There’s an old saying that when you scratch a person you see what lies beneath their skin. People are defined under pressure. The press, the Administration and its allies are under pressure and what we’re seeing under their skin is something similar to the scaled aliens in the TV show “V”. The methods being employed in recent days is borderline fascist. Take that Frank Rich.

There’s an attempt to brand any dissenters of this administration as being crazed and dangerous radicals. CBS made the claim that the Tea Party is made up almost entirely of older white people, which is media code for “racist”. Apparently, having a group of white people is equal to the Klan or a Nazi march. Which is fascinating because CBS, MSNBC, et al. are groups made up mostly of older white people. Bust out the schnapps!
Of course, CBS has a poor record of polling, as theirs tends to be skewed. Gallup did a poll of Tea Partiers that found they were very close to the American mainstream except for having fewer Democrats. And this is what scares the establishment. The mainstream is against them. So they’ve decided to attack the Tea Party — and, by extension, ordinary Americans — as never before.
First they ignored them, then they mocked them, now they’re attacking them. Sounds familiar. Oh, yes…I remember now. Gandhi said it:
First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.
The Tea Party protesters are Americans, of all races, who disagree with the policies of this administration. They’re protesting non-violently. There is no racism involved. Many key speakers at the rallies are non-white. The only violence at Tea Party rallies has come from leftists and Democrat operatives. There have been plenty of incidents in which Democrat minions have attacked Tea Party protesters, yet the media and the Democrats are painting the Tea Party as dangerous villains. Former President Bill Clinton has again implied that dissenters of this administration are like the right-wing extremists who bombed the Oklahoma City federal building.

The zombie media laps this up and breathlessly reports it. Apparently, the ex-president forgets his own lack of concern over much worse rhetoric during the Bush years.
Time Magazine’s paid Democrat shill, Joe Klein, has even gone so far as to accuse Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin, two popular conservative pundits, of sedition.
Add to this Homeland Security’s report last year that conservatives and veterans posed a possible terrorist threat and you see the makings of a “wag the dog” scenario wherein any trumped-up incident can be used as an excuse to target dissenters as possible threats. It’s an intimidation tactic right out of the totalitarian playbook. It’s no coincidence that the people who love big government are the very ones making these moves.
This is what they think of your free speech. You’re free to agree with them. If you don’t, you will be demonized and, at the very least, ridiculed.
But remember what Gandhi said. Keep up the non-violent protest, go to the elections with a renewed sense of purpose and vote out those who think these kinds of tactics are acceptable. The people need to take their country back.

I get a tingle up my leg thinking about what's in store for them in November. Get out and vote!
Two things to know about the left: First they are much smarter than you or I and therefor will tell us how to live our lives (this is why polls opposing their views are discredited, we are too stupid to understand the issues). Second, they are very tolerant as long as you agree with them.
Speaking of Nazis and schnapps – when I visited my Orthodox Jewish friends in university for shabbat dinner their drink of choice was schnapps. The shelves above the dinner table were lined with empty schnapps bottles. You'd be surprised what a few shots do for a rousing rendition of Shalom Aleykhem Malakhim Ha-Shoret!
Both sides do this when they're in power. When GWB was President, people on the right said that the protesters on the left were anti-American, that they weren't supporting or whatever.
Now that Obama's in office, it's the right doing the protesting and the left screaming that it's un-American.
The only difference is that the left, no matter which side it's on, is getting positive media thanks to the MSM. When they were the protesters, the MSM was taking the side of the protesters, making the administration look as bad as possible and making the protesters look as reasonable as possible.
Now, with Obama in office, the media is making the protesters look bad and the administration, and the democrats, seem reasonable and intelligent.
I don't think it's the rhetoric we need to stop or fix. It's the uneven coverage of that rhetoric we need to fix.
I'm encouraged and hopeful, but not fully sold. There were signs in the week before the 2008 election that people were catching on to Obama and what he really was, but we see how that turned out. Not that McCain would have been a 180 degree difference. Instead of Healthcare, we would be looking at Amnesty for Illegals having already passed the Senate.
