Here’s Florida Congressman Alan Grayson, probably the most obnoxious member of that august body (if you don’t count Barney Frank), barging into a meeting of the Orange County Republicans executive committee yesterday and — this being “Die Quickly” Grayson — hilarity immediately ensued:
But wait! There’s more!
This is the man whose official biography on his House website includes a heartbreaking, and heartwarming, Dickensian tale of his young life in the Bronx. Try to control your tears as you read this triumph of the human spirit:
There is right, and there is wrong. We in Central Florida have sent someone to Washington who fights for what’s right.
Our Congressman, Alan Grayson, grew up in the tenements in the Bronx. It was a hard life. He had to be a fighter to survive.
His parents were teachers. They made great sacrifices, to make sure that Alan received the best education.
Alan was a sick child. His mother took him to the hospital four times a week, for treatment. Without health coverage, he would not be alive today. He remembers that.
Alan rode the subway to school each day, and he worked hard. He was the valedictorian of his junior high school. By passing a test, he was admitted to an exclusive public high school. In high school, he achieved the highest test score among almost 50,000 students who took the test. Harvard College saw something in him, and admitted him.
The nation surely owes a debt of gratitude to Harvard College, and to the voters in Florida’s Eighth Congressional District, for giving us this guy. Note the smirk on Chris Matthews’s face as he introduces his hero:
Meanwhile, where is the MSM on this? Were Grayson a Republican, they would have elevated him to the status of a national punching bag — the sneering face of the joke this Congress has become. Instead, like Frank, they give him a pass because he’s wacky and lovable and, well… one of them.
Yeah, we’re talking about this guy, all class, and with a heart as big as the great outdoors:
You can take the boy out of the Bronx, but you can’t take the Bronx out of the boy.

I like the patty meltdown.
where's the puke bucket for that sob story on his website….
But..but..but…
Republicans want people to die!
What great sacrifices did his two parents make for his education that every other parent makes on behalf of their children. Sounds like he got a free ride in the education department.
I'm pretty sure Grayson is emitting way too much carbon dioxide. He must be stopped!!!
What a dolt.
For lot's more on this american "hero" see this dedicated site. http://www.mycongressmanisnuts.com/
He is a disgrace and needs to go. Now. However, your last line is quite disrespectful – of people from the Bronx.
Didn't Grayson star as the retarded mail room clerk, Benny Stulwicz on L.A. Law?
Was that him? I swear it was Grayson…
Classic modern liberalism in action. Disrupt, make baseless charges, insult.
The entire purpose is simply to take the issue on the table that's being debated, off the table. Change the premise of the debate. That's all it is.
And I will grant it, he's very good at it. I think I could take him in a debate, because I used to specialize in that when I was on the left. Better at than he is if I must say. I wouldn't have to sink as low as saying such outrageous things.
But he's just your average off the shelf, garden variety modern liberal on steroids.
That guy is nuts!

Grayson makes Benny look like a Rocket Scientist.
Mad dogs should be put down.
The problem with this situation is that Grayson is actually up in his polls in his district. (http://www.americanparchment.com/library/election/fl8_house.html) We need to strengthen the tea party in that area. They need to get out and spread the word about what had has done in the last year including the health care bill.
I really thought there was hope for the country and common sense had returned so sensible people could be elected to Congress, but if Florida gives this jerk another term, I don't know.
….at the voteing booth.
just being careful.
I was starting to suspect that this man is mentally unstable. Now, I'm pretty convinced.
The first thing I would do is get a restraining order against Alan Grayson when holding a meeting. As to Harvard, don't even think it, it is just another college and the prestige it may have held at one time is so sullied with their list of who's hideous as to be notorious. I see Harvard and shrug, spit on the ground and look away. It is an ugly place filled with ugly people who want to exert their ugliness over anyone they can.
But, to Grayson, this is a very mean hearted man. May his ill expectations follow him throughout all of his days, with suffering, sorrow and loneliness his constant companions. As John Lennon said, "One thing you can't hide, is when you're crippled inside."
