The Politically Correct Boycott Corp is on the march again! If the show doesn’t fit within your political agenda, then just boycott it and try to “shut up dissent.” According to the Washington Post, around two hundred companies are now boycotting Glenn Beck.
When a journalist who gets great ratings is being attacked for doing what he does (as in the case of Glenn Beck) by those who scream about Freedom of Speech and high journalism, it’s like they have an “I’m with Stupid” tattoo punched into their foreheads. Aren’t progressives the same people who think it is okay to decry every alleged “impropriety” by conservatives while hiding behind the guise of “free speech” for themselves? Is it somehow less appropriate for Glenn Beck to espouse his opinions? Why? Because he might be onto something, and his ratings are high?
Newsflash! Beck is but a reflection of an entire mass of people who believe what he has the platform to say! They aren’t going away. In fact, they are growing in spades!
Fox News executives know that if they let advertisers bully them into booting Beck, he will get another job, and advertisers will next be pressured to abandon O’Reilly or Hannity to try to censor them. Why would they make such a self-defeating, bad business decision?
Liberal companies are all upset because Beck “called Obama a racist” and progressivism “a cancer.” Though it bears no comparison to what less successful journalists have said about Palin, Bush, and other conservative icons and their families, it does beg a question—who decided they get to decide what is appropriate? Moreover, if they make Beck go away do they really believe his followers will just go back to their political obscurity? He speaks for millions!
Why can’t the crybaby liberals who are so used to having it their way for so long realize that times have changed? If you take away our mouthpiece, more of us will rise up and find platforms to say what Beck was saying. If you take Beck away, he becomes more of a hero to those who sense a therapeutic affect when tuning into his show. And if you pull your product from advertising, they stop buying your product.

At least they are consistent. They boycotted John Mackey of Whole Foods because he publicly expressed his opposition to elements of Obamacare last year. So free-market loving patriots did what they could do and responded with a BUYcott, spending 50,000 dollars in one night at one store in St. Louis, Missouri. The idea spread all over the country, and Whole Foods stock went up.
On the other hand, if Apple and the other 199 notable companies take exception to a journalist as popular as Beck, on a station as powerful as Fox News, they may not fare so well.
Will the Tea Party launch a BUYcott of Beck and the already popular Fox News? They just might! If conservatives built the Fox News that is dominating now by default, can you imagine what they could do if they put in a little effort? Did you see the crowds at last weekend’s Tea Parties? Now imagine that they become the network and journalistic “king makers.”
With Oprah tanking and all networks except Fox News battling for ratings and audiences, maybe Apple ought to consider buying Beck his own network for those who think Fox News gets a little squishy now and then? They could call it BeckNet, and they could have sole rights to advertise on their station. That might be the best marketing tack they could take. If not, conservatives will probably be content to look ahead to the scent of rotting apples wafting through the newly renovated office suite of Mr. Beck, while he opens his computer with a boyish grin and sells a million PC’s that day. Which computer maker’s pitchman will look like an inept geek then?

Glenn Beck talks about the warnings of our history but the left doesn't want you to understand those warnings so their solution is to "shoot the messenger" in the name of "fairness"…
What a load of hockey doo!
Two words….Boycott Apple!
Algore is on the board of directors of Apple. So are those leftist bastards from Google and oh yes, Steveo himself is a committed Communist. I find it an example of irony of epic proportions, by the way, that a Communist only succeeded by wholeheartedly embracing capitalism.
My point is, though, this isn't just a company blindly distancing itself from Beck – this is Apple taking an active role in slapping down Beck.
We call them road apples here! It think it fits!
Excellent post as always, Dr Loudon, and you are right – Apple will only lose on this gambit to silence Glenn Beck…
…one point, however – you refer to Beck as a "journalist" – I don't think he would claim so – Radio/TV Commentator, Pundit, or Political/Cultural Observer are more accurate, I believe…
I don't understand what the fuss is about regarding Beck's comments. Obama IS a racist; we have seen it demonstrated in the church he attended for 20 yrs, in his complicity in allowing Eric Holder's DOJ to let voter intimidation by Black Panthers slide, in a judgement that Cambridge cops were the ones "act(ing) stupidly", and more!
