Occupy Wall Street’s imploding, Obama and the Democrats own the chaos, and now the AP is panicking.
But first a little context…
Something happened this month that the mainstream media and the Left (but I repeat myself) never expected. Two months ago, the White House, Democrats, and the MSM were all sure that the #OccupyWallStreet movement would save them in 2012. With thousands of astro-turfed morons in the streets raging against Wall Street, Obama’s allies hoped to use said morons to create a silver lining in the economic cloud he himself created.
The plan was a simple one. The path to Obama’s second term requires that enough voters forget that our current economic woes are the fault of a failed President who enjoyed two years of having every single item on his wish-list passed by Congress. And so the idea was to create Occupy in order to give the MSM the cover they desired to spend every single day up until the election talking about greed and income inequality in order to blame both for the stagnant economy.
The hope was that by repeating this message incessantly, enough voters could be convinced that Wall Street, and by extension, evil Republicans, were to blame for our chronic unemployment, record deficits, and stillborn economic growth. President Obama who?
Fortunately for America, this plan has not only failed miserably it has backfired completely. Thanks to the rise of New Media and our unwillingness to let the MSM’s lies, bias, and cover ups stand for even one more day, Occupy is in its death throes and might take the President and Democratic party down with it. First and foremost, we uncovered the lie that Occupy was grassroots and then we exposed every Occupy rape, poop, death, overdoese, old woman thrown down the stairs, attack on a police officer, and public act of masturbation. In the process, public opinion turned against the Occupiers and as a result these Leftists have started doing what the Left always does when they lose, have a tantrum.
But like I said, the Left and their media allies didn’t expect New Media to own this story and to use the truth to drive the narrative out of their control. And we know they didn’t expect to lose this one because almost every prominent Democrat in America very publicly jumped aboard the Occupy movement with the expectation that their allies in the MSM could control the outcome.
Well, now Democrats like Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi are way out on a limb and have been caught in bed encouraging, endorsing, and attempting to legitimize a wildly unpopular movement most voters now find repulsive.
So what’s a shameless left-wing media to do?
What they always do. Rewrite history.
And it looks as thought the Associated Press has decided to start the memory-holing with the following:

NEW YORK (AP) — The Republican Party and the tea party seemed to be a natural political pairing. But what may have seemed like another politically beneficial alliance — Democrats and Occupy Wall Street — hasn’t happened.

…House Democrats. And look, the story about House Democrats endorsing Occupy is an AP story!
…A President named Obama, who said of Occupy, “We are on their side.”

When the AP matter-of-factly (the most effective way to propagandize) states that this natural alliance “hasn’t happened” … they are lying. The alliance between Occupy and prominent Democrats occurred weeks ago and as one honest Democrat, Doug Schoen, put it just today:
Thursday’s coordinated Occupy Wall Street “National Day of Action” is bad news for the Democratic party, and bad news for President Obama.
But is it really bad news for Democrats when they have the corrupt MSM already out there shilling for them and pretending this solidarity never happened?
Well, maybe it is. If the slow motion implosion of Occupy has taught us anything it’s that the MSM doesn’t have the power it once had to control the narrative. New Media won this one and maybe New Media can can also win the battle of reminding voters of just who it was who ran out to endorse, encourage, and attempt to legitimize vandals, poopers, rapists, and public masturbators.

This 'occupation' is more about a brain-dead base at war with its own party than the country. Occupy's latest creed is: "You can't stop an idea whose time has come". All their ambiguities meet on that one statement, but nobody in a position of real influence on the Left wants to claim them. The mobs are in place, they're appropriately hostile, frustrated, ideologically tongue-tied and they look the part. Everyone knows exactly what they're talking about, but polite discourse in America doesn't dare say it for them until they're ready.
Only weeks before Occupy came to be, Obama was a wit's end over his failed jobs bill, so he blew the dog whistle. He encouraged his base to 'shake off those slippers, get off the couch' and start getting active. So they did, following the very 'social justice' tactics that he espoused in secret, that won them over and swooned him into the White House. What Dems didn't bargain for in the malaise of everything they've instilled into these fools' heads for so long is that they've grown weary of inaction. They're beyond the establishment Left's control. That base is demanding unfettered, openly-declared socialism from their party. They're calling their bluff in their faces and that message is the one Democrats won't dare speak.

I always wondered why lefty celebs and pundints still complain that Obama has not done enough, then it occurred to me that the real reason that the left is still whinning:The new media,Talk Radio, Maher,Schultz, and Sharpton would like nothing more than to arrest,torture,and kill any opposing view point, ,look at the attitudes that pop up when you ask these protesters why the are there.

Thanks for drawing attention to AP. The small group of editors who set the rules for AP content and decide on the MSM narrative have great influence on the public. This star chamber is comprised of some of the most rabbid leftists in American print media, who basically orchestrate writers from the most liberal newspapers to support the leftist agenda. Their support of illegal immigration and attack on the Tea Party are two examples of their bias that comes to mind.
AP needs to be called for what it is: a front for the DNC and progressives.
In other words truly representative of our current "higher education" system in the USA and will most likely stay there until they are professors like Bill Ayers and Francis Fox-Piven.
If you want to know what America will look like if Obama is re-elected, just look at Zuccotti Park in NYC. Zuccotti Park is what Obama wants the entire country to turn into.

