Wow. What an amazing transformation America saw across the mainstream media spectrum yesterday. Suddenly their collective righteous indignation-gene kicked in over false charges of racism. The real question is, how long will this last? I’m guessing right up until it’s yet another critic of the Obama administration who’s once again falsely accused of racism.

At Big Government, Andrew Breitbart posts a story with accompanying video to make his case that a crowd at the NAACP — who had no idea they we’re listening to a story of reconciliation – quite obviously enjoyed Shirley Sherrod’s tale of a white farmer getting screwed because he was white. And in their first written statement, the NAACP agreed with Breitbart:
The reaction from many in the audience is disturbing. We will be looking into the behavior of NAACP representatives at this local event and take any appropriate action.
That statement came directly from NAACP President and CEO Benjamin Todd Jealous, who then went on to condemn Ms. Sherrod as “shameful” before reviewing the whole video of her speech, which, incidentally, has always been in the NAACP’s possession.
And this isn’t the first time a crowd at the NAACP has found racism hilarious.
On top of the NAACP condemnation, Ms. Sherrod was also then fired from her job as the Georgia director of rural development by Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack — a decision the White House stood behind.
See how that works?
Breitbart offers more than enough context to make his overall point about the NAACP audience’s troubling (to say the least) reaction to an act of overt racism, but without enough context to justify firing her — without offering Ms. Sherrod the opportunity to present her side of the story, both the NAACP and the Obama administration throw her under that now infamous bus.
And today the media is all-consumed by the narrative of someone being falsely accused of racism. Well, where was all this concern about false charges of racism when a number of exculpatory videos were found proving that Democrat members of Congress lied about everyday Americans in the form of Tea Party protesters shouting racial slurs?
Where was all this concern about racism after a Department of Justice whistle-blower named J. Christian Adams testified on-the-record about ongoing and systematic discrimination at the DOJ?
Where’s the concern about false charges of racism when proof is uncovered that one of the MSM’s very own – Spencer Ackerman of the Washington Independent – encouraged hundreds of his fellow JournoListers to brand Karl Rove, Fred Barnes or anyone handy, as racist in order to take the Jeremiah Wright heat off of then-candidate Obama?
Do you think we will ever hear anything about that story?
Once again the corrupt media’s choosing of what is and is not worth covering exposes them for the leftist ideologues they really are. And they don’t give a damn about Shirley Sherrod. Same woman, same situation, but a member of the Tea Party and the whole event would be memory-holed.
The only reason the MSM is upset with Obama and the White House over this incident is because they’re interpreting the firing of Ms. Sherrod as the administration caving to the right. In their eyes, that was the only wrong that was done here.
If the media cared about false charges of racism, the media would care about false charges of racism. Videos proving that hundreds of everyday Americans were falsely smeared as racists by members of Congress, and not a chirp was heard from this crowd.
This media storm isn’t about racism, isn’t about Shirley Sherrod, and certainly isn’t about journalism. The Palace Guards are merely teaching Obama a lesson for daring to express concern over what Glenn Beck might think.

The Race Card has been and remains a valuable tool of the left, and is used by them in nearly every instance of when they are losing public sentiment and support. A major problem today; however, is the MSM's obvious bias and indifference when the Race Card is played to support the left and/or denigrate the Right. They should have been all over the Jeremiah Wright story, but instead there was an audible silence. But let an elected Republican utter the word "Macaca" (and I still have no idea what that even means), and it gets played over and over and over for weeks and months on end.
As Thomas Flanagan might say 'the tea party isn't about race, its…its..umm..IT’S ABOUT GOVERNMENT SPENDING! YEAH THAT'S THE TICKET!’ However, the weight of history says otherwise, as this post suggests – http://wp.me/pNmlT-io
Did her fellow Democrats run her over with the back of the bus first?
Logical fallacy. The tea party is a new movement, so there is no "weight of history."
You are attempting to prove A (tea party) = B (weight of history), with out proving any logical connection to the two.
Or more simply you are a modern liberal twit attempting – and failing spectacularly – to sound like you have the slightest idea what you are talking about. Plato would have you tossed out of the Athens Forum on your ass.
No soup for you!
Race card. Yawn. BTW How does it feel to get TOTALLY PUNK'D, lol! NAACP bit, the White House bit, and Vilsack bit. Bunch of suckers! Go ahead, play the race card again. We'll have a straight flush waiting for you racebaiting libruls
Here's a good one from http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/989413...
Madison — State elections officials narrowly rejected a Milwaukee Assembly candidate's attempt to run with the slogan "NOT the 'whiteman's bitch' " under her name on the ballot.
Ieshuh Griffin, a Milwaukee independent running to replace retiring Rep. Annette "Polly" Williams (D-Milwaukee), said in response she would sue the Government Accountability Board for infringing on her freedom of speech.
