During an interview with MSNBC’s Joy Behar on Feb. 21, MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch let his bigot flag fly. While fulminating against the tea-party movement in general and in particular against the candidate known as “the tea-party candidate,” who gave the rousing opening speech at CPAC, Deutsch blurted: “You almost need that blank piece of paper. That’s the new model. Like, you know, this coconut (Marco) Rubio down in Florida.”
In settings like MSNBC (but usually backstage) the term coconut (brown on the outside white on the inside) is generally used to castigate “Hispanics” who ignore marching orders barked by Democratic/MSM drill sergeants—same as “Oreo” for similarly uppity blacks.

Never mind that the Cuban-American Marco Rubio is probably more purely Caucasian than Elvis Presley, Hank Williams, Oral Roberts, Johnny Depp among many other southerners who boast Choctaw/Cherokee heritage. We’ll deal with Deutsch’s stupidity in another article. This one’s about Deutsch’s bigotry, a derivative of his stupidity.
Exit polls show that Cuban-Americans voted against Obama by the highest margins—and by far!—of any U.S. ethnic group, including “anglos.” So we’re fair-game for ethnic slurs—and have been for decades. In fact, Deutsch has as much reason to fulminate against Cuban-Americans as the most virulent nativist. Regarding the U.S. political mainstream, Cuban-Americans obstinately refuse to assimilate. To wit:
The Democratic Party controls the U.S. legislature, most state legislatures, most state governorships and boasts–by far–the most registered voters in the U.S.
Yet these insufferable Cuban-Americans have traditionally snubbed all pied pipers from America’s majority party, along with their allies and cohorts in the America’s mainstream media. Instead Cuban-Americans have always gone whole-hog for Republicans—from Nixon to Reagan to both Bushes. In the last two presidential elections the voters of their adopted country gave George W. Bush barely half of their votes, whereas these exasperating Cuban-Americans —again oblivious, or brazenly defiant of their countrymen —gave him 80 per cent of theirs.

Cuban-American campaign consultant, Alex Castellanos, is widely credited with designing the most damaging campaign ads against John Kerry during the 2004 election, prompting America’s mainstream media to dub him “vicious” “irresponsible” and “the father of modern attack ad.” Earlier Castellanos, along with fellow Cuban-American Jose Cardenas, had been instrumental in helping elect Jesse Helms, one of America’s most vilified politicians by her majority political party and its mainstream media cronies.
This political intransigence has often goaded the Democratic/Media axis to enraged sputterings against Cuban-Americans. “Truly disgusting!” was how Bryant Gumbel characterized them during the media circus preceding the shanghaiing of Elian Gonzalez. Three years ago Georgetown professor Norman Birnbaum, an advisor to three presidential candidates for America’s majority political party, labeled “Miami-Cubans” a “truly repellent” group. Two years ago, one of America’s most influential newspapers, the Washington Post, one that habitually endorses America’s majority political party, ran a cartoon celebrating Cuban-Americans expulsion from the U.S. en masse.

Study the cartoon and imagine the fire (literal, perhaps) if instead of fedoras (which are rarely worn by Cuban-Americans, BTW) the group had worn kuffiyehs, burkhas and chadors. What if the boat’s passengers had been labeled “nappy-headed” and were headed for Africa? Imagine the rallies in Los Angeles if they’d worn sombreros!
Such cartoons are indeed imaginable with other ethnic groups — but only with Uncle Sam cast as the villain, wearing a white hood, a swastika, or an Ann Coulter mask. In dispatching Cuban-American Republicans, Uncle Sam smiles benevolently while handing the boat’s ethnic occupants off to a Stalinist gulag. “Ha-ha!”
The head explodes imagining the MSM reaction against such depictions against any other ethnic group.
During their convention in 2004, America’s majority political party feted Michael Moore as their honored guest, seating him in a place of honor right next to Jimmy Carter. “Cuban-Americans,” wrote this honored guest for America’s majority party in his book Downsize This, “are responsible for sleaze and influence-peddling in American politics. In every incident of national torment that has deflated our country for the past three decades; Cuban exiles are always present and involved.”
In a nation where the mildest, most off-handed–or even unwitting, see “black hole,” “niggardly”– mention of ethnic traits commits the professional and social equivalent of a capital crime the usual watchdogs on ethnic sensitivity (the Washington Post and Democratic party always among the most vigilant) issued nary a peep against the blatant bigotry just mentioned, much less in defense of the vilified ethnic group.
