Boycotts could be considered an All American protest. The act of refusing to purchase the goods or services of a targeted product pre-dates the republic, with angry colonists refusing to buy tea following the British Parliament’s enactment of the 1773 Tea Act. What made this boycott so extraordinary is that tea was not simply an item on the shelf of colonial cupboards; it was a staple, a part of the culture that English settlers brought with them to the New World.

Fast forward 237 years to the most recent boycott making news in the colonies – the boycott of the Glenn Beck Show. As many as several hundred companies that buy advertising have decided to spend their ad dollars elsewhere, Apple said to be among the most recent high-profile corporations to assume such a position.
It’s not as if a multitude of organizations has risen to demand a boycott of Beck’s product. Much of the noise is emanating from the organization Color of Change, a relatively new left-of-center non-profit whose name appears to seek linkage with President Obama’s political agenda.
The most recent boycott demand is from a fellow named the Rev. Jim Wallis, who leads a group called the Sojourners. Rev. Wallis decreed that Christians should not watch Beck’s show any more because the Fox host stated that the progressive catch phrase “social justice” is nothing more than code for communism and Nazism.
Media boycotts come and go, and the reasonable first question in most cases is ‘why’? Why boycott Beck? It’s not as if he’s the most watched show on the Fox News Channel because he’s not. He pulls very strong numbers in his time slot but Bill O’Reilly has more viewers overall, according to the most recent ratings.
Boycotts are generally motivated by one or more of three principle drivers: outrage, fear and economics. One could make the argument that the ad boycott of Beck is simple a business decision. Companies are routinely hit with demands by fringe groups to do this or that for a variety of reasons. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t, which is a business decision. In a departure from many such past movements to boycott a show, the flight of sponsors from the Beck program is significant enough to have migrated from the political and cultural news pages to the editorial desks of business news outlets. So perhaps this is simple economics.

But business decisions are rarely made in a vacuum. There must be something to prompt a company into a particular mode of action. Could the boycott campaign of a relatively unknown group really be responsible for all this corporate board room discussion over which news shows to advertise on?
Perhaps. Color of Change may be a relative Johnny Come Lately to the non-profit world but its management is not. The executive director and co-founder of Color of Change Dot Org is James Rucker, an alumnus of the notorious George Soros-funded MoveOn.org. During his tenure at MoveOn.org, Rucker was credited with directing the group’s grassroots mobilization effort and is said to have been, “instrumental in developing and executing on fundraising, technology, and campaign strategies.”
If I needed a guy to gin-up a corporate pressure campaign to get advertisers to boycott a broadcast product, I’d look real hard at Rucker because the man certainly has the resume. I’d also flog the heck out of that effort in my direct mail and other fundraising efforts. Contributors like to see results and if a group can take credit for pressuring Apple or any other big name company to alter its marketing and advertising plans, I would take out a loan to buy stamps for the Mother of All Mail Drops.

Whether these boycotting advertisers are facing some sort of Jacksonesque shakedown is unclear. What is clear is that whatever is happening is working. But again, the unanswered question is, ‘why Beck?” The man is clearly speaking some truth to some power. It’s unlikely that casual observers would get their knickers in a twist over a TV show host. In this particular case, my bet is that the call for boycotting Beck is based largely on fear of the man and somebody wants to use economic pressure to silence him.
Consider the proximate reasons for the outrage over Beck. Of late, it was from a left of center reverend who took umbrage over equating “social justice” with communism. To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, a liberal is somebody who has read Karl Marx while a conservative is somebody who understands what Marx wrote. Anybody who knows anything about contemporary politics knows that Beck is essentially right. The same people who promote “social justice” are invariably the same people calling for redistribution of wealth, which basically defines communism. Beck may be bombastic and provocative but on this point, he’s not wrong.

The other proximate cause for boycotting Beck is that he called the president a racist and accused him of having a “deep-seated hatred of white people.” That’s much tougher because it involves examining the heart and mind of a person, an opportunity for which Beck presumably has not availed himself. However, there has been criticism of the president for the phrase in his memoir that “white folk’s greed runs a world in need,” which has also become a popular sound bite lifted from the audio version of the book.
