Helen Thomas is as fair and open minded as she is good looking. The most senior (she turns 90 this summer) of White-House correspondents has given up being a real reporter and instead spends her time spewing venom at America’s war on terror and/or anything Israel does. For example during the 2008/09 Israeli battle with Hamas in Gaza, Thomas was interviewed by NPR and compared the IDF action to Nazi Germany
I mean, you can’t remain neutral. I remember the rabbi who spoke at the Martin Luther King march on Washington. Heschel had a cameo appearance, and he said, “The greatest sin of all in the Nazi era was silence.” When you remain silent to the suffering and the incredible aggression against a people, then you are culpable.
Just two days ago Thomas berated Robert Gibbs for America’s initial reaction to the violence created by the Guerrilla Flotilla; she said Israel committed a deliberate massacre, international crime, and called Israel a terrorist state.
I used to attribute Thomas’ venom to the combination of her liberal leanings and Lebanese heritage, but the video below indicates that her intentions are more nefarious than that: Thomas is just not a big fan of the Jewish people.
My friend, Rabbi David Nessenoff, an award winning film-maker, visited the White House for the Jewish Heritage Month Ceremonies. There, he had the chance to meet Helen Thomas and asked her about Israel:

There are some people who believe that any criticism of Israel is anti-Semitism. That belief is as ignorant as anti-Semitism itself. There is however, a great deal of crossover between hatred of Israel and hatred of the Jews. To find out what people really mean you need to examine the words they use.
Helen Thomas’ comparing of the IDF to Nazi Germany is nothing but an attempt to water-down the horror of the Holocaust, and to dehumanize Israel. And her advice to the Jews to get the hell out of Palestine, and go back to Poland and Germany is nothing short of anti-Semitism. If Thomas’ comments were directed toward any other group but the Jews, she would have been out of work a very long time ago. Maybe it’s time for Helen’s bosses to retire her to the The Home For Crazy Old Anti-Semites.

WASHINGTON — Secret Service officers have subdued two men who refused to get out of the street as Obama's motorcade was returning to the White House.
Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan says Obama was returning Thursday night from a school event for one of his daughters when the men refused to move out of the way of the presidential motorcade.
A uniformed Secret Service officer was seen lying on top of one man and another officer wrestled with the second man.
Donovan says the men, who were using profanity, were charged with assaulting a police officer and failure to obey a lawful order. He didn't have their identities.
Donovan says the incident appeared to be a random event and not an organized attempt to block the president's motorcade.

When you say your prayers you should thank God that there are men and women willing to see far beyond their political and moral beliefs, and do this vital and dangerous work. Israel was the free worlds response to the greatest crime in the history of modern man. If it were up to me I would have given them a piece of Germany and made it a sovereign country with access to the water. But, Israel was what history gave them. They only want to live in peace and all they get is attacked. As the prime minister of Israel once said so long as they love death more than they love their children than peace is not possible. Frankly if they are seeking death than that is what they will find.

The moment our security services, police, secret service, military, begin armed conflict with the population the legitimacy of the Presidency and the government itself would be at risk and in question. Here is my take on loyalty to the POTUS.
DOJ – Let's face it, they are primarily comprised of Hawvard / Yale lawyers. 'Nuff said.
CIA – If there are no foes, there is no need for intelligence. Primarily patriotic types who love America and hate commie bastards and lawyers.
DOD – Made up of people who come primarily from what progs call "fly-over" states. They love their Mom, apple pie, America, freedom and things that go boom! They will never turn on their own.
So while the Secret Service and DOJ may look to preserve the Office of the President, the CIA and DOD preserve our freedom. When they take an oath to support and defend the Constitution, it is against enemies foreign and domestic. The support and defense of the Constitution comes before obeying orders of the POTUS. I think that is by design.
The wild card will be unionized LEO who put the organization first and foremost. This is something every American should think about. What would you do if martial law were declared? Do you know who your Police Chief is and where his loyalties lie? Sheriff's Departments tend to be made up of more patriotic types and have less of a Napoleon complex. Local PD's want all the guns and tactical gear they can get their hands on, but they don't want Joe Public to have the same access. See, they (like Chairman O) know best how to protect you and your family. SD's are comprised of people you went to HS, camping, church, dinner, bbq and played football with. They will teach you how to use that re-loader instead of confiscating it.

If that ever happened, the POTUS would be guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors; the military generals and admirals would not carry out those orders and would most likely tell Congress it's time to replace the president. God help us if that day ever comes. However, one thing that has me worried about Obama is his desire for a national security force that answers only to him and his administration. THEIR oath is not to the Constitution, but to the hand that feeds them. Then we very easily could decline into a civil war.
