President Obama has enough stress to last a lifetime… and as he blows out his birthday candles, war, recession and a giant oil spill won’t magically disappear.
But I hope he’s able to take a break tonight, forget his troubles and spend time doing something he loves.

The damage that obamunist has caused this country will stress millions of lives throughout their lifetimes.

The presidency has grown too big and complicated for one man to handle.
The problems we face are systemic and intractable, and you can't possible hope to solve them, you can only manage them.
Replace Barack Obama with James Earl Carter, and you pretty much have the big media and the Democratic talking points from the summer of 1980, with the excuses being directed towards telling voters they couldn't possibly hope to do better than Carter (well, maybe if Teddy hadn't screwed up his campaign that winter and we could have gotten an even further left Democratic nominee), so why should voters even think about putting a dangerous, moronic, evil, blow-up-the-world-five-minutes-after-taking-office lunatic like Ronald Reagan in the White House.
Expect to be hearing more excuses like the one Katie was making over the next 27 months, and by the end the odds are they'll be saying Obama's job now is tougher than any president has ever faced in U.S. history.
More golf, more parties with celebs, more fund raisers with lobbyists, more date nights, more vacations, more sporting events. Is that what the idiot pixie couric is advocating? Maybe she thinks that BHO should learn how to play a fiddle also……
I think it would be interesting to go back and look at how previous presidents were treated as their birthdays came around. It could go back maybe as far as the 80's, but then again I'm not sure that this would have been the kind of thing on the evening news then. Maybe the 90's?
It's real hard to feel sorry for someon who brings trouble upon themselves. He wanted the job knowing all that goes with it. It's hard enough being in the position on a good day, the you go and heap more crap on top of all that goes on normally and expect people to fell sorry for you.

If you're a world leader, you're going to have tons of people looking at you and scrutinizing your every move. Even supposing you don't care about other people's opinions, there's still the threat of assassination. Because of the threat of assassination, you can't just go for a walk in a public park whenever you feel like it. Even theoretically absolute leaders (the Tsars of Russia, for example) couldn't just do whatever they wanted. They had advisers, ministers and often their own relatives in their face telling them how to run everything.
It was The Today Show…shows how forgettable she was doesn't it?
As factcheck.org points out, no US president every truly goes on vacation, if by that you mean "getting away from it all." They're still on call, still briefed about happenings and still would probably have to return to the White House if say, there was another terrorist attack.