Whether such a line constitutes racism is difficult to say. Defenders will argue the man was simply quoting a third party while detractors will say that the mere act of utilizing the phrase is over the line because of its content. One possible litmus test might be to ask what would happen had the line been written by a Republican rather than a Democrat but even that would be speculative until a Republican was actually stupid enough to write such a thing.

It’s also instructive to note that, following Rev. Wallis’s call for a boycott, other religious leaders are weighing in with less strident positions. The Associated Baptist Press reports that while Beck’s choice of words regarding social justice may not be entirely articulate some Baptists believe there is something to be said for his underlying meaning.
My guess is that Beck is on to something and that some people are terrified of it. Other broadcasters have made note of the president’s first book and its contents, yet they are not the targets of a boycott. They also do not use this and other mechanisms to expound on the nature of the liberal agenda to the extent that Beck does. Whether the boycott produces its desired result remains to be seen. But if it works with Beck, it’s a sure bet we’ll see the same tactics used on others with whom liberals disagree.

Who is behind the Glen Beck boycott? Why Barrack Hussein Obama and the White House spin machine of course.
The progs are scared to death of this man. My guess is they are scrambling because they really thought this takeover was going to go a lot smoother than it has…that people would not really be aware of what they are up to. When the curtains are drawn away and we see who the players are and what their characters reveal…well to say that the American people are engaged is an understatement….me thinks they doth protest to much!
They're not the only ones who can boycott. I've been calling fora boycott of all liberal corps and groups:
GE, Disney, AARP, CBS and parent Viacom, Time-Warner Cable…. there is no end to them.
We must not allow silence by intimidation — that is what this is really about. The Soros funded groups are malignant.
Boycott, your business. I watch ?Glenn every day. As for advertisers. If they pull then we don't buy their product. Simple as that. Someone should organize and boycott the boycotters.
If I choose to donate to those in need, that is my my choice. If someone takes my goods for those in need, that is theft. Churches and religions have a long tradition of providing help to those in need. Forcing the better off to help is still theft.
It is amazing that those who are the first to demand the separation of Church and State are the first to demand that mine must be given to others.
Of course. BO is behind everything that is screwy and goofy. and useless and costs too much, etc.
When you speak truth to power and have advertisers that will get called in front of a Congressional Committee for advertising on this show, then your board of directors tend to stay away of a show like Glen Beck.
Ask Toyota, Caterpillar, Verizon, AT&T if being called in front of Congress is helping sales or not. It is up to the American people to support these companies that get called up in front of Congress. Until We The People support these companies very few companies will advertise on Glen Beck.
We have a choose to either support Tyranny or support Capitalism. So far Americans are supporting Tyranny. It will take a very LOUD voice too once again support Capitalism. I say it will take at least a 10 Million man March on Washington DC before we turn this around. Socialism is the new norm till then.
My guess why the left wants Glenn Beck off the air is because he's conservative and fun to watch. They'd really love to have O'Reilly or Hannity off the air but that might be too much to take on. For now anyway.
A word of caution to corporations who cave in to these demands. It will never stop and only get worse.
Does anyone have the list of 200 companies so we can do a reverse boycott?
Don't forget Gov't Motors…Buy FORD!
I think Beck's audience can affect the sale of products NOT being advertised far more than the advertiser's boycott
can affect Beck's audience…..
I suggest that Beck list the boycotting advertisers and suggest to his audience that they NOT purchase products
from the boycotters…..
Where do I get a list of all the companies boycotting Beck? I need to know which companies no longer require my patronage.
So ya think we have a "free press" eh? Check out who owns who, and who owns what you think…….

GEICO stands for Government Employee Insurance COmpany. A very progressive history behind this company. Look them up.
Just like Sarah Palin, the thing I like best about Glen Beck is how much the left hates him.
1st: Listen to any Rev. Wallis sermons, you would swear they were written by Marx himself. Wallis is more on the lines of another well known priest, Fr. Joseph Stalin S.J.. Remember Joseph Stalin was an Ordained Catholic Priest before he became one of the 20th Century's most evil people (would call him a Christian).
2nd: Beck has this nasty habit of getting information that the WH doesn't want out.
3rd: The bigger the stink people make about him, the higher his ratings go.
I called Apple HQ today and they have no press release saying that are boycotting Fox or Glenn. I explained the Kurtz story and complained that they need to as him for a retraction.
