Below, you’ll find a compilation of 20 days worth of the death threats, vandalism, and intimidation practiced by pro-union thugs opposed to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s budget repair bill. Wisconsin is my home state. I lived there until I was 27 years-old in 1993 and most of my family, including my parents still live there. For that reason and because the issue of education and teachers unions has been a passion of mine for going on two decades, I’ve been following this story very, very closely. My original intent was to compile all of this earlier in the week, but after reading Lee Stranahan’s superb editorial I decided to wait and see if that might have some effect on the national and local Wisconsin media in moving them towards giving the ongoing violence, intimidation, vandalism, and overall thuggery occurring at the hands of union activists and their supporters, the coverage it needs and deserves.
Not only should the local and national media be amplifying their coverage of this ongoing scandal because of the bar they themselves set with the Tea Party for what rises to the level of of racism, “predominantly white” protesters and troubling behavior — but in the wake of the tragic shootings in Tuscon you would think direct threats on elected officials would rate a little outrage. Well, obviously not when those threats come from the Left.
Politics aside, what’s happening in Wisconsin is downright frightening because, as you’ll see below, these incidents are growing in number and intensity. Furthermore, other than the Right, no one is calling for calm or civility. The local media is, at best, wrist-flicking these incidents, Democratic legislators have not called for calm, President Obama is AWOL, and worst of all, Public Union Workers not involved in the thuggish behavior taking place in their name, have been complicit with their silence.
This is more than a disgrace, it’s dangerous. Conservative radio talk show hosts and Governor Walker can talk all they want, but I fear that until the media starts a campaign of shame by focusing on these incidents, and responsible pro-union types begin to police their own side, someone is eventually going to get hurt.
What you’re going to read below is a startling compilation of what can only be described as thuggery. These examples are occurrences that have taken place only since the beginning of the month and do not include the equally disturbing incidents we’re hearing about outside of Wisconsin. Keep in mind, it’s more likely than not that I missed a few things.
My thanks to Twitter pal Danny From WI, Amy at Modern Commentaries, Ann Althouse (the victim of an awful threat — see below), Gateway Pundit, and my fellow Big Editors for all the links. And a special thanks to Charlie Sykes of WTMJ and Mark Belling of WISN, two invaluable Milwaukee radio talk show hosts who have covered this story brilliantly and exhaustively.

Get Wausau Tea Patriots to form an ad hoc militia on your front lawn? That wouldbe fucking HILAROUS to us. You could get to know the assholes on your side in realfucking life instead of sponging off the civil society we provide for you every single dayyou draw breath.

Kapanke have been unavailable, but an aide to Kapanke says that windows on Kapanke’s car were broken in Madison and the senator’s wife found nails strewn on the driveway of their home.
According to Rose Smyrski of Kapanke’s staff:
Nails were scattered on his driveway twice last week. The incidents were reported to the La Crosse Police Department.
Also, Kapanke’s’s windshield was damaged on March 9 after the Senate voted on the budget-repair bill.

March 14th, 2011: Police, Fire, and Teachers Unions threaten WI businesses with boycotts if they don’t oppose Governor Walker (it should be mentioned that police and firemen we’re not part of the budget repair that put an end to collective bargaining):
In the event that you cannot support this effort to save collective bargaining, please be advised that the undersigned will publicly and formally boycott the goods and services provided by your company. However, if you join us, we will do everything in our power to publicly celebrate your partnership in the fight to preserve the right of public employees to be heard at the bargaining table.
This creepy website appears to have the list of WI businesses targeted by those whose salaries are paid by the taxpayers for boycotts — and those taxpayers will be the first to lose their jobs if the boycotts have any effect. There’s also a Facebook page for the boycott.