"I'm not making a derogatory statement toward an ethnic group. I'm stating what I'm not," Griffin told board members. "It's my constitutional right to freedom of speech."
Keep it up!!!
Jeez-Maybe if the ho gets her racist name on the ticket, ill sue and use her charges as "precedent". Then I can call Fat Albert No So Sharp Tons of BS a racist name and feel "free to do so". Sure ,Wilbur.
no SOUP!
I'm callin Holder! Torture is ONLY SANCTIONED for Supremes who have to sit through a SOTU finger waggin.
da noive….
Knowing Milwaukee as well as I do, that is almost certainly enough to get her elected. Regardless of her intent, it may still be construed as offensive by white conservatives. White liberals will support her to the bitter end.
Wow. There wasn't a single intelligent idea in that post. I'm saddened to learn that you, too, have been failed by the public education system in this country, which, of course, sees you as a success story.
When are all these small, elitist minds going to figure out that Breitbart is light years ahead of them? This was too, too humorous. All the black shoes are turning brown with all the stuff they keep stepping in.
Have you ever even been to a Tea Party rally? I doubt it. How can you form such strong opinions on a foundation of total ignorance? I at least attended a left-wing anti-war rally before I concluded that they were a bunch of stinky, pot-smoking, useful idiot Marxists.
ackerman and SCUM like him need to be indicted. Their slanderous deformation of character GESTAPO tactics need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Just like nifong, ackerman and SCUM like him need to be "disbarred" from any journOlism. If that's what they call it! I call it the 3d media, DISHONEST, DECEITFULL, DELUSIONAL!
Typical. When losing an intellectual argument, call someone a name.
What Brietbart unknowingly did was take the whole Black Panther and the Racist DOJ off the front page.
This using of bits of edited tape is the lefts game plan. The left lie cheat and misrepresent as a normal way of comunication. As a conservative I do not want to lower myself and do not thing Andrew Breightbart should either to the tricks and lies the Left does. If you lay down with dogs you will get fleas. We need to always have all the facts and represent ourselves as an honorable party not to emulate the liars and cheats that occupy the media and the administration at this time.
I'm going to say what I say to all you libs who post things like this. Where are your facts? Give us some links to these supposed proved instances of right hosts lying.
Guess how many times I've had responses when I request proof and facts.
None. It's always just accusations and that's it.
The liberal way…
All attacks and no facts.
Wayyy Back in the Clinton years I was teaching at a gun store/range. A TV reporter came in to "get our point of view" on one of the many new laws restricting our 2nd Amendment that the Clintons were pushing. She spoke with the owner then came to me. I turned her down. When asked why … she promised to be "objective". I chuckled to myself and informed her that it is impossible for a reporter to be completely objective … the mere fact that each night an editor picks the “lead story” gives one story more weight than another. The same is true in the layout of the newspaper’s front page.
So please reporters, stop telling us you’re impartial, unbiased, objective or any other adjective. We all have preconceptions. Just admit to, so it’s out on the table, and we can choose our news-readers as WE see fit.
I agree except for the notion he is muslim. I don't believe the facts support that he is or recently has been a follower of the Muslim religion. However, I also don't believe he is a Christian. I've seen him in his own words attack portions of the bible. You don't attack what is supposed to be your religions ultimate guide. Why would you believe in something you disagree with? Makes no sense. I suppose maybe he could be Christian, and just doesn't understand what is going on in that confused mind of his.
You keep telling everybody how smart you are. Then why don't you stop making general attacks and actually point out a specific part of the story you disagree with. Then, oh I don't know, present some facts to back up your claim. But as always….
All attacks and no facts.
*I do agree with the skip on the full video not being a real "edit" that we should be concerned with.*
There is one major problem with your argument. You haven't been here trying to provide objective thinking. You've only been making general attacks. You do not point out the issues behind our case or the articles case. That would be step one. Then you would need to actually provide sound facts or at least reasoning behind your attack on such an issue.
Instead your argument goes something like this…
(Breitbart is a liar who gets you idots to follow his every word and make you believe anything he says. You don't want to even consider the possibility that your side is wrong. You people have no idea what you are talking about. Deuches.)
Now what did I accomplish in those words? Everything there is strictly my opinion (obviously not really.) I pointed out no specific things that I considered a lie. I provided no facts to support my opinion.
This is exactly what you are doing, and what pretty much every liberal who comes here does. Why do you think I say…
All attacks and no facts.
Why don't you back up your position, rather than making yourself look like a fool when you try to give us your opinion and then pass it off as some sort of grand factual based arguement that we are simply ignoring.