Beck was more enjoyable when not many people knew who he was. I congratulate him on his success, but he isn't the same since joining Fox News. He's still one of my favorites, but something about him has changed. Not better or worse, just different. Am I the only one who thinks this?
I printed out the list of companies boycotting Beck and I'm working on the list… I will not support these companies if at all possible. Its going to take some time to change phone companies etc. but I don't need starkist …there is a facebook page that was recently started to counter the attack.
You guys are nuts!
Beck use to be alot more light hearted as did I, but things are changing in America and he cannot stand by. He's a great educator and he is telling us serious things now.
Wal-Mart is a disappointment on that list. Their coporate culture has been changing over the years since Sam Walton was in control.
[ Eli's Hammer ] Good post.
"Just the Facts, ma'am!" <–badge 713, Joe Friday)
I'm with you and will also work to boycott others that even blink in the socialist direction. There's lots more of us.
No more Bud for me.
[ Eli's Hammer ] Yep, and he's changed since the early FOX period as well. Good observation. He has somewwhat of a troubled past, and it could just be the manic phase from the long hours and the endless filming.
Finally! This is an opening we have all been waiting for…
The Founding Fathers are frequently dismissed as "old, dead white guys" and thus deemed out of touch or somehow no longer relevant.
Marx? Engels? Kant? Woodrow Wilson? How 'bout FDR or LBJ? ALL "old, dead white guys". Let's hit the "reset" button and have a vigorous debate on the consequences of different philosophical ideas and their practical consequences on the well being of the individual (the world's smallest minority!). Let's compare the economic progress under each "system". How about the morality fostered by each?
Sorry Lefties, any honest analysis of history proves indisputably that your system loses. Your system results in poverty and misery and oppression. Property rights are the foundation of individual rights. Our Constitution, had it been respected and followed, would have been a light to the world never to be equaled. It is not too late! Live it, learn it and pass it along… Do NOT squander this gift! We ARE RIGHT! DO NOT BACK DOWN! DO NOT COMPROMISE!
The DEM/Lefty strategy is to demand $2 when they KNOW you have only one. After you compromise, meet them half way and find yourself left with $.50 they demand a dollar! 100 – .50 – .25 – .12.5 – .0625 – .03125 – .015625…. See the trend? NOTHING left, cause they never surrender, never stop, never go away! We must stand UNITED! The only weapons we need are logic, reason and an honest accounting of history…
SAY IT……….SAY IT! Correct Prof, just like Palin and the Tea Partys
I hear you! thanks
And by the wa, — CBS has a parent company VIACOM, CEO Sumner Redstone; and the third largest shareholder of VIACOM is Goldman Sachs.
Katie Couric is CBS = Goldman Sachs.
.
Unfortunately, with so many companies it's going to take some organization to make an impact. Like targeting five of them for two months straight and then moving on to another five. That's the best way to get more people to participate and to keep from spreading the impact so thin that it becomes nothing. It's hard to remember 200 companies every time you want to buy something, but it's easy to remember five.
I know this sounds nerdy bit put politics aside and focus on Soro's. He is not a socialist, he is a currency speculator. He has made a lot of money "speculating" on shorting currency.
Two questions:
1) Why did he hate Bush so much
2) Why back the Obama horse
It boils down to his published theory of Reflexity. In currency trading, he makes his money shorting currency in flux.
Reflexity is a formulas he published in 87.
Picture a clock:
12 O'clock is the value of a currency
3 O'clock is a hard number (like GDP)
6 O'clock is the public sentiment (Consumer Index)
9 Oclock is a percieved change in currency
12 O'clock is the "new" value of a currency.
(continued)
Question 1,
Why did he hate Bush so much? The currency was too stable. Go ahead and plug in any numbers you research, you will come up with the same results. Our currency and public sentiment was too stable.
Question 2: Why back the Obama horse? Because he knewgetting a spending idealogue in the White house would result in extreme currency fluctation.
Why get rid of Glenn Beck? Because Glenn Beck is teaching a large portion of our country of the conservative, stable principals that could throw a wrench into the plans of de-stabalization.
You're exactly right, boycott GEICO and Progressive insurance company. They are in bed with George Soros.
No more Bud light at Walmart– Walmart a traitor?
The more the hate, the bigger the threat. Who wants those kind of people running a country?

