Like many others, I spent much of today watching in horror the shooting of 19 people including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. It was a tragedy not only for the families of the victims but for all of America.
The shooter’s name was Jared Lee Loughner. Almost immediately the Left raced to say the shooting was the fault of Sarah Palin and the Tea Party, the Right countered that evidence shows Loughner was an ultra liberal. You wouldn’t know it by some of the coverage, but Loughner wasn’t a Democrat, Republican, Conservative or Liberal the guy was a die hard member of the Psycho Party.
Markos Moulitsas, the head of the Daily Kos started it off the blame game feeding frenzy but backed off a bit when he realized that his site had also “targeted” Giffords
That kind of reaction is expected from the Kos guru whose progressiveness often supersedes his humanity.
Also not surprising was MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann who exploited the tragedy to rant against his usual opponents, Republicans, Sarah Palin, Tea Party and Glenn Beck. It is a wonder how he keeps his audience of 15 people.
Economist/ NY Times columnist Paul Krugman found a way to tie Glenn Back and Rush Limbaugh to the shooting:
You know that Republicans will yell about the evils of partisanship whenever anyone tries to make a connection between the rhetoric of Beck, Limbaugh, etc. and the violence I fear we’re going to see in the months and years ahead. But violent acts are what happen when you create a climate of hate. And it’s long past time for the GOP’s leaders to take a stand against the hate-mongers.
Then he disabled his comments because too many good people disagreed with him. By the way if anyone sees Krugman please let him know that MIT called, they want their PHD back, they say he is an idiot and he is giving the school a bad name.
The once proud CBS News ran their slanted version of the story, placing blame on Governor Palin:
But critics of Sarah Palin have already drawn a link between the shooting and the fact that the former Alaska governor put Giffords on a “target list” of lawmakers Palin wanted to see unseated in the midterm elections.
In March, Palin released a map featuring 20 House Democrats that used crosshairs images to show their districts. (You can see it here.) Critics suggested at the time that she was inciting violence by using the crosshairs imagery and for later writing on Twitter to her supporters, “‘Don’t Retreat, Instead – RELOAD!’”
Even CNN tried to exploit the horror for the progressive left by placing the blame on Sarah Palin and the right.
There were also people on the conservative side exploiting the tragedy, arguing that Loughner was a left-winger based on a tweet from a supposed high school friend and the fact that one of the killer’s favorite books was the Communist Manifesto.
All of this blame gaming is asinine. One could also say because Congresswoman Giffords is a big supporter of Israel, President Obama’s anti-Israel rhetoric caused the shooting of the representative, but that would be as idiotic as the other excuses. For Pete’s sake, today (Sunday) Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik appeared on Fox News and implied that the reason for the shooting was the Congressional GOP’s blockage of President Obama’s agenda. This blame game is madness.
Both the right and left are wrong! The attempts to exploit this horrible event for political gain are disgusting. Just by watching his videos, you can tell that Jared Lee Loughner’s unspeakable act was not motivated by politics, it was the act of a very sick mind. The videos he put up on you tube were nothing but disjointed rantings about mind control,his hatred of religion, the gold standard and the abuse of the English language.
In conclusion, reading the second United States Constitution, I can’t trust the government because of the ratifications: The government is implying mind control and brainwash 0n the people by controlling grammar.
No! I won’t pay debt with a currency that’s not backed by gold and silver!
No! I won’t trust in God!