If that option is still available by November. A lot can happen between now and then. After what I've see, I wouldn't put ANYTHING past these people.
Grayscum fits my 2 rules of libs to a tee. 1. Libs are smarter than you and I and have no problem telling you over and over and over. 2. Libs are very very tolerant as long as you agree with them on everything.
I hear ya. We have Corrine Brown too. Embarassing.
"You can take the boy out of the Bronx, but you can’t take the Bronx out of the boy."
I'd be happy to try. He's a BIG GUY with a BIG MOUTH. Screw him.
Some districts have a majority of voters that are idiots!
As a woman, I will call it like it is….Alan Grayson is a man whore! He loves hims some attention he get when he goes overboard. Problem is, it is going to cost him his seat!
That does seem to be the problem with sickly children….momma felt so bad for them, they never got slapped upside the head when they were out of line….and with that you get petulance. Grayson and Obamao are perfect examples of this!
Mommy babied that one to much! Just sayin!
…When is too much love TOO MUCH…?
Is it love or guilt?
I had of course heard of Grayson, but had never observed him in the process of demonstrating that, indeed, one can fit 300 pounds of b.s. into a 200 pound plastic bag. And is it just me, or does he bear an unsettling resemblance to Jeff Greene (CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM)? Without the charm, of course?
While I agree with his voting record I don't agree with his techniques. He acts too much like a tea partier for my tastes.
Probably a lot less than will die in the years to come, for that reason

Grayson is the only example needed to explain the dire straits that the USA finds itself in. Not only the the doofus himself, but the people who voted him into office are to blame. An uneducated and uninterested electorate have foisted this piece of garbage onto the national scene. We have let this go on long enough, it is time to take the country back from the loons.
Can you cite any instances of members of the Tea Party doing anything similiar? Or was that merely a gratuitous swipe?
Could his election be blamed on "hanging chads" perhaps?
More like Methane…
He has a cronic case of oral flatulence… It might be terminal… Comes from his lifetiem struggle with cranial rectal inversion…
It is sad really…
There are many, but the one that sticks out for me is them running through the halls congress yelling and screaming before the final health care vote. Or the senate and congressional town hall meetings last summer shouting down anyone they disagreed with. Is that enough or should I give you some more.
Or is it…
Never underestimate large stupid people with numbers?
This guy is an embarrassment to the House. This is one of the "leaders" of the free world. Hard to believe.
Hey Look
Its Richard Cranium trolling here again.
They are definitely taking it up a notch….but I am still hopeful the peace niks will not be able to raise a gun on us.
Peace ni . . Cowards always have sombody else do their dirtywork for them. Turn that peace sign upside down. Yeah, that's what they really are.
Piss off, Troll!

[ Eli's Hammer ] Hey puke-bucket moderator…just checking in. Looks like nothing has changed. ta-ta-4-now
I hope there's no hard feelings here boys. They run a respectable place here.
You has been deleted by the administrator.
[ Eli's Hammer ] I guess I just started to like Grayson. I didn't before. Now to clone another million or so to keep you all happy. Something to live for. Something to cling to. A meaning to your fiscal existance. Atlas didn't shrug–he shuddered.

Now you're splitting hairs.
Dear DavidM and Dueuex
While I occasionally respond to name calling I won't today. It's a good sign that you have low intelligence.
True…SEIU….
Oy gevalt! MONSTER!
I could be I suppose. I think that the tea partiers get painted with a broad brush.
…Say, you may have to pop my pompous "balloon" after all – I just compared myself to CLARK GABLE over in another thread…!
No one with white coats and an ambulance outside came in to get Grayson out of the meeting?
Hey, I agree, like all movements, they are usually singled out by the fringe element. I just wish the tea partiers would work more with our President. Everyone worries about taxes and the debt. I am a 1099 employee and I'm shocked when I get my tax bill. Anyway, thanks for giving a reasoned response and not resorting to name calling.