Earlier immigrant groups have all yielded to mainstream American political enlightenment. Though the Reagan Revolution made inroads, over a third of Italian-Americans remain registered with America’s majority political party, along with almost half of Irish-Americans. Jewish-Americans habitually skew 65-85 percent for America’s majority party.
Yet these unspeakable Cuban-Americans simply will not see the light—simply will not politically assimilate. Not all the King’s Horses or all the King’s Men can bring them around to follow the lead of the majority in their adopted country and register Democratic. Even with the third generation registering to vote, a measly 13 per cent of these incurably obtuse and unenlightened people register with America’s majority political party!
This is the most diminutive Democratic registration of any ethnic group in the U.S., and 72% of these troglodytes are registered with America’s minority party (Republican.) This is the highest for any ethnic group in the U.S. — more proof that these octopus-eating, fast-talking, wildly-gesticulating people are genetically wired to buck mainstream American norms!
Tom Tancredo was right.

I'm sure getting out of Cuba takes skill, intelligence, bravery, and a love of independence.
All the requirements to be a conservative.
So, why let the racist slanders continue? The left has shown the effectivness of the legal challenge. Surely there are some fire brand Cuban laywers able to take the left to task for these insults.
Racism — Democratic style.
Typical liberal, shallowly attacking people who've experience real repression and hardship.
Someone I heard the other day said something like this: The only people considered "minorities" are those groups on the left. But if they vote conservatively, they're abhorred.
I'm afraid your sarcasm may be too subtle for the average lefty moonbat lib D-bagger to understand, so let me state it in simple terms:
They went through great hardship to escape communism and they aren't going to support a party that is nothing but the American version of the CP. They have lived under totalitarian government control and they don't want any part of it here.
Did anybody see Donny as the "expert" on "Millionaire"? He had no idea where the Sinai Peninsula is. Some "expert."
Dem. Rule #1 when caught in a racist act….. Feign ignorance, oh wait…. they don't have to do that.
Nice jib Mr. Fontero
Those wounds run deep. Family, friends, associates rounded up and never seen again. Yeah, they know what social "equality" costs and it ain't pretty. The minorities that blindly support the Dems in this country have NEVER had to endure such things, except for African Americans during slavery, and yet even now they support the party that traditionally "owned" them.
Deutsch….hmmm….that's German isn't it? He may be a Nazi!
You know, "those people of color" are owned lock stock and (well, no barrel as they're afraid of guns) by the Democrat Mafia. They stray off the plantation (or migrant farm land) at their peril. The Democrat Mafia is responsible for making sure nothing happens to these good folks, and if something does happen, "Tony, make it look like an accident."
God bless Cuban-Americans! God bless ALL who have escaped the Communist killing machines of Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Poland, Hungary, Ukraine, Georgia, Belarus, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Romania, Russia, China, Venezuela, etc.
No one knows oppression like these people. They survived Communism and escaped it. They aren't going to be talked into slavery by Barack Obama and the Democrat Party. These are America's most valuable citizens. They know what it is to struggle for FREEDOM. Again, God bless them.
So Cubans understand Democrats, and they understand freedom.
Makes sense.
By the way, that cartoon by Patrick Oliphant in the WhiteWash Post is one of the most vile things I think I've ever seen. It's an open call for the murder of Americans of Cuban descent at the hands of a Communist dictator, and all because Cuban-Americans don't support the Democrat Party's totalitarian collectivism. How that miserable S.O.B. wasn't fired for this hateful bilge speaks to the degree of hatred Leftists find "acceptable" when directed at free-thinking minorities. Democrats are motivated by HATE. Democrats want their minority voters helpless, hopeless and dependent on the Government, just like in Castro's Cuba.
The gene pool needs cleaning
As a proud American of Latin heritage, I "invite" Donny Deutchbag to call me a "coconut".
In person. To my face.
I can be in N.Y. in a day, and I can "cab it" to MSNBC or his "adverstising" business 'post haste'.
Call me, we'll do "crunch".
That cartoon is disgusting. I can't believe that guy used the word 'coconut' on the air like that. Can you imagine what the response would have been if it'd been conservatives doing both those things? Liberal hypocrisy at its best.
