What’s the difference between this guy:

That would be CNN’s crackerjack anchorman Ron Burgundy, er, Rick Sanchez — yes, the same Rick Sanchez who hit a man while driving drunk in Miami, a man who later died. The same Rick Sanchez who is CNN’s most smug, sanctimonious and annoying talking head. And also, from the evidence in this clip, the dumbest. Ad lib, a tease — break:

How does Sanchez keep a job? He must have photos of Larry King or Anderson Cooper, or maybe even Ted Turner. That is the only explanation.
This is hilarious. Rick Sanchez is a journalist like Barack Obama is a statesman and Al Gore is a scientist.
Sahchez "explains" exactly WHERE his favorite president was "born":http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCQwRChSayI
Ron Burgandy is a freakin' GENIUS compared to Rick "Dirty" Sanchez!
LOL!
Freudian for sure!
I think Cooper has incriminating pix of Sanchez…with Pooper.
Well, this made me laugh. Thanks.
In the Land of the Politically tone DEAF, the cronically DUMB, and the hopelessly BLIND,
Rick Sanchez IS king…
In fact he won the tallest mental midget contest recently….
OMG! How did I miss this one? What a tool. Shouldn't this guy be working for MSNBC or something? Not to give CNN credit or anything, but I mean, this is the sort of thing Maddow or Brewer does.
He's like the media's version of the village idiot. Beck's right. How did this guy get on TV? I'm sure CNN could find 50 good looking guys who could recite the news and sound credible. WTF?????
Ron Burgundy it is! Thank you so much for pointing that out to me. The volcanoes in the cold parts of the world were particularly troubling for Mr. Burgundy. He's in the laboratory now working on his latest theory.
.
"Here's your sign…"
bet0001970,
If you followed Hillary's idiotic "it takes a village" book in raising children, you'd get villiage idiots like this schmuck!
You know, that was another thing. It's like he never went to school. Where did he get the notion that volcanos only form on tropical islands? They form EVERYWHERE! Even under water Mr. Burgandy. How can CNN put someone this stupid on the air? Don't they know he'll eventually behave like a complete jackass?
Rick Sanchez is such a piece of work, what an embarrassment.
How was Soraya?
TR
Movies like that are not my cup 'o Tea…
Very well acted and realistic… But the subject matter…
Women as property of the husband is very barbaric….
Figures, coming from that culture…
Just wanted to flag this post for use of the term "Dirty Sanchez."
We don't like the use of vulgar terms like "Teabaggers," so "Dirty Sanchez" should definitely not start getting tossed around, especially by people who might not know that the term is EXTREMELY vulgar/sexual and even racial.
For a definition of this slang term: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?page=2&...
He actually did work for MSNBC and CNBC before coming to CNN.
Are you kidding me?????
The only reason I'm posting on this topic is so I can use the term. Repeatedly.
Dirty Sanchez!
Dirty Sanchez!
Dirty Sanchez!
You hear that Rick? You dirty, dirty Sanchez…(I'm sooo getting banned from this site)
Hey Tex. I saw that when it came out on DVD myself. I've seen maybe ten stonings. It was realistic enough. Clearly dramatized for effect. But that's pretty much the gist of it. I read stories about people coming out of the theaters crying. Drifter's right, for our culture, it is barbaric. I simply can't imagine a God who would condone the oppression of half his people simply because they had different sexual organs. It's insane to our rationale.
Anyway, every 18 year old in America should see this film. Period. I think boys would respect girls a little more and girls might respect themselves a little more. And I think they might be a little more grateful for what they have and the country they live in. It's not an easy film, but it's a hell of lot easier than having to have lived it.
Well there you go! I'm totally psychic!
And in the interest of furthering a vulger/sexual slur: Rick is a Dirty Sanchez!
If Big sites contributors and cartoonists James Hudnall and Batton Lash can get away with this you should be fine.
Oh my…that was delicious!
They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time it works, every time
Wow! Now I know for sure I am not missing anything on CNN…if I need comedic relief, I will stick with Beck on the Radio, or Rush…I prefer my humor with satire and not so much idiotic statements!
Priceless commentary…..thanks…Ha Ha Ha LOL!
The only thing that can be said about Rick Sanchez is that he's an unrepentant drunk driver.
I do believe that the venerable Rick Sanchez would be a more than capable replacement for KO-KO the Klown in the 8:00 time slot at MessNBC when the Klown gets kanned. There is absolutely no doubt that Snachez knows something that the owners of CNN do not want out, hence he can continue his gig there until he decides tp move on. No doubt, if MessNBC does not pick him up, the Obama administration will find a high level position for him. He meets all of the criteria for employment with that group!!
Oh come on, Ron Burgundy has standards and intelligence. Besides I don't think Burgundy has ever been involved in a drunk driving hit and run leaving someone to eventually die from their injuries.
He worked for WSVN in Miami, went to MSNBC, returned to WSVN in Miami for a while, then when to CNN. (all after a drunk driving hit and run)
Back during the Elaine Gonzalez story the Miami/Broward New Time's magazine called Sanchez a puppet of Castro for his views on the story. I always thought of the New Times magazine as being to the left. This is also interesting because Sanchez is Cuban and his parents fled the dictator.
It seems to me he fits in rather well.
I remember he was talking with a conservative representative of something and it was a reasonable discussion. As soon as the discussion was over and the conservative was off the air, Rick was talking with one of his fellow talking heads and he was making all sorts of smarmy comments. He didn't have the guts to actually say this things to the person's face. But waited until the person couldn't defend herself and made some real cheap comments.
I always figured the guy was a douche bag but this episode totally confirmed. It's nice to see that I'm not the only person around that realizes it.