This study was incredibly flawed actually. It took a sample of people and asked if they were insured. 10 or so years later it went back and checked — if you were dead and you didn't have health coverage, that meant that you died BECAUSE you had no health coverage. As if health coverage will save you.. a lot of times with old folks it just prolongs your life a few months or years or makes you more comfortable while you die. An INCREDIBLY flawed study, but this supposedly scholarly individual can't see that. Nor can MSNBC. But Rush pointed it out.
See, this is what I thought….if you had no health insurance and you died from, oh, I don't know, running into a greyhound….on the side of a bus…then you \”died\” because you had no health insurance…I didn't know that Rush had pointed this out…Thanks for the ammo!

No, Benny Stulwicz wasn't retarded, Stinky butt Grayson is.
Like the moron who tried to crash the Tea Party Express today in Escanaba, MI? This idiot made a circuit around the rally in his car, blasting his horn non-stop, trying to drown out the speakers. It didn't work, and hardly anyone even gave him a second look. He took off in a hurry. Guess he was afraid of all the conservative women there.
I'm calling bullshit on this bullshit.
I'm around this turd's age, and am pretty familiar with the South Bronx, having attended many Yankee games, and having worked unloading trucks in the Hunts Point Market as a teenager.
I am talking here about the Infamous South Bronx that became the national symbol for urban decay, and which was frequently compared to Beirut, because the place resembled (and often sounded like) a bombed-out war zone. This is undoubtedly the image this wackjob seeks to invoke – that of a hard-knocks white guy who learned all about racial inequality by living in the belly of the beast.
In the first place, there were no – and I mean NO white families living there in the '70s and '80s, when he was growing up. There may have been some white women there, but they would've been hookers or junkies, or both. Second, unless his TEACHER parents were both junkies, they did not live in the Infamous South Bronx.
Now, well away from the Infamous South Bronx were some fairly nice, working class to middle class neighborhoods, that could be said to be located in the southern part of the Borough of the Bronx.
But this piece of shit did NOT grow up in the Infamous South Bronx.
She says "Code Pink" as if there is something bad about them.
You are absolutely correct. If you rammed your motorcycle into the side of a greyhound bus at 180 MPH you would have died because of a lack of health insurance, according to this study.
And you're welcome =D.
What a creep.
Thank you for saying that Lorben, as a Mother, I could never withhold a drop of love! There is no such thing as too much love – ever! It is the other emotions that drive bad decisions, guilt certainly being one of them.
As for grayback grayson, he could be the kid in harry potter, the chubby boy – can't think of his name!

Grayson is to manhood as Obama is to pitching…
Many moons ago when I was in college, I took a Marriage and Family Psych course (the name alone tells you how long ago) and the Prof was wonderful. He told us that when a child needs to be held, he/she needs to be held. Nothing is to important that that child cannot be picked up and held. I practiced that with our three daughters and I believe they are well rounded out individuals. I cannot wait to see how they parent….I see inklings of it when they are around small ones and I like what I see. Hold them as much as you can OCG….they are grown and gone to fast. ;^) Thank God there is the promise of grandchildren and that stage in my life is what I look forward to next.
Very true!
I do have to say, in the second video, it seemed that he was having a civil conversation with the group he was with. I believe that it was the woman, shouting comments from the distance, that precipitated the ending of the video. He did ask her nicely to turn the camera off and didn't go into a rage, as some do, when she didn't. He walked away, thus ending the discussion.
We need to be conscious of how we present ourselves, as well. He was willing, and was in fact, having a discussion with some there, which is what we say that we want, to be able to speak to our representatives and discuss our issues without the vitriole. While the first part of the encounter, the first video, did not help, it seemed as though he apologized for it, in the second. It was tough as the volume is so low.
Let's think before WE speak, so that we will not be automatically dismissed.
That ain't "Bronx" you're seeing in Alan Grayson – that's the Arrogance of an Ivy League Education…
…matched by an Ignorant Manner, Immature Ego and Corrupt Political Ambitions….