Remind me not to piss you off…
lol
Whyizzit that so many of our citizens ignore the true accounts of life in their former countries so many immigrants to our shores have to offer?
Immigrants from Cuba, Poland, Viet Nam, Venezuela, Burma and North Korea (when they can sneak out), former Czechoslovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, the Baltics, etc., have lived the alleged "dream" of socialism/communism. When they see similar trends developing here, and speak of them, they're vilified.
Dissing them with such willful ignorance is more than a mistake; it's a sin against freedom.
Nah, I'm generally peaceful. Make love, not war dude…but, ya know – sometimes nice talk fails, and I have a head full of stiches when that "point" was reached and passed.
It's a "human" thing. We were all born to fight – sometimes – it's primal.
That's why people watch other people beat the tar out of each other, thats why there was a big stadium built in Rome 1900 years ago.
That's why some bars have plastic mugs. That's why little kids stop talking and start fighting, quickly.
That's why the U.N. is a waste of money and time for the most part.
When I was about six or seven I came home complaining that a kid was fighting with me. My dear Mexican Mama THREW me outside until I finished the fight. THAT'S a good Mom, I learned from that, not from being given a looli pop and a stuufed animal to "hug".
Deutsch has extremely bad character. He is a typical lib. He treats scumbags with deference and good people with contempt. The coconut comment is illogical. Deutch implies that Mr Rubio is an inauthentic hispanic. Well, he is very authentic Cuban American. Deutsch is a coward. He knows he can get away with a mumbled insult at any Rebublican, regardless of their ethnicity. In contrast I saw him treat Boston Gangster, John "Red" Shea with complete deference. People with bad character are cruel to the kind, and kind to the cruel. He is the syncophant we see throughout our lives that kisses butt to get by. It is obvious that his Network keeps him around to do their dirty work. That was not a offhand comment, Deutch knew what he was going to say ahead of time in order to marginalize Rubio, Tea Party, and all conservatives. Other Americans with native american ancestry include Chuck Norris, Nick Carter, & famous USMC sniper, Carlos Hathcock.
No.
If you cannot express cultural or ethnic pride without denigrating some other group, then in fact you are speaking with more than a hint of racism, and do whatever group you are trying to speak for a great disservice.
People with spines do not need to climb on top of others to stand tall.
Growing up in a Native American community as a 'half breed' I have no tolerance for true racism myself. I had to fight my way out of more than one corner, that's for sure. But, what pisses me off even worse is the 'manufactured' racism PC stuff.
Why lookee here! Donny's famous.
76% PREFER THE TERM "USED C*ND*M" AS AN ETHNIC SLUR WHEN REFERRING TO MSNBC CONTRIBUTOR DONNY DEUTSCH
http://naturalfake.wordpress.com/2010/02/24/76-pr...
In law school my fiance was Cuban. Her father, proud to have shot one of Castro's guards, was a staunch Republican, as well as an NRA member. Like most Cuban immigrants, he left everything in Cuba, brought his family here without a dime, and through hard work and determination, became an executive at a major company that is famous for making asprin. Didn't marry the girl, but I've got to tell you, her father was AWESOME. I've had a deep respect for Cuban-Americans ever since those days.
http://www.thoseshirts.com/reagan.html
yup. foot in both worlds…I've shut down a few of those "damn Mescan suck" discussions when I announce I'm 50% Mexican with relatives in Mexico and the whole nine yards. The subject changes quickly or I change it personally. Most often American are good Americans – no room for petty ignorance.
"The head explodes imagining the MSM reaction against such depictions against any other ethnic group". Maybe that would be a worthwhile experiment, surely someone out there has the artistic skills to either duplicate or alter the cartoon to show just that, either wearing burkas or looking "nappy-headed". Forward that cartoon to the usual suspects and with all the required outrage, and see where it goes. The reaction would be interesting.
We are so far from, "All men are created equal", that we are unrecognizable. Only the left can pull of a bigoted attitude. This society has gone so far down hill from these loons. All to cover for their lack of policy coherence.
Conservative policy is what is best for the American people. Speak to us about that. Or resort to your incoherent slander. All democratic substance is slander, & none of it is intelligent.
OMG!
Pics tow and three are hot!!!!!!!!!!!
Love a girl in a Reagan shirt and short shorts!!!!!!!!
Senator George Allen and macaca come to mind.
