The tragedy of the unprovoked attack on Allee Bautsch and Joe Brown in New Orleans recently is intensified by the media’s near-silence on the matter. In another example of its no-enemies-to-the-left mentality, the MSM has gone to ground. Not a word is issued in print condemning the attacks. No reporters are calling members of Congress, the White House or the head of the DNC for comment. No talking heads on television are pulling their chins and wondering if there’s a “climate of hate” loose in the French Quarter.
What we have here is effective MSM news blackout on a vicious, and most likely politically motivated attack. Has the fourth estate falling into such a swoon with the progressive talking points, that they too believe like the attackers that Ms. Bautsch was a “lil blond b*tch” and thus deserved the beating she got?

Does the local press in New Orleans not want to dig into the works of local progressives and their propensity for violence? Does the complete lack of fitting the narrative of “right-wing violence” keep the press far from watchdog mode and squarely in lapdog mode?
Here we have a beautiful 26-year-old woman who has pins and screws keeping her leg together. We have her boyfriend with a broken jaw and nose. At what point does the media become a willing accomplice, through its silence and utter lack of curiosity, in these crimes?
For more than a year, we have heard about putative violence from the Tea Party and right-wing homeland security threats, yet so far the only violence has come from the other side. The media has presumptively declared the Tea Partiers racists, yet the proof is strangely lacking. Andrew Breitbart has offered $100,000 for video proving that racist taunts were shouted at members of the Congressional Black Caucus, as alleged by the progressive left and its willing accomplices in the media. The money is still on the table.
The media has driven the violence towards the conservatives. They have spewed MoveOn and Organizing For America talking points. At some point won’t an adult in the newsrooms across America begin to question the narrative? When will the news directors start to challenge the assertions of the progressive left? At what point will the lies and the broken bones be enough?
We’ve had more than a week go by with no arrests in the New Orleans case. Days of silence by the local press, of the DNC chairman not having to answer questions about violence from party supporters, of thugs free to live their lives unafraid of the consequences of their actions.
Enough is enough. The media has tacitly approved the shattering of a young woman’s leg in five places, apparently over political differences. The media by its lack of coverage and pressure has sent a clear signal to the American people that the press will sit by when the thugs come for us next.
Maybe the next Tea Party needs to be held along Media Row on Sixth Ave, at Rockefeller Center, in New York.

Read this from the New Orleans police report and ask yourself if the fourth estate is looking out for your interest and safety:
Shortly before 10:30 p.m., Mr. Brown and Ms. Bautsch left the restaurant and began walking towards St. Louis Street. Mr. Brown noted there were several protesters loitering in the area, but not nearly the number which had been present earlier. Soon after leaving the restaurant he heard “cat calls.” At an unknown point within the 400 block of Royal Street, both Mr. Brown and Ms. Bautsch then crossed from the Brennan’s side of the street to the Supreme Court side of the street.
They continued to walk towards St. Louis when Mr. Brown began to hear people behind him scream obscenities. Initially he was not sure if they were being directed at him and his girlfriend, of if they were simply the outbursts of drunken revelers.
As they neared the intersection, Mr. Brown state he heard subjects state things such as “Little blonde bitch,” “You’re a f——- faggot,” and “You think you’re f—— special.”
At this point, Mr. Brown realized these derogatory terms were being directed at Ms. Bautsch and him. He then requested she begin to walk faster toward the Omni-Royal hotel located at the intersection of St. Louis and Royal.
Mr. Brown also recalled the farther they got from the restaurant, the closer these subjects got to them. When they reached the corner of St. Louis and Royal, Mr. Brown and his date turned south on St. Louis.
It was at this time that one of the subjects pushed him into the iron gate that surround the State Supreme Court (building). He then fell to the ground, and one of the attackers got on top of him and began to attack him. Mr. Brown stated as he was pushed to the ground, Ms. Bautsch was also either pushed down or fell down near where he was. As he fought to get his attacker off of him, he heard his girlfriend cry out in pain. She then repeatedly stated, “Oh my god, my leg is broken.”
