while now so the specifics are not at hand. But they were stands on issues thet placated the left, That is not how we win.
We will accept anyone into the party who wants to VOTE Republican, but when it comes to leadership and legislation, we must has people who are Conservatives 1st and Repubs 2nd.
.
Sure, the MSM would love to offer Steele up as a candidate, as it did with McCain — another candidate destined to lose.
NEVER AGAIN.
I got my "Don't Blame Me, I Voted For The American" and "Gore Lied" bumper stickers and gear at http://www.keep2theright.com
That's an insult to peanut butter, sir, and I won't stand for it.
I got my "Don't Blame Me, I Voted For The American" and "Gore Lied" bumper stickers and gear at http://www.keep2theright.com
Absolutely not! Michael Steele is one of the reasons the Republican party is in it's current state. "Compassionate" conservatism is the right wing of progressivism. The US Constitition is not an evolving document. There is no left or right of the Constitution. If you believe in the Constitution and took an oath to defend the ideals laid forth in that document, there should be no left or right. Adhering to the Constitutional values is the only way to cure the illness that has plagued this country.
Oh dear God no.
There is a conservative man who is anti-war. However, the RINOs are afraid of Ron Paul and find every way imaginable to discredit his strict Constitutional stance.
There is nothing wrong with bringing action to on offensive group like Al-Queda, but Al-Queda does not belong to a single country. It makes zero sense to occupy one country when the enemy is in several. Surgical strikes would be less costly and more effective. Also, bring home the troops stationed in Italy or France or any other country that doesn't respect the freedoms or security we provide. Or how about this, make the countries who want our protection pay for it.
Ditto…
One word…
Scozzafava…
Me, too…
Negatory on the good buddy
I already asked once…
NO. Nice guy, yes. Does not project conviction and a belief in conservative principles.
THAT explains the "short bus" parked outside his basement…
That was us, the people…not Steele…
He was busy peddling his book…
I don't think so – i've no idea what he stands for as it seems to change every time he speaks…
A +1 to you for the use of the word "flagellate" in a non-sexual context correctly…
LOL!!
In the latest Batman movie, Michael Caine comments that "some men just want to watch the world burn".
I have almost reached that point.
I have voted strictly Republican since the late '70s, and my disgust and dismay at the human garbage they have shuffled into office has taken me to the breaking point.
If the republican party decides to run Steele, or a similar incompetent or a McCain replacemernt part, I shall vote the entire Democrat ticket.
And laugh as the nation burns.
Why prolong the agony?
The Democrat party is not "the loyal opposition".
It is a nest of treasonous criminals.
If we must settle this on the battlefield, so be it.
President of the United States – NO
Chairman of the RNC – No
Back in any political office – no
Dog Catcher for his community – maybe
Develop a spine and a pair of balls – Definitely
BTW, Mr. Steel, tatoo this on the inside of your eye lids…No More Dede Scozzafava's, else I'll bypass the RNC and send my money directly to the candidate.
I like Micheal Steele, but I'd have to say no. I'm with Romney all the way!
The stakes are too high for us to be passive aggressive but your analysis is spot on.
Mr. Steele is as much a RINO as John McCain. Barack H. Obama would be in favor of Mr. Steele as a candidate for POTUS.
Why am I even answering this? Stupid question. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. Any questions? NO!
Really? Well how do you define Conservative? What if the person next to you defines it differently?
I always find it amusing when Conservatives tell me they'll accept my vote, but refuse to respect my opinions when they differ from their own, yet never consider the fact that eventually enough people may disagree with enough of their opinions that the party no longer reflects their exact agenda. What then? Will they accept voting but not having a say, or will they go start a weak third party, keeping people with the exact opposite beliefs in power indefinitely? My guess is they aren't as good at being out of power and would rather stay home, no matter what the consequences.
Mr. Steele seems to be a very nice and gentlemanly man. But – when you're in a dog-fight, you bring in the fightin' dogs, not the Westminister Kennel Club.
We must not support any candidate for office who cannot articulate the enormity of the peril our country faces if it continues down the path currently taken by the Obama administration. Michael Steele, although valued for his service and obvious love of his country, does not possess the qualities needed: the fierce determination of Ronald Reagan, the steely resolve in the face of unpopularity of George Buch, nor the courage to stand firm against opposition as Dick Cheney. Say what you will about these patriots, until now, they have kept us safe from terrorists who are flocking into our country. And with a President who continually ingratiates himself to people commanded by their religion to kill infidels (you and me) ,it is critical that a person of immense courage of his convictions be our only choice to lead us in the coming fight.
Really….Mr Moderate
OK …Since you asked..Here are the Conservative Planks I will NOT deviate from and expect Conservative LEADERS to implement… No third parties except for Dims….
1) Pro Life- Abortions discouraged and minimized
Improve the public schools by teaching the 3 r's
2) Low tax rates. Just enough to cover what is
Constitutionally mandated
3) Support for the military
4) Explore for and develop our own energy
5) Support ALL types of Alt Energy esp Nuclear
6) Simplification of the tax code
7) More prisons… Longer sentences for career criminals
9) Balance the budget
10) Tort reform and making HealthCare affordable by getting 3rd party payers out of the picture as
much as possible..
Deviation from these points can not be tolerated…But the devil IS in the details…
Yes it is, and I think you'd be shocked at how many people feel that you'd be a RINO (or someone with frivolous requirements). You're welcome to fight for any and all of what you want, but once you make a list, you'll find your support dwindling among people who don't share your corp issues (or have ones they feel are more important). That's precisely why the GOP refuses to list their top principles.
Funny that the Tea Party is the most popular movement in America and abortion appears nowhere in their top list. As a Moderate, I agree with probably 8 out of your 10. I'm not sure what that says about your list (common sense, or perhaps you're not as far to the Right as others), but I'm glad that you took a stand (you wouldn't believe how hard it is to get some people to tell you what they stand for). Kudos.
Hey DES …80% ain't all bad….I'll have to work on the other 20%… But you sound like a good moderate…
I jyst hope the 20% isn't amoung the 1st 5 items… OUT…
Michael Steele just doesn't, for the lack of a better term, have "the right stuff." He's wishy-washy and has negotiable principles. His comments about the RNC working "behind the scenes" of the Brown campaign in Massachusetts. after the win sounded so lame. What about during the campaign? Or, is it smarter to just sit back and see what happens? No backbone.
I concur. Ron Paul is a good man, and the RINO's have done all they can to paint him as a loose cannon.
Michael Steele started out as astroturf conservative! I think as time has passed, so has his conversion to actual conservative values solidified. I don't know if now is the time for his rising, but I sure want to see him keep fighting for his new found values that empowers the individual!! Jesus' theology about the fish is true, teach or give, one sets you free, the other enslaves you!! Anyone who has ever been around babies can realize this as being true! With teaching the baby soon learns how to feed itself, freeing you up to take care of other requirements of life!!
Steele, go find Colin Powell. Then stay hidden with him.

I think the MSM, along with the fact that she resigned her governorship (no matter how noble the reason), has sunk that ship. Don't get me wrong… I would LOVE to see her as president. I just don't think it will happen. Just sayin.