Behar works for Headline News. Not that it matters, no one watches her crappy show either.
Como dicen alla: Que me quiten lo bailado. [as they say there: let them try to take away the dance I already danced].
I say this to re-state what I said before:
The difference is that WE HAVE A SPINE!
ALA!
I dont know how many times Im going to have to explain this this,
ITS NOT RACISM WHEN LIBERALS DO IT!!! LIBERALS CANT BE RACIST, THERE LIBERAL!!!
An example of real racism is all the bigots on this site that protest Obama's plan to massively expand government just because he's black. Or half back with no negro accent unless he chooses to use one.
Never mind this mild slur by msnbc, that was just a small bit of humor……….yeah…. humor….
If you want racism look in the mirror.
Now it you dont mind Al Sharpton and I needed in order to trump up some more charges against some white kids, or some cops, or those bigots the voted for those white girls in that step comp.
I agree with everything you wrote, except for the line about "shanghaiing" Elian Gonzalez. By Shanghai, I assume you mean returning him to his father, which is morally correct as well as legally (since Gonzalez was picked up at sea and was only allowed to temporarily stay by Congress becoming involved and over-ruling the proper immigration agency).
Donny Douche had an interview program on one of the cable programs a few years ago. I watched him interview Ted Turner. It was not so much an interview, more like a live performance of Donny performing fellatio on Ted. I kept yelling for Donny to get off his knees and wipe his mouth. This guy is a tool.
Viva Fontova! Another awesome piece. If you guys ever need a new place to live we want you here in TX.
I heard Deutsch say "that coconut" etc….
He looked like the ass that he really is because it was obvious that he just wanted to let everyine know that he knows the slang. He's cool and can hang ! Whoa dude you are cool! What an idiot. It is the past your prime advertising executive version of a 48 year old guy wearing a tight Tapout T shirt and cool jeans because he is having a midlife crisis. what a fool. Wanting to look cool just lost him a bunch of people that might have taken some of the thing s ge says serious. Great! Keep it up Donny.
I totally agree. They seek a New Democart Party Plantation with the academics. poltical elites, Follywooders and M.S. Media as the new SS – riding herd and calling the shots.
They seek to continue to awallow or subjugate private business – you know – so THEY can spread someone elses wealth around.
The pushback starts in earnest in about eight months.
Jamesb
Not to start a fight, just curious. How do you feel about those people in the US illegally?(what ever nationality)
BronxZionist
negro —– Etymology: Spanish or Portuguese, from negro black,
Throw them out, NOW. We are a nation of laws and one of them is "don't sneak into our nation". No pandering (like McCain) no amnesty, no "free passes" no nada.
Out – now. If an immigrants first act as a "new citizen" is blatantly breaking OUR laws, they have betrayed our trust.
When you see "Latinos" winking and nodding and excusing law breakers and making rationalizations for them – they have other motivations – usually "recruiting new Democrat voters".
well two points
1) as a liberal, and a hispanic from florida, I don't think Deustch is a good representative of the ideology. Most because he at times, such as this, sinks to the tactics he would accuse of those he hates.
but
2) "typical liberal" is a statement that can lead to another form of groupthink in which you minimize critical testing by writing off this behavior as "liberal like".
As a liberal I would ask people not assume automatically that he represents us, just as I would hope conservatives wouldn't want liberals to assume the more underhanded members of your ideology represent you. Unfortunately people like this exist on both sides and it makes it harder to listen to the good conservatives and liberals alike.
Marco Rubio comes from a people that KNOW what it is like when the ideology of the Democrats is taken to its logical conclusion.
But we Americans of Cuban heritage are not alone.
Ask the Vietnamese in Garden Grove
Ask the Hmong in Wisconsin or the Cal. central valley
Ask the Koreans on the west side of LA
Ask the Poles in Albany or Milwuakee
Ask anyone who has escaped from under the boot of the same ideology that is at the core of American "progressives"
Yes, I know.
That is not what I was referring to.
There's a man that does work around my neighbor's home whom I started talking to one day – he's from Sinaloa, in deep Mexico. He's about 60 and he tells me how bad it is down there and how much he appreciated coming into the U.S. to work, and he works hard all day and goes home to Juarez, Chihuahua. He works for a prominent lawyer, his law partner, who is a candidate for County Attorney, me, my parents and a handful of others – and GOES HOME – everyday.