All of the attackers then ran away in an unknown direction.

And where is Bobby Jindal? Does he not have the ability to get a message across?
Not to be offensive to you, Mr. Ross, but do you have any idea what kind of hellhole New Orleans is right now? As bad as it was before Katrina, it is even worse now. These could have been your average band of cutthroats wandering the streets for a little "fun." Nothing in the police report you posted gives conclusive proof that these were leftists, although I by no means rule it out. If evidence comes out to support that theory, then the MSM should (but probably won't) report it. But until then, to say these are liberal, progressive thugs without proof is just as bad as the lefties from DailyKos trying to link the TEA Partiers to the nutjobs of recent weeks (the nutty professor, the anti-IRS guy who flew a plane into a building, and the bipolar guy who attacked the CIA building).
There isn't much here to refute your claims either, Mr. Ross…even though some want to give that impression…
This, boys and girls, is why left-wing revolutions turn into bloodbaths. The thugs like this wind up in charge and think they can beat up or kill anyone that they don't like because their goodness and righteousness allow them to play judge, jury, and executioner. When the left fears what might happen when the right takes over, it's projection, because they know what their people would do if they had the power to, something that has played out in one left-wing revolution after another.
You never know the motive of attackers that do not leave a confession behind. You may just have to use common sense on occasion.
http://thehayride.com/2010/04/the-brennans-beatdo...
"But while they don’t claim certainty, Bautsch and Brown believe the attackers did come from the group of protesters. Berning said the two felt followed immediately after leaving the restaurant where the protesters were, and the attackers looked like some they had seen in front of the restaurant."
New Orleans is the @sshole, and Chicago is thearmpit of America with the hemmoroid in DC.
The evidence is out there. The Hayride has the rundown.
These were not hired thugs of the DNC like the people who beat down Kenneth Gladney, they were your run of the mill far-far-far left protesters.
Even the slight relationship to the "Left" gives the MSM cover to not even touch it. But we ALL know that if this was some staffer for Gov. Patrick in Massachusetts, every paper and news show in the country would be trying to dig up the link between the beating and the Tea Partiers.
And what about the yesterday fight at the Los Angeles City hall between two dozens of Neo Nazis and a few hundreds of violent anarchists?
Not that I sympatizes with those skinheads or whatever – but they were clearly engaged in a peaceful meeting, when a violent "pro-immigration" crowd throwing things attacked them and the police –
Where is Los Angeles Times' denouncing them vigorously, making the identities of the arrested ones public?
Or the dude who killed the guard at the Holocaust Museum, or the… or the…
Or Madddow trying to connect Tim McVeight to the Tea Party –
Or Bill Clinton talking about the nuts around and the Oklahoma bombing "state of mind" -
I really can't bring myself to get outrageously outraged by this. It's clear to me that this is a politically motivated beating, especially compounded with the reports of others being followed and intimidated by the same mob.
It's par for the course for the Libs, and the only thing that will stop it is force.
What the GOP and the right does in handling the outrageousness of the left is the same strategy the Democrats are using against Al Queda… Pretend the threat doesn't really exist, or try to play nice with an opponent that is lying, cheating, stealing, and beating the life out of people.
Those yahoos who committed this atrocity had better be glad the big fella on the left side of the photo, Texas Governor Rick Perry, is not the one "looking for them."
There wouldn't be a hole deep enough for them to hide in…
Take a look at our Department of Public Safety Troopers' uniforms. They wear Stetson type hats. The hats are white. (Following western film history, that makes them the good guys). And they all work for Rick Perry.
'Nuff said.
The assailants have been quoted by other sources as yelling derogatory politcial remarks as well as profanity. This was clearly not a random mugging as the purse Ms. Bautsch had was not taken. She used it to rest her head on while waiting for medical/police assistance. The Hayride as complete reports and updates. Clearly as badly as the Jindal group might want to host the Republican Convention in New Orleans, this is not the appropriate location. What was once the beautiful, exotic, exciting gem of the South is a refuse of criminal activiity and an example of corrupt local (Democratic) policies.
