“How’m I doin?’” he used to shout at all and sundry during his three terms as Mayor of the City of New York in the late seventies and the eighties. Ed Koch was a media favorite back in those days, the scourge of dog poop and a scrappy battler for decency back in the bad old “French Connection” era of graffiti and misery in the Big Apple.
Now, like the cranky old uncle at Thanksgiving, he just embarrasses them. Here’s his Hizzoner with a few characteristically Kochian words about Sarah Palin (ka-boom!) and our current POTUS:

"Plucky, perky and scares the hell out of me," and the interviewer seizes upon "perky" as the description she wants to discuss; there's everything wrong with the MSM in one brief exchange.
I see no contradiction between Koch's two descriptions of Palin, by the way. Someone can be smart and scary at the same time. In fact, wasn't he saying the same thing both times; i.e., that the left underestimates her at their peril.
Obama’s Worst Foreign-Policy Mistake

He castigated Israel at the United Nations but was silent about Hamas having launched 7,000 rockets from the Gaza Strip. His policy of “engagement” with rogue nations has been met with North Korean nuclear tests, missile launches and the sinking of a South Korean naval vessel, while Iran has accelerated its nuclear program, funded terrorists and armed Hezbollah with long-range missiles. He acceded to Russia’s No. 1 foreign policy objective, the abandonment of our Europe-based missile defense program, and obtained nothing whatsoever in return.
Despite all of this, the president’s New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (New-START) with Russia could be his worst foreign policy mistake yet. The treaty as submitted to the Senate should not be ratified.

Yep. The ole "censored" books fearmongering about Palin. Does anyone actually think Palin tried to "censor" books?
Maybe, she as so many parents, took issue with what constitutes "youth" books and brought it up. I did the same thing when a book my 12 year old could take out included graphic sexual content and drug use and was highlighted as a must read. I simply asked if it was appropriate to highlight that book in the pre-teen section. Does that mean I tried to censor a book????

Where is the flip-flop? He never said she was stupid. He never said he would vote for her. He complimented and disparaged her in both clips. He recognized her as an effective political force for whom he could not support. I thought he was rather consistent, if only a little more kind in the radio interview…

Ed Koch has always been a very smart and wise individual and if thats his opinion —I would lend all the credibility in the world to this man!—Unlike some "idiot" selling "Hope and change" hosted by a cast of bonafide idiots!
I got the same impression. Koch was trying to be (gasp) objective in seeing her appeal and to find common ground.

Yeah, I kinda noticed that awhile ago. That's one of the reasons I voted against the guy. I don't need blinding revelation from a paid political operative to figure it out. He dropped that same post on three Big sites at the same time and bolted. Spam is spam.