My leg will tingle when I see everybody voting "None of the Above". The end result of either party obtaining power will be the same: a diluted America that is a member of the North American Union. This is what we have to guard against the most, and important members of both parties take their marching orders from the CFR and Fed. We need to stop allowing the two party system to dictate our future, as both parties have been compromised.
Once we become a member of any kind of "Union", all of our Freedoms will be lost. It is imperative that when you vote, you choose an American Patriot, one who will not subjugate us to the UN, the North American Union, the NWO, or any other international interests.
They're so transparent they're pathetic. Rich and Blow wrote columns last month which were almost identical using the words – “Racist”, “Sexist”, “Homophobic” to string their sentences. It's like they're competing in a slur war against the American people. It's no wonder the Tea Party Movement is growing.
Early last month Charles Blow told a tale about misogynistism. The Tea Partiers, according to him, were misogynistic because the bill was produced by a black man, a Jew, a woman, and a homosexual. Who can take these people seriously?
I believe these writers coordinate leftists talking points with Soros' american progress, media matters, dailykos, etc., then write them up as legit – dailykos, huffpo, media matters et al, in turn, post the talking points on their blogs and use them as NYTImes citations. lol
Social comments and analytics for this post…
This post was mentioned on Twitter by frankenstrat: For the MSM and Left, Freedom of Speech Means Agreeing With Them http://su.pr/2XIy1U...
On behalf of all my fellow ignorant, uneducated, racist Tea Partiers (you know who you are!), I will borrow a phrase used by O to send a message to this administration and their supporters:
We are …. Fired up – Ready To Go!
I think we need to forget the whole left and right thing already. Parties should be shunned. Vote for people who will vote in the interest of their nation, not their party. Parties render true competition of ideas impossible just as monopolies render business competition impossible. They should be abolished. Then maybe our so-called representatives can get back to representing us instead of their party.
AND, without the label of party, who is the media going to back? Egads, they might have to listen to individual opinions and perform true analysis. Yeah, more and more I think making organized political parties illegal is THE ANSWER.
Of course, the corollary to this is, that criticizing leftists and their ideas is reflexively defined as "hate speech".
"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."
These clowns have no idea how much their columns are doing the opposite of what they intend which is to take us off message but rather they renew our energy. They've played all their cards already and it's becoming repetitive. Waiting to see what they come up with next. A crisis of some sort? They will not give up easily nor will we…
What does it matter what race people are unless you are a racist. And if you aren't noticing what I am talking about when I give plenty of examples, it's because you don't want to.
oh, I noticed your examples, the problem is that they are delusional.
And look at John Heileman criticizing the use of the word "Regime" in reference to Obama's presidency. But, the Bush presidency was characterized as a "Regime" as well. See, for example, thishttp://www.seattlepi.com/local/287766_peacemarch0...
In that case, the protests were organized by World Can't Wait, which was organized by the Revolutionary Communist Party http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_World_Can%27t_Wa...
And they really do want to overthrow the government.
I'm just curious. Do you see Maddow as honest, even-handed, and tolerant?
And to your point, I have seen a tremendous amount of subtle implication of villainy by the left media, but as you say, nothing outright. Show a story about rightwing militants, then a reference to McVeigh. Follow that up immediately with a story about the "tea-baggers… err tea party"….rinse…repeat. And the media almost always portrays the Tea Party movement as "racist", "homophobic", "bible thumping", and "gun toting" white southerners. That is the very definition of "Villain" to a liberal.
*** Yes, I did see the multiple surveys claiming that the Tea Party is nearly all white. ***
Great. Now maybe you can be the first Leftist to explain precisely how that fact – in any way – serves as a counter-argument to the Tea Party's calls for reducing the size of Federal govt, debt/deficit reduction, adherence to Constitutional principles, and personal freedom tied to personal responsibility…as opposed to it just being another Leftist red herring meant to distract from the substance of the issues being raised by the Tea Party.
Please…we're all ears.
