Last weekend, I had the privilege of attending the "Restoring Honor" rally in Washington, D.C. While I'm proud to be an American each and every day, I was especially proud on that day. The feeling I had being amongst so many people that love and appreciate the blessings...

When this Wiki-Leaks madness first hit the media, I had a nagging suspicion that Comrade Obama was either behind this or knew about it. I was right. This despicable, clueless, incompetent, narcissistic meat-head should be IMPEACHED for dereliction of duty and failure to uphold his oath of office AND the leakers should be arrested for treason, tried and executed if found guilty! They are traitorous MAGGOTS.
So, let me get this straight: At around the same time the congress is cutting funding for the troops, the White House is doing nothing while security-sensitive documents are released? Did they at LEAST move military people out of harms way that could have been harmed by the release of these documents?
They need to try harder to pull Obama away from his partying…
Julian Assange (WikiLeaks) and PFC Bradley Manning (the leaker) should spend the rest of their lives in a Federal Prison being “turned-out” for cigarettes by their fellow inmates.
All the documents are from when Bush was in office. Obama new this was happening and will use it as an exit stragey. He will put all the blame on Bush (I kinow, what else is new) and pull out the troops to please his far-left base.
What can we expect from a "mongrel" President that thinks it is a "thorn in his side" to have sign letters to send to family members that had sons and daughters die in war, serving this country. (Don't get mad at me for this comment the President said and commented in response of questions on The View today). Get the man a tele-prompter and questions in advance
Amazing, the White House knew Afghani's that had helped us would be exposed and didn't care. How do these people sleep at night?
Being that this A-stan incursion is being "fought" so throughly incompetently, the Moron-in-Chief is definitely using the release of the docs as a reason to adhere to the July 2011 end date.
We should not get involved in any more military actions again until the mindset is changed…
In war, it's one thing to be respected, and another to be feared… We are neither in the "Rockpile"
That's the problem, Drifter,
We and they ARE engaged…..on 9/12 everyone in America was ENGAGED. But like every other guerrilla war, these things are barely winnable and it takes politicians being willin to basically butt out and give the military what they need. Well you know THATS never ever gonna happen….so the slow downward spiral begins. The years pass and people are what they are, congress gets tired, taxpayers get tired, no real wins are evident, even Iraq could frikkin blow up tomorrow STILL and presidents come and go and it's just built in Viet Nam. Can't be any other way.
That said, I'm not opposed to Intel and drones, air strikes, missle strikes as a containment action when and if the situation calls for it….but the enemy in these cases always sets up shop in high civilian population areas cutting that one off at the legs. We just WILL NOT FIGHT A WAR. We fight PR AND WE DO IT PC. No president intends to wake up and learn we've bombed an entire village or city to wipe out a huge band of insurgents who will not leave but use the cover for ops that get Americans killed for nothing. Like fightin with one hand tied behind our back and duct tape on our eyes.
Given that inevitable reality….that not matter what guerrilla warfare is always ugly, innocents are the first and usually highest casualties, kidnappings and dirty fighting is a STRATEGIC PLAN……
you are right. We should STUDY WAR NO MORE. At least not a ground war. Air strikes and stuff, yeh. But no more stormin the castle for us. We got no stomach for that. We like to kill folks the modern way…..politely….with forewarning…ask them nicely to please not shoot us….mirandize them….BS.
Patton would throw UP if he saw the way wars are managed today. Hell…he threw up durin the taking of Berlin, furious he had to let the Russians do it. He and Ike went round and round durin that war. Ike, ever the diplomat, the politician, and Patton the Genghis Khan of America.
I'm hoping he'll bring our kids home. He has no will to win, he has no intention of letting our soldiers do what it takes to win, and after all the lives lost, 10 minutes after we're gone…Karzi will kiss the Taliban's ass and invite them back home to do exactly what they did before. What a frikkin waste.
Losing is one thing.