Please know that I never slapped my kids upside the head…it was a figure of speech. Now their little bottoms another story…
I too loved the story of Helen Keller. I read a lot of Biographies as a young girl and that one is the one that stood out the most. But did you know that Helen Keller was a radical socialist? I did not know this until recently and it really made me pause. She was also a strong proponent of birth control and a friend of Margret Sanger….more pause. It made my heart sink to learn this…but such is life. A link of a letter Helen Keller wrote to Sanger.

Sorry…not buying today…
Aside from who conducted this "study", and how they prove that anyone "died" because they "didn't have health care."
(Did Doctors list that as "cause of death?") there is a larger point here…Whenever the Leftists start throwing out numbers, we have to do the math.
310,000,000 Americans 10%=31,000,000 1%=3,100,000 .1%=310,000 .01%=31,000
45,000=just under .015 percent of Americans
Yes, death is a tragedy….but "people die" is a fact….is .015 percent, even if proven to be caused by no health insurance, a "problem" worth destroying the freedoms of those 99.085% of us who are still alive?
Thanks Flordia!
Alan's election teaches us something:
never underestimate the power of stupid poeple in large numbers.
From his bio:
" Later, Alan decided to leave that business, and return to the practice of law. Alan and his wife also decided to move to Orlando, and raise a family. Their first child, Skye, was born in 1995. Now they have five children: Skye, Star, Sage, Storm and Stone. Storm and Stone, twins, were born in 2005."
An unusual string of given names, but hey, this is America where people are free, within the bounds of respectability, to name their children. For some strange reason I haven't seen or heard a thing in the MSM about these names.
Cut to Sarah Palin's campaign and the shrill insults plastered all over the MSM's story boards about the unusual names she and Todd gave their kids. They were portrayed as bumpkin rednecks for their choice of names. You'd have thought they committed some kind of crime.
Just another of the infinite number of examples of the double standard.
I wonder how many people have died as a result of being denied coverage by Medicare.
still the sickly, feeble child. like our president, a lifetime spent reading and rehearsing, he has no actual experience and everything learned is in theory. no doubt this one still cries to mommy. hopefully this blob will never hold another public office.
Come come now. I cannot claim pride or argue that Grayson is not a stain on some Florida voters. That being said, we have some pretty strong officials in this state. Jeb Bush was a terrific governor, AG McCollum led the lawsuits in the states against Obamacare, AND we are about to send Rubio and Col West to Washington. Cut us a bit of slack, it's a big state and there is a mix. Besides, if you line us up with California, well we are working it out with some balance.
More:
This guy has a VERY impressive resume. His accomplishments include earning a bachelors, JD, Masters in Government, and a Ph.D. in Government in record time at one of the most academically challenging schools in the country. In addition to all that, he did this:
" In the early 1990s, Alan took leave from the practice of law, and started a business. Alan was the first President of IDT Corp., a telecom/internet company. The business started on the second floor of a funeral home. It grew to be a $2 billion-a-year business, on the Fortune 1000 list, and traded on the New York Stock Exchange. In short, Alan has lived the American Dream, starting a successful business and seeing it grow."
Having said all that, I'm completely at a loss to explain why such a smart guy, a member of Phi Beta Kappa, a self-made millionaire businessman, doesn't see the irreparable damage the obscene spending of this administration is doing to our country and our children's future and, in fact, willfully participates in saddling us with so much debt that it may be impossible to preserve our economic and military strength.
Can anyone explain to me this apparent complete contradiction?
Great catch on the names, prof.
It never ends, the double standards crap, does it?
I also agree with your next post. I was thinking the same exact thing as I was reading his Wiki Bio. 12th Richest member of congress – all from his own work. You'd think a guy like this would realize it's the American free enterprise system that made his success possible. I mean…what is it – guilt?
The man's definitely got something going for him – it's just going in the wrong direction
His parents should have beaten him.
Did he actually win that election, or did the courts just give up.
I mean he's not good enough, smart enough, and gosh darnit,
people just dont seem to like him.
