It’s easy to make fun of Geraldo Rivera, but in this interview with the posturing radical Malik Zulu Shabazz he reaches back to the glory days of “Willowbrook,” filled with righteous indignation:
For those who’ve seen this movie before — back in the late sixties — Shabazz is (so to speak) a pale imitation of his fiery forebears, but still spouting the same tiresome, second-hand communist-inspired separatist resentment and hate that could only be expressed by someone who has never had any real obstacles put in his way. (He’s a lawyer, for crying out loud.) It’s an act, a sham, but a dangerous one, and Geraldo is right to call him out on it.
In case you’re interested, here’s what the real Black Panthers — led by Huey Newton and Bobby Seale — looked like back in the day:

1. Freedom and Self-determination
2. Full employment for all Black people
3 Restitution for slave labor and mass murder of Black people
4. Decent housing
5. Education to give Black people knowledge of self and expose the true history of American society
6. Exemption from military service for all Black men who should not be forced to defend a racist government
7. An immediate end to police brutality
8. Release from prison for all Black people because they have not received a fair and impartial trial
9. All Black people who are brought to trial to be tried by a jury of their peers from the Black community
10. Land, bread, housing, education, clothing, justice and peace. As a major political objective, a United Nations supervised plebiscite for Black Americans to determine their will as to their national destiny.

The Black Panthers were Communists in the 60s and they're Communists now.
The difference is, in the 60s, there was no Communist in the White House like it is now.
IMO, just another stunt, probably pre-planned between Rivera and Shabaaazzzz, to boost Rivera's dim ratings.
Sensationalism at it's best, on FOX no less. The time could have been used more productively airing clips of Shabaaaazzzz and other NBBP outrageous quotes.

Does anybody else find it funny at about 10:50 in the video when Geraldo Rivera gets tired of Shabazz's white oppression schtick and goes "Oh, stop with the "black" [comments]!!" as if Shabazz will see the error of this ploy and just discontinue playing his own race card in the interview? This man is a one trick pony with nothing else of substance to work with. He's not going to just "knock it off." I just found it hilarious that Geraldo expected this comment to find its target.
That's like interviewing a liberal and saying "Oh, stop with the "progressive tax rates for the wealthy' stuff!" Without it, their plans for society don't ever get off the ground.

Actually, I think Geraldo did well; he exposed the Fox viewers that may have been previously unaware of the NBPP and their actions to the radical platform they espouse. He had to provide rebuttal time to Shabazz as a quid pro quo for appearing.
I also was not a fan of Geraldo before this interview, but I have gained more respect for him simply for pinning Shabazz down on a number of statements, and forcing him to recant or disavow previous hate-mongering soundbites.
Just imagine if Larry King or Chris Matthews would have conducted the interview…

The NAACP reportedly is about to take up a resolution to condemn the Tea Party movement for "explicitly racist behavior."
The Kansas City Star reported that the organization plans to vote as early as Tuesday on the language at its annual convention in Kansas City. The resolution reportedly will call on "all people of good will to repudiate the racism of the white Tea Parties" and stand against the movement's attempt to "push our country back to the pre-civil rights era."
Tea Party groups have repeatedly denied allegations of racism. Gina Loudon, one of the founders of the St. Louis Tea Party, called the NAACP's charges untrue and said it was a "shame" the NAACP was going down that road.
"I can't believe that the Tea Party is even going to be put in a position of dignifying something like that," she said. "This is sad because this established organization is being used by the left."
She said Tea Partiers generally do all they can to give minority conservatives a platform.
According to the Kansas City Star, the NAACP resolution will accuse the groups of engaging in racist behavior by displaying signs "intended to degrade people of color generally and President Barack Obama specifically."
It will also accuse the activists of abusing black members of Congress — an apparent reference to an incident in March when Tea Party protesters allegedly hurled racial epithets at black lawmakers on Capitol Hill ahead of a health care vote. Tea Party members afterward challenged that account and no evidence was produced to show any racist actions.

Stop snioing at Geraldo, who is just being Geraldo — and doing what he does better than anyone else — and get to the point. Shabazz is, when his words are taken into account, a racist political leader who is on record as asking for hte murder of whites, who hates Jews because they are Jews, and who feels blacks are due freedom from responsibility because they are black.
Seems to me that they are already free from responsibility: if 75% of the mare born out of wedlock, and 52% of the violent criminals are black, and 25% of their adult males are felons and cannot vote, it can be suggested that they hold no responsibility.
Shabazz is nothing more than a rabble-rousing child. He could not function in a society that prizes logic over emotion, and which requires cooperation rather than confrontation.
Noe that he never claimed blacks were noble, hard-working, intelligent, or civilized: his claim is that they are victims. If there is any pride in the black world, Shabazz would be ostracized.

The worse mistake that white people ever made is bringing blacks over here. They are going to be forever a burden on society– they are not able to ever become productive in Africa, much less in America. There have been hundreds of thousands of whites murdered by blacks in the last decades– much higher numbers than the white people who murdered blacks in slavery. Trillions have been spent on social handout programs that have heavily disproportionately benefited blacks. Millions of white women have been raped, and our 600,000 white men died in the civil war to free blacks. No white person living today ever owned a slave, no black person in this country was ever a slave. Not all white people living her today are the decscendents of slaves, and not all black people were the descendents of slaves either. Many moved here freely after the slave days were over. Blacks need to get up to speed and quit playing victim for their own problems.