As for Progressivism being a "cancer", that is true as well. There are countless historical examples and present ones demonstrating how Progressivism destroys family units, promotes social, moral and economic degeneracy, and even leads to genocide.
Jobs may not LIKE the truth, but to boycott against one who speaks it is a sign of immaturity. I had considered replacing my 10-yr old PC with an Apple product, but I will think again.
Good piece with one (1) exception: Glen Beck is NOT a "journalist". He has admitted to not being a "journalist" on his program. He is what Bill O'Reilly calls "everyman".
Other than that, good work on the story Dr. Loudon.
Let's boycott these companies then, tit for tat.
"I find it an example of irony of epic proportions, by the way, that a Communist only succeeded by wholeheartedly embracing capitalism." … which is the reason "red herring" should be a dietary staple for all of us. Capitalism, in some way or another, is always at the root of wealth. Illiberals/Regressives/Secular-statists almost invariably gravitate toward careers that are siphons of wealth from the capitalist system. Where do these people think wealth comes from ('Sorry about the dangling prepostion)? That they continue to get away with saying things that give the impression that wealth and materiality don't come from real people making real things is the biggest red herring there is.
I wish I could boycott them but I've never seen the logic of buying their computers, and the IPOD is way over priced…
LOL
So Mr Jobs wants to boycott Fox, as a business man why would he tell better than half of the consumers in America he thinks they are stupid, but please buy my product. This piece came out as I was looking to buy a IPOD for my grandson. Sorry Apple but you are no longer a option. I may spend more and get less but my money will not be used by Jobs to support his Socialist friends.
And Steve Jobs will cry all the way to the bank because of the sale that he lost to you. Or maybe not. He'll be too busy helping those new iPads getting out the door to even notice.
Right-wingers like you don't understand the difference between First Amendment protect speech and hate speech. Beck engages in hate speech. He has enough of an audience for his garbage to need Apple anyhow. Thankfully, Steve Jobs and Apple have integrity.
I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on Apple gear over the past 25 years and have sent 100,00's of thousands of dollars their way in business. Steve Job's would be smart to sit this one out because I'm conservative and I vote with my wallet and my companies budget. No Steve that is not a threat, it is a promise!!!!
I'm not a Beck fan or viewer but I wholeheartedly believe in his constitutional protected right to say what he wants.
If CNN/Cooper get's to trash G.W. Bush for 8 years then Fox/Beck gets to trash Obama for as long he is the POTUS.
Apple would be wise to stay out of the political fray and sell their gear to all. Instead of pissing off conservatives who will take their business to DELL and other companies willing to keep their mouths shut and cash registers ringing.

100% right on with that point, he says it during nearly every show and he makes it clear he is NOT a journalist and that he speaks to the history of mankind as a warning not as "prophecy" as the loony left likes to claim!
I'm so tired of him being ripped on for bringing history to the forefront of every one of his shows.
Even when he can provide video/audio of the extremism of the powers that be they rant about context without regard for the message of the words when they are exposed for all to see…
I have one question for the "**president"…
Why are there so many self avowed socialists and Marxists surrounding you…?
Mr "O", you said; "Judge me by the people I surround myself with and you will see the truth of my vision for America..", is this no longer the case or did you really mean for us to never inquire…?
You can't have it both ways Mr "O" and you need to come clean or suffer the wrath of the American voting populace in November of this year!
I think the government ought to make Apple advertise their products on Beck! And the band Muse needs to take back what they said about Glenn, and dedicate their next record to him. We need to rally to make sure that Glenn Beck still has a forum to tell us the real honest truth. I say we all put at least a ten-dollar bill in an envelope and mail it to him right now! He will make much better use of the money, and hey, it's only ten dollars.
"I find it an example of irony of epic proportions, by the way, that a Communist only succeeded by wholeheartedly embracing capitalism."
Unfortunately, the success of American capitalism has made it possible for socialism, communism, and even islamism to survive all over the planet.