Stupidity and a sense of entitlement
He is fairly STOUT… I was somewhere inside the beltway recently and he was there and I wanted to just go off on him, but I was working…
He is a walking talking Thought Turd…
One can never love a child to much….guilt is the killer…..some women are trippy and destroy their kids by overcompensating and not disciplining….that is not love, it is guilt Dad's can do it too….and maybe Grayson is the product of mommy and daddy both indulging the sickly snot nosed bratt…..
Were the town hall meetings Democrat- only events? Grayson crashed a Republican meeting. That seems to be a distinction worth noting. I have not seen any coverage of tea partiers yellling and screaming in the hallowed halls of Congress, not saying it did not happen, but evidence would be nice.
Grayson is a grade A douche bag…
And then the brave fiscal soldier, looked to his proud little cloth dog with buton eyes and shed a tear. A single black tear, which bore a rose, a-red-red- rose, as it touched earth. He pauses again, lifts his head up and charges into the smoke–into the sulfuric nether…go brave warrior! Wear your colors proud. Yellow on Yellow. Yellow for your lost pride. Yellow for your hidden shame. And he is gone…
Who was the african american guy recording the event. Was that to provoke a racial confrontation perhaps?
I can't see him ever being re-elected. His is a 1st-term fluke!
Something about a town-hall meeting says to me that it is about the politicians listening to the citizens and answering questions. A private meeting suggests "invitation only".
What hairs? One is a public forum, the other is a Perkins restaurant at which a private meeting was held. One was on tape, the other (much like the phantom spitting an n-word yelling incidents) was not!
The forum is, you are not!
In case you haven't noticed, we elect a president to work FOR US, when he pushes bills through AGAINST the VAST MAJORITY of the people and makes LIES OUT OF ALMOST EVERY CAMPAIGN PROMISE, I see no reason to "work with the president", he works for us, he should govern according to OUR WILL!!!!!!!
lol, it didn't even cross my mind that you slapped your kids upside the head! Nor have I to mine!
No, I didn't know that about Helen and dang, I probably could have guessed. Thanks for the link, I will check it out.
ACORN and other "actors" handed it to him, specifically the extra ballots "found in the back of a car" and counting irregullarities.
Totally a "managed" victory.
Too true ma'am, far too true…
They also voted for "Hope…"
Look at how that turned out…
Male escorts get 1099's?
An excellent response. If he were in management, we could use his "manager rescue device" (aka his tie) to attempt to undo his cranial rectal inversion.
But as the poor english and low quality of his non-cut & paste posts clearly show he is merely a low level minion. We may need a rope to aid in pulling his head out of his a$$…
I mean we would not want to hurt him or anything, that might disqualify him from the special olympics this summer…
Then how did you find it?
Ive seen the grayson attitude many times in my life. I have warned people, northerners , to adjust their behavior when they move south. Some do, some dont, but I suggest it for their own safety. I cannot tell you how many times I have told yankees who arrive in Texas that no matter how they feel about the way someone is driving, do not make any obscene gestures or honk your horn…. ignore the situation and go on. Some will ignore my advice and see the business end of a gun pointed at them, or have someone shoot at them. Grayson believes his behavior will not illicit anything worse than what he has seen in the bronx and orlando. He is so arrogant, that even if a person tries to warn him about what he is facing out in the heartland, he will ignore it. The best thing a person can do is just step back and leave him to his own devices. I have no doubt that someone, in a culture he is totally ignorant of, will react to his insults in a way to which he is not accustomed. His best hope is getting defeated in November. Since he is clueless, he will have to learn the hard way. I pray he will still be able to learn after Bubba does whatever he feels compelled to do.
just another loud mouth PUNK,
A simple fact, if I may: With or without health insurance, everyone dies. I've had six friends in the past five years who have passed away due to illnesses, brought on largely by poor diet, obesity and old age. Five of these friends had health insurance and one was independently wealthy. Scores friends and aquaintances, most with insurance, are sick, on presription drugs or don't take care of their health, relying instead on someone to do it for them. A cursory glance at the fact will show that having insurance does not equate to living longer, better or forever and any argument made to convince people otherwise is specious and criminal, akin to some 19th century snake-oil salesman peddling his magic elixir, good for whatever ails you. There is no substitute for eating right and exercising and avoiding high-risk behavior as it's been proven to have a longterm effect on your health and longevity. Outside of that, there are no guarantees. This is not about healthcare, folks.