I am still waiting for someone to mention that the New Black Panthers want to kill me, my white babies and my police. Nothing, direct evidence of homegrown terrorists…and nothing. I live in fear of death and yet my President, police and media do not care. Politics as usual. The "NBP King" wants to be as deadly as a McVeigh! My GOD wake up before we have a massacre.
I agree…her comments can not be justified. If I a nurse, assigned a black nurse to care for a black patient because it was "one of her kind", that would be racism. Tell me how her comments and actions are different? This is racism straight up. Now this racist is made a hero and will get a tax dollar funded raise and more publicity. The MSM who is bleeding viewers has just created a new Jackson or Sharpton…ugh!
On a side note…what did they do with her old FTE position? Did they create a new position for her…more tax dollars to be spent as a result of this racist. Now that is logic…
Since when do ballots even HAVE slogans?
Elderly? The woman is elderly? She's around 50 – how is that elderly? Elderly is someone who is 80 or 90; although many active 80 or 90 year olds would take issue at being called elderly.
If she were elderly, your boy O wouldn't just want her fired, he would want her euthanized.
"Sorry, Mr. Breitbart, but none of this takes back the signs accusing Obama of enslaving whites and being a communist nazi muslim, nor the signs and slogans demanding that Obama be impeached, deported and/or lynched. "
So how are any of those signs Racist?
It's a waste of time to post on sites such as DailyKos, etc. They never let any comments that don't agree with them see playtime. At least here we allow alternative views, even if we take them to task.
http://www.breitbart.tv/shirley-sherrod-laments-l...
I rest my case.
"sold to a white man"
For someone who is color blind…she sure uses color a lot to describe things. And just exactly what is wrong with a forclosure purchase if it is a white man?
Racism…MSM duped again…it is called "due diligence"
Since there are literally hundreds if not thousands of things the right has done that's just plain make believe, are you capable of pointing out any specifics or facts? Or are you just making it up?
Everybody's ancestors have been enslaved at some point in history. But you don't see us crybabying about it and demanding reparations from generations hundreds of years after the acts took place.
So the first example of your being ready to stop throwing rocks is to include, in the same post, calling Fox News a name?
There is more to this story then has been revealed; the White House and Agriculture Dept knows something that hasn't been made public yet. As slow as they are to react to other situations regarding 'racism' it seems they jumped pretty quick on this. People in the know, need to keep on digging to get to the bottom of the whole story, instead of acting so quick to forgive and forget what the NAACP is all about. Notice, NAACP had the entire clip and also jumped on the dog pile against Sherrod? Whether or not she saw the light, her entire speech was racist against white people, just describing how a poor white farmer when to her for help and supposedly 'talked down to' her, shows that the farmer was prejudged just because he was white. The only thing she did to 'help' this man was 'take him to one of his own kind' for legal help. She did not help him financially did she? His farm was no doubt saved because of the legal system not anything the Ag did for him.
By the way, nobody, and I mean NOBODY said anything about Jesse Jackson Jr attempting to bait the Tea Party people at the rally where it was claimed there were racial slurs. Why hasn't that been covered???? Jackson Jr and the Black Caucus led by Nancy Piglosi, attempted to bait the Tea Party people, laughing at them and getting in their faces. The Tea Party people did not take his bait because they are NOT racist.
That would explain how they're getting the high "p" counts.
Pick an old dormant thread, add comments, and then keep hitting thumbs up on each other in a circle jerk. That would do it.
Port 80 is the tcp/ip port that http uses. Web traffic.
What that message is, is the web server application (Apache/2.2.13) is incapable of responding to a request on tcp/ip 80.
404 means page not found, this one says the application is too busy to respond so they operating system issued this in response.
I'm not a system administrator, but I have been a web master, that looks to me like a web server that is getting hammered so fast it can't respond.
That tells me the server farm hosting the blog isn't very secure. If they don't already have a firewall device in front of it, they better get one. And if they already do, they better tighten up the rules on it.
If you're running a web server the only tcp/ip port you want visible on the web is 80, for http – hyper text transfer protocol. The easiest way to get into a server is via tcp/ip 20 & 21 (ftp – file transfer protocol), 22 (SSH – secure socket somthing) or 23 (telent).
Seems pretty obvious those weren't properly locked down.
They were obviously trying to bring down the Big sites over Sherrod.
That's the way the left views "freedom of speech" – shut up.
I initially thought it might have been a troll war with a low laying DoS, but apparently there's no evidence of that, which means they are either very good, or very bad. My guess is they just got lucky by launching it while ID was already having issues.
This is all pretty hilarious. Too much dope smoking for these people to figure out where they are.
Where do you get "to make his case that a crowd at the NAACP — who had no idea they we’re listening to a story of reconciliation – quite obviously enjoyed Shirley Sherrod’s tale of a white farmer getting screwed because he was white."
