Even as America comes to the grips with the terrorist attack that took place at Fort Hood, it seem that Major Nidal Malik Hasan’s unindicted co-conspirator, “political correctness,” has yet again claimed the lives of innocent Americans.
It seems that Hasan’s superiors were well aware of his fascination with radical Islam as junior officers grew more concerned with his attitude and radical ramblings, yet rather than confront or investigate Major Hasan, his superior at Walter Reed took the politically correct way out and simply transferred this disgruntled officer to another command to be someone else’s problem.
Those superiors, who simply washed their hands of Hasan rather than investigate him, are just as guilty as Hasan himself. However this is not the first and will not be the last time that political correctness will claim the lives of Americans.
You see, according to those, who believe in political correctness, Americans no matter what our color or gender are guilty of something and any investigation into Hasan would have been dismissed as our government going after another innocent Muslim American, no matter the evidence to show otherwise or a possible real threat. In the mindset of these people our behavior has to be corrected and enlighten, so their vision of America can come true.
Hasan’s defenders claim that it is not so much his beliefs in radical Islam that are at fault here, but the stress of being an Army major and psychiatrist having to listen to the horror stories of returning troops from Iraq and Afghanistan that finally made him crack, not the radical teaching of his imam or his communications with radical Muslim elements around the world. Chicago Mayor Daley, in an interview, went so far as to blame private gun ownership for the killings at Fort Hood and not the role of political correctness. Political correctness is so ingrained here that President Obama refuses to call this incident a terrorist attack.

Political correctness even played a role in the failure of law enforcement to capture Beltway sniper John Allen Muhammad in the early days of his two-week rampage. A Baltimore police officer actually stumbled upon Muhammad and his co-conspirator, Lee Boyd Malvo, asleep in the very car that was used in the attacks, but rather than run a background check, the officer allowed them to proceed elsewhere because the officer was afraid the charge of “racial profiling” would be leveled against him; the public was bombarded by the so-called experts nightly, who boasted that a lone Southern white anti-government “redneck” was the likely culprit behind the shootings. To say Americans were surprised by the arrest of Muhammad and Malvo would be an understatement.

Political correctness also played a major role in the terrorist attacks of 9-11, as a wall of ignorance was used by the 19 terrorists to get around law enforcement and federal officials as several men were able to overstay their visas. The operations leader was stopped in Florida in 1998, but due to political correctness (the illusion of racial profiling,) he was let go with a warning and we all know the end result.
Then there are those like former congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, who boasted that Bush officials knew in advance about 9-11, yet did nothing to stop it. Had former Attorney General John Ashcroft learned of the attacks that morning and ordered federal agents to storm airliners throughout the nation detaining Arabic men at will, there would have been calls for his head and investigations into charges of “racial profiling.”
It is time for Americans to wake up and understands that our enemies are not allowing political correctness to get in the way of their mission, which is to inflict as much damage to our way of life as they can.

Well written, Mr. Martin. Political correctness is nothing more than an invention created by those who preach "social justice".
Wonderful and very insightful piece Mr. Martin…thank you for stating what "should" be very obvious to all Americans. Indeed, more attacks, killings, and harm will come to us here on our soil and abroad unless we get past this unwritten rule that certain groups of people are protected from scrutiny. If something doesn't seem right…ACT!!!! don't be a wussy when standing up for our safety and protection – for all.
Political correctness of the military equates to The Roman Catholic's Church's approach to child abuse, the system allowed it to be pushed over to another position to find a fit. So if a suit can occur towards the Holy, why can't a suit towards the sacred?
After reading the below defense of this murdering Islamist, I'm sure a few grunts beyond the wire in the sandbox are puking up their morning MREs.
"Hasan’s defenders claim that it is not so much his beliefs in radical Islam that are at fault here, but the stress of being an Army major and psychiatrist having to listen to the horror stories of returning troops from Iraq and Afghanistan that finally made him crack, not the radical teaching of his imam or his communications with radical Muslim elements around the world."
"The stress of being an Army major and psychiatrist…"??? WTF?
What happened was that true American values collided with the brainwashing of the Koran's persistent call to jihad and snapped the already weak mind of someone who should never have been allowed to don the uniform.
PROFESSOR TURGESON – Great name from a great movie. "Political Correctness Kills." So says the bumper sticker at http://www.keep2theright.com
"but the stress of being an Army major and psychiatrist having to listen to the horror stories of returning troops from Iraq and Afghanistan"
Except, as it turns out, Hasan's job did not involve counseling returning combat vets. Just another left-wing fabrication.
I enjoyed the article and agree 100%. This is something I have believed since I first ran into PC in college.

