Ailes won, hands down. Arianna Huffington was out classed and out gunned.
Major smack down- RA was unfased by Arianna's "language insiting the American People" speach bull. Loved the way he through it back in her face with the thrash she allows on the Huffington Post. And as for Krugman, "the problem is not enough people read the NYT," are you kinging me!

Finally. We are now seeing influential figures, defending themselves, against the blows of the progressive nerve center, by striking an impinging nerve, with a painful, correcting rebuke. Success is unfolding.
I'd give RA a 10 for defending GB and AH a 1 for being a A–H—-, she's just upset that after all these years of the progressives re-writing history that Glenn Beck undid it all in one night !!!

Whenever I listen to Arianna offer her insights on any issue I cannot help but think this is the same person who either did not know her former husband Michael Huffington was gay or merely used his wealth and political ambitious to capitalize to advance her own career.

If Huffington is a mouthpiece for the left she exposes their fear of Glenn Beck. The whole point of her rhetoric is to undermine Beck's influence because he is far too successful in derailing their agenda (which is why I love him). But trying to get Ailes to side against Beck is trying to convince him to go against his own interests (as he so ably stated). Here's hoping they keep tilting at windmills. Ailes gets the win. But like others have said, it wasn't much of a challenge.

Amen. Poor Krugman looked completely ineffectual, the ultimate whiny, pseudo-intellectual who wishes he was king so he could make the American people actually read his dishrag of a newspaper.
I loved that he was on the roundtable, as the representative of the dying media caught in the crossfire between two reps of future media, though in Arianna's case she brought a flintlock while Ailes brought a Browning .50 cal.
Krugman is a smarmy lil' toad that should always sit there, shifting his weight from buttcheek to butcheek, with his lips stapled shut.
Does Puffington ever do anything but whine when a microphone or keyboard is shoved in front of her plastic mug? Is there ever anything socially redeemable that she has said, typed, or done?

Arianna Huffington is a fraud. When she was married to her quasi-masculine Senatorial candidate husband she was the champion of the Republican party and Newt Gingrich. Now we find her simply an annoyance with a bad accent. Why does she get a seat at the table in the first place? Was Broom Hilda on vacation? Or was she just chum in the water for Roger Ailes? I just cannot fathom that anyone finds her to be credible.

It's a rare occasion when anyone calls out Huffington on her bull. I think, based on early comments I heard from conservatives soon after she "switched' allegiance to the American Democrat Socialists, that many felt sorry for her. These are guys who drank cocktails with her when she was playing the role of 'Conservative Pundit'. But Huffington is a political entertainer, not a serious opinion-maker. She came to America to make it big, one way or the other…one side or the other…it doesn't matter which side.

…THE ECONOMY (not including the participle you left dangling in the original context of that closing line… that made it clear the "slaughtered" was THE ECONOMY).

I quit watching Glenn three years ago, on CNN, because he was obviously a nutjob–he was talking about how the gov't was going to take over the banks and private industry and devalue our economy.
Now I watch just about every day. Maybe you should try to put a stop to that, too. Maybe they'll let you be the Chief of the Thought Police.
It's mind boggling that so many networks don't get the basic principle that seems to obvious to Ailes– respect your audience. America is a center-right country. Every poll backs that up.