It's so creepy out there, I can't believe it's still America.
Beck is a college dropout / alcoholic / moronic fascist rodeo clown who wears magical mormon underpants.
By causing an economic and political crises in America, the despots will run wild for the next ten years. By the time we get things turned around, wonder what the world will look like?
.
[ Eli's Hammer ] Another Good post. Once again, just the facts. I got hope for you guys yet.
sock puppet
And you're an intolerant racist.
[ Eli's Hammer ] "By the time we get things turned around, wonder what the world will look like?"
The Bloods and the Crips under Ronald Reagan?
The 1987-'90 super recession under…the gimper?
This recession except as it would have been had another Republican carpetbagger been elected?
Oh, I know…the wonderful Cuba under Batista!
.
I was just mentioning this to my boyfriend last night. He has changed….his radio show, pre-tv, was a lot more humor and a lot less politics/end of the world stuff. He was fun to listen to…now he's so serious…sure, he still jokes around, but he's become a lot more politcal in the last two years. He's said so himself, that he wishes he didn't have to do this, but he feels such an immense obligation, a calling almost, to warn the American people of what he sees happening. He's following the leading of his spirit in this whole thing. I believe he's truly doing what he feels God has called him to do. I love Glenn Beck. I miss the old Glenn, sure…but what he's doing now is immeasurably beneficial to this country.
Sad to see so many Americans "support" that hate-mongering anti-Christ fool Beck. Bravo that companies are avoiding him, they're showing their intelligence and by distancing themselves from these blind followers of anti-American hate speech.
I want to see the complete list of companies that are leaving, as they have my FULL support and hence, $.
Now they should do it with Rush and Hannity, who are the truly evil and embarrassing to the thinking public.
I’ve seen Beck a couple of times. Other than that, can’t say I know much about him since I don’t do MSM (including Fox) as a rule. With that said, if Apple and other companies are boycotting Beck, I want to know who they are because I will gladly boycott them back. When big corporations feel the cajones to insert themselves into domestic politics, it’s time to push back big time.
Can someone please provide the URL of web page that has the Beck boycott list? BTW, here’s a list of corporations supporting Al Gore’s desire to inflect Cap & Trade on U.S. consumers – I wonder how many of these firms are on the Beck list:

They dumb our kids while we pay these scumbag profs!
God they are getting scared. Good.
Also, remember who used to be on Color of Change staff and one of the founders – the one, the only Van Jones. Enough said.
As I wrote earlier, Glenn beck is a hero of mine. Anyone watching his show can tell within a few episodes he is actually a self-demeaning, deeply religious man who actually thinks for himself, says what he truly thinks and not what is simply popular at the moment. He has made many conservatives angry at times because of his unrelenting honesty. He has made some mistakes in judgment, but nothing remotely approaching the likes of Keith Olbermann. Far from promoting hatred, he actually pleads with viewers to "come together," and live the core American values that both Democrats & Republicans can agree with.
He is, quite literally, a humble prophet playing the time-honored role of sacred fool. No wonder the competing MSM prophets of Baal want to stone him. No wonder the banking / industrial elite believe he is "dangerous." They have no clothes; they have no souls.
[Eli's Hammer] I don't wish Beck any real harm…because as much as I dis the idiot, I watch him on a regular basis. He is great entertainment and a class one propagandist. (and I mean that in a good way) He is becoming better each day. Now don't think for a millisecond that I buy his swill…but I do so love a guy that is good at what he does. And Beck is more than good.
It is sad, and the left need not fear Beck really…that he does have a predictable streak. Hits a high, then sinks like a lead balloon…fast too! Then he's back up again, even more energized (or manic as I believe) and doing something different. I'm afraid that 6-10 months and Glenn's done on this iteration. He always implodes.
But fear not righties…He will be back again.
.
Classic response when you're losing an argument. Attack the messenger when you can't put a dent in his message. MR. Beck has always been upfront about his personal shortcoming as a younger man. We live and learn from our mistakes. His message and laser-targeted focus, however, are dead-on accurate. Thank god/goddesses/(insert favorite deity here) for Glenn Beck. November 2010 is coming fast.