If European countries had to pay for their own defense, none of their socialist programs would have evolved or survived. If America didn't purchase so much middle eastern oil, the threat of islamic terrorism would be reduced to stone age attacks of rocks and sticks. And if America hadn't been purchasing cheap products from China, even they would still be a debtor nation, posing no existential threat to anyone.
I love American capitalism, but we need an entirely new management team to make decisions concerning our success. Both in government, as well as industry.
As a former radio guy myself, I have a lot of respect for what Beck has been able to achieve and heap kudos where kudos are deserved, but isn't it a bit of a stretch to call Glenn a journalist? Doesn't doing so make the whole objectivity-in-journalism argument an ouroboros act of futility?
I like the guy. He's a bit over the top at times, but all in all, I'm on board with exposing progressivism for what it really is. This seems to be the tact he's taking going forward and thanks to him for that. Could he be considered a radio/video essayist? Journalism, at least in the mind of this simpleton (ie yours truly), should still worship at the alter of objectivity as much as possible.
Progressives are children. I will never even look at another Apple product again. I have something most of Job's beloved lefties don't have, enough money to buy his over priced crap. Away with this fool.
"Right-wingers like you don't understand the difference between First Amendment protect speech and hate speech."
No, idiot left-wing totalitarians don't understand that there is NO such distinction. I defy you to find *any* jurisprudence supporting the concept of a "hate speech exception" to the First Amendment. There isn't one.
Hell, even your idol Chomsky recognized that "If you don't believe in free speech for people you despise, you don't believe in it at all."
I began boycotting all Proctor and Gamble (Charmin, Crest, Zest, Cascade, Tide, Gain, dozens of other brands), Berkshire Hathaway (Dairy Queen, GEICO, Fruit of the Loom, RC Willey, Sees, Candies, Benjamin Moore Paints), and ConAgra Foods (Chef Boyardee, Hunts, Peter Pan, PAM, Manwich, Wesson, dozens of others) products last year when they began their initial Beck boycott. I can happily say I haven't purchased ANY of their products during that time.
I am proof that its easy to live without THEM. Can they live without US? Beck has 10 million radio listeners, and 3.5 million TV viewers. On each of these companies' corporate websites, they have listed hundreds of their brand names. Just print them out and take them with you to the grocery store and distribute them to your friends and ask them to participate too. Buy their competitor products instead.
Then, send another copy of those product lists to the CEO and let them know that we, our friends, and neighbors, are ceasing all purchases of their products. Most importantly, DO it! Don't just say it!
It is time to fight back against the forces of tyranny and their complicit companies! The best way to fight is with our Dollars and spending!
On one hand, this blatant political stand disappoints me. OTOH – well, I'm in the computer Biz. I'm not going to pay extra in time and enjoyment to work with gear that doesn't work the way I need it to – otherwise I'd have ditched Google's services a loooong time ago.
I may buy their products with gritted teeth, but I'm buying them because they are my preferred tools, not because I wish to otherwise support the company.
Michael Jordan recognized that "Republicans buy sneakers too." Jobs, unfortunately, is brilliant but nonetheless a megalomaniac narcissist. (Like the Dear Leader, but without the 'brilliant' part).
Yes, you can probably pick up a Commodore64 for short money on the Ebay.
You obviously don't listen to Glenn Beck or you would know how absurd your statement is. I've never heard Glenn Beck speak a word of hate. The only hate here — is YOURS!
Talk about "stuck on stupid"! They need to publicize the boycott list so we can boycott. Beck may be a little clownish but he does make a lot of sense. No wonder the democrats hate him and want to silence him. Keep them poor, ignorant, and angry and they'll solidify their democrat voting base.

Big surprise right? C'mon, the elite Jobs with his over bloated stock is going to enter the ring of PC?
is there 1 single left winger that has a lick of sense? No need to worry really, noone is going to have any cash left over to buy a damn thing beyond what is necessary -
I think that Beck at this point has more journalistic integrity than NYT and WP combined.
i would like for a jouralist to confront steve jobs about how he stole a place in line, from a REAL resident of tennessee, for a transplant. steve jobs was dying. you remeber that? the waiting line for translant was too long in calif, where he lives. he leased a residence in tennessee wher the waiting list is shorter. he used his millions to move to the front of the transplant. not one jounalist has EVER confronted this communist about this.
