Michael Joseph Gross has now admitted that he made an “error” in regard to his slimy hit piece in Vanity Fair that he wrote about Sarah Palin.  He falsely reported that Sarah somehow disregarded her child at an event, when he knew the child was mine, and I took him from the Governor who was holding him right up until she was walking on stage.

He did not apologize to Sarah Palin, to me, or to either of our children, for the record.  He also has not retracted the other 99 lies in the piece.  At least not yet.

He accuses Sarah Palin of creating fictitious PACs to “hide” money she is supposedly collecting from all of these groups.   He speaks specifically in his piece about the “Take America Back” rally where the Governor, and I spoke, among others.

Not that Mr. Gross would know a pang of patriotism if he ran into a flagpole, but it appears a tutorial might be in order.  Since the MSM lies, distorts, and twists everything that happens in this country, and has for too long now, patriots rose up to re-claim what belongs to us.  Like 60% of the country, I am a patriot.  That means I (and my 100 million closest friends) love this country and you would have to pry my gun out of my cold, dead hands to take it from me.

We see that our country is on a path to tyranny (that means we are losing our liberty and liberty means freedom), and we blame you in the media.   Yes, you–irresponsible slanderers in media and politics who dispense promiscuous accusations at every turn about every patriot they can attack.   MSM, that is what you do.  It is what you have done for about 30 years, with no checks in place, and now you will stop.   Or, we will stop you.   This is how:

  • When you lie, we will tell the whole world the truth.  The truth cannot be hidden for long.
  • When you race-bait, we will open our arms and hearts to minorities and they will find that real liberty is on the right side of the political spectrum.
  • When you twist, we will expose you and your talk show, newspaper or magazine will be fully discredited and eventually, die off.
  • When you slander with the tawdry tactic of innuendo and insinuation, we will counter punch with facts.  As you lose credibility you will lose ratings, and readership, and revenue.
  • When you refuse to award our best with Nobel Peace Prizes, Pulitzer Prizes, and Emmy Awards, we will create our own.  Our sheer numbers will make us bigger than you, and your award, and pretty soon your awards will mean nothing
  • Eventually you will turn on each other, like a gang of bandits clamoring for a doubloon.  It is already happening, isn’t it?

But wait…you already know a little bit about this, don’t you, Mr. Gross?  Did you not work for social liberal and Council of Foreign Relations member Governor William Weld  (R-MA), who resigned his governorship after President Clinton appointed him Ambassador to Mexico — a post to which he was never confirmed? Perhaps your hostility toward Sarah and her appeal to the conservative uprising is that you have never been comfortable with the conservative wing.  But I digress.

The PACs that you accuse Governor Palin of forming and using for profit are nothing of the sort.  These PACs are born of passion—love of liberty and freedom that you simply don’t have the tools in your belt to fight, Mr. Gross.   Folks like us have fought for our liberty against far more skillful adversaries than you.

You are well aware of what it takes to host an event with thousands of people present.  It requires a venue, staging, lighting, megatrons, a sound system, travel and hotel expenses for all 10-20 speakers, catering, security, insurance, music, decorations, the list goes on.  It takes a lot of patriots who are willing to give of their time and talents to host an event like this, and how dare you attack them for exercising their first amendment rights!

You are trying to make a buck, and a name for yourself in journalism using the blood, sweat and tears of patriots as your whipping post.  Did you have any idea how much patriot ink is offered for free?  We do it because we are compelled by our passion, commitment to truth, and sheer determination to eradicate the world of your kind of lies. Your tactic is no longer working, and your “trade” will no longer be tolerated.   Your ratings are gone, your outlets are dying, and your members are dissipating, while ours are growing exponentially.  We are not here for money, or glory, or personal gain.  You need to learn this if you are going to survive in media.  For us, it is not personal; it is our God instructed duty.

You no longer own the airwaves, the media screens, or the printed page.  You might all need a job one day soon. Perhaps you should face the realities.

We believe that everything we hold sacred is threatened, and we hold you (the leftist media and politicians) responsible.  As I said in my first post, Mr. Gross, we do agree on one thing.  You wrote:

The right thing to do is to write a formal apology to Sarah Palin, her family, and all liberty-loving patriots across the country.  We are a forgiving lot.  If you could manage that level of honesty, you would be shocked at the good things that would come your way, not the least of which is your right to continue to write whatever you believe about whatever topic you desire.  How ironic that we, your targets, are actually the ones who might save your job for you.

Perhaps you have already apologized, in a backhanded kind of way.  I think your piece (which has been rebuked by liberals and conservatives alike) may have pushed anyone who doubted the Palins square into their corner.  You may have done more for her than a million dollars worth of marketing.  You may have boosted her shot at the White House. We may all be thanking you for that one day.  You betcha’!