I just watched the video again and I didn't see any audience reaction to Sherrod's tale. I think you are making up stuff again. Can you give me a video link and a timecode to substantiate your charges? Or are you also spinning false tales to stoke white racism?
Try turning on the volumn!
The Tea Party is just the newest addition of white populism. The underlining principal of unity is white racism. It is designed split the people of the U.S. so that big business stays in charge and screws everyone.
Have you ever been to the right-wing anti-war rally? No because the right-wing loves war and all it's destruction. Has there ever been a war that the right-wing didn't like. Was there ever a U.S. war that was racists? How about killing chinks in Korea, gooks in Vietnam or hadgies in Iraq?
You're so full of shit your eyes are brown. You don't have the slightest idea what you're talking about, all you're doing is parroting the same tired old talking points the left has been shoveling since they started taking off.
Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of racism out there, and its all coming from your side. Deny it all you want, I know better. I spent 30+ years on the left. And people on the left are biggest racists, sexists, bigots I've ever seen. And you're spouting the same crap.
Why don't you take your racism and go back to Daily Kos or what ever rock you crawled out from under. Then you can spout all the racism you want, and every one will agree with you, while they masturbate in front of the computer telling themselves how cool and relevant they are.
How do you conclude that the NAACP was "quite obviously enjoyed Shirley Sherrod’s tale of a white farmer getting screwed because he was white." ? I've watch the video several times now. At 0:53 after Sherrod says "While he was trying to show how superior he was to me, I was trying to decide how much help I was going to give him." There is a little laughter. But laughter at what? Laughter at the irony that he was "trying to show how superior he was" while she was trying to decide how much help to give him. But in no way can you conclude that they were supporting her discrimination back in 1984 because at 1:10 when she says "So I didn't give him the full force of what I could do." This statement is met by complete silence. No support from the audience, and isn't this when you would expect it, if they were 'racist.' Again biggovernment is distorting the facts to divide the people.
The Tea Party is FINALLY a group for mostly whites, they are not racists at all (if you see/hear of any at a rally—they are plants from the left)……….the white people are very, very tired of the racism against us. We have Harvard full of low educated blacks admitted on race only………..it's just out of control. If you think about it, no one cares what color your doctor, lawyer, etc is………….but it looks like when affirmative action went into place we got dumber……………..Lord help us
The right wing doesn't love war you idiot, we just show them we will not take their BS, you know like big boys, unlike the little empty suite in OUR house that bows to them out of fear. Old Bush Sr and Jr weren't even close to fear……………..nor was Reagan……………we want someone with some fight in them, not some wimp who can't even throw a baseball, or pronounce "corpsman"………….reminder to you libtards, the P is silent!

That just means your browser sent a command to the apache server that it didn't understand.
I found a new Video that should be hosted here! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNkp5UaOeEQ
Yes, and the similarities to Hitler are SO evident… Hyperbole, the sword of the inept.
Breitbart's mind
will always win out because he is not a fake,
the truth is more powerful then stupid.
You must be the example.
Macaca (genus), the macaque, an Old World monkey species

An elected Republican utter the word "Macaca":
<a> ” target=”_blank”>;http://www.google.com/
Its called a Denial of Service attack. You overwhelm a server to the point that you bottleneck any info from getting in.
Its not SSH, I think its SSL (Secure Socket Layer) SSH is Secure Shell.

In addition, you asswipe, the dumbocraps start the wars and the Republicans finish them.
Yes a DoS can cause that. So can insufficient hardware.
DoS attacks are a lot harder to pull off these days. Any reputable web provider has some sort of systematic attack detection running that identifies them and blocks them. I used to run into that all the time at IBM.
At IBM we used what's called PAT – port address translation – so it appeared all traffic from IBM US was coming from about 6 or so IP addresses. AIM used to block us all the time because they thought we were a DoS.
So did some ISP down in NYC, which was a real pain because IBM had contracted with them to provide service anniversary gifts to employees. No one from IBM could get to the web site to choose gifts.
There are ways around this, though they are extremely complicated and leave lots of computer finger prints behind for forensics.
I originally thought it might be a low level DoS, not enough traffic to trigger threshold alerts, alerts, but enough to bog down the systems, and then the troll tsunami to finish them off. But I suggested support check to see if that was happening.
They said everything was fine but they were dealing with known ID application issues, so I'm taking them at their word.
Having come from the left I know just how juvenile they are, and their definition of free speech is "if you don't agree with me, shut the hell up." So I assumed a worst case scenario.
Thanks for the clarification. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure I've heard what the acronym stood for.
Are you in the networking business too?
Yes indeed. But to be clear, the alphabet soup of IT stumps me on a daily basis too.
