Just when I thought I was out…They pull me back in.
This is exactly what I thought when I saw this tonight.
I was thinking of the very scene while watching the interview today:
Mr. PENTANGELI you are contradicting a sworn statement that you previously made to me and signed. I ask you again sir — you are now under oath — were you at any time a member of a crime organization — headed by MICHAEL Corleone.

Maybe I'm just too conservative, but I've never seen any of the Godfather movies and can't quite relate.
Rahm is the "Godfather", Massa is trying to get back in the good graces ot the DIM "family" so he won't be whacked. but what he said initially is the TRUTH…And I believe him…

Massa played Beck and made him look like a jerk. He was well prepped and kept repeating the party line with a great big grin on his face — probably thinking about all that stimulus money he got as a parting gift from his friend Obama.
Yeah, Messa would make an awesome Luca Brasi.

only to recieve a special pakage of his bulletproof vest wrapped around the dead fish.

They're worth watching, if only to understand the references and a basic understanding of what is referred to as the "Chicago Way".
I'd start with the "Untouchables" then move into the "Godfather" series

I was waiting for Beck to kick him off the show. It was pretty clear by his body language that he knew Massa wasn't going to say anything of relevance.
The Creepy Ballerina rat -faced Rahm Emanuel and this other poof Massa, Gangsters! LoL.They couldn't survive a Brooklyn school yard much less the Underworld. Please. These are the kind of punks they find chopped up in a sack. That's if they find them at all.

Two of the best movies I've ever seen.
Two superlative movies, two of the finest movies ever made, imho.
Memorable scene after memorable scene.
Chock full of famous quotes and fabulous performances.
Godfather III is a dud, you can skip it.

Yep, we got played. I kind of saw this one coming though. All too easy for a freshman Dem with a grudge against leadership for ousting him to play to the healthcare fight and the right. I have to say, this is the first time I have agreed with Pelosi or Emmanuel on anything; it's quite unnerving. While I don't doubt that Pelsoi and Emmanuel are engaged in much arm twisting and backhanded dealing, I'm not sure I would go so far to accuse them of criminal activity. Well, other than the bills they push. Anyway, Massa is a lunatic (what did you expect, he's on the left) and nobody should have ever accepted his story without suspicion; it was too good to be true. Come to think of it, he may have approached Emmanuel in the shower rather than vice versa.
Oh, and is that Axelrod in the picture? I haven't seen the Godfather so I didn't know if the photo was from the movie as well.

Massa was acting like a complete idiot, in D.C., a bit leaked, because they wanted him out ( you bet Rahm has been trying to intimidate him, but nobody connected with Obama wants Rahm to be smeared by a lowly freshman Congress critter, who is a loose cannon ! ) and Eric's performance on Glenn's show was the male version of the Clintonian "nuts and sluts" gambit, that was used against all of Clinton's "women"…………………….except that Eric did it to himself.
Because Massa came off as such a "goofball", the Dems are praying that now the GOPers can't turn him into another Foley cause celebre and they're going to get their wish! This is actually the first Dem, caught in a sex scandal, who has been thrown overboard, in recent history.

Nope this is bad press. MSM didnt cover this closely enough, not enough detail on the front end of the story just a few rumors and inuendo. The vast majority that are still getting their news via the big three are hearing rumors of some senator congressman guy bullied to vote for healthcare and then getting kicked out. The sensational rumor is what they will remember, not the backpedaled explanations. The only loss of credibility here is with Massa and that credibility is only lost with political junkies (like us) There is another group that wanted Massa to stay even more then conservatives, the far left that wanted public option or no deal. So we leave it alone now and let it fester, As the rank and file go looking for answers as to what the fuss was about they wont find much and that will only make them more suspicious.

I've heard now that Rahm has been taking fisting lessons from the Safe Schools Czar. One can only wonder what will be happening in the showers next. Now that's a stretch. That being said, the interview only reinforced how disfunctional our government really is. Unfortunately what is happening to the American People is even worse.

Two of the best films in history. The film is in many ways a conservative manifesto being essentially a tragedy and the theme of family is overarching. There is a lot there for a conservative to appreciate.
Massa was already retiring. He had absolutely nothing to lose by creating a non-story about stepping down and then milking it in the blogoshpere and on talk-radio for all it's worth.
What the Dems win is that they, once again, create a storm in a tea cup that the right was quick to adopt and which actually got Massa on Beck–Obama's nemesis. Massa called Beck, do not forget.
Massa then proceeds to exonerate the administration, make it sound like there is just your typical corruption that everyone does going on, and downplay the whole event.
Once again, Gibbs has set up the whole affair as ridiculous and Massa confirmed that. Do you think the people who adopted this story look more or less credible after this event? A few stories like this and the seeds of doubt are planted.

I was sitting there watching Beck and Massa, and this exact scene of Frankie Five Angles came to my mind. I was looking around on Beck, to see if I could spot Massa's brother sitting on the set. It sure was a reminder of life imitating art………..

I am a jaded cynic. I did give Masa the benefit of the doubt. He did not close the deal with me. There is more here than what meets the eye. They can paint him as a lunatic all they want to. I think there was something very telling in his statement, where he went back and rephrased his original statement regarding Rahm Emanuel. He said (paraphrasing) " I'd like to retract what I said about Rahm putting his children on the front of a steam engine. He wouldn't do that. He would put MY CHILDREN on the front of a steam engine."
Personally, for me, that was the "tell". Someone got to Massa, by threatening his children.

I added this question to the rotation based on this kerfuffle from a January briefing, in which Robert
Gibbs claimed the press corps had accused the President of being overexposed. Chip Reid pointed out that we were merely asking about a criticism made by the pundits. Since then, most of the reporters I’ve spoken with have dismissed the bleed through as rather harmless, if it exists at all. Chuck Todd is another story, and I agree with him completely.
Says Todd: “There’s no worse crime in journalism these days than simply deciding something’s a story because Drudge links to it.”
My take is that Massa is that either
A) He was ticked about being pushed out and spilled the beans on Rahm in the shower and then was told the heat would go away if he towed the party line on Beck.
OR
B) Jarrett or Axelrod got him to fabricate the Rahm story, but to lay off it when he went before Beck.
Either way, Massa is a weasel douche. He doesn't have the integrity to resign just for playing grab ash with staff members. Ridiculous!
But none of the Godfather characters were Tea-baggers like Massa and Beck. Funniest freakin' TV ever!