Agree 100 %… but we don't spew spittle when we opine about Comrade Barry nor do we forget for an hour, or ANY amount of time for that matter, that he's black, purple, or polka dotted – its irrelevant!! Subverting the Constitution by fiat and/or corruption – now THAT IS WHAT IS RELEVANT!
jrscott, I just honestly have not noticed all this name-calling that you refer to. I will definitely keep an eye out for it in the future, but so far I think a lot of it is delusional, some kind of weird persecution complex. For instance, take the statement that the Tea Party is being called "racist" in some kind of code language, just because the media have noticed that it is 99% white. Nobody is being called racist through that observation, which actually is kind of interesting. Makes you wonder. A simple fact, which you can mull over at your leisure, if you wish. Or ignore. Up to you, but it is not the same as calling anyone racist. As to your question, yes I thought Maddow did a reasonable job being honest, even-handed and tolerant in her special on McVeigh last night. She is admittedly to the left of center in general, but that is not really relevant. I was not saying that Maddow is perfect, only making the point that this web site has a paranoid feel to it.
And the Million Man March was almost all black. Not only that it was followed by the Million Woman March in response to fears the million man march excluded women. Nice huh? Also check out who organized these two events. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Million_Man_March
Louis Farrakhan – National Representative of the Nation of Islam. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Million_Woman_MarchS...
Phile' Chionesu, a grassroots activist, human rights advocate, and Black Nationalist/Freedom Fighter.
I'm sure there was no racism involved in those events. Is that what you are implying by saying the tea party is nearly all white? The media was all over those events hyping them up as a good thing.
Listen to liberal talk radio. All I here there is that Tea Partiers are racist, stupid etc. etc. Republicans are swine and voted in by stupid people!!!!!!!!
Well, we know how unbiased and rational YOU are.
Ah, "No," you obviously do, indeed, have an "axe to grind." Go back to your basement, Troll.
The screams and accusations of the left are the equivalent of gasoline to a fire.
Well done Hudnall!
Oh and somebody tell idiot Klein it was Democrats that wrote both sedition acts, and both of them have been repealed.
You afraid of little old ladies in wheelchairs being pushed by their husbands with walkers??
no, you see, I am not implying anything by saying that the Tea Party is nearly all white. I am objecting to the blog author's claiming that this fact is a "media code." Can't you see the difference between a fact and an accusation? It is up to each person who discovers this fact, how they want to react to it, whether they feel the need to explain it, what they think it might imply about the movement, etc. But stating the fact is not a code for anything. Flying off the handle over somebody mentioning a fact is paranoid behavior, that is what I am trying to say.
The more I am attacked, the more I "gird myself for battle," if I might use a Biblical expression. The more I see my core values ridiculed, the more strongly I teach them to my children and promote them to others.
I think that the Obama administration has been sent to torment us out of our political apathy and into action. The current crop of clowns will be quickly dealt with; I only worry that the victory will to too swift and too easy, and that we will again lose our way.
I hope the struggle against them is long and fierce enough that our victory will be not only over the current pitiful fools who run our country, but a generational victory over the entire Progressive Movement.
I think Klein was the NYT columnist who recently wrote an article that said that the USA needs to become more like communist China — so, he really wasn't kidding, was he?
FYI Klein — the "Authority of the State" is actually the Constitution, and the power is vested in those sovereign protesters you so hate. The seditious ones are the current regime and their cheerleaders, and the protesters have a sacred duty to make the public servants obey the Constitution, they took an oath to uphold and administer it.
.
"the protesters on the left were anti-American"
Those protestors of the Code Pink/ANSWER stripe, who were *actively supporting the enemy*, WERE anti-American.
Can you spare some of those extra napkins? These "fellow travelers" (Joe, Chris, Mr Ed, et al) probably could use them – what – between jotting down their notes/directives channelled from Big Brother in the Sky and drooling, spittle spewing!
Zing!! LOL
rvastar, you miss my point. I am not trying to promote any leftist agenda here. I am pointing out that this blogger seems to have a bit of a persecution complex. My comments have nothing to do with your broader concerns.
A big fat stake needs to go into the heart of the marxist ideology.
I thought it died and was buried in the 20th century, but their old dumb ideas just keep popping up like cockroaches that become more resistant.
Look, Hudnall already took your "reasonable questioning" apart upthread already, okay…?