I drop him a block from the border and he's in WAY more danger going home – he's been robbed he tells me, but he obeys the law. It can be done – legally.
Behar is an example of totally retro MSM, (Misinformation, Smearing, Manipulating), another anachronistic muckateer, of days gone by, of inflated self-importance, now reduced to passe irrelevancy. Obviously she has become imbalanced by fighting and arguing against the truth for far too long. Long ago, she lost her balance when she began to beleive in her own sense of distorted reality. She's come undone.
Thanks for posting this article. I’m decidedly frustrated with struggling to search out pertinent and rational comment on this matter. Everybody now goes to the very far extremes to either drive home their viewpoint that either: everyone else in the planet is wrong, or two that everyone but them does not really understand the situation. Many thanks for your succinct, relevant insight.
Donny Deutsch. ho id he? never heard of him….
Cuban-Americans are not the only Latinos to vote for freedom and conservative goverment. Anyone who has suffered leftist politics in Latin-America, sees the Democret Party for what it is: Socialist! Humberto, I know what you are saying.
Hmmm… get back to me when it's not a liberal quest to continue checking little boxes 1) Caucasian 2)African-American 2) American Indian….
The liberal ideology is consumed, obsessed, rules much of its political beliefs on the color of our skin vs. our individual right to opportunity.
So while you may not agree with Duetsch, it is the liberal way (from the top down) to focus on skin color and to shun those who do not walk in lockstep with their "group". You are trying to sound more reasonable than I. But, unfortunately, to me you merely sound uninformed about the liberal groupthink mentality.
I stand by my "typical liberal" statement.
Thank – you Mr Fontova. I have not forgotten the bay of pigs or the treacherous retreat of a president that history still anoints with sainthood. Here is to the dual patriotic Cuban – Americans, may there memories be long and may they continue to fight for freedom. I am ussually radically opposed to hyphenating any American, but the Cubans have earned the right. Yo No VOY
Great article, as always. I always enjoy Fontova's articles. This is really an amazing country and now we have a forum to learn about each other. I had no idea that Cuban-Americans were conservatives, although it makes sense. They know from frightful experience where we are headed.
The question one has to ask nitwits like this, is why they think that political ideology has a racial color?
Why should "brown skin = X"? Why should "white skin = Y" and why should "black skin = z"?
And just start demanding an answer, in public. Either they're going to start defending this nonsense, or it's going to get so ridiculed it goes away – either way, it gets discredited, and once done, that removes just that more racism from the American way of life.
sure, stand by your typical liberal statement, but encouraging one form of groupthink is not a way to fight another. All it does is discourage discourse. The liberal ideology does not encourage political belief based on skin color – the misuse of the ideology does. To make that kind of statement would be like me claiming that conservativism is about pandering to white people in churches. When it obviously isn't, but some bad people will use it that way. Would you like me to "stand by" that statement?
PS, my hispanic cred is something I bring up because im familiar with the political leanings of hispanics in florida. When there is an article that brings up american indian or irish poltics, in a region that you grew up in, then yes you can speak with more credibility.
I am a liberal and I am being more reasonable because what you would call a liberal groupthink mentality doesn't represent me, just as he doesn't represent many liberals. By using such terms and not being specific with your criticism you discourage critical thought so as to make your comments easy to agree with. Another form of groupthink.
Who and what is Donny Deutsch? Doesn't sound like a good Anglo Saxon, Scotch or Irish name to me. Is it now OK to attack groups for their political biases? Bad precedent and revealing of a misguided arrogance of power.
1) Conservatives don't ask people to sign every document with their religion or color. That belongs to the liberals. Again, liberals are the ones obsessed with keeping people in their color groups; anyone who steps out of line is mocked and called names. This belongs to the liberals.
2) I specifically asked if you had the experience of living under violent repression in Cuba, as my friend Julio had. Otherwise your heritage means as little as mine does. This is why many Cubans (as others who've lived under repressive regimes) vote conservative. They know well from experience what they left and see it in the liberal party today.
3) You're not reasonable because you deny all of the above. Your political group wants to focus on color over experiences; color over individuality; color over personal responsibility. To deny this is just delusional.
In regards to critical thinking I suggest you begin doing some.
so now you're going to tell me what belongs to my own ideology? Just as you insist I be a cuban refugee in order to have credibility I would ask you to not define my own ideology for me. Thats incredible presumptuous on your part. As I've said, there is a mile wide difference between the misuse of a belief system and the belief system itself.