Louisiana is a concealed carry state…. There was certainly disparity of force and intent to commit felonious assault. A broken leg is major trauma and can be life threatening.
I guess the Good Old Boys will have to take care of our own!!
You mean the kind of "common sense" that says an anti-IRS nut must be a TEA Partier too? That is the kind of unfounded accusation the MSM makes, is all I'm saying. People think this was a group of leftists, and yes, they most certainly are. I am just saying that we shouldn't get so trigger happy with accusations that it becomes a case of the pot calling the kettle black. If the police can track these thugs down (and the lefty protesters would be a great place to start the investigation) THEN we will know what their motivations are. And if, as is likely, this was in fact a politically motivated attack, then we can justly accuse the MSM of whitewashing it (if, in fact, they do). To properly berate their behavior in this instance, however, you have to say "Why are you acting like professionals now, waiting for facts to come in, when swooping down and proclaiming right wing motivation without any supporting facts was good enough for you before?"
But even these stories do not positively identify these thugs as belonging to the group of left wing protesters in question. The site merely says that people involved that night "believed" or "assume" they were.
Exactly. I am not trying to say these thugs aren't exactly who they are assumed to be, I just want our side to live up to what we are constantly telling the MSM to do. Let's just wait until there are some actual FACTS here about their identity.
Hopefully, he is having this incident thoroughly investigated.
Some years ago, a relative was visiting Louisiana for a brief work-related issue.
While there, the news was full of a child molester's being let out on bail.
The "good ol' boys" mentioned by wolfveryne, told the relative that the guy would never make his court date. That he would become 'gator food in short order.
Where is the Video? no video -didn't happen. 100k for video proof.
"The media by its lack of coverage and pressure has sent a clear signal to the American people that the press will sit by when the thugs come for us next."
If they come for me they better have an army. A well armed one. A sheeple I'm not.
Go away, Troll.
I'm from Louisiana (north LA) and we've known up here for over a year now that Jindal is not a conservative and he's also not willing to take on the legislature unless prodded and pressured when it came to legislative pay raises. He also is a big government politician in a so called "conservative republican" disguise. So do you think he has the guts to stand up to these guys? I'm not surprised one bit frankly and Hannity should wake up and do some digging on this guy because he's not who he seems. It makes me sick to see Hannity fawn over him like he does, he's an empty suit.
A good show to listen to for anyone who's interested in LA politics is the Moon Griffon show starting at 9am central mon thru friday. Moon's got Jindal's number and it would do some of you guys good who think you know him to listen to the show. I wont put the link to the radio station site, just google moon griffon and you'll find it.
God bless you guys for at least reporting this and keep up the great work, I visit all biggovernment sites many times a day.
The LameStreamMedia is a culpable accomplice in the destruction of America by "progressives". One of the most effective ways to deal with the LSM is NOT support any of their advertisers. Money talks! The circulation of the LSM is already in the tank and as a result, so are their advertisers. Additional pressure from even more loss of income from advertisers may not matter, but it could mean their demise can be facilitated at a more rapid pace.
The New Orleans episode is but another in a long list of the ignorance and bias that goes on daily.
I think the broken leg is known as evidence troll.
How many of the "Nazis" do you think were actually "confidential informants"? Think Reichstag moment. It's coming. Clinton is preping for it.
Thank you! Finally someone who writes for a conservative media outfit agrees with me.
The Tea Party protests are so mistargeted, IMO, and have been from the very beginning. We can vote out the idoits and assholes in DC every 2-6 years but we're essentially stuck with a 90% radically left media.
Until Dianne Sawyer has to watch out for protestors on her way to hope in the limo for a late lunch at the Four Seasons; until Pinch at the NYTimes has to fear a spitball or two flying his way; until the muckety mucks at the WaPo have to "touch" us Red State commoners to get out of the way on the sidewalks outside of their bldg….until any or all of these things happen, these tea party protests have never really happened in the MSM's minds.
The American media has been an active participant in leftist crimes for 70 years – crimes involving the murder of millions of people. Mere politically-motivated beatings are beneath their notice.