If you insist going back to that threadbare meme, this is going to be a LONG thread…
*** Can't you see the difference between a fact and an accusation? ***
Can you see the difference between facts and silly Leftist word parsing?
"Discrimination is still all around us, in so many ways, openly redirected towards immigrants who are doing nothing more than following the path that brought my recent ancestors here and probably yours, too, or focused on gays predicated on a mumbo jumbo of biblical misinterpretations, or leaching out still against black people in things like the Tea Party movement." – Keith Olbermann
"So the convention opened with a clarion call to bring back the literacy tests for voting. And as you could hear, the tea party convention crowd erupted in cheers at the suggestion, although, to be fair, it was sort of hard to tell exactly what the sounds coming from the crowd meant. They were sort of a little bit muffled by, you know, the white hoods." – Rachel Maddow
"Plus what are the tea partiers really angry about? Health care reform or the fact that it was an African-American president and a woman Speaker of the House who pushed through major change?" – Chris Matthews
That's just one channel. Shall I start quoting the NYT's columnists?
Still want to claim that Mr. Hudnall is "paranoid" or "delusional"?
(snore)
*yawn*
(snore)
*** I am not trying to promote any leftist agenda here ***
Yes, you are. You're just failing at it…miserably.
Nonetheless, we all thank you for answering the question…"red herring" is the correct answer.
How about this:
CBS: "Could Tea Party Rhetoric Lead to Another Oklahoma City?"
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20002836-5...
But thanks for playing.
You need to get your facts straight. Gallup found the tea party to be 79% non-hispanic white vs 75% for the entire US. You seem to have race on the brain. As if that has anything to do with anything. Why keep brining it up and then say that the press aren't calling the Tea Party racists? You sound like a race obsessed person.
BTW: Maddow admitted she "heavily edited" that show due to advance criticism, so we can only wonder what it would have said before. She does have a history of saying derogatory things against the tea party.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/09/rachel-m...
Again, you need to open your eyes or clean out your ears. Otherwise, people might think you're delusional.
rvastar, there is nothing Left or Right about speaking clearly. If your quotes above are accurate, then I would certainly agree that they are snide and insinuatory of racism. However, they are not taken from this blogger's article, they are yours. I would certainly not call you paranoid for thinking that these quotes are code for calling the Tea Party racist, I would agree with you. However, I will stick with my points about Hudnall.
And yes, please do start quote the NYT's columnists, I for one would be interested in seeing the persecution documented.
PS: how did you like the guy (Mjolnir) calling me out for my "threadbare" approach of "reasonable questioning?" If we ever get to the point where reasonable questioning is not allowed, we will really be in trouble.
apparently when you censor yourself, its still not good enough for Big Brother.
Free Speech, yahoo! What a joke.
I said it once, and I will continue to repeat it. The only danger to the republic is the MEDIA!!! The the protests should be at the privates homes and offices of the MEDIA! Afterall, I don't remember when the "profession" of journalism supplied it's practitioners with knowledge and wisdom beyond mortal men!
Following the ABC's V analogy, the Tea Party protests are the big hot air balloons spreading the anti-V powder/fiscal responsibility message. And as much as the V's/liberals try to use their giant floating discs/MSM to shoot down the balloons/protests, it just spreads the medicine/message more. I wonder if the left will leave power like the V's did or nuke the place out of spite.
And where is the ABC's Lost political legacy, Canada?
" I did see the multiple surveys claiming that the Tea Party is nearly all white"
No, ONE survey (CBS-NYT). The other survey (Gallup) indicates a racial makeup only a few points whiter than the general population.
And why is it relevant in the first place? Are you trying to argue that, because 95% of blacks are Democrats, that simply being conservative is ipso facto racist? Get real!
yes, James, you are right, I was unaware of this latest survey. I still say that we should try to keep our journalism on a calmer keel, not flying off the handle about being persecuted by "code words" when people mention facts.
Amazing, how this viewpoint has stoked up the feelings on this site.