My ability to be reasonable has never been at risk because I never once denied that this does not happen, I deny that that's the definition of "liberal" in of itself. Don't tell me what I believe – not only does encourage a lack of critical thought. It's just silly.
Ahhhh, once again … one from the enlightened side of the political spectrum keeps the dialogue clean and proper with an uncalled for abasement of a spectacullarly conservative republican.
I had to laugh about the question "Where is the Sinai?" on "Who WantsTo Be A Millionair " ? He should know that! HE'S A Jew!!!!
I long for the day when we liberate Cuba from that vile [removed words for sake of the children] Fidel Castro and his henchmen. We are brothers in common cause.
Deutsch is an absolute disgrace! I cannot even begin to imagine the manufactured outrage from the MSM if anything resembling this was said about any ethnic group seen as being "good little Dems".
http://www.crooklynconservative.com
Donny who??? Deutsch???? Is he related to 1970's gameshow fave Patti Deutsch??? If not, why should I care about him??
My father came to the U.S from Cuba when he was ten years old. He was part of the deemed despicable bourgeoisie that Castro hated. Before things became too crazy he and his entire family left their estate with only one suitcase per family member and flew to New York City. You know what he did? He worked is butt off, made excellent grades, went to a nice private college, and assimilated. He has provided so much for me and my two other brothers. He came here with nothing and because of lots of hard work, he as EARNED wealth. Every time I hear people say that unless you are rich, you will never be successful in the U.S, I think of my dad and feel sorry for how ignorant those people are.
Same here, my best friend in college came from Cuba at the age of 12 with his parents. I was lucky enough to be in his wedding and to meet his entire family. Since that day back in the early 80s, I have always had a special fondness for Cubans and what they've endured. I heard so many stories about how they lived in Castro's horrible world.
(BTW: My father-in-law once told me that he was a minor league catcher for the Cubs back in the 40s and Castro was paid to pitch batting practice. Too bad he didn't make the team! It might be a different world.)
Now that I live in FL, Rubio is a no-brainer choice for me! I have donated to the campaign and have his bumper stickers on my vehicles. I also signed-up to work for him whenever needed on the Treasure Coast.
Go Marco!!!!
If you do, have someone with a video camera and post it on U-tube
That's true of people who came here in flight from religious or political persecution. However, the same can't be said for those who sneak across the border, to break our laws, create "Anchor" babies, and tie up resources that should be designated "Citizen Only"!
Apparently the Democrats / Liberals / Progressives see those as new source of politcal support; hense their support for "Immigration Reform".
Always had a deep respect for the Cuban people. Their commitment and love of freedom is a beautiful thing to see. Andy Garcia made a movie, a beautiful tribute to them in his period piece "The Lost City."
I will always support and back the Cuban people who are Americans and love this country as much as anyone. And to those Castro synchophants like Charlie Rangel I say, "Viva Elian" one day he too will be free.
2 of my heros. Chuck Norris and Carlos Hathcock. Reading about Hathcock in the book titled "Sniper", what that guy was able to do in his duties was truly amazing. What it took to condition his mind and body to endure moving 10 feet over an hours time is mind-boggling to me. The discipline involved is to be admired. His aim wasn't too bad either. Chuck Norris, instead of using his time, and money to become THE A-list celebrity in hollyweird, he utilizes it, and his sacred honor, for the betterment of America, what a guy!
Cuban exiles recognize which party houses the communists.
The reactionary artist behind that cartoon is going to be so hurt when Florida elects Marco Rubio.
Go Rubio!
yup. it's outrageous. The biggest street threat to black people is a new and ferocious new danger – Central American street gangs. The Mexican gangs are bad but these Central Americanos are crazy bad.
No amnesty – break our laws – do the time or get booted – which is the prefered option.
bash those who believe in certain principles, but blacks who have none are the darlings of a party that holds them down and uses them
[...] Donny Deutsch, ‘Coconut’ Bigot, Typical Democrat [...]
it is not just cuban americans the left does this to, look at the way they did C. Rice. if that was done to Jesse Jackson, your career and life would be over. i also seen juan Williams told to " get back on the porch" on O'reilly. you are only a protected minority when you liberal
Can you imagine if a Conservative had used the expression "coconut" and then tried to cover by saying they did not know what it meant?
