It wouldn’t be an Ann Coulter appearance without some “controversy,” especially as manufactured by the Pavlovian lapdogs of the MSM, and last week’s appearance by the author and syndicated columnist at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ont., was no exception.
Conservative author Ann Coulter found herself embroiled in controversy last week after she spoke at a Canadian university.
According to numerous American media outlets, when asked by a seventeen-year-old Muslim student at the University of Western Ontario last Monday, “[S]ince I don’t have a magic carpet, what other modes [of transportation] do you suggest,” Coulter responded, “Take a camel.”
What the Coulter-hating media ignored is that she spent almost two full minutes giving a rather thoughtful, fact-based answer to the first, more serious part of Fatima Al-Dhaher’s question, and was badgered by others in the crowd who clearly didn’t like her response.

Honestly, I think Coulter got burned here. The heckler made a good dig, and Coulter wasn't quick enough on her feet to give a good answer. Frankly, if she'd just said "a camel, next question", that would've been a lot better than a rambling strawman about how we made Japan a Christian nation (here's a hint: we didn't).
While Coulter's heart may be in the right place, her rhetoric is somewhat unhelpful to the cause at present to say the least.

The question(s) was two-fold. WATCH THE VIDEO and LISTEN TO IT. Anne was answering the first one when the knuckleheads in the crowd started inexplicably screaming for her to "answer the question." The issue with people like 1moretimeJM and Aaron is that despite the video proof to the contrary, they'll find a way to ignore the facts and then put down any counterargument to their perspective which is usually simply a restatement of the facts. Its why liberals can only argue emotionally and not logically.

It's very rare for a drunk driver to be charged when they hit a pedestrian. The drunk driver who ran a red light and hit my son breaking his leg and giving him a concussion was given 16 days in jail for DUI. Not only was he drunk, but he had no license and no insurance. Anyways, if I were unscrupulous and hit someone…I would go get liquored up, so that the court would go easy on me. And no, I'm not joking.

When we have people like Glenn Beck staunchly speaking out against violence and dangerous speech and Andrew Breitbart condemning racism, you have people like Ann Coulter who make it easy for people to paint the movement with broad brushes. She's discriminatory; it's her right to be so and she can say whatever she wants. For all I care, she could say all muslims could be fired off on a rocket to the moon, and hell, I'd agree with her. But is that what need right now?

I didn't see it as "flubbing a response" but an attempt on her part to provide a reasoned answer. I think your suggestion of her simply responding with "a camel….next question" would be "classic" Coulter, but not what she's going for in that environment (generally).

She says South Korea is a success as a Christian nation. That's true according to it having the highest number of Christians in east Asia after the Philippines.

I guess my particular problem with it is that a) it was obviously a set-up question that didn't deserve a reasoned response and b) the reasoned response she gave, the Japan example she gave didn't really support her arguement very well. Yes, Korea has been a success story, but largely in Japan, Christianity is considered a quirky cult at best. They're still largely a secular country. The success story with Japan wasn't opening the gates to missionaries, but how a model representative democracy based on our own was able to take root in a culture centered on industriousness.
Also, unlike countries under Sharia, the root of the problem between Japan and the rest of the world was not their religion; it was fervent nationalism combined with power and land-hungry leadership.
Canadians take their multi culti as far as it can be dragged. The fact that Anne was talking up there , was allowed in , is amazing , perhaps a sign of change. Canada , from a demographic point of view is just barely European and soon will not be European at all. And yet they let her talk. I used to live in Hawaii. Just before I left, there was a guy there who was being sentenced for his 35th DUI. THIRTY-FIVE! Now don't get me wrong, I loved Hawaii and would still be there if I could afford it. But they are a liberal/progressive state and you see the how they enforce the law. Anyway, the offender pleaded for leniency. He begged the judge for rehab and probation. The judge sentenced him to prison. I don't remember how many years he got, but it took 35 DUI violations to finally get this man behind bars, where he belongs. Same as the guy who hit your son. Sixteen days is not enough.

This is true. The first question, though, was "Should I be converted to Christianity?", which was also a troll question. The MacArthur annecdote and the success of Christian missionaries in Korea really didn't have anything to do with what she asked.