Just too bad that these two weren't armed with 9mms…
Yep. This is exactly why the GOP and the right gets steamrolled again and again. Rationally debating the left doesn't work. They don't want rational debate. They want to win. They want power. And they will do anything to get it, including lie, cheat and steal. We saw how they passed the Health Care bill, and we saw the arrogance they displayed after it passed with Pelosi and her band of thugs marching through the Tea Party crowd.
The Tea Parties can try to prove how non-violent and non-racist they are until they're blue in the face, the criminal left doesn't care. They will never stop trying to demonize and marginalize. Breitbart and many people on this site know what we're dealing with, but too many of the general American public are still sleeping.
I think the point of the article is that the MSM would be running with this if the allegations could be pointed at at Tea Party protesters– no matter how tenuous the link– but will ignore it entirely if it implicates anyone on the left. Are you okay with that disparity? This post smacks of liberal hypocrisy to me.
reminds me of the government, they walk on water.
"It was at this time that one of the subjects pushed him into the iron gate that surround the State Supreme Court (building). "
Just thinking that the building should have camera's all the way around it…. How about we take a looksie folks!
I want to believe that this was politically motivated, but until there is proof of the fact, we would be acting in the same manner as the liberals who cast apersions at us; conservatives and Tea Party members.
Just sayin'. . . . . .
Does this story warrant Breitbart's personal attention yet?
If there had been thousands of people standing around with camera-phones and camcorders, and not a single one got video evidence, then RustyDumbAzz might have a point. Of course, that isn't the case; therefore RustyDumbAzz has has no point and is merely an idiot. 100k for proof that he has a brain.
Rick Perry? You mean the convenient conservative?
Excellent! I've been saying this about Jindal for quite some time, but no one listens to me…
Nah – I mean my governor!
Quite simple to have a few thousand rooms booked and then cancel because the PD fails to take attacks on people seriously. Whe people vote with their wallet it does get their attention.
the msm is going down in flames…………..like Joey Klein shoving gerbals up his butt for bo's entertainment
Now that the victims have issued their statement there can be no doubt that this is a truly heinous crime of political intimidation by Democrats and other Leftists. This nice young couple was just working hard for a Governor and the ideas that they believe in at SRLC, and the Democrats and other Leftists beat them so severely that their surgeons estimate a three month recovery.
Ask yourself: Can you ever again see any Democrat or other Leftist public figure that has not owned that their own broke Allee and Joe's bones, condemned the attackers and their cohorts, and apologized without also seeing these pictures in your mind and thinking that they are just a little complicit?
Also ask yourself: Can anyone that continues to deny that this savage crime occurred or the political nature of it be far removed in character from those who committed it?
http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=36584
Contrary to popular belief, the police are not there to protect you. While situational awareness is good, a pistol would have been better in this case.
More like a brain addled by 100-proof.
yup. exactly.
That's the point of this piece, "does it fit the narrative?" yes, run with it. "No?, quash it"
It's that simple.
He's been the govenor for TEN YEARS. I think we kinda "know him" by now.
Hell, he's a Texas Aggie and I still vote for him.
That's saying alot!
I've said often that at least liberal politicians but also main stream media types should be FORCED (somehow) to take a car trip across REAL America, i.e. not Manhattan, LA and San Francisco.
When seconds count , the police are minutes away. …………………….. Just ask Yvette Beakes about her experience with 911
This sounds like a perfect justification for Concealed Carry. Even in the Peoples Republic of California, lethal force is authorized when you are under physical attack and also to defend another person under attack.
"All of the attackers then ran away in an unknown direction."
The attacker were as all progressive/Marxists/socialists/Che lovers are- COWARDS. If you are departing any place being protested by libtards, always leave in groups and have your camera, video or phone cam ready… and anything you can find to defend yourself… dinner fork, stick or whatever you pack. It is better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
That's one of the things I love about Cajuns. Whether it's gators, nutria or pedophiles, they know exactly how to handle an infestation. They kill them, eat them and wear their skins.
