The Washington Times reports the supposedly conservative U.K. government is going to continue Britain’s war on free speech (and Dr. Savage):

He’s still on Britain’s least-wanted list.
Talk radio host Michael Savage has waged a vigorous fight against the British government, hoping to have his name removed from a list of 16 “undesirables” banned from the country on May 5, 2009, by then British Home Secretary Jacqui Smith.
The list included Islamist terrorists, neo-Nazis and Russian gang members — and Mr. Savage says he’s still on the new version, despite his efforts to persuade British officials that his inclusion is unwarranted and unfair.
All governments are essentially amoral,” he told The Washington Times on Monday. “I had hopes but did not expect this ‘new’ UK government to restore sanity to Britain. They are still pandering to the Muslim masses. To continue to martyr me by including me on a list of known murderers and terrorists is bad enough but for the U.S. and Western media which considers itself ‘progressive’ to continue to ignore this outrage against freedom of speech is indicative that the media and governments are one and the same. This includes so-called conservatives. Has freedom of the press become greed-om of the press?” he concluded.
The British government described Mr. Savage as a “controversial daily radio host. Considered to be engaging in unacceptable behavior by seeking to provoke others to serious criminal acts and fostering hatred which might lead to inter-community violence.”
Prime Minister David Cameron has informed Mr. Savage that his name will remain on the banned list unless he “repudiates” currently unspecified broadcast statements that Britain “deemed a threat to public security.”

I guess Britain is not a "SavageNation"
Too bad for them..
Oh, they're just giving Savage more ammo to blast them with. Go Michael! Maybe he can get Nick Clegg to resign this time!
*Shrugs* England has never believed in freedom of speech quite as strongly as we do. This kind of ties into an interesting article at Big Peace.

I have no doubt it was the US government that asked the British to do this. Nobody in the UK ever even heard of Savage until this idiocy started. Anyway, look at all those greasy fish-n-chips, warm, flat beer and dreary weatther he's missing out on.
Well I can see why the progressives/liberals/Dems/RiNOs continue to point to the UK as a shining example of a government/society and medical care.
And we can also plainly see why the UK is seriously screwed up.
I read an article saying that the UK put Savage on the list to provide "balance". They did not want the list to have a majority of Muslims on it. Its all a bunch of PC BS!
Only those who do not listen to him will brand him as supporting violence, or racism, or 'yelling fire in a movie theater.' It simply isn't true. While he may be politically incorrect or unabashed, he isn't hateful against anything but evil, and he has never once mentioned or suggested or condoned violence. TO the contray, he has repeatedly avoided those suggestions.
It is amazing to me that every form of degenerate video pornography is tolerated under the guise of 'free speech', no matter the actual harm or depravity or offense to sensibly minded individuals, and every form of hate sppech is tolerated, so long as it is made by minorities against whites or christians, but there is no room for Michael Savage t o express simply traditionalist views.
and why would anyone want to go to Krapistann….. Britain, anyway?
Yet the UK still hasn't extradited Abdul Hamza
I have family in England and Ireland, you'd be surprised by the following Dr. Savage has in GB.
Not surprised…
he pounds the drum against the Muz invasion and the political appeasers..
To his credit, BTW….Can you believe he's not on in L.A…?…..?…….?…
Yep, look who's driving it off into the ocean.
Hey Frank and the folks at BigJournalism, STAY ON THIS STORY! This is about the survival of real First Amendment rights. If the Globalists can get both Labour and the Conservative governments of the U.K. to restrict such a basic personal liberty as travel becasue of someone's ideas, what is next?
You can do a great public service for the citizens of the US and all Western Democracies by exposing the implications of the ban of Dr. Savage by a country like the UK. Look in to the history of this case. It is a blockbuster! If you think any of us are exempt from the designs to stifle and intiimidate, I know you are greatly mistaken.
You're right, maybe this will help you get that negative rating back in to the plus.
Anyway, I like Mike and Levin and Hewitt etc,.. Different flavors, but all ice cream is good.. Savage is the antithesis of Jesse Ventura, loud, obnoxious and well intentioned. Did the UK ban Ventura? They should if they wish to remain consistent.
Let's face it, Savage is a nut, but a well-intentioned crazy-perfessor and I love to listen to his show. His only mistake is that he's too anti-pc for MSM conditioned listener's to digest. That is his only real fault. Just like an uncle at the dinner table though, you can't help but listen and taste those juicy bits of common sense and wisdom he displays in his rhetoric.
I enjoy him quite a bit. The man has balls and does not water down his views. I agree with him quite and disagree with him on only a couple things. I wish he had a show on Fox.
England has been over-run by Muslim Extremists that now silence it's critics. The fox -[Islam], needs to be run out of the hen-house. .
I rather think Michael Savage is enjoying this, a rich opportunity to skewer those bone-heads. I suspect if they removed their ban he wouldn't have much reason to visit anyway – who needs 'em. I call it a badge of honor, Mr. Savage.