As you requested, the list of the companies boycotting beck:
Source website: http://www.stopbeck.com

[...] Dr. Gina Loudin at Big Journalism: Hey, Steve Jobs — Boycott Beck At Your Own Peril. She assumes that what his anonymous sources told Howard Kurtz is [...]
The only apple I have is grown on a tree. I have no use for Apple, for a long time now, because of the political agenda of the company. Has a historian, I have to say that Beck gets his historical viewpoints right on the money 99% (since no one is perfect, even the god-king wannabe Obama) And the added bonus, he does it with a smile. ;0)
The original name of Fascism was Corporatism. Benito change it 'cause of the symbolism of the fasces bound together. Government, business, labor.
OB 2 The loss of my purchase will be of no concern to Mr. Jobs. But I will feel a great satisfaction in not supporting his Socialist leanings, as will many others, which of course was the point of my post. Lastly If I did not understand the difference between protected speech and hate speech, my post would have been far more colorful, maybe along the line of Reverend Wright.
Here's a couple if you buy auto insurance:
Progressive Insurance: Besides being party to the Boycott Beck campaign, Chairman Peter Lewis is one of the the biggest donors to the Democrats and their associated groups.
GEICO: Part of the Berkshire-Hathaway umbrella of companies. Of course, that means none other that Warren "I don't pay enough taxes" Buffet.
I suggest that people vote with their money and take their business elsewhere. And when the ask you why, tell them "Your boss is an a**hole."
I think celebrities and major corporations such as Apple should keep their political views to themselves, or at least not make it so publicly known. I understand and believe in the whole 1st ammendment but when it comes to your bank account…………speak at your own expense.
You can add PMS-NBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC "news"….
What is Beck saying that isn't True??? These liberal progressive dummies just attack the people trying to expose their games. Never any specifics or facts, just Alinsky tactics!
Does anyone have a list of the companies who are boycotting him so we can boycott them!
Don't buy the iPad. Wait for the Microsoft Courier.
http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/05/microsofts-cou...
Time for all conservatives who have Macs to consider picking up a copy of Windows 7 for Dummies and planning their next computer purchase as a PC. (Speaking as a professional techie… I'll tell you that while VISTA was a REAL dog… Win7 seems like a stable and formidable platform!)
By the way, Macs are NOT immune to malware as many Apple customers seem to believe. They were less a TARGET of malicious coders… because they formerly had so little market share. As Macs became increasingly popular, malware was written to exploit Mac OS vulnerabilities (which DID exist). SECURITY is not a reason to prefer Mac over PC.
I agree – Beck isn't a journalist. Even Beck says he isn't a journalist. He calls himself an opinion guy, which is exactly what he is. I like the guy (even though he can go a little overboard with the theatrics) and think the proof that he's doing a good job in exposing the progressives lies in the fact that they're working so hard to discredit him.
I know this will be tough for you to understand.
"Hate speech" and "Speech I hate" are not the same thing.
I just talked to public relations at Apple. The operator told me that Apple has not announced boycott of Fox news, but she didn't deny that they might do it. She also said alot of people had called about this.
Apple Public Relations
(408) 974-2042
I already do – I can't afford their stuff anyway.
The second revolutionary war is coming.
We were planning purchase of 2 laptops and PC for college home this spring and were looking to go Apple. That won't be happening now. I do not need product vendors telling me what I and my family can choose to listen/watch. Their attempt to control the message is anti American (and anit trust laws as they seek to control the market by colusion) but, then isn't just about everything that we are hearing from this new controlling idealogy? Glen Beck is educating. I leave it up to you to decide if it is good or bad. We learn both ways, which is why you can get copies of Hitler and Mao edicts at the local library. I really resent their control freak behavior and it is especially hard to swallow when they tell me its for my own good. I am making an individual personal decision to purchase elsewhere. If they want to do that with their advertising dollars, so be it, but don't think we don't see the fraud behind that decision. We see you quite clearly and say "No thanks I'll choose what I hear/read/think for myself."