This left wing, Democrat Party hate crime took place less than half a mile from Mary Landrieu's office. Remember how the media covered the incident with James O'keefe? They were all over that. But silence with this hate crime will be the norm. And for those that keep condemning Bobby Jindal……these people seem to be planted by the left to make attacks on someone they fear might emerge as a leader in the Conservative movement in the future. Just like the attacks on Sarah Palin, they keep telling us who they fear.
So…the fact that he was crying and whining to Washington for the bailout originally doesn't bother you guys? I know it bothers my other friends from Texas.
I mean, it's funny. He talks a good game to get elected, like they all do.
I thought he was a good guy too, until one of my Texas friends finally suggested I do some research.
But if you're happy with him, who am I to disagree?
If you do anything today, PLEASE send a link from to at least one MSM outlet in your area?
…or send it to your local newspaper and television stations. Let's inundate the MSM with the facts, instead of letting them turn their heads the other way.
Texas gets back $0.94 for EVERY $1.00 it SENDS to Washington for asshole politicians too WASTE. I we can get back even a matching $1.00 for $1.00 I'll be happy.
So, you do the math, Mr.Research. Or let me do it for you, because you SUCK at it, k?
How is your state doing, hmmm?
[...] In New Orleans, Media Incuriosity When The News Doesn’t Fit The ‘Narrative’ [...]
The "people who make things go" expect their politicians to DO THEIR JOB. That includes GETTING VALUE for the tax $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ sent to Washington D.C.
Texas does well because we're TEXAS.
We're Texas because we elect smart politicians who fight for free markets and responsible government.
You avoiding saying what state you're from. Why? I'll be 'kind'.
So they were randomly attacked for no reason by random thugs? They weren't robbed so this wasn't a mugging. Anyone with a brain would suspect the protesters first.
Here, find your state and see how it's doing. I believe that your state should get back an equal amount to what it pays in. Some states get BACK WAY more than what they pay in. That sucks.
http://www.visualeconomics.com/united-states-fede...
Isn't that what I just said? Texas is doing well because you're Texas?
I'll avoid the bit about smart politicians. Didn't a couple of your guys actually vote for the bail-out? And GWB (still love him personally) could spend some money.
As for the state question, sorry, forgot. I'm up in NH. And there's really nothing you can say about this state. At least nothing that I don't already know (and probably agree with!).
Yes sir. I'm not picking a fight, I just reply to a question – a legitimate question with what I think is important, performance. N.H. has a vacancy coming up in the name of Judd Gregg, a guy I respect for his convictions if not always his actions.
He says what he means and has a been a valuable "moderate" in pushing back on Obama. I can be a bit of a sharp edge, particularly pre-coffee! I apologize if I was er, "sharp".
He's leaving at a pivitol time in our nation's history, I respect his decision but I fear it'll wind up being a Democrat pick up in the Senate, and yes, he's a smart Senator on fiscal issues. He'll be missed. I like that he looked at what Obama had in mind and withdrew as a potential cabinet member. That exposed Obama early on.
I doubt it will be a D pick up. Hodes is fairly unpopular here.
I think the pendulum is swinging the other way now.
Good! I didn't know that. A little "native intelligence and sanity" from an original state. Excellent!
Bobby is still hiding under his bed.
So glad to live in a right-to-carry state. CCW applied for and coming soon!
Assuming this is true, it is no accident that all three of these cities have been run by dems for decades…
I just want our side to live up to what we are constantly telling the MSM to do.
Pretending that this will make the Left non-hostile and protect innocent lives, is something people who can't handle violence usually say. It's an excuse. That's all. The evidence didn't protect people. Word play won't. It's an excuse to run away from the problem.
Let's just wait until there are some actual FACTS here about their identity.
As if this matters. Were there any actual facts linking Tookie's murder rampage to the Left? No, until they tried to protect him. The left has already started their protection scheme. That's all the evidence that is needed.
Being directly and personally involved is not a requirement when we speak of terror organizations.