Lost opportunity is another
But squandering lives for politics….unforgivable. Bring'em home.
Here's the UK Times article (via The Australian) on the same subject where the weasel repeats the excuse that the White House vetted his dump.

Agreed, kindheartedly. Good post texasstomp. Another American life should not be wasted in Trashcanistan or any other land without direction and leadership… of which it is plain to see that this administration can not provide. Its over. Those who will be hardest hit will be( as always ) those that seek freedom and those who fight for it. Just a pawn on the administrations chess board these freedom loving souls, Godspeed to all that have fought evil before, now, and in the future. We will always stand with you.
Amen, ltbs,
We must honor and PROTECT our servicemen and women. They give their lives for us. How dare we ask them to throw their gift away for less than nothing. They deserve a real CIC or to come home. This is just entering meat grinder territory. Dishonorable in the extreme and traitorous to many. Shameful to most on both sides of this issue.
I just hope we can get out on Obama's time table and something "politically expedient" callin for a tough war commander role doesn't prevent their ordered withdrawal schedule. That would be one straw too many in my book.
It would appear that BO now has a legitimate alibi to leave Afghanistan since it has become known as his war. Remember he did promise to end the conflict in his election run in 2008. However, It might be due more to the fact elections are coming in Nov., and this would give the dims something to crow about.
This regime hates our military, why would they care what happens to them?
My grandson and four of his friends are Marine recruits[ three of the young men have already left for bootcamp, my grandson leaves next week]. It saddens me that they will serve under this monster. God please protect our military, their lives mean nothing to 'the one'.
Screw the commie/socialist regime. Invest in lead – it may be more valuable than gold in the future. Our sons & daughters are being killed to defend a population that – thanks to this regime – is being pissed off almost daily thanks to our mooslim in chief, jihadi lover.
Barry – you will rot in hell.
I would not doubt Obama knew well beforehand. It fits right into his modus operandum. Impeachment is the only course and his riotous supporters can pound sand and cry racism till they are blue in the face.
While I'd agree that we can't fight a war with leadership that doesn't have the stomach for it, I also believe we should take our commitments seriously. We rightfully earned a reputation for ditching out every time we got a bloody nose. Our enemies knew that they might suffer a 100 to 1 casualty ratio but they could still win. If we achieve victory in Iraq and Afghanistan that will have changed for a generation. I do feel that in the future we should think very carefully about nation building. If it becomes necessary to take out a regime in the future we need a clear and quick exit plan so that we don't get bogged down into a war of attrition. Whoever wins in Afghanistan will be the side that gives up last and it probably won't be us. But if we do prevail in Afghanistan then the terrorists will flee to Somalia. And if we invade Somalia and build a democracy there they will flee to another country. There is no endgame. I'm not saying I have the answer, but it would be a shame to let the sacrifice of all those servicemen and their families go to waste. I just hope we have a better plan next time.
According to a report to Shep Smith by (in-field reporter) on Fox, Wikileaks claimed they asked the White House VIA the NY TIMES to vet the documents and redact anything that could endanger anyone. I think heads (figuratively speaking) should roll on this one, from any chain-of-command cogs that allowed someone like Manning to access these documents and this information, right up to all personnel in the WH who should've, but didn't, take measures to halt or limit the damage.
back in the day, when Britain was a full ally [before we pissed all over them] they would've helped us get ass-anger into custody. One can only hope someone within Scotland Yard would show such moxie now …
[!]
When GB was a full ally [i.e. before zero pissed all over them] they would have helped us take ass-anger into custody. We can only hope there is someone in Scotland Yard with such moxie today [!]
stupid intensedebate! sorry for the double post …
At least one of them might pay for the privilege. If guilty , I would like a public hanging.
The Valerie Plame media assault on the Bush Admin and the failure to mention Armitage as the source rather than Libby as opposed to the near shielding of Manning and the other guy is interesting.