IAVLWC (Its A Vast Left Wing Conspiracy – Thank you Sillary)… Nothing Less…
If it walks like a duck, quacks like a Commie duck, & only outputs Barry's & Mr Fibbs' Commie duck gauno/directives – ipso facto…
Its entirely too convenient and beyond belief that these mendacious dilettantes, who rarely show evidence of an original thought, manage to almost in unison/en mass, disseminate the same sophistry & choreographed to be seen/heard/read on all the MSM outlets. Else they're all channeling the Great FUBAR…
Ah, the old "All your cites aren't enough to prove your argument so you must be insane" ploy. There are tons more cites I could make but the point is, you're not willing to see or hear what has been happening for almost a year now. Could that be because you can't see reality when it's right in front of you?
http://www.businessandmedia.org/commentary/2010/2... http://sweetness-light.com/archive/time-wapo-link...
I could go on, but you've already let your voices tell you what to think.
Disagree. We all see the constant use of the identifier "all white" or "nearly all white" and the context in which it's used whenever the Tea Party is mentioned by the media. Usually accompanied by a liberal sneer. It's pretty hypocritical for the left and msm to keep focusing on the race of the Tea Party movement instead of what they are all about when all we ever hear is how the left and dems are the "party of inclusiveness". It's not called the white tea party.
"Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows." Smith, 1984 (Orwell)
Progressives would have us say that "two plus two makes five." This is the goal of "progressive" education and exactly what Orwell spells out in his book.
We are living in 1984 this very moment.
"War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery; Ignorance is Strength."
"Who controls the past controls the future; who controls the present controls the past"..
Orwell knew the progressives like the back of his hand because he once was one of them.
And this, from Bubba Clinton:
"Finally, we should never forget what drove the [Oklahoma City] bombers, and how they justified their actions to themselves. They took to the ultimate extreme an idea advocated in the months and years before the bombing by an increasingly vocal minority: the belief that the greatest threat to American freedom is our government, and that public servants do not protect our freedoms, but abuse them."
A "Villian" is considered an evil or contemptible person. The LSM treats us with contempt therefore according to them we're "Villian"(s). Carter called us racists, Clinton used McVeigh as his tool, Pelosi nazis, blah, blah, blah…All they do is give the Tea Party Movement good PR. Yes, good PR, because what the LSM don't seem to understand is that Tea Partiers are our neighbors, relatives and friends. And when we see the LSM making them into racists, homophobes, sexists, violent people, etc., when one knows they're not, then one awakens to the LIES. IOW, the media are exposing their bias and the American people are picking up on it, at last. It's how I came on board.
The movement is growing in leaps and bounds. I say thankyou LSM – keep it up – as you're now spitting your biased venom on regular Americans. Oops!
Im sure that even a series of well placed rabies shots wont help Frank(foamin at the mouth) Grinch. Poor Frank, maybe you should blame your parents for giving you the same given name as the surname of one Barney Frank(F*g). Or maybe you were the real life version of "Mash" mad doctor Frank Burns, since you have been burned way too often lately. Poor little Frank-or are you just jealous that the comic book character was named Richie RICH????
Someone also needs to point out to the useless fool Klien-the last time a sedition act was carried out was by WOODROW WILSON in 1918 and its was against ROGER BALDWIN , later the co-founder of the ACLU(american commies living undercover) and a man who thought owning private property was theft.
Annie-his name says it all -Charles BLOW-another name for cocaine or what this guy does with his fellow blowboys Barney Fwank or George Soros. . Maybe they can ask Monica Lewinsky while they are at it, since thats a term shes most "famous" for.
I noticed that Barbara the 4 legged Boxer is now BEGGING her supporters to get out and vote for her. In Commiefornicate, no less. Hope you dont enjoy retirement Boxer. You need to be treated worse than your 4 legged counterparts.
Our CHIEF weapon is..fear and surprise….
Hi, yeah, I just became dumber reading the comments on here, thanks.
Well Bohemond, I agree with both Clinton and you in this post. How does that grab you? Clinton is not saying anything against the Tea Party movement here. What he is saying is that McVeigh justified his actions to himself by taking a certain kind of rhetoric to its ultimate extreme. I am confident that you think this too, in fact. How could anyone disagree with it? Yet you seem to think that Clinton is making an outrageous statement. You clipped and pasted it. Did you read it, too?
