So the Cold War’s Over?
Tell it to Fidel Castro and his agents. Among the ten spies just nabbed by the FBI and accused of working for the Russian Federation we find a Vicky Pelaez, weekly columnist for New York’s largest circulation Spanish-language paper, La Prensa/El Diario. You will never guess who they endorsed for President.
Besides this New York paper, please note who proudly publishes Vicky Pelaez’ articles and displays her byline.

Now please note who proudly publishes the articles confected by the Huffington Post’s Margarita Alarcon and proudly displays her byline. The Huffington Post’s “conflict of interest” was revealed on this site just the other day (if I may so say myself.)
Cubadebate, for anyone poised to spout off about “McCarthyism at Big Journalism!” is blatantly and unapologetically the Castro regime’s house organ. Note that Fidel, Raul and Hugo’s pronouncements, decrees and fiats appear just to the right of The Huffington Post writer’s articles (and those of the recently arrested and accused Russian spy’s.)
Among Vicky Pelaez most recent articles was a paean to Hugo Chavez for his “lifting Venezuelans’ from abject poverty and restoring their pride” and to Oliver Stone for documenting and publicizing the glorious process.
Other Vicky Pelaez articles bashed Arizona’s “xenophobia and racism,” as exemplified by the passage of SB1070 which transformed Arizona into a “Police State.”
Concurrent with their house organ’s columnist (Vicky Pelaez) condemnation of Arizona, Fidel Castro (whose regime jailed political prisoners at a higher rate than Stalin’s and murdered them at a higher rate pre-war Hitler’s) slammed SB 1070 as “a brutal violation of human rights.”
Alas, cues from the Democratic/MSM teleprompter probably didn’t prompt Castro’s recent snipes against Arizona’s SB 1070. Instead, Governor Brewer’s law probably stung him hard—and right where it hurts most.

Gregorio Sanchez
Don’t look for this anywhere in the U.S. media, but last month Cancun’s former mayor , Gregorio Sanchez, who was also running for governor of Mexico’s state of Quintana Roo (which includes Cancun and the Caribbean “Mexican Riviera,”) was arrested and charged with a string of crimes including money-laundering and trafficking in drugs and illegal immigrants. Interestingly, Senor Sanchez is married to a Cuban Senorita named Niurka Sáliva, daughter of one of Fidel Castro’s top intelligence officials.
“But, Humberto!” you say. “Why should something so commonplace and provincially Mexican be reported in the U.S. media?”
Because the drug and human contraband (the later including Cubans, Russians, Chinese and perhaps al Qaeda-allied Somali terrorists) from this Mexican way station, courtesy of Gregorio Sanchez and his Castroite wife, were mostly bound for the U.S. –with Arizona a probable entry point. That’s why.

Connecting a few dots: last month, “Anthony Joseph Tracy, 35, was set free after pleading guilty to human smuggling charges ….Tracy, a former informant to two U.S. intelligence agencies, was collared at JFK airport last January. He copped to helping 272 Somalis illegally enter the U.S. from Kenya through Cuba. … Tracy allegedly helped the Somalis get travel visas to Cuba. After traveling from Kenya to Dubai to Moscow to Cuba, they then went to South America before entering the United States through the border in Mexico.”
Mexican investigative reporter José Antonio Pérez Stuart has uncovered links between the international publicity campaign against Arizona and money from powerful Latin American narco-Castroite mafias. That’s also why.
Mexican newspapers have also revealed that a Cuban named Boris “El Boris” del Valle, son of Cuba’s former Minister of the Interior (KGB-trained secret police/intelligence) and a relative of Fidel Castro’s wife, Dalia del Valle, worked closely with the Sanchez couple and was the “hands-on” operative for the smuggling of drugs and humans into the U.S., probably through Arizona.
Makes you see the fight over the new Arizona law in a whole new light now, doesn’t it?