I can't boycott Apple. They make the best computers in the world and I've got several.
However, that doesn't keep me from using their computers to serve the conservative purpose and turn all this around on them! A lot of Beck fans use Macs and Steve better understand that.
To progressives, capitalism is OK as long as the profit goes to targeted redistribution – taking money from non-progressives.
Definition of hate speech: Something that a liberal doesn't agree with.
Was it hate speech when Bill Maher agonized over that fact that it wasn't Beck killed by the pentagon shooter? Was it hate speech when John Kerry hinted on Maher's program about Killing Bush? Was the first amendment enacted to protect polite, uncontroversial speech? If John McCain had attended a church for 20 years decrying the evils of the black man, would you have strenuously objected to someone characterizing him as a racist?
Why do I waste my time? People like Oberon123 are beyond help. Keep whistling past the graveyard idiot.
Two hundred companies want to boycott Beck heh. That just tells me he's doing something right. The American Indians of old believed that their greatness as warriors was judged by the number and stature of their enemies. Seems to me that Beck is on his way to having songs sung about him. Keep Punching Brother Beck. You've got Them rattled.
I say boycott Apple and Steve jobs, he's always been a dolt anyway. He ought to be thrilled someone defends the principles of the country that allowed him the opportunity to become extremely wealthy…guess he doesn't want others to have the same opportunities he was afforded.
My only regret is that a list of the boycotting companies wa snot published so I could avoid the stink of actually visiting the website P.C.B.C. to find out.
I propose that all the CEO's (and upper management) that subscribe to the socialist/communist ideology set their compensation to the US median standard (roughly $56K)…live in a house that is median value for their area and have a max of 2 cars…..
as for the rest of the money that they currently have, it should either be given immediately to the US government or at least just handed to to other subjects of the realm with less income….WAIT!!!…that'll never happen….that commie/socialist thing kinda sucks, in a pragmatic view…. huh!!!!
how you can be wealthy and support communism/socialism, as well as keep your wealth and money has baffled me
…..can somebody explain it?
capitalism/freedom has NO such hypocrisy….I made it, I can do with it as I please
If you look on the SEIU website you will see that they have called out to all Glenn Beck advertisers to cancel their ads. Good old SEIU!
From the SEIU Website:
Glenn Beck and Republican Violence
Tea Party protesters shouting the n-word at Congressman and civil rights icon John Lewis. Death threats left on the phones of Democrats who voted for health care reform. We've had enough–have you? Please sign our letter to Beck's advertisers asking them to stop supporting his dangerous brand of crazy.
Good article Dr. Loudon, I was not aware of this.
Time for you to launch a Boycott Apple campaign and/or Buy Blackberry (or whomever.)
I was considering an iphone this year……….NOT now.
http://www.stopbeck.com
I told my wife yesterday we will not be buying Apple products. We were considering the I Phone and I Pad. No longer.
They have the right to advertise where they wish. We have the right to spend where we wish. Beck is a humble man who fights with the facts and with history. His message is peace, civil disobedience and prayer. The left's problem with Beck is specifically that–God. If God is real, that means we're accountable to Him and can't just run around doing what we want. Tell that to a liberal, you'll see rage.
I encourage everyone who supports Glenn to support him with your wallet. Google the lists of advertisers who've caved to liberal harrassment. Let them know your views as you see fit.
God guide us all.
Plunky dunks!!!
And buy what? Windows? Are you so uninformed as to think Bill Gates is any more conservative than Steve Jobs? There isn't a conservative choice in the computer market.
There's only a choice between computers that work really well (Apple) and Windows computers that can't seem to execute what Apple was doing flawlessly years ago; between computers with security problems that make them unusable (Windows) and computers that not only let you work, but also don't clog the internet with spambots created on Windows machines.