Here’s one quote from the brilliant Beck… I got 1000’s
"This president, I think, has exposed himself over and over again as a guy who has a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture…. I’m not saying he doesn't like white people…
Wait a minute… in 1 sentence he say's Obama "has a deep-seated hatred for white people" AND IN THE SAME SENTENCE SAYS.. "I'm not saying he doesn't like white people… "
Who would follow this idiot… well… you…
Apple may have, by sheer conjecture and speculation, allegedly muscled an alleged , uspecified vendor of of their electronic parts, that I might or might not know of, for delivery of parts.
See a pattern of intimidation, which cannot be countered, here, in this completely fabricated hypothetical argument?
I will personally not buy the iPad.
I was planning on buying this device, but the force of alleged and speculative and unspecified muscling, has driven the decision from yes to no.
In case the point was not made, my decision is based on a completely hypothetical, speculative and un-actionable desire to be a f$#%^ing free citizen and consumer in a country that I thought respected free speech, unrestrained by the Orwellian newpeak of progressive legalese.
http://defendglenn.com
This is a cowardly act by un American Companies. They are denying Mr. Beck's foundational Constitutional rights. They are absolutely no different than what transpired in Nazi Germany or Stalin's Soviet. I have written several of these companies such as Campbells Soup and P&G and Kraft. They are dishonest and profoundly helping to destroy this country. His message may not be to their liking but he is doing a great service for America. I do not watch him but very occasionally and have never seen a full program. I am not A Republican either. He is entitled to speak and more honest people need to speak up and out to these dishonest companies. They can be identified on Google by typing in Glenn Beck Boycott. Do not expect any one from the left to speak out as they are to the man and woman without honor or integrity.
Would like to see the list lake, boycotting the mini-soros boycotters should be easy -
My sister had her prescriptions at CVS Pharmacy. When she found out they pulled out of Glenn Beck’s Show because he said Obama was a racist. She called them up and moved all of her medicines to a different pharmacy. And told CVS what ever happened to free speech, and that Obama is a racist.
[Eli's Hammer] I'm gonna now go LEFT-WINGER old school…not that PUMA crap.
IF I hear one FAIRNESS DOCTRINE again I'm going to puke.
If we on the left cannot get it together enough to undo these weak ass right wing arguments then we should lie down and call for mommie. I am personally ashamed and repulsed by anyone saying they are from the left and asking for censorship of free-speech,
The Fairness Doctrine is crap…it is anti-American…and it is the tool of the dictator. Real leftists stand before all else for FREE SPEECH at all costs.
(A boycott is not against free speech–it is a time honored tradition)
I find it amazing that the administration has accused Beck of lying but they've never exposed a single lie. I think it's called a smear campaign. I'm disappointed in Apple and other companies that make this decision. In fact, I won't buy another Apple product or any products from companies that boycott Beck. Now if you want to boycott Obama, I'm with you.
Good points Sanmon, but I'm of the belief that there are far more of 'us' then them – if the msm reported accurately, the numbers would show that – I do not and have not supported tyranny. We will definately support any and all companies called in front of Congress, if that decision by Waxman doesn't scare people, nothing will!
I'll watch for the list from lake (the poster above) as to the companies boycotting Beck and will do my part to spread the word. I think it's high time we established a movement that truly supports those worthy of that support, and spreads the word on those companies who should be ashamed of their hypocrisy -
How does one find a donation list for the Color of Change?
Sooo Glad that Obama's BS is being discovered by the voters. Voters will make their choice this November and the Dems. are in serious trouble and they know it. Obama will be weakened in November but he will still have over 2 years to make trouble for the USA and he will!
it's dated 9/09 erp
So, to summarize: All of these large multi-national corporations are so diversified that they all, in one way or another are beholden to some government or another. Correct? GE has a vested interest in "Global Warming" and "Green energy"? Wise not to piss off the AlGoreleone Gang? Got to make those wind power turbines at… how much per copy? Times how many? Careful to criticize China lest that BIG CONTRACT goes to some E.U. firm? Am I on the right track? Is this what you mean? Guess we need some sort of comprehensive expose' to spell it out.
So true. Progressive Insurance is so anti-male it's not even funny. They've been like that going on 10+ yerars now. Obviously, this company started out as a niche firm supllying insurance to a defined liberal group. They were successful and then grew into a big company but they never lost their anti-male messaging.
I wouldn't buy jack from Progressive.