Ok, so the illegals coming across the borders are a bad thing.
That's a given.
Too bad we have the worst president in history in office now.
And, being a collaborator with those who call for the demise of the US, he ignores the obvious problem with the open border with Mexico.
But you know what? November's coming baby!
Wonder what else is going to appear in this mess. ..
VIVA ARIZONA!!!!!!!!
Why We Should Care About the Arrests Of the Russian ?Illegals?…
I found your entry interesting do I’ve added a Trackback to it on my weblog
…
We have seen our own worst enemy and it is our current administration. I say again the feds don't have a clue as to the number of illegals, terrorists, and spies already in our country.
Conservative estimates of all illegal aliens in the US is somewhere between 20 to 30 million. No factual figures for terrorists and spies exist. Let's be conservative by using 1/2 of 1% or 0.005 for the number of terrorists and spies. Multiply that by 25,000,000(ave)illegals and we have a number of 125,000 potential terrorists and spies. How does that make you feel? Warm and fuzzy? Safe? Hasn't exceeded your comfort zone? Now divide by 50 states and we can have up to 2,500 bad guys per state. That's equivalent to about three battalions/state.
Using Nam figures of 10:1 ratio to combat that number, we would need 25 thousand US troops/state to counteract any nastiness on the part of the bad guys. Can't be done. Too many facilities would have to be guarded not mentioning transmission lines and dams.
Folks, we need the borders secured.
Humberto Fontova keeps the south of the border perspective/and the media in check, Thought i would opine and give Kudo's where they are due. Your the man Humberto… Never change.
We beat the Russians but lost the Cold War. This government has been infiltrated for a hundred years. The Democrat Party has been completely hijacked by the radical left. The left's whole platform is connected, and their goal is to overthrow the institutions that have made the U.S. great.
There's something very spooky going on here. Great article, Humberto.
Damn right. Nice number crunching Rick013, If the sh!t did hit the fan we would be out numbered on the federal level, But the SCOTUS did just hook us up on the local level…
It's been bizarre, reading accounts of the spy bust. They're almost apologetic; whatever facts emerge about the case, I know right now that our media does not regard the presence of a spy ring, especially a spy ring with elements designed to influence US policy, as that big of a deal.
A foreign government sent people here to live among us, to gather information clandestinely, and to shape policy whenever possible.
Not a big deal? I suppose not, if you regard Palestinian terrorists as "human rights activists," Hugo Chavez as a "rebellious firebrand," illegal aliens as "immigrant workers," or Islamic terrorism as "man-caused disaster." (God forbid some militant right-wing nutball blows something up, not just because of the loss of human life, but also because then we'd actually be fighting "terrorism", not just "man-caused disasters.")
Nothing to see here
Move along………….

We live in damn interesting times, as the old Chinese curse goes. I wouldn't be surprised that Mexican Narco-dollars are finding their way into pro-amnesty interest groups and Democrat constituencies, since Arizona's actually taking proactive measures to stop both the flow of illegals and narcotics.
Castro's regime has been on narco-trafficking life support ever since their sugar daddy the Soviet Union went broke and disbanded, so naturally they're feeling the pinch as much as any cartel boss. Excellent reporting Humberto.
We"re screwed, no valid elections can fix how blown to hell this country is
When teachers are commies you know why kids today should be deported.
When Sean Harrington entered his freshman year at Arlington High School, he noticed something peculiar: There were no American flags in the classrooms, and no one recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
So Harrington enlisted the aid of his fellow students, and now, three years later, they have succeeded in getting flags installed in the classrooms. But the pledge still will not be recited.
The Arlington, Mass., school committee has rejected the 17-year-old's request to allow students to voluntarily recite the Pledge of Allegiance, because some educators are concerned that it would be hard to find teachers willing to recite it, according to a report in the Arlington Patch.
Harrington had presented school officials with a petition signed by 700 people
But the request to have the pledge recited failed when the committee's vote ended in a 3-3 tie.
"I was really heartbroken," Harrington says. "It's hard to think that something so traditional in American society was turned down."
His fight has received quite a bit of support from the community. "When I was going to school, it was an honor and a privilege to pledge allegiance to the flag," Francis De Guglielmo, 55, told the Patch. He called the ban an "absolute travesty" and a "disgrace."
Harrington, who will be a senior in the fall, said he will continue to fight. "I'm not a person who quits and I don't back down. It's a very righteous cause and needs to be followed through until the end."
Some committee members voiced concerns about forcing people to do something that might violate their beliefs – including religious beliefs. Among the no-votes was committee member Leba Heigham.
"Patriotism is a very personal thing for all of us, but I do not think it is in the school committee's best interest to mandate that any of our employees recite the pledge," she told the Patch.
Harrington said the recitation would have been strictly voluntary.
"If we can't find one teacher who is willing to say the pledge, then the system we have is cracked," noting that a number of teachers signed his petition.
He said the school's ban on the pledge sends the wrong message. "It tells me that we've basically cast aside what our country is founded on," he said. "It's saying that we don't really care, and it's sad."
Arlington's superintendent of schools did not return a call for comment.
Great article. At any time, but especially in an era where Al Queda is intent on killing as many Americans as possible, leaving a border open for smugglers, gang members, spies and other bad actors to cross just makes no sense. The federal government needs to follow Arizona's example.
I'm watching the local (Los Angeles) afternoon news, and they are reporting the spy arrests in the middle of the weather report, brush fires, et al. Ho hum. No big deal, no big concern, absolutely none of the connections outlined in this excellent article. Thank God for the internet!
Wow, that's some scary sh1t. Thanks for doing the math on that. Truly terrifying.

Looks as if we see a pattern here, could the communist be attacking the US already by way of Mexico, using the drug trade as a cover,it seems all the weapons confiscated south of the border are Russian made AK47's,we need to tighten our border NOW.
Humberto,
You yet again have provided a clarity to the situation that is not provided anywhere else. For that, I thank you. Having been raised in the sunshine state, I am aware of some of the interesting activities that occurred in our past. Residing now in the golden state, I see stupid manifest itself daily through the progressive machinations. Increasingly, I believe that the people of our country are so tuned into Am Idol or some form of sports or disconnect, that they are clueless to the realities that surround and pass by them on a daily basis. I would recommend that some of you fine people look around and pay attention. Dark things are afoot once again and the dunce in office could care less about you and I.