As to why I was talking about the racial survey data, it wasn't my idea to bring it up. The author of the blog brought it up, in order to claim that this data was a media code of some kind. I was only saying that it is not a code, it is a fact. There is a big difference between a fact and an ideological assault. Recognizing that difference is what separates rational people from maniacs.
That said, what I don't want to do is to claim that MSNBC is unbiased. In fact it is highly biased and tendentious, basically trying to copy what seems to be a winning formula for Fox, but just from the opposite end of the political spectrum. In my view, we would all be much better served by real, fact-oriented, politically more or less neutral reporting, of the kind that dominated the airwaves in this country beginning in 1949, until Reagan's FCC abandoned the Fairness Doctrine in 1987. It is a tragedy, what media like Fox and MSNBC have done to political discussion in the US, and this website is a good example of how bad things have gotten.
Personally, I've had enough. Remember, Pelosi, Reid, Gibbs, and Obama are the same people who called Tea Party members astroturf, brown shirts, un-American, and racist, among other things. Well, my response to that is to get involved even more. I will donate my time, money, stubborness, and motovation to unseat the two democratic senators in my state. I will make it my mission in life to make sure those bums don't go back to Washington. And I'm not alone. In their arrogance the democrats don't really understand the political powers and rage they have unleashed against themselves. They will find out in November. Keep your powder dry, people, and nail them in November. In the end, we will win.
By "dumb" you of course mean the inability to speak, right?
Smart people know that 'dumb' has nothing to do with brains. Dumb means mute. As in a dumb animal.
Perhaps it's good that you can no longer speak.
good luck, Dick, you are going to be tarred and feathered. It's your own fault though. All you had to do was say, "liberals are dung-eating commies," and your wit and acumen would have been applauded. I have been generating huge amounts of anger by trying that "threadbare" tactic of being reasonable.
Ok, Bohemond, I followed your link, and here is the closing statement of the article:
"McVeigh, of course, was an individual psychopath, not a representative of any larger group, including the Tea Party movement or proponents of smaller government. While he may have been encouraged by far-right rhetoric, his actions may, in one sense, simply be part of the price of free speech. …"
They then go on to quote Clinton as follows:
"Civic virtue can include harsh criticism, protest, even civil disobedience. But not violence or its advocacy," Mr. Clinton wrote in his op-ed. "… In the current climate, with so many threats against the president, members of Congress and other public servants, we owe it to the victims of Oklahoma City, and those who survived and responded so bravely, not to cross [that line] again."
Do you really find this so objectionable? Is there a chance that you might just be a little on edge?
oops, as I admitted a couple of hours ago, I was unaware of the Gallup survey. But no, my whole point is, that I am not trying to argue anything except that a lot of people on this website seem to suffer from a serious persecution complex.
I went to a party at the Jewish Frat house at UC Davis in California. Man, all I can say is those Jews know how to party.
I appreciate your concern, but I have a stockpile of Sherwoods and several 5 gallon buckets of pucks. As long as they line up to be picked off like so many pinheads in a Chuck Norris film, we're good to go here.
GORDIE HOWE!! LIVE LIKE HIM!!!!
Let them come. Let them lie. Let them lose! You can't stop a force of nature.
It wasn't like you weren't better than halfway there before you got here!
SWEET! I hope this sentiment gains traction! It might make a REAL difference!
Yeah, right. LOL
The problem with your argument is it has nothing to do with mine. Read articles before you attack them. And check the cites. Your fan club of one failed to do that as well.
Ever hear about disclaimers? Clinton is very practiced at parsing sentences, CBS has lawyers to make sure they are in there. It doesn't change the fact of what they are doing with scare headlines. They know most people only read enough to get the gist of what they're saying.
You read? I was wondering who typed for you? Wonders will never cease. Just take another nice big gulp of tyranny koolaid and everything will be just fine for you.
You complain about the heat you're getting, but you continue to insult people by calling them crazy. You started out saying I was paranoid and delusional. Then complain about people's reactions. Seriously, do you have any idea what real reasonable debate is? I don't think you do.
