Not sure what to believe anymore? That includes you too Andrew. Everbody has a slant it's just human nature, but at least try to be fair. I give you the benefit of the dought only because I tend to slant to the right or closer to the conservative side of most argurments. I do not want the Gov. deciding who or for what I spend my $$$ on. If I chose to take it all to Vegas and blow it on the crap table I don't thing my neighbors should pay my rent for me or feed my kids. And if you choose to not get an education or vocation I don't feel I should pay your rent or feed your kids. Nor do I think I should pay for you to get reeducted after several stays in rehab that I don't want to pay for either. The breakdown of the family unit is killing our country and what passes for entertainment these days on the tube is sickening! Our public education system is turning into prep-school for welfare (Learn just enough to fill out the forms).
Sorry ranting today! Sick of media stories about the media.

What is the point of all this huffin' and puffin' about the liberal media conspiracy? It is because the MSM presents themselves as non-partisan, impartial, truth tellers that have the God's eye view on everything. To this day, moderates and independents buy this drivel, primarily because they have no choice. They are the people who decide the outcomes of all elections, but with their busy lives they only have time to watch a half hour of nightly news or morning pap. So they gravitate to a media outlet that appears "trustworthy". If the moderates and independents ever come to view the MSM as pure Democratic partisans, the MSM will lose their power and their audience. The MSM has to maintain this fiction to keep their audience and their power to control election outcomes.

I guess shutting down the Journolist means it takes these guys a few days longer to ask each other which talking point might work the best, debate it, and then come to a consensus. Email must feel like snail mail now!!! haha

Todd is a tool who hid the Edwards story. I could give a flip less about what he thinks because he is emblematic of all that is modern legacy media: the husband of a Democratic Party appartchik who spews propaganda under the guise of information. Nothing new here to see for once.

What makes Journolist such a major scandal, and probably represents the final nail in the old media's coffin, is that it reveals the mindset of these people. The most pernicious of the insanity is that people who are supposed to disseminate information spend an awfully lot of time pondering how to suppress the news. There's a word for it, much overused: fascism. And that is what these secretive thugs embraced.

The headline in question reads:"JournoList debates making its coordination with Obama explicit." And that is exactly what was done, the Jounolist members debated coordination. That they did not cooridinate is not the issue, they did debate coordination. Mr. Sargent needs to pick up a dictionary and look up the word "debate". Classless clown.

The same old story. A cabal of left-wing journalists is uncovered, coordinating talking points to vilify the right and protect a candidate, so there MUST be a right-wing conspiracy….. A cabal of southern slave-owners conspiring to use federal power to extend their "property" rights into "free" states is defeated in an election, so there must be a right-wing conspiracy to destroy states-rights.
