He was then hired to be Massa;s deputy chief of staff–pretty small potatoes for all that money. From Opensecrets.org Ron Hikel of Toronto gave $15,850 to Obama and $6,455.00 to Erik Massa. Andreas Hikel, obviously a relative of Ron, gave $2300 to Erik Massa (Oct 30, 2008) and $2300 to Obama. Ron Hikel gave $1,000 to Chris Dodd as well.
Hikel in Canada seems to be involved in health related enterprises. Strange that he would spend all that money and end up with an legislative aid position to Massa–then rats out his boss with the sexual harassment charge.