First vote. Get family members to vote. Encourage friends to become active. Point out that the friendly face of the local Democratic congressman masks someone who hates their guts.
This is not new. It started with Woodrow Wilson, and by the time that old fascist was ushered out of the White House there were almost a million political prisoners. Here. Reporters feared FDR so much he didn't have to do all that much to keep them in line, the memories of World War I-era outrage so fresh. As radio and television began to spread the truth the same folks promptly worked to neutralize these outlets via the FCC in ways that included but were not limited to the Fairness Doctrine. Clinton would have shut down budding talk radio three decades later if he had not lost Congress. Instead, he engaged in the despicable rhetoric he has this week.
Yet New Media explodes, the American people have seen what lies beneath these people, and our Crypto-Fascist Class is in full panic mode. Thank you, Mr. Breitbart, and the many who have gone before you over the last hundred years. You are brave even if this ain't the old East Bloc despite all the attempts to make it such.
Feelings tend to get stoked up when people are insulted.
Your first post began with "I haven't noticed anybody painting the Tea Party as villains. Stooges of the corporate spin machine, yes, but not villains."
I feel much better knowing that I'm not being labeled as evil, just stupid.
There are none so blind as those who refuse to see.
*** However, I will stick with my points about Hudnall. ***
Then you should look up the phrase "deductive reasoning".
Unlike you, Mr. Hudnall is, no doubt, aware of the same rhetoric that I quoted above (and below). As such, it is in no way "paranoid" or "delusional" for him to infer that the hacks he excoriates above are involved in an effort to smear the Tea Party movement…especially Klein, considering that he's said things like this:
"And even though the teabaggers' pinched , paranoid sensibilities are now being stoked by Boss Rush and the leaders of the Republican party, I take comfort in this: the racists and nativists have always been with us, and they have always lost. They will lose this time, too." – Joe Klein
You want to hurl anymore insults without having the slighest idea of what you're talking about?
*** And yes, please do start quote the NYT's columnists, I for one would be interested in seeing the persecution documented. ***
"Most Americans who don't like Obama or the health care bill are not racists. It may be a closer call among Tea Partiers, of whom only 1 percent are black, according to last week's much dissected Times/CBS News poll." – Frank Rich
"Thursday night I saw a political minstrel show devised for the entertainment of those on the rim of obliviousness and for those engaged in the subterfuge of intolerance. I was not amused." – Charles Blow
Two examples…from just the last 5 days.
Any more questions?
I couldn't bring myself to hit the play button for the Joe Klein video. Regardless, I find it ironic that libs will bitch about so called "sedition" when so many of them have played Tokyo Rose for Al Queda.
The MSM is dropping a Digital Curtain over the truth in this country. Just like the Soviet Union did.
Could this author be just a tad paranoid?
I haven't noticed anybody painting the Tea Party as villains. Stooges of the corporate spin machine, yes, but not villains. As to the interview with Clinton, he certainly implied nothing of the sort. He was very careful not to say anything against the Tea Party. What I did notice on this very website was a huge fuss over Rachel Maddow's special on Tim McVeigh, which aired last night. There were over 120 comments, almost entirely smears and hate-talk against Maddow… BEFORE her show, based on the assumption that she was going to equate McVeigh with the Tea Party. However, in her 2-hour special, she did not do that. She did not once mention the Tea Party. Not a single word.
Oh, one more thing. Yes, I did see the multiple surveys claiming that the Tea Party is nearly all white. Hmmm, not allowed to mention that?
I went to Russia 3 times before 2000 to do charity work with an orphanage. I told my Russian friends that the biggest difference between Minnesota and Russia was that the Communists had been discredited only in one place. (and it wasn't MN).
You said it best. Not all of the protesting done was patently anti-American, but some of it definitely was. And a lot of it was using rhetoric that made the country itself out to be a bad/evil institution.
Tea Parties are about criticizing reckless, out of control government. We don't call America a bad or inherently evil place, but we do call out this government as hopelessly out of control. The government does not the country make.