Beck isn't going to go that far, he'll laugh at it knowing full well his audience is wise enough to know how to handle this nonsense.
[ Eli's Hammer ] You people realize that you are calling, writing, texting, posting and calling-out half of the Republican and Conservative companies in the USA don't you? These mega-companies are like big insurance…they are very right wing at the board of directors.
[ Eli's Hammer ] HA! I got by without anyone calling me on the mistake…."Badge 714" it was if the pup hadn't bit my toe as I was imputing the number.
The evidence is staggering – thanks wldbil – fortunately I never watch the msm, I don't do disney, I wouldn't read Time or Fortune in they were free, am not a fan of the Braves, don't have use aol and haven't had HBO in years! As for music, seems I have little discresionary (sp) income left over for such luxuries ~
What are you trying to say? It makes little sense.
Gee PrairieDroppings, hate much? You are factually wrong and morally reprehensible. Glenn Beck is not only not anti-Christ, he completely changed his life due to the introduction of Christ's teachings in his life. You might not like the denomination he joined, but you can not honestly call the man anti-Christ. That is simply good old-fashioned hateful bigotry.
Furthermore, do you have any evidence of Mr. Beck being hateful? I mean saying things that are based on hate, not just the old crypto-commie "I don't like what you say, so I say you hate" canard. Here's a news flash: disagreement is not hate. It's American. Get used to it.
Thanks for showing again just oh how tolerant the Left really is…
BOYCOTT THE BOYCOTTERS!
and you are clueless. Got any data or evidence to back up your claim? Have the nerve to actually debate the issues? I didn't think so. Go troll somewhere else and leave the serious discussion to us adults.
What this country is facing is so serious it can't be under stated – Beck feels that weight as more people tune in to see him unravel the newest mess that we hear everyday – this november will be the most important election of my life!
I have my own personal boycott against Beck and it has nothing to do with any group. It has simply to do with politics and his hit job on Debra Medina back on February 11th. In fact, it doesn't have so much to do with the interview, but his antics after the interview. I lost a great deal of respect for the man that day. It's a shame too. I liked and respected him a great deal before that instant. Now, I've tuned him out and am enjoy listening to Laura Ingraham's show instead.
She would not be able to be a good Governor.
How tyrannical can they get? Ordering private companies to explain to Congress why they are obeying the law Congress just passed.
Hey Ellie,
speaking of being a propagandist…
How has Glenn imploded in the last 7 years? He hasn't. His has been a remarkable trajectory into the stratosphere thanks to the ever increasing numbers of people who find his message resonating. (I know, it's hard for crypto-commies to compete in the court of public opinion, but Glenn has shown all the Air America/BSNBC tools for what they are; talent-free, boring, America-hating polemicists.)
Once again the troll of the day disses the messenger without having the ability or courage to actually refute one word of what Beck says. So very, well, leftist.
shut up hammer, you are so silly it's pathetic. tell us oh wise one, who is your shining example of truth and honesty on your tv or radio? this should be great for a laugh ~
Not even worthy of a reply, just wanted you to know that no answer here does not indicate that anyone bought your crap.
I think you're right, OnCommon. Beck's work has become extremely serious, extremely important.
And Rick Perry is?
I lived in Texas when Rick Perry took office after Bush took office as president. Perry isn't anything to hold up as a conservative hero or as a great governor. He's a political opportunist, nothing more. Perry was Al Gore's 1988 campaign chairman in Texas. Yeah, THAT Al Gore! This was before he switched his party affiliation to Republican in 1990.
Eh. If that's your game, you can play it alone.
I'll buy products from any American company that manufactures a quality product.
Zebo,
I'll get a bunch of thumbs down here for saying this, but I concur with what you say about Beck. I heard the same interview, and like you, I lost respect for Beck for his antics afterward. That was one incident however. Pertaining to Medina, during the interview, she did not do a good job with it. Consequently, they both did a poor job. Beck with his antics, her with her responses. She could NOT answer his questions, without stuttering and stammering like a gibbering idiot. She did not appear as Governor material. All things being considered, it was a draw.