It would be a much better world if MSNBC didn’t show serial hater Keith Olberman but instead showed nine-year-old Christina Taylor Green, whose neighbors took her to meet Rep. Giffords today so she can see how government works. The nine-year-old lost her life today.
The Arizona Republic reports:
A neighbor was going to the Giffords event and invited Christina along because she thought she would enjoy it, said her uncle, Greg Segalini.
Christina had just been elected to the student council at her school. The event, held outside a Safeway supermarket north of Tucson, was an opportunity for constituents to meet Giffords and talk about any concerns they had related to the federal government.
“The next thing you know this happened. How do you prepare for something like this. My little niece got killed-took one on the chest and she is dead,” Segalini said outside the girl’s house.
Its incredible that CBS found the time to exploit the shooting for it’s own progressive slant, but didn’t have the time to show this picture, or to tell Christina’s story in their report.
Christina was born on 9/11/01 thus her picture was featured in the book by Christine Pisera Naman, entitled Faces of Hope, Babies Born on 9/11. Christina’s birth brought hope to America, taught us that in the face of tragedy life goes on. Her death was used by the media to destroy hope and generate political divisiveness, a sad tribute to this young girl’s life.

So horribly unlike 9/11 when tragedy and then leadership brought us together as a nation.
If anybody is to blame for this shooting it is the left-wing fascist Democrats. For decades the Democrats have been preaching the gospel of the "empowered" victim (read "loser"). This is straight out of Lenin's book of tactics. Victimhood has been defined as sainthood by the leftists and anyone who feels left out or marginalized now has a reason to feel that they are morally superior. They have learned this in government schools. Many “victims” will also feel entitled to violently lash out. We see it all the time now and it’s always those who feel that the world owes them an apology, a living, recognition, etc. The shooters at Columbine definitely fit the leftists’ profile of self-proclaimed, self-righteous “victims/beautiful losers” and I'll bet you this latest shooter does too.
Of course it’s usually lively, vibrant diverses who feel justified about acting out violently–especially against Whites, but at this point anyone who feels they are a victim has been empowered by left-wing fascists to take revenge any way they see fit. This is just one more disgusting facet of the evil left-wing narrative espoused by the Democrats.
And of course the leftists can’t blame themselves. They have no morals or ethics and don’t really care who gets killed as long as they can blame somebody besides themselves. Just look at the deadly nature of ObamaCare and so much other leftist legislation for that matter. This is also consistent with the leftists' plan to make it illegal to defend ourselves against violent attack. Leftists would much rather we be killed by insane, self-proclaimed "victims" or just common criminals (also the darlings of the left). Leftists are all liars, cheats and thieves and they will use this shooting to support their destructive agenda.
Libs are very good at advancing their talking points when they are in a circle jerk with other libs, convincing each other of how smart and how right they are.
But as soon as they get some push back, they take down their posts or ask for the rhetoric to cool down. Or put another way, when faced with the truth they have nothing to say.
It seems to me that the 80% of America that isn't liberal needs to continue to stand up to the radical minority in government and media and education that is taking the country to the brink of financial and moral collapse.

Nov 2nd was a political shot across the bow, yesterday was a cultural shot across the bow, demonstrating the depths the left will go to to besmirch their opponents, bringing up (as usual) the subjects of gun control and free speech.

Christina Green is also the granddaughter of Former Philadelphia Phillies manager and Chicago Cubs GM Dallas Green. UHHH, that would have been big-tv, among others, myself included–pointing out that ABC "news" left that small detail out of their article, after quoting from that very same classmate that that quote came from.
Y'know what? My own 22-year-old daughter was murdered just a little over a month ago. Believe me, everyone, when I say sorrow and pain, shock, anguish and mourning are completely non-partisan and non-discriminatory. Sometimes you have to experience it to learn it. My heart, my thoughts and my prayers, are with the families who lost loved ones in this tragedy. Long after the media circus and its clowns have packed up and moved on to the next sideshow, they –not CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX, et. al.– will still be living with this horror. They will be for the rest of their lives, I'm afraid.

I don't know about "the system working"–the tragedy of 9/11 got us involved in two wars and wrought the DHS and the TSA, plus the DEA is now another out of control agency acting under the name of fighting terror.

When Sarah Palin's likeness was hanging by a rope (as art) not one of these morons complained. They cheered. When movies and books were made about the assassination of George W. Bush, they were held up as art. They are pathetic creatures, yes creatures. They cannot be reasoned with because they don't possess any rationale. Everything to them is political. Everything.