I have to chuckle at the continuation of attacks on the MSM and its' alleged liberal bias. The Wapo, NYT and regional liberal voices were silenced in the run up to Gulf War2. Powell's run at the FCC finished them off with the regulatory allowance of media conglomerations across platforms and within media markets. Anyone notice Drudge's "cable news race" scorecards lately? Get a grip, and stop pretending the right is anything but enabled if not coddled in the "MSM."
Excuse me while I get my hockey stick and a bucket of pucks to fend off the inevitable attack of the pitchfork and torch crowd here. Okay…..bring it on….
The fact that you got thumbs down proves that you are right!
i probably shouldn't have given you one up, but i couldn't help myself.
rvastar,
you still don't get it, do you? oh well.
First of all, if you are going to quote MSNBC that is fine, but don't quote them as being the "mainstream media." They are following the same partisan strategy as Fox, just on the left. Fox, with its higher market penetration and free inclusion in most cable packages in all 50 states, is closer to a "mainstream media" product nowadays than MSNBC.
As to the NYT quotes, I don't see anything derogatory about them. The first is a very mild comment about that CBS survey. The second is incomprehensible taken out of context like this, so it doesn't mean anything.
Look, I can't afford the time to keep commenting here. I appreciate your efforts to have a rational discussion based on actual quotes, in sharp contrast to the overall tone of the website, which is shrill and abusive as well as paranoid in the extreme. So it's nothing personal that I have to sign off here, and I wish you all the very best. I am sure everyone will benefit if you and others continue to respond to the real statements of your political rivals, rather than to imagined "codes."
good-bye and good luck to you and everyone here.
Devin,
Yes, I agree it is not nice to be portrayed as a stooge either. I was only saying that I HAVE seen that in the media, and in contrast have NOT seen the TP portrayed as villains.
Here's how I put it:
Scratch a reactionary leftist, find the fascist gibbering underneath.
Isn't it interesting that the same press that argues that it should have no restrictions in accessing anywhere they want to go so they can get their story, wants to stifle the free speech of anyone opposed to the agenda they want to push? If there is no media bias then I have some nice ocean front property in Kansas you might be interested in.
Actually that's not entirely accurate. MSNBC has completely forgotten
even to pretend to distinguish News from Opinion. Fox has many
conservative commentators, who are overtly editorialists; but while MSNBC
has its overt op-ed commentators from the (extreme, hate-driven) Left, the
same bias twists and distorts its \”news\” coverage as well.
…and a fanatical devotion to the Pope! Sorry, couldn't resist.
The Media have always decided what is worth reporting / picturing. And why not ? They'e had the power. What is the use of a big fist if you act like a pussy-cat.. Apparently the motivation also of the present "Democratic " administration in Washington. . WHAT IS NEW? : the mainstream Media no longer control the information toll- gate, thanks to that "invention by Al Gore " of the internet . .The leading Green Spokesperson, and Vice- President under Bill Clinton, to all of whom we bow as principled, law-abiding , compassionate, appropriate and considerate 100% Americans, who like the present Chief Executive was "ashamed of his country" ( that would be the USA)~ persons who "feel our pain". Gore knows where the bodies of the Clinton Administration are buried..Whose sinecure and pay-off with the Nobel Peace Prize provided to get him out of the way has now bitten him in the arse, i.e. the exposure of Climate Change "experts" as just another group of power- hungry thugs. IT IS THE INTERNET and the NEW MEDIA which have finally broken the monopoly of the major propaganda / entertainment media It's now interesting and even fun to keep current with the "news".and to see just how many persons don't much care for servitude to the "BMOC" and other "elites". But the "elites" and their myrmidons do not like this power of and to the people. Time to pay thie bill.
We grow up with Manichevitz. Schnapps kind of reminds of us of that.
and you forgot to frame the answer in a form of a question…
Isn't it cute when lefties meet and fall in love?
fungus does make one itch.
Even paranoids have enemies!
Over 6500 times according to Glenn Beck, including the douchbag who was complaining about it.
Could it be that Bill Clinton is miffed that McVeigh was a better bomb builder than Ayers?
And ninja monkeys. I have a whole army of ninja monkeys I've been training for years, waiting and ready for when I receive my TEA party orders.