Glen Beck is a preening, arrogant idiot who does more harm as a spokesman for conservative positions.
even mentioning the concept of "hate speech" shows your contempt for the very idea of freedom of speech. Once you embrace the idea that only approved speech is protected, then the entire idea of freedom of speech is lost.
For me, a computer has always been a tool, not a fashion statement.
I know, he's pretty scary, telling the truth and everything………….just keep following your idiots
Hate to tell you, but Apple don't sell to 100% of the PC market. They work extremely well and are overpriced as a result. And Apple are quite entitled to advertise where the hell they want.
This will bite them on the ass, but isn't this the freedom we want? For companies to choose who to advertise with and for us to make informed decisions? Shouldn't the american people be free to think "what's more important to me – Apple's politics or their products?"?
I will not buy anything Apple and I WILL keep watching Glenn Beck and spreading the Gosple of how great an American he is… That is MY Right for now but the Communist Left in the Democrat party is trying hard to take that away…
If Apple does boycott Beck, make sure that the next time you go to one of their stores that you carry some really strong magnets in your pockets.
"Right-wingers like you don't understand the difference between First Amendment protect speech and hate speech."
Chuckling my @ss off here Obie, I'm sure what ya meant to say was YOU PEOPLE. Ya know Ob, YOU PEOPLE have worn out the whole haters thing. I for one am not intimidated by being called a hater, a racist, or any of the other smear names you crazy folks try stickering my forehead with in the hopes that I will retreat in fear of humility. In the past, many of us just avoided speaking up because we had lives to lead, children to feed, and other responsibilities and obligations to attend to. It has become apparent to many of us now that we have been too lax in thinking that things would all work out somehow without having to address each barking dog along our way in life.
Well….we screwed up. Time has come to stand up or move aside, the dogs aren't just barking, they're starting to bite. And now we must protect our children and loved ones from the pack of menacing dogs. So bark away my sorry @ss communist idea-log, I for one am not going to turn and take a different route because of your howling.
Have a nice day~!
Who exactly defines what is hate speech?
Hey Steve J.(Apple)
As a creative professional (Art director/Graphic designer/Illustrator) with over 25 years in the business I have used every thing you have produced going back to system 7. Currently I have 10 different mac configurations in my operation. Fortunately I WONT be upgrading any time soon as you lost me as a client when Al Gore became one of your board of directors. This just confirm my opinion. When are you going to learn to leave your politics OUT of your products? Oh and by the way we have Glenn on at 5:00 in the shop EVERY DAY. Also you might note that ALL Adobe products run just fine on Windows based computers. Just say'n.
Make no mistake – this is not about being against Glen Beck -but they are radically against the truth being allowed to be heard -for that, these corporations and their mouthpieces need to be attacked (verbally only) they need to be called what they are – people (corps don't speak) who are dead set against the ivery ideas of our foundations and the freedom of citizens to be irritating because they expose your lies.
Only despots, dictators and sons of Satan fear the truth and they are in our midsts and need to be attacked with the truth and called what they are and their motives exposed for the harm they seek to do to America, (and as Glen would remind us) and Nature's God!.
Repost this where ever you can! If death threats, and vile language were actually made to Democrats there would have been more arrests dont cha think? Seems Cantor was the only 1 with an actual death threat seeing there was only one arrest. Tell all your friends about "Agent Provocatuer" (Michael Walsh had a great piece on BIGJOURNALISM and know that alot of these claims may be true but it is SEIU and other organizations making these calls to Democrats so the MSM can run with it.
I really do like my iMac a lot and Apple's customer service is excellent. This is a huge disappointment for me.
Glen Beck is NOT a "journalist". He has admitted to not being a "journalist" on his program. He is what Bill O'Reilly calls "everyman".
And that, fellow wiseacres, is why the Corporation for Public Broadcasting is ensuring that ONLY "journalists" are to be hired for their "Local Journalism Centers". We taxpayers are initially kicking in ten million dollars to hire 50 of these paragons to preach the gospel to the anointed. NPR and PBS stations in each region will collaborate on covering key issues, including immigration, agribusiness, the economy and health care. But heaven forfend that any sort of 'everyman' be allowed on their sacred microphones – they might diverge from Steve Jobs' Party Line.