Where is Van Jones? He's lived his whole life for this moment. This catastrophe called 'Occupy' is doomed without leadership. Obama's closest ideological ally needs redemption. Jones is the only unoccupied man on the Left who can bring them all the legitimacy of the Democratic Party along with the tactical know-how and confidence of the president himself. It would do wonders for their depleted spirits! Are the Dems suggesting that these poor, desperate people are exhausting their family's savings, sleeping on cold pavement and risking their health and well-being for weeks on end over nothing?
The AP needs to retract a lie from their own Mission Statement. The one that claims the AP "abhors bias."

Academia has, over the past 25 to 35 years, been creating degrees for which one didn't need one.
It used to be that you could work for Parks and Recreation with just a HS diploma – not anymore.
Same with the Forest Service and many other public sector jobs. Back in 1988 a huge push came
over the private sector – that unless you had a college degree, you should not be allowed to hold an
executive position. Then the push was on for any position in any company that a college degree was
a must …unless you were just flipping burgers or being some kind of low-life cashier …but that, too,
will change if these FRAUDS (academia) have their way. Hell, you'll need a college degree to be a
garbage collector or a janitor.

While AP and msm try to rewrite history maybe they should consider a basic rule of reality – You can rewrite the history books but you cannot rewrite the historical facts.

Truly sad, Squishy. That academia has, coupled with the Unions, engineered new job titles and positions and written a specific ciriculum to go along with it is despicable. Non-academia parents need to wake up and have this realization as well.
I believe these public "higher education" institutions have done themselves in at this point in time. By being the greedy bastards they are (and have been) and the current economy, enrollment is going to plummet as the parents are not going to be able to pay, which is what academia has been relying on for decades.

A founder of a local Tea Party has agreed to meet with Occupy Houston. Hopefully, more will be willing to meet. Yeah. Occupy Houston is a non-violent group. We have common issues. Especially about the bailouts. Plus, giving them the opportunity to get more edjumicated. Portland, Oakland and New York City? Y'all are on your own. Please wish Houston, luck!! This article is not debunking anything. If you actually read the AP article, it says that Dems have tried reaching out to the Occupy movement, but the protesters don't really want to be affiliated with the party. Dems are still actively courting the Occupy movement, with Rep. Deutsch having just introduced a constitutional amendment named OCCUPY.
And it is surprising that you say the movement is dead when 40,000 people marched in New York on Thursday.
And it is absurd to quote Doug Schoen as speaking for the Democrats. From the beginning, Doug Schoen has been encouraging Dems to NOT support Occupy Wall Street, smearing protesters as radicals in the Wall Street Journal and misrepresenting his own poll numbers:

The times have changed and the left doesn't really fully understand it. Yesterday I was watching a news helicopter video of riot police pushing a crowd of rioters back. What struck me was that there were maybe two dozen protesters, and at least a hundred people standing doing nothing but videotaping the scene on their cell phones. Cell phone cameras have completely changed the rules of the game. They have made it virtually impossible for anyone to control and manipulate the narrative because the truth is being continually video recorded around them from a dozen different angles. The left is still trying to play by the old rules, where they can fabricate the narrative and be backed up by the "unimpeachable" media. But it doesn't work anymore when dozens of youtube videos contradict the mainstream media.
The MAJORITY of American citizens, as well as our Military, have "rejected" the OWS protests and protesters, and that only leaves liberals, Democrats, and Obama and his Administration LOOKING LIKE ABSOLUTE FOOLS!!! The Democrats OWN "OWS" now—they need to man-up!

Many on the left are taking it one step further and trying to convince anyone who will listen that none of the rapes, pubilc defecation and masturbation, etc. actually took place. I noticed a post on a friend's facebook wall in which an occu-parasite was claiming the Tea Party spit on black people. I pointed out that the incident in question never happened and I mentioned multiple incidents at OWS. He flat out called me a liar and said I should stop listening to the "faux news". They are banking on the fact that the legion OWS negative incidents will never make it to most voters, who will not take the time to examine alternative news outlets. In other words, once again the left relies on laziness and ignorance for votes.
Anybody with half a brain could have told the Dems that this Occupy nonsense would degenerate into the morass it is and come back to bite them in the fundament. Apparently the Democratic Party (and its minions in the MSM) don't have half a brain collectively.
John, you forgot the greatest head scratcher of all, Bloomberg and his rather interesting position when this first started – remember? He said that they could stay there all day, all night, for as long as they wanted. Despite the lack of process they force the Tea Party to follow with permits and security, he gave them everything they wanted. Yes Bloomberg started the ball rolling and businesses on, of all places, wall street gave them free food and drink. It was just a matter of party games after that. Oh wait, that was Bloomberg the other day that called a halt to the "movement."__Guess reality is a real mother when politics takes over common sense…