I had never heard the expression until now, so it could be true that DD had not heard it either, but he is one person who does not deserve the benefit of the doubt.
If someone had used the very same expression on his program and he knew what it meant, he would have been all over it, not knowing or caring if the other person knew or not.
He tried, and largely got away with, pulling a stunt on Ann Coutler. She said her belief was that Jewish people could be "perfected" through Christianity. DD made her out to be a Nazi over it.
He does not deserve any slack at all.
Live by the douchebaggery, die by the douchebaggery.
Sorry Donnie.
Jamesb
I am certainly with you on that.
[...] Humberto Fontova would like for you to know that MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch is a bigot, and Pharmer is more than happy to help. [...]
One of the links, the one showing that Cuban-Americans vote more Republican-ly than any other voting bloc, ironically was on the site of Capital Hill Cubans, the organ of the powerful lobby, the US-Cuba Democracy PAC.
Can someone ask the US-Cuba Democracy PAC exactly why they give most of their money to Democrats, instead of Republicans? Maybe there's something wrong with that given who they claim to represent.
Great Article highlighting the hypocrisy of the progressive/socialist cretins who play the race game for political power. But one question, why do we refer to Hispanics as a different race. They originate from Spain, and people I hate to tell you this, Spain is in Europe. Spain is connected to France, and was populated in ancient times by the Latins from Rome. So, that makes the Hispanics, much like the Italians, Greeks, Albanians, and others from the European Mediterranean area, just as White as the white people that the progressive/socialist deride.
the left hold on to bigotry.
Hey idiot, Joy Behar is on HLN not MSNBC. Proving that you are a complete nitwit…
Hmm.. it seems that Cubans are facing racist hatred from democrats. What other ethnic group had this situation? Revisionist scholars try to hide the truth, but it was blacks the Dems despised and indeed had racial animosity towards. Why? Blacks broke for Republicans in huge numbers. For most of his life Martin Luther King Jr. was a republican, and so was his father. And his grandfather. But Martin Luther King was in jail and made a pardon deal with a democrat in order to get him to throw his support to Democrats. The rest is sadly history. I don't mean to detract from Dr. King's contribution to America but it's kind of sad how Blacks have forgotten their conservative roots, and the degradation of their culture is plain to see. No, I wasn't going to mention you by name, Lil' Wayne… sigh. Anyways. Cubans seem to be unshakable however and that is awesome.
And they wonder why there's no bipartisanship in this country. The Democrats are glad to be bipartisan as long as you agree with what they say, but as soon as you don't, BAM!!, they start calling you names.
thank you Professor Turgeson – my parents were arrested by the Soviets in Poland during WWII (they were Roman Catholic); they saw and experienced the horrors and we ended up, eventually, here in the USA. We were all naturalized and it's so true that those who have not experienced the "dream" of socialism/communism just don't get it. I know what my parents endured – it's astounding to hear the ignorance of those who still believe in the smoke and mirrors of the "dream" of socialism/communism. There are billions of stories of those who wanted a free life – we were just one of them. Best,
Kasia Sierpinski
Donnie is a racist. A uppity hispanic got out of line now he has to marginalize him. Donnie you're a turd.
Dude, I am so with you on this. I am an American of Mexican born parents, who came to this country *legally* 50 years ago and I am proud of them for doing it right. None of that sneaking in B.S., they waited for months and months to gain permission to come here. My dear Dad passed away in '93, but my Mama has no tolerance for our fellow Mexican lawbreakers and neither do I. From one fake Latino (as I've been labeled for my conservative beliefs) to another, I salute you.
Thank you Phil. My parents are 80 and pushing 80, married for 54 years and I cherish everyday they're health and happy.. Condolences on you Dad and God Bless your Mom.
This is what I always suggest to people that don't "get it" this:
I love Cancun, absolutely love it. From the first beer on the bus on the way into town, to the beaches, the in-pool bars, going into the non-tourist parts of town away from the beach, all of it – LOVE IT!
So, can I be an ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT in Cancun? In Mexico? Why not? I like there, I can get a job. I can ride a bus and speak the language. I can find a place to live, why not?
The Mexican immigration people would boot my illegal butt out in a N.Y. minute. They would be in the right and doing their job. When the "Migra" does that hypocrites whine and cry.