Apple might want to check the tv ratings and compare Fox News/Beck with that of CNN or MSNBC/any mouthpiece.
Money talks, and CNN/MSNBC are getting their butts kicked by Fox News.
Glenn Beck has an "ongoing news" commentary program. We like his style. He is a breath of honest fresh air in a polluted political environment. The sponsors have it all wrong. Without Glenn and his refreshing style, thousands of people would not be aware of what is really transpiring in the USA. It would be a travesty to close his program down. Freedom of speech is something we all cherish and Glenn has educated so many people about the Constitution, and about how some of the current members of government are pushing their progressive agenda. Glenn speaks for the people by a wide margin. He is a credit to FOX NEWS. The sponsors should not be boycotting freedom of speech. It only makes them look as though they do not believe in it. Boycott the sponsor's products unless they wise up! Glenn Beck has our vote and we are dedicated viewers. Also Hannity and O'Reilly! Truth is truth and needs to be out there.
Still need proof of everything you speak of, and alas………….there is none…………whatever company boycotts Beck, I will boycott them, they will not tell me what/who to listen to……………………….
http://www.stopbeck.com "Home of the Stop Glenn Beck Boycott"
I've said from the start that Steve Jobs' successes (iPod then iPhone) were due more to luck and style, rather than any competence in his leadership. This boycott further reinforces that belief.
Beck shines a light onto the actions of the progressive movement and those at mid & top levels hate it when people try to expose what the end game is for renovating America. The best way they feel they can hurt Beck is not by direct attacks but by having their army of drones attempt to boycott his sponsors. What the progressive elites forget is that this game can be played on both ways (boycotting MSNCB's entire advertiser list for example); however, many business owners espouse conservative values thus the damage to the liberal media would be much more damaging due to the overall scope of participants.
With that said, Jobs is a pansy-@ss clown who is fortunate his software for the personal computer market is only sitting at less than 14% because if Apple ever gained upwards of 20% they'd too would succumb to the barrage of attacks from hackers and viruses. Besides the marketing gimmicks they pull for their products is what sells not the innovation because in most cases all major tech industries regurgitate/rehash products from the past. (Example: Before IPad there was Motion Computing Tablets and before that was the Dolphin – nothing new just a shiner product with a "must have" appeal.)
I already disliked the "but we're cool!" marketing of Apple – glad to have even more of a reason to not buy a mac.
Guys, Are You On The Pad?
Steve's On the Pad!
Be Like Steve and Get On The Pad!
It can't do Flash (75% of the web)
It can't do 720p but has a 4×3 screen for watching A Very Special Blossom in true circa 1987 fashion.
It has no usb ports
It has no SD slot.
It can't multi-task and only does one thing at a time – just like those computers from back in 1987!
It cost as much of a real computer but only runs crapps – one at a time.
The "not included" propriety keyboard cost 3 times more then it should.
It doesn't fit in a pocket.
It can't take phone calls.
It can't take pictures.
It can't shoot video and thus can't video chat.
No true GPS.
Oh, you have to email yourself all your documents or buy a $100 a year iDisk account.
Forget using a mini-usb charger, if you forget to take your very non-green 30 pin connector everywhere you go you are SOL.
Just try to print of the thing, ha GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!
"Right-wingers like you don't understand the difference between First Amendment protect speech and hate speech."
Well we certainly understand your definition of it: free speech acfcording to you is when you speak offensively and deceitfully against all that you hate:
freedom, family, God, responsibility, making and producing wealth and jobs with out government interference -people who are against killing innocent life -and against worshiping the environment above man.
Hate speech, according to you is merely telling the truth for it exposes your lies -it is best known as political correctness.
The man himself claims to be nothing more than a concerned "Rodeo Clown". Now if he were a rodeo clown who worshiped at the alter of objectivity, he'd want to interview the bull to find out why he wants to stomp the cowboy even after said bull has expelled the cowboy from his back. Clearly the rodeo clowns objective is draw attention to himself long enough for the cowboy to get to safety.