When you can't call a spade a spade, or" tell it like it is,"
then Political Correctness is nothing more then the worst kind CENSORSHIP….
As a major in the active Army, I'm not sure what "stress" these folks are referring to. There is certainly is stress in certain jobs one takes on as a major…..battalion operations officer (s3), battlion executive officer (XO), etc, etc…..but we're trained to deal with that.
I'm not a psychiatrist and am not familiar with what they go through in their line of work. But I doubt it is as "stressful" as being a battalion S3 designing a operation that will put the lives of our Soldiers at risk as they go and kick Taliban butt.
Political correctness is just a tool to advance statism.
It's the worst kind of "burying your head in the sand" that there is.
What's funny is that if you say something about black people to a white person, they will deem you a racist and dismiss you forever.
You say the same thing about black people to a black person, and they say, "Yeah, that's true."
POLITICAL CORRECTNESS KILLS. So says the bumper sticker at http://www.keep2theright.com
In essence, the whole denial / transfer thing reminds me of the scandals in the Roman Catholic church – leaders afraid to discipline their subordinates because of fear of reprisal or public opinion, and shuffling them over to someone else's jurisdiction instead. Ultimately the chickens come home to roost.
But it's a frightening thing when those who are tasked with protecting us from our enemies are afraid to identify enemies within the system…
Um, Malvo was apprehended because a civilian found them asleep in their car, blocked their escape with his truck, and called police. I'm thinking your allegation of the "politically correct" Baltimore policeman afraid of being accused of "profiling" is a fairy tale. Got a link to back up your claim? Happy to be proven wrong, since you've done so much "research."
Bottom line: Blacks and Moooooooooooooslims in the USA are "Democrat victims", and will not be held responsible for their "axtions" by the Obamies. "Welcome to the Jungle………………………………."
Wow, leave it to lil Dicky Daley to use his dumb ass argument about guns, the man is freakin clueless! PC has destroyed far more than it has ever 'helped' -
Well, a Baltimore police officer did stop them while Muhammed was asleep in the car but didn't question them even though he was suspicious. In this initial report (pre-charges) the officer said he didn't go further because there were no outstanding warrants on Muhammed's record.