I would have like to have continued on with the conversation with RichardPorter but it was dinner time and my wife was giving me the mean face, I had to go.
Both parents–NYC school teachers!
That aint privation folks. 90K plus 90K for 9 months work is a solidly upper middle class existence.
Luv to find out if the "apartment" is one of those rent controlled, gorgeous places up on the Grand Concourse, a tony area of the Bronx. (Think of Charlie Rangle.)
I'm from the Bronx too but I went to Fordham.
My B.S. meter is hitting the red zone on this guy.
Found his opponent on Facebook athttp://www.facebook.com/kellyforcongress.
Wait a minute! What kind of parents make that kind of money and then neglect to take their kid to an orthodontist.
The poor guy looks like a badly carved jack-o-lantern. Maybe that's where all the anger comes from.
What, are you REALLY assuming we care about ANYTHING you bring to this discussion…?
And the ripping the Duggers get for the same thing…J is their favorite letter…
In the Dugger's case, I think its a family joke…for Grayson, its due to mental limitations…
Benny Stulwicz was played by Larry Drake. To compare Mr. Drake performance with that idiot Grayson is a insult. No one can be as stupid than Alan Grayson. And if Mr. Grayson doesn't like that, I'm in the book!
He's not stupid.
I'd have to say he's not handling his God-given intelligence wisely.
His behavior exhibits to this psychiatric layman all the symptoms of megalomania.
Megalomaniacs, if my decades of observation are accurate, fit in far more easily with dems than they do with Reps which would explain his roosting way over on the left side of the coop.
I can name some other people that specialized in lies, intimidation and threats: Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Mao, Kim Yung Il, Castro, Che and Hugo Chavez, just off the top of my head. All of them progressives, like the infamous Alan Greyson, and all have been shown in retrospect to be murderous dictators. Give Greyson enough time and sooner or later the people of Florida will see him for what he is. Of course, one thing must be mentioned, all of them targeted the weak and the poor first, then "progressed" to others. The msm has no concern for the weak and the poor so none of what progressives do seems like news, until they progress to others.
Meanwhile, at leftist websites like DU he is being hailed as a hero. "Confronting the liars and speaking the truth" The usual BS C**pola you would expect.
Alan Grayson didn't learn to fight he learned how to be a bully. This has served him well until recently, now people are beginning to see that all he is is a bully. No substance, just a loud ineffectual voice with very little to say. He's been taking money under false pretense because he has not been a true Representative of this district, he's been a NON-representative. What we need and will get this November is a real Representative like conservative Republican Patricia Sullivan to represent this district. Her Constitution guided common sense is what we need to correct Al Grayson mess.
Don't be too quick to "date" your class, because it was titled, "Marriage and Family."
A fairly short while back, Texas Tech University was 1 of the top 3 doctoral programs in the nations for Marriage and Family Therapy. Purdue and Southern Cal were the other 2.
That is interesting because the name has changed in Washington state…my youngest daughter just took last quarter. But the name is eluding me now….I will find out though. One of the better classes I took in college.
alan grayson failed to mention that by him voting "yes" on the helth care bill, he is cutting 500 billion out of medicare and that cut will speed up the death of 70 million old people. he also fails to mention that the democrat parties support of abortion that kills 5000 babies a day. take that times 365 days a year and you have ta la, close to 2 million babies killed a year. his presentation before congress should have been a poster showing how many people the democrats kill a year. anybody that would vote democrat in this day an age is an idiot.
It is sad, isn't it, that most of the students graduating public high schools have no idea how to balance a checkbook, differ in opinion with a spouse, or rear children effectively?

The scary part is,is what were the idiots like who voted this guy in office, did they actually pay attention or just another blind vote and never even listened to him,he reminds me of a few past bosses I've had…crazy, rude and arrogant to boot!