I am a cowboy in the dirt and I'm lookin at a whole lot of angry snout, gotta love that rodeo clown~!
Seriously though, your right, it IS a bit of a stretch here for Dr. Loudon to call Mr. Beck a journalist. Mr. Beck would be the first one to tell her that. Nice Post
Cam go for the gold… not only boycott the companies boycotting Glenn Beck's show(s) or any other conservative programming but make it a point to contact all advertisers on all the LSM informing them that because they support the garbage spewed from the LSM you refuse to purchase (or visit) their products (or locations). It's dirty but if you use a combination of Cloward & Piven with Saul Alinsky tactics you'll cause these businesses to cave into your demands. This is exactly how the rabid left pull this stuff off.
(Look at the list of advertisers who are actively boycotting Beck and ask yourself if a rabid leftist would have purchased services and/or goods from them. In many cases they don't but will actively write/call the companies to complain because drones are told to do such from their handlers.)
I agree John. Anything can be corrupted and this is a great example. I've not done the research (yet) but I would bet the biggest opponents to U.S. energy and manufacturing self-sufficency are Progressives.
Should one be surprised by fascist behaviors from marxists and their buddies the marx-democrat party ? They did invent and perfect fascism didn't they ?
just posted this on http://www.stopbeck.com lets see how long it stays up:
Thank you so much for this website!!! Your efforts to smear someone because of the things that they say, believe and most Americans agree with, is great! I have posted this and have shared all the companies participating in the "Beck Boycott" campaign to all of my friends. Thank you for making us aware of what these companies are doing as we will no longer buy ANYTHING from a company associated with this web site or anyone trying to shut Glenn Beck up. Perhaps when these companies fail because only a few people agree with your Communist tactics, will you truly have succeeded. Viva la BECK!!!!
FOX makes so much money they could probably run Beck without any ads. Hey we'll still have those gold ads and that guy from Good Will Hunting.
The leftist will always use things such as "racism", hate speech" to demean the opposition. The left can rarely debate the facts so they must demean and silence the opposition. Chavez in Venuezuela is proof enough of that arresting the exec of Globovision. Leftists are facists make no mistake.
I was thinking of buying an Apple until I went into the Apple store and saw how inflated their prices were. Thank you Steve for helping make that desicion so much easier. In between the high prices and boycotting a man fighting tyranny, I will never buy an Apple product. Besides, after the Obamanation gets done with all of us, like we would have any money to buy jack squat anyway.
So — there's a place where I don't have to watch insipid Mac/Apple/iPod ads? Sign me up!
Has Apple boycotted MSNBC for the vile language Keith Olbermann uses against Sarah Palin? Whatabout his very long and repeated list of defamtions aimed at Scott Brown? Or his obsession with the phrases 'tea-bagging' and 'tea-bagger'? Does Apple boycott MSNBC? No.
It's their money, they can spend it where they want. I don't actually care. It's their right, just as it is mine right to spend my money on Apple's competitors. Which I do. Often.
I guess according to the principles of a free market, the advertising time during Beck is discounted, readily available, and watched by millions of breadwinners…how could a sane company refuse?!
stopbeck.com has a list of boycotters it's too long to post. I don't know how valid it is though.
Love you name !!
Also, this is why all of the men on Progressive insurance commercials act like "girly men" or carry "man purses" that there domineering women force them to wear. Never see any actual macho men with assault rifles "blowing away" the high prices offered by competition
Oh, and can you imagine how quickly Olbermann would be fired if Apple boycotted MSNBC? That network is struggling to stay afloat so badly they can't afford to lose any ad dollars, they'd be forced to shut his ugly mug up.
As my company grows and we near a national ad market, Glenn Beck is the first place I hope to take my advertising dollars.
Good job
Guess I'll have to email some of the "providers" I have (verizon, directtv, etc) and find out if they really are boycotting advertising on Beck. Apple blows dead rats. Overpriced, over-hyped. Steve Jobs is an arrogant ass. Wonder if Rush Limbaugh is going to quit his touting of Apple products over this?