However, I do remember quite well that the profilers declared the perp to be a white male. Then there were the white van sightings and all the images of white males on their faces on the asphalt. I also remember reports after-the-fact that people did report seeing the dark blue Chevrolet with two black men, but nobody checked it out further.
I also remember Juan Williams on Fox News saying that he "never in a million years" dreamed it would be a black man. Although there are definitely past shootings on record that were perpetrated by black men — the LIR mass shooting as well as the Killian TX fast food restaurant mass shooting to name two off the top of my head — somehow it was never dreamed that a black man might be behind these crimes.
That is political correctness conditioning at work.
You are right on target here, Mr. Martin. Political correctness is a form of indoctrination whereby people knee-jerk away from following their own instincts.
Before 9/11, Muhammad Atta went to learn about getting a crop dusting plane and apparatus. The woman (who happened to be black, IIRC) he spoke to was very suspicious, but she chose to simply answer his questions and not to report him and admitted that she didn't want to seem like she was profiling. Google Muhammed Atta and crop dusting and you'll probably come across some articles about this event.
There were other signs beforehand that were ignored because of political correctness and it's hard to believe, with devastating proof of how dangerous this practice is, that we're still mired in it.
I am sooo glad that we are seeing the evil intent of PC. "all men are created equal", needs to be reinstated as a belief in American society. Unfortunately, most of what democrats do to help us is keep themselves in power by picking their side to win. Lawless law is what we live under today for the most part. I'll tell you what, infinite life will never be based on anything other than infinite law, if you have a respect for others to live in Liberty, & are a good person.
The evils of our society will die in the infinite, as it is human nature to punish ones own self for the ill begotten booty of tyranny. In every case, the worst sickness that man has ever known, has had to do with the accumulation of power of one kind or another. It a power madness that rules our radical democrats of today. & the progressives are mostly lemming drones. A sad fact is that the victims who suffer the most under tyranny, are the ones who support it.
Evil always gets in by charm, not outright viciousness. & it invariably helps us into our grave.
"It is a power madness". Sorry, I can't type, it's the immortality, I tell you, it makes me type bad.
"Political Correctness" is just another tool in the "bag of tricks" of the enemies of our country. They are dismantling iour country tenet by tenet and one fundemental belief at a time.
There is NO excuse how or why a POS like Hasan got to where he was, and was able to do what he did.
"Political Correctness" has allies in the ACLU, the Democrat Party, the education monolith, university and colleges, city, state and federal bureaucracies, volunteer organizations and anywhere else the truth is a stranger and conservative principals and common sense are the enemy.
I know…The Truth Hurts so why not just say it? Afraid Husan would have broke down and cried or something? NO, instead he murdered how many Americans? How is that Political Correctness working out for you?
Nice work Kevin, excellent analysis and commentary!
“Political correctness” is just a catch phrase and concept to stifle the first amendment right of freedom of speech.
I can remember when the ACLU actually defended freedom of speech and sued to allow the American Nazi Party to march in a predominantly Jewish suburb of Chicago. They would not do that today. “Political correctness” has usurped the first amendment right of freedom of speech with its definition of “hate speech”.
Whatever happened to the concept of: “I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”?
Now days, it seems to be “Shut up, you might offend someone.”
Political Correctness, is a sound byte, that validates lies, justifying violations of natural laws!!!! No other species on earth can lie or make laws, only humans, but even they are bound by the natural laws!!! As reactions to violations increase, more "Political Correctness" must be applied to mask the perversions of the actions responsible for the catastrophes caused by false practices!!! The more "Political Correctness" there is, the greater is the need for it, to keep the blinded civil!!! "Political Correctness" is a tool used to control!!!
Mayor Daley blames private gun ownership for the Ft. Hood shooting? THERE'S GUNS EVERYWHERE ON THE MILITARY BASE. Daley is yet another sad example of an ultra-liberal who does not believe in personal accountability. The fact that Hasan wasn't a combat troop and was surrounded by guys who have put in multiple tours pretty much disproves that whole "stress was gettin' to him" argument, too. And shouting "Allah Ackbar"? Sigh…
Might have to give the PC book by Ellis a read sometime. It seems like I've been playing catch-up the last two years in term of research, history and philosophy.
This problem is a lot more pervasive than you think. There are communities where the tolerances are way beyond the norm, places like in Minnesota and upstate new york. A great example is the Al Qaeda agent that worked at five or six nuke plants and no one noticed anything. Most citizens are scrutinized over very average issues such as a drinking violation or other mundane violations. There are programs in place where our country is almost recruiting these types of folks for government positions.
When the sniper killings began I said out loud to the TV, "Muslims, it's muslims." Weeks went on, with all kinds of experts claiming it was angry white men and I kept yelling back, "it's muslims." People would have told me I was racist before they were caught, but what do you know, when they were caught, everyone was surprised, but me. There were witnesses interviewed who said they saw "brown or black" men driving away, but they were ignored, because the "experts" said it was angry white men. How many people died because the "experts" can't be wrong?
"Got a link to back up your claim?"
Why not be a responsible adult and first offer your proof that Martin is lieing?