I feel sorry that they wake up everyday looking to be offended, to find scapegoats even if they have to make them up. At least not from what I saw of interviews with her. She was one Democrat who didn't sound like she spoke from printed talking points. That's rare these days. I hope the best for her and her family. They don't deserve this kind of treatment and be used as a political chess piece.

He knew she made herself vulnerable in public areas and knew if he shot her that it would get a lot of attention. That could have been enough motivation without a real-world political cause.

There did seem to be a bit of moral equivolency though, comparing the attempts of the right to show that the shooter wasn't one of ours to the left's attempt to pin him on us. I haven't seen any big names on the right engaged in this so much as bloggers and commentors while the big names on the left are only now starting to pull back on the smear campaign.

This is NOT a "both sides do it" thing. The left wing/Democrats/MSM immediately jumped into action to blame Sarah Palin and the right wing for this, before the smoke even cleared. As always, we on the right are busy trying to defend ourselves from the hate filled rhetoric of the left, and this time they are blaming us for the attempted murder of a Congresswoman.
WE are blaming the shooter himself, and we recognize this to be a tragedy. The Left are the ones politicizing this, blaming Sarah Palin, talk radio, the Tea Parties, and the right wing in general. They are the ones cheapening a horrific crime to turn it into political talking points. One thing I promise you is that you will be seeing this used for Democrat political ads next year, especially if Sarah Palin decides to run. The left/Democrats have no morals, no values, and no conscience.

Well, at the time, progressives couldn't figure out how to spin it to their political advantage, so they decided to play nice until the inevitable conspiracy theories emerged.
The Left if talking to itself about itself. They fantasize about a righteous Malcolm X kind of figure who will lead them in an uprising of the oppressed. Just say the word! They think they might do it if the right voice made the call. They hope for and fear the charismatic strong man of action. Like Maher said, he wanted a gangsta with a gun down his pants; gets things done, knocks some heads together. Penn wants to lock up people who object to Chavismo. The fat filmmaker romanticizes a gulag island where there are very few fat people and even fewer filmmakers.
So they figure everyone else acts and dreams more or less the same thing, but they are wrong. The American Right owes more to Buckley and Friedman than to anyone as dangerous as Che or Mao or Castro or any number of heroes to the Left. They are superbly attuned to violent imagery on the Right because they seek it out on the Left.
And they get to show off their morally preening natures, simply more advanced than the reactionary troglodytes stuck in ideas written over a hundred years ago! Very unfashionable, like mullets and leg warmers only worse, because those ideas are so much older! Founders, cavemen, whatever, it was all so long ago and we are soo much smarter now. The Leftist imagines conservatives as likely to fly into violence if looked at directly in the eye or if there is a sudden loud noise. Careful what you say around them, they are primitive and unpredictable.
They cannot help themselves. They say stupid, unsupported, irresponsible things because they almost believe them. Sarah Palin makes them crazy, after all. So she's responsible for crazy people. QED.
The victims of this horrible, unthinkable act are in my thoughts and prayers.
That being said, it's disgusting how the MSM chooses to blame Sarah Palin. Liberalism really is a mental disorder. Were I Rep. Gifford's husband, there would be more than a few teeth hitting the ground, with special attention being paid to MSNBC and that pack of bottom feeders they call commentators. The shooter was a violent, mentally disturbed liberal. They foment violence with their hatred.

I wish Bill Clinton would have done SOMETHING when these terrorists thought they had full reign to blow up Marine barracks, blasting holes in Navy ships, and their first attempt to bring down the World Trade Center. Had 'ol Bill reacted they might not have gotten so brave.
It's obvious by now that this was a hit ordered by Obama, Howard Dean, and Pelosi in order to blame conservatives. Giffords was a sacrificial lamb.

Exactly right. The MSM didn't even mention the burning of Sarah's church, with people inside!! Excellerant was placed at all exits too, to make it difficult for people inside to get out. I'd call that attempted murder. Yet, no one has been found or prosecuted for that crime.