March 10th, 2011: Former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich: “Governor Walker’s Coup D’Etat”:
That’s no surprise to most people who have watched this conflict from the start, but like any coup its ultimate outcome will depend on the public. If most citizens of Wisconsin are now convinced that Walker and his cohorts are extremists willing to go to any lengths for their big-business patrons (including the billionaire Koch brothers), those citizens will recall enough Republican senators to right this wrong.
March 9th, 2011: Death threat emailed to all WI State Senators
Please put your things in order because you will be killed and your familes will also be killed due to your actions in the last 8 weeks. Please explain to them that this is because if we get rid of you and your families then it will save the rights of 300,000 people and also be able to close the deficit that you have created. Calls for civility are entirely dependent on your political affiliation.
The Right is wrong and the Left is right. Once you understand that–it all becomes clear.
This is just a taste of what's coming….
Television, newspapers, magazines, movies, etc. try very hard to paint Leftists and Unions as protectors of the little guy against the evil bosses.
This is true face of the left, they are thugs.
long term their behavior will be good for the country, but short term it will get a little messy.
Now you know why the left wants to squash the sencond amendment.
Maslow's Hierarchy is taught some surpass the progression in holding superior opinions and acts which are beyond what conditions and rules of the masses. The dissidents are taught since they are acting with this higher purpose, they should be praised and honored for the sacrifice and risk they performed during those days. In skewed progressive think(to be now referred as correct think), the residents of that fair state must realize the harm the Governor and renegade majority have put them through and vote these fascists out in a recall. The left is waiting for their apology. Silly Sallys shouldn't shut shutters suddenly so seriously sanctimoniously, their fingers might get hurt. The drop in the bucket argument is becoming ridiculous with many seeing that full bucket, but then as a college freshman after attending Philosophy 101 say, "what bucket". In short arguing with progressives is like trying to explain a budget to a 15 year old while refusing to give them $200 for a concert ticket.
Answer: They won't. In fact they are encouraging it. Just ask Plugs Biden…

The left are racist hate mongers. May God have mercy on them.
I hope the "good" you are referring to is ….
The longer, louder and more irrational they become, the electorate will come to be more and more repulsed by this type of thinking / action.
Thus driving a majority of voters toward the Constitution and true freedom.
Obviously the central question in this article is rhetorical. Every thinking person knows the so-called left is nothing more than a communist-based coup. So long as we continue to let them have our country, it will continue to be a peaceful transformation. But make no mistake, they see conservatives as their biggest enemy. They think they can handle radical islam once they use it to take down the right. Everyday a democrat is in office, they are working toward imprisoning us, whether it's taking away property, freedoms, or life. Deny it if you please, but that is exactly what we're witnessing in Wisconsin. These leftists have no intention of letting the Constitution get in their way. The useful idiots threatening life and limb is their army. Intimidation is a spectrum and it slowly escalates until it does as intended. If it takes murder to stop conservatives from having a say in their own country, the left will do it.
Right out of the socialist/marxist playbook: Revolution. And that's exactly what they are doing.
Think about it, these are the folks we must leave our kids' minds to every day. Get rid of the unions and/or issue school vouchers.
This is why Walker and other governors absolutely must stand strong against union thuggery.
When will the Socialist Leftists call for Civility ??? NEVER …is all part of the plan, Sam.
Besides, gives them the opportunity to blame the Right, the Tea Party …and Progressive Bush.
Normally, when something this rancid tastes SO bad, I can throw it down the disposal and be done with it, d.
Off topic, but you must see this clip. Obama Nominee Crumbles Trying To Defend WH Budget Deception

"Associate with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for it is better to be alone than in bad company." George Washington
I'm not sure if you're referencing more radical behavior from the useful idiots or if you're assuming there will be some resistance to the useful idiots from the citizenry on the right? I don't believe conservatives will do what is necessary to stop the communist transformation occurring in this country. They will do what they can to vote in leaders that will stop it, but in the end, they won't allow those leaders to do what is truly necessary to stop it. We're letting the government grope our children in the name of safety. We let our elected leaders get away with unspeakable crimes that the citizens spend decades in prison for doing. If we don't have the initiative to stop that, we won't stop anything.