Glenn is on to something….. that is the fundamental overhaul on this country…. can you imagine the security that he has to have just to go outside and do anything….. what he is doing is deadly serious… more than a high stakes poker game for sure…. the people at the top have been planning this for over 60 years and now, just now it has come to fruition…. the people be damned…..kill the constitution… if the sorry soro's group could ever figure out how to get the guns out of the peoples hands….. game over…. its jack boots in the streets…our problem is that tooooo many have said that the US is just tooooo big to fail….. and something like that could never happen here…… (the same ones who said that GM was toooo big to fail….. well guess what ….. Glenn is the only one on TV (including Oreally) that has the cahoooneys to tell the rest of us what is happening behind door number 2.
Clearly you already spend too much time in the emerald city.
I agree that Glenn may have contradicted himself here, but that doesn't mean he is wrong. Our socialist-in-chief attended church meetings for 20 years listening to a raving lunatic of a racist "minister" preach black liberation theology (that's Marxist racism cloaked in an urban Jesus-type sentiment) and who knows what else. It certainly wasn't the gospel of Jesus Christ. This fact alone makes it not at all a logical reach to believe that BHO doesn't dig Whitey.
Is this a joke….I didn't know this about Apple….end of the apps for my son. If Glenn Beck goes, we all go with him. They are afraid of him,,,,he is striking a cord they are twisting and turning to try and get to him. GO GLENN…there should be no one to stop you in teaching us some of the most important history and honest depiction of the Obama administration.
Glenn Beck is the lead battle of the Obama War on Fox News. If the Left doesn't agree with what you're saying, they try and shout you down. If they can't shout you down, they try and shut you down.
They're thugs.
yeaaaaaaaaa right seemyass, you are so foul and beyond dense, just stop posting your nonsense – dumbass
Here's the deal: The Progressives as they are now calling themselves, or Marxist, Socialist, Communist, Fascist whatever name of the day will always follow this primary rule: They always assign their own behavior to you, opposition, target, etc. If you realize this, you will always see them coming and know what they are planning or have been doing because they will announce and assign the behavior to their target. So, why do they attack GB and what is it they say about him? Now you know what and why they are doing it.
Sorry AZ, but Soros IS a socialiast, among other things as you point out….
George Soros is likely the single most vile creature on the planet. He funds numerous 'fronts' such as MediaMatters and other groups in a vast left wing conspiracy pushing the progressive agenda and doing whatever he can to help provide cover for his boy Barry.
The economic Manchurian candidate Comrade Obama is working diligently to finish off the Nation's economy using the Cloward Piven collapse strategy.
Once the Country is brought to it's knees, the Nazi collaborator and convicted felon Soros will come in and pick the bones clean with his currency speculation plan…
You can bet your ass, that is the plan, unless we can stop it…

I agree with you about numbers of US, but that no longer matters. Health Care reform proved that the numbers no longer matter. This is now about the power of Socialism VS Capitalism. The socialist control the message. We must take back the message. Are you willing to be called a Racist or worse in order to ensure Liberty for your children and your grandchildren? Are you willing to be taken to court for standing up for Freedom?
This is not going to be an easy fight. We must stomp out the Socialist agenda so it will not rise again in this country for the next 100 years!
Conservatives STAND UP …..stop, look and listen to what is happening to us. GLENN NEEDS ANOTHER MARCH LIKE THE ONE ON 9/12. IT NEEDS TO BE ONE OF MASS PROPORTIONS!!! Glenn, get us together, and we will march for you and with you, arm in arm, unlike Pelosi showing us little peons we are nothing, meaningless little specs of dust.
Mr/Ms “OZ”,
CONTEXT is such an aggravating nuisance for BS blowers… I realize that.
BUT, if you’re going to shoot a man… at least use Truth for bullets, and not horse pellets of Innuendo and ‘creative editing’.
Here is your “quote”… IN CONTEXT (a context that deals specifically, and SOLELY with that ilk of humanity that will use ANY misfortune ~ real, OR contrived ~ to MILK A SYSTEM OR PEOPLE till there’s no more blood in the turnip. In THAT context, I concur with Mr. Beck.
“Life” ~ and all its twisted possibilities ~ happens to nearly ALL men, and hurts like Hell in EACH CASE. But to camp out on the ash heap, and REFUSE TO MOVE ON, for life… and to no more to rebuild or improve your lot than scream how much the world “owes” you a better setup… is reserved for foolish children, and useless fools).