What happened here is that they found two people that were potential victims. Scott, by not going back to the restaurant or sending a communication that he will fight their attacks, led the criminals to believe they were easy prey.
What is true of all crime is that the criminal first interviews the target to see how easy of a time they will have. They will also look at their surroundings to see if it is a place that a crime can happen. By moving away from the restaurant, Scott stuck himself and his girlfriend in Indian country. Without an ability to defend his space.
This is the consequence of weakness. Ain't no government, police, or military superhero going to come save those that can't defend themselves. It's a government myth that any person can always benefit from the government, in every situation. Only aristocrats have such rights, after all. The serfs get nothing but a beat down.
Nobody taught Scott or his girlfriend this. This was also intentional on the part of Leftist public education. A bunch of defenseless serfs are far easier to control than virtuous men and women.
Correction: Joe, not Scott.
Perhaps, but I'm going to connect the dots myself instead of waiting for the Gov't to do it.
It looks like there MIGHT be a photo of the "tough guy" who beatdown Ms. Bautsch.
A real tool – woman beating douche: http://www.tncon.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/j...
Here's the article with TONS of photos of the entire pack of idi0ts.
(BTW, they have now threatened the guy who wrote the article. We need to stand-up for these people!!!!) http://www.tncon.com/2010/04/17/in-new-orleans-a-...
Dude! Really? What is wrong with you? I don't care who they were or what their political bent. This was WRONG! You feel nothing for the people attacked? I like to believe there is good in all of us but if you can't feel for these people and want their attackers punished you're as bad as the criminials who did the beating.
Texas, it's good to note that the 70's violence referenced by the Botox Queen was perped by Leftists.
As a former lefty, I can clarify this for you. He/she/it feels something for the people attacked. He/she/it feels pleasure at the thought of their injury. No, AverageJoe, there is not good in all of us.
No Julie. The best form of protest against the MSM is with your wallet. Don't watch their networks (NBC,CBS,ABC) Don't buy their papers. Contact companies that advertise with these media outlets and tell them you won't buy thier products.
Remember, "Money talks… BS walks." This isn't a boycott. This is consumer choice. Voting with your pocketbook.
Given crime problems in New Orleans, the only possible conclusion to draw that this is a run-of-the-mill crime. Nothing else seems to be plausible.
As for local coverage, apparently the Times-Picayune doesn't count to BigJournalism; they covered it first and based their reporting on the police report.
I guess we don’t know whether this was a street crime or a politically motivated attack. But we do know what the media thinks. They think it was left-wing thugs attacking Tea Partiers. That’s why they aren’t reporting it.
That's fine. Enjoy your opinion–hell, enjoy mocking mine, because I really could care less what you think.
And Texas is doing well for a variety of reasons. Climate, size, natural resources (that includes Texans themselves!) and others. I'd say Rick Perry is way way down on the list of why your state is doing as well as it is.
Or do you think politicians are more important than the work of the people who actually make things go?
Then you apparently have not read the New Orleans Times-Picayune, which has published at least six stories on it, one of which essentially has the police all but ruling out a political motivation…one day after a friend claimed that there was it. I would be more inclined to believe the police.
http://topics.nola.com/tag/bobby%20jindal/index.h... (links you to all six stories—all in the Times-Picayune
Re: White hats. They don't always denote the good guys. I submit <a href="http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&q=boss+hogg&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=r7DMS-OTHIHMMqWotJcF&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=5&ved=0CDIQsAQwBA"> this.
Doesn't bother me. My best friend and business partner is from Texas. I know how you guys are!Gregg is good on fiscal stuff, yeah.
I find it hard to fathom that there are government paid stooges who will attack mostly women, but also I see that they are being paid to go into chat rooms and comments and make their slurs and attacks against conservatives.
Usually Michelle Malkin is good at updating her articles but so far she has dropped the ball on this one. I have no doubt that she is a true conservative but for her to stay silent on this is not good.