The problem these people have is that they seem to believe they have the numbers on their side. They forget that only around 10 percent of Americans actually belong to a union, and even fewer belong to a public sector union.
Then again, maybe they do realize they don't have the numbers. Their actions are becoming increasingly desperate — and potentially dangerous — which is exactly what happens when an animal knows it is cornered.
The only people who WILL do anything to stop this, will be Constitutonal Conservatives….
The others who call themselves Conservatives, will offer only talk, and discourage any real action….
We need to spit it back in their own faces…..
You're exactly right. They do seem to think that "the people" are on their side. But as reality dawns on them, they will soon discover that their fellow citizens — the non-public sector citizens, are disgusted with them, sick of their whining, and getting angrier by the day.
Maybe, when that reality hits them, and they realize that they're being spoiled brats who are throwing a violent temper tantrum, and not the "truth-to-power" courageous resistance they seem to think they are, they will be chastened. Maybe.
Like projectile vomiting. I like that 2nd word I just used, has a nice sound to it.
I'm afraid that if they're still spoiled brats at this age, they're going to remain brats for the rest of their lives. It's up to us to make sure they stop being spoiled, though.
Vote for the Trumpka/Shankman ticket for the Presidency of the Dishwasher's Union of America!
I know most of you won't be concerned by this but there is a Latter Day prophecy that says the political discourse will become so bad here in America that it will be almost like a 2nd Civil War and right at the moment of the worst (the Constitution will hang by a thread) we will be attacked by an outside "Asian" country bringing us back together as a country to fight against the invader.
Makes me say …..hhhhmmmmmmmmm
http://www.valleyforgeguns.com
Sigh.
What can you say other than textbook hypocrisy? Tea Partiers are racists all day long based on nothing, the AZ shooter was influenced by the Right based on nothing, yet this goes completely and utterly unreported.
They always talk tough, when they have the safety of numbers….
but get one alone and it's another thing, altogether….
BANG…………………………………………thwack……
Obama says these people are my next door neighbors…..
not for long, because I think I smell smoke….
They actually DO have the numbers on their side. That was about 3 weeks ago…now the pro-union support is even stronger. http://people-press.org/report/709/
And, a Wisconsin judge just issued an order temporarily blocking Walker's anti-union law. Said judge is not know as a liberal, rather a very serious and fair one. Of course, Walker will appeal it, but I think this is a good thing. Let it play out in the courts.
Walker has been all over the media explaining how this bill is good for Wisconsin. Of course, he has to be coached by Frank Luntz…LOL. Walker is just a tool. He has no political future at all. Of course…like most politicians, he probably will become a lobbyist.
Yeah, 18 percent of the people who responded to that poll "don't know" who they support, and 9 percent support "neither," so I wouldn't describe that as a clear-cut victory for the pro-union folks.
Moreover, it all depends on how the question is phrased. I know people who think the so-called "attack on collective bargaining" actually happened to private sector unions, too, and that it wasn't limited to public sector unions. That's clearly not the case.
I also know people who will support exactly what happened if the phrase "collective bargaining" is left out. For those people, calling collective bargaining a "right" over and over again apparently had the desired effect that the Left wanted. But when the actual definition of collective bargaining is used in place of the phrase itself, people have no problem with what happened in Wisconsin because they realize how insane it is to even allow public unions.
As for the temporary restraining order, that's over the whole open meetings argument. All that has to be done is for the bill to be put up for another vote. The Democrats can run to Illinois all over again, but the end result will be the same.
wow…lots of union trolls today
I agree that answers oftentimes depend on how the question is phrased, and that polls can be skewed to produce a desire result. That said, there is no more evidence then, to support your contention than there is to support mine. So…let it play out in the courts. Meanwhile the recall efforts are continuing strong.—
Recall efforts on both sides, don't forget. Republicans want "payback," too, but they should just wait until the next election.