The feckless, drunk-driving, leaving -the-scene-of -the-accident Rick Sanchez has some friends from the Florida National Guard that would love to see him again.
What part of that is "racial" you small penised clown?
Since he calls us "teabaggers", can we call him "Dirty Sanchez"?
[...] » Ad Lib, a Tease: Is Rick Sanchez Really Ron Burgundy In Disguise … [...]
It's "Dick" Sanchez if you please!
Regarding the film, "The Stoning of Soraya M," bet0001970, you seem to write from experience. "I've seen maybe ten stonings." Care to elaborate a bit?
Thanks for your input. Maybe one of these days, we will watch the film. I agree that the people in this country need to be shown, at an early age, just how fortunate they are. And just how evil some other people are.
"Eyjafjallajokull"
For the life of me, I don't understand how those in Iceland can actually speak their language…
They all got it wrong: Sanchez was thinking about the long word, "Kilauea," as in the volcano of that name in Hawaii. Still wrong, of course, because the volcano in Iceland is named, "Eyjafjallajokull," which is a really long word.
The point Sanchez missed, of course, is that Iceland is too cold for volcanoes. /sarc
So a big-shot on-air "personality" at CNN is not bright—not exactly late-breaking news.
Simple…
Rick Sanchez is Mexican.
"Dirty Sanchez" is sexual slang for using feces to make a mustache on one's sexual partner's face…resembling a Mexican, mustached vaquero.
Eeeeeeeasy, there Jamesb.
Calm Down. Breathe. Everything's gonna be just alright.
I'm not liberal…I'm extremely conservative.
I was just calling a "foul" a "foul." People just keep crying about how nasty the use of the term "Tea-bagger" is, so I'm just curious how using the term "Dirty Sanchez" is any better.
I don't get what made you so angry at my original reply.
Maybe you're just one of those people who likes to post your clever thoughts online with a huge bravado?
Anyway – if you're a conservative…have some decency and act like one.
Well, in my old line of work…you come across that kind of stuff. That's about all I can say. I've seen some pretty horrific stuff. I've seen footage of them throwing people off buildings, hangings, and lashings. I've seen women and men being doused with various types of fuel and set on fire. I've seen women being hacked apart with axes. Those are bad. The thing is…they actually film this stuff. Like their proud of it. It's the honor thing attached to it. I still don't fully comprehend it. Sometimes it's men, but mostly the women are the victims. Sharia law is b!tch.
But by far the worse thing I have ever seen was an impalement. After awhile, your stomach just sort of hardens to this stuff. You know what's coming. But the impalement…that one stuck with me for years. That was a tough one. Eventually, the memory of it started to fade. However the one thing I remember was the agony on the man's face while the onlookers celebrated as if they were at a soccer game. It was truly mindboggling.
That's one thing I learned. Death is entertainment, same as here. Only there…it's real.
Being mostly Mexican American I don't see that. I'm tired of "P.C." a favorite tactic of the left.
Hey, I'm fine. I don't need "long distance psycho analyisis". I'm a conservative who is sick and fucking tired of the "Right" playing by Marquis of Queensbury and the Left CRAPS ALL OVER US.
No more. Fire with fire, obsenities with obsenities and no holds barred.
Enough John McCain/RINO namby pamby bullshit. Being "nice" has gotten us EXACTLY where we are today.
I aplogogize to you personally but I will keep up my attacks as I see fit, profane and low down as possible wherer warranted.
Sanchez is CUBAN. I know all us "minorities" look alike…I'd be the "mostly Mexican" in this thread.
Apology accepted.
Besides name calling and angrily writing cleverly phrased posts…what GOOD do you actually hope to be doing for conservatives? What's your GOAL?
Maybe you just need a place to shout about all that you're feeling?
Anyway – Good luck.
I'm a member of College Republicans a Tea Party member, and active in the local GOP in West Texas. I'm starting work preping for the LSAT (with university advisor guidance) and hope to (and will) work for the Texas GOP after my education is complete.
I walk the walk and shout the insults. I engage liberals toe to toe and in a modern gladitorial manner that is very gratifying and rhetorically intimidating to the unprepared or unskilled.
I'm tired of the GOP being a punching bag. I punch back – hard (rhetorically), it's what I do.
How are you advancing the cause of preventing the destruction of our freedoms and subjugation of the working class tax payers in our country in favor of a small cabal of elites?
Wow – impressive run-on interrogative sentence.
I'm actually more fascinated with FAITH than I am with politics, though. And I don't put down people who put their heart into political battles, but I'm more interested in WHY we've come to the point we've come to. I believe we're in the position we are in as a country because we have lost our trust in God. As a result of THAT…we're losing our freedom.
Like you I went and got a degree in a field that I love. My first degree was theology…and then I got a Master's in Film Direction. My hope is to try and slowly turn man's attention back to God.
I know none of the above specifically answers your question, though, because my goals are not the same as yours. I'm not trying to fight for the GOP or ANY party. I'm fighting for America's heart to turn back to God.
I applaude your faith and agree that the degradation of faith in our country is leading into a spiral of hopelessness and despair. I'm not a hypocrite though, I keep my faith more to my self and advocate smaller government and a return to the fudementals of our Constitution but agree and hopr that faith and religion will be a bigger part of all our lives.
I'm horrified by some things I see in media and a general disrespect fpr religion and religious people. Liberal secularists are a bane to our existance.
Please don't play "English professor with me. I write stream of conscientious, flaw included. A run on sentence? What? It's readable and it's how I speak. It's been very effective for me and I stick with what works. Invariable when someone "goes teacher" they make the next mistake.
Stick to substanative critique. I don't check spell either, how am I doing there?