We aren't talking about gov't, we are talking about the MSM…
I don't give one flying, plague-ridden, urine-soaked rat's ass of a damn about making the left more or less hostile to conservatives. The MSM didn't drink the Kool-Aid, they MADE it. All I am asking is that we not act like the MSM and smear one side without the evidence to back it up. I have in no way disputed that an act of violence occurred, and if people had even bothered to actually read what I posted, they would see that I actually expect these thugs to eventually be tied to the protesters. But what I expect and what I can currently state as fact are two different things. And, at least as far as identifying these people goes and getting them arrested, their motives should be irrelevant. They assaulted a couple and should pay for it.
NO, I am not OK with that disparity, which was the point of my post. I just don't happen to think that disparity should be narrowed by us becoming like them instead of the other way around. I don't believe in sharing the wealth or the hypocrisy, thank you very much. To say we should act this way to get rid of that disparity is right on par with Obama wanting to narrow the disparity between the rich and the poor by making the rich less rich instead of the poor less poor. There is a right way and a wrong way to approach the problem.
I can only come up with three reasons why people missing the point of the post: 1) their paranoia is reaching a level requiring meds 2) they failed 5th grade reading comprehension or 3) they are willfully disregarding the very clear meaning of the post
That might be why I suggested the cops begin their search for the thugs with the protest group…
This is Terri, I was logged in on another user when I made the previous post
"This is the consequence of weakness. Ain't no government, police, or military superhero going to come save those that can't defend themselves. It's a government myth that any person can always benefit from the government, in every situation."
On this part at least, I agree with you. I was in EMS for several years, and anyone with any street smarts knows that the police only show up to identify the bodies. When the sh*t goes down, at best it will take the cops about 2 minutes to get there, which is usually about 90 seconds too late to save you if you are not sufficiently motivated to save yourself.
Terri is Sisquinanamook, I was posting from another username
Here's the thing, and why I think people are disagreeing with your reasoning. The MSM is going to ignore this story no matter what if we let them. If we don't push them to look into it, it will never be addressed at all. They will bury it and if a point comes where there is definitive proof that these people were targeted because of their political affiliation, the story will be deemed "too old" and continue to be ignored. The MSM never covered the man who had his finger bit off by a counter protester because it didn't fit the narrative. They don't mention that all of those frivolous law suits filed against Sarah Palin while she was in the governors office were thrown out because it doesn't fit the narrative. If we sit around and wait for the MSM to decide poor behavior by the left is worth covering we'll die of old age. If we don't push on getting coverage of stories like this, then we're part of the problem. This garbage happens more than any of us know because it is routinely ignored by the media and we're just as much to blame if we go all wishy-washy every time the issue comes up. We'll be wrong occasionally, but we'll be right more than not. I'm sure of it.
Two words for you: BOVINE SCATOLOGY. This was a politically-motivated attack inspired if not carried out by an anarchist commune in New Orleans which has been bragging about criminal activity for months.
New Orleans has a crime problem and a dysfunctional police force, but this is not run-of-the-mill crime.
One of the Left's angles on denying their savage attack on Allee Bautsch has been that Allee was just smiling and drunk in the post attack photo. View the photo and form your own opinion about both Allee's expression and the Left's character.

If there had been thousands of people standing around with camera-phones and camcorders, and not a single one got video evidence
Yes, funny how people trying to throw back the "where's the video" claim always seem to pick incidents that didn't involve thousands of people w/video cameras. Worse: they seem to think they're clever by doing so.
Now, that was funny!

The MSM isn't going to do the research. The guy's point is to make sure these people are who we say they are.
The Gov't (aka police/prosecutors) are the gospel to most people.
I fully agree with Salmon. Where is Bobby Jindal? Why isn't he speaking out? Is he afraid? Doesn't he have some bodyguards? His silence and cowardice in the face of these thugs tells me all I need to know about him.
The guy who flew that plan into the IRS building, Democrat, the woman who shot up her co-workers at a university, Democrat, one of Hutarees(sp), Democrat…. The lame blame stream media at their worst..
Can we just go ahead and call the MSM Minitrue already?
"Bautsch and Brown unpersons; replace with Democrats."