–Glenn Beck, Sept. 9, 2005
BECK: Let me be real honest with you. I don’t think anybody on talk radio — I don’t think anybody in their right mind is going to say this out loud — but I wonder if I’m the only one that feels this way. Yesterday, when I saw the ATM cards being handed out, the $2,000 ATM cards, and they were being handed out at the Astrodome. And they actually had to close the Astrodome and seal it off for a while because there was a near-riot trying to get to these ATM cards. My first thought was, it’s not like they’re going to run out of the $2,000 ATM cards. You can wait! You know, stand in line. Maybe it’s because I’m the kind of guy, when I go to a buffet, I either have to be first in line, or I’m the very last. Because I know there’s going to be extra food, and I just won’t stand in the line. I’ll wait until all the suckers go get their food, and then I’ll go get mine. Or if I’m really hungry, I hate to admit this — and really, I don’t even have to be really hungry. If I’m really being a pig, I will kind of, like, hang out around the buffet table before the line is — you know, chat with people right around the table: “Oh, they just opened the line! Let’s go!” And then you’re first in line.
When you are rioting for these tickets, or these ATM cards, the second thing that came to mind was — and this is horrible to say, and I wonder if I’m alone in this — you know it took me about a year to start hating the 9-11 victims’ families? Took me about a year. And I had such compassion for them, and I really wanted to help them, and I was behind, you know, “Let’s give them money, let’s get this started.” All of this stuff. And I really didn’t — of the 3,000 victims’ families, I don’t hate all of them. Probably about 10 of them. And when I see a 9-11 victim family on television, or whatever, I’m just like, “Oh shut up!” I’m so sick of them because they’re always complaining. And we did our best for them. And, again, it’s only about 10.
But the second thought I had when I saw these people and they had to shut down the Astrodome and lock it down, I thought: I didn’t think I could hate victims faster than the 9-11 victims. These guys — you know it’s really sad. We’re not hearing anything about Mississippi. We’re not hearing anything about Alabama. We’re hearing about the victims in New Orleans. This is a 90,000-square-mile disaster site, New Orleans is 181 square miles. A hundred and — 0.2 percent of the disaster area is New Orleans! And that’s all we’re hearing about, are the people in New Orleans. Those are the only ones we’re seeing on television are the scumbags — and again, it’s not all the people in New Orleans. Most of the people in New Orleans got out! It’s just a small percentage of those who were left in New Orleans, or who decided to stay in New Orleans, and they’re getting all the attention. It’s exactly like the 9-11 victims’ families. There’s about 10 of them that are spoiling it for everybody.”
Zebo,
You are right. Stinks to be a political opportunist, eh? No different than Arlen Spinchter switching from Democrat, to Republican, back to Democrat last year. It is a crock!
I know that Debra Medina didn't do a good job with the interview but for him to characterize what she said as support for 9/11 truthers was completely off-base.
He said that he had received a lot of input regarding her supposed support of the 9/11 thruther movement. It was a completely made-up accusation concocted to cast doubt into her growing support. Her response was less than stellar, but you would be too if you were hit with an accusation that you had never heard of before from someone on the national scene and with as much political clout as Beck (whose underling Pat Gray worked for a supporter of Rick Perry when he lived in Texas).
It wasn't quite a draw because Beck's interview put the "hard brakes" on Medina's momentum in the campaign. She was immediately put on the defensive, countering the false accusations and it largely derailed her campaign. Still, she garnered 18.6% of the vote, despite Beck's attack and labeling her as a nut job.
At the time of the Beck's interview, any of the GOP candidates would have bettered Bill White. As it stands now, Bill White is within striking distance of Perry in recent polls.

Don't be surprised if the anti-incumbent sentiment plus the alienation of much of the GOP electorate sends Bill White into the Governor's mansion in Ausitn.

I think you're on to something there…The others are too well established to be affected by any kind of boycott, but Beck is fairly new to the Conserv cause, so he becomes the easy "low hanging fruit", easier to pick off…
Personally, I don't care much for him or O'Rilley, or Hannity…I prefer the radio blaber mouths, like Rush, Lavin, Medved, or even Savage over Beck…
You won't get any arguments from me about Arlen Specter or Joseph Leiberman, Lincoln Chaffee (the likely next governor of Rhode Island) or any other political animal.
soros is the greek word for "a heap". almost seems appropriate.