In my opinion, everyone ought to just suck it up at this point. If the recall efforts are successful, how much will that cost?
They do have the numbers. I live in Michigan where we have something like 500,000 public employees (state, county, city, municipal, public education, etc.). That's a big block of votes.
This will come as a surprise to all of you, but a lot of people are tired of both parties. We can't stand the right and we can't stand the left. Both sides have destroyed this country. Neither side is making the situation any better or is offering up any real solutions. Their ideals are ruining the world and when anyone speaks out about their damning ideologies they are labeled a fascist or socialist. I am neither and so are more people then you can fathom. Capitalism is not working it is a ticking time bomb that will leave all humanity in the dust. Those crows you complain about for being so black and noisy will be the only intelligent species left on the planet if we continue along with the ride we are on.
Communism/socialism is a dead failure as well. To limit ourselves to two failed systems is a sad joke and it is a joke they use on you to keep you fighting with each other and not working to propel humanity. Your right/left answer is their is nothing better then the system we have now. Well if we can do no better then we truly deserve what we have coming.
Here's a question that I'm not sure has been asked honestly yet. How many of these muckrakers are actually from Wisconsin? That is they would actually be subjected to the legislation that is being considered? Or are they just professional muckrakers.
In my experience, dealing with these types of people from organizations like the Teamsters and the HSUS they are all professional thugs who go from state to state acting like residents, making noise and sending threats, crying like babies until they get their way. If they are not residents of Wisconsin and pay Wisconsin taxes than their opinion isn't worth a pile of crap. This applies to the Michael Moore types as well.
Has anyone really looked into that aspect of this story?
The thugs should realize that there will come a time when those who don't agree with them, will take action and it's not going to be pretty. If the LSM would only do fair and balanced reporting, not slant it to one side or the other, just report what's going on from both sides, this would calm down. I don't believe any school teacher wants to be seen protesting, screaming obscenities and looking stupid, yet they don't have to worry about their local station showing them to the viewers, nor being the short clip on a national ABC broadcast.
As soon as the action starts, between the taxpayers and the union thugs, the national press will try and make it a taxpayer problem. They are just so bad and so obvious.
Living in this is surreal. What you see and what you know simply is not, according to the media.
OBAMA AND THE "PROGRESSIVE" MEDIA, WANTS THEM TO KILL/Annihilate/do away with US/us!!! Affiliate all who disagree with their "Futuristic philosophy" for humankind, as those who need to be eradicated!!!! It is the only way they can Rule Supreme over all the earth!!!
Straight from the Obama adm's playbook , Open And transparent, (deception Illusions)
Beware of the tricks of this master magician.
The crucial element of all magicians is the ability and cunning, to impose his cryptic style upon the gullible, exploit their weakness and prejudice. Praise those that are boisterous and arrogant. Once addicted to this exaggeratted power, his phony and pathetic acts will never be challenged, He now has absolute power, to lie, deceive and exploit his army of believers. Now he can release his army of boisterous, deplorable, rabid and repugnant followers loose , to do his bidding. The poltroo that he is, he will lurch in the background, to save his precious delusions of integrity, openness and transparency, This is going on in Wi. today. Beware of this Magician.
Ow! Good one!
I agree in theory, but as this article points out, the msm is not reporting it.
There's still a large segment of the electorate who gets their news via the msm.
There will always be winners and losers, but at least with capitalism, there are some winners.
It looks like the union thugs have showed up here and clicked the thumbs down button a few times on peoples posts. I'm upping you all.
Is it probably a good thing to provoke these assclowns to show their true colors? All we need is more MSM coverage ("look at all these brave colorful people!") to disgust the apolitical undecideds to turn against these filthy violent lying lefties.
At least we liberals don't kill cats and crawl death threats on them like you on the right do.
