I recently watched the HBO documentary Reporter, profiling the New York Times columnist and Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, Nicholas Kristof, as he reported on the genocide taking place in the Congo.
Notably, the documentary spent considerable time focusing on Kristof’s journalistic standards, rather than only spotlighting the great tragedy taking place. In fact, much of the video documents Kristof teaching his trade to journalism students. That part of the film was very revealing.
One highlight of the documentary was when Kristof traveled to a village that had just been ransacked by militants. Villagers told Kristof that an enormous number of people were murdered. Their stories were horrific.
However, despite their eyewitness testimony, Kristof was skeptical about what he was told. In fact, he continued to inquire about who saw the murders. Was there proof about the number of people killed? Was there any evidence? He didn’t believe it was enough to simply report that villager X saw Y happen; he wanted the truth. Reflecting on that clip, I wonder whether I would have held myself to such a high standard, or would I have simply reported what someone told me?
I bring up Kristof not because I agree with all of his personal politics; I don’t, nor do I bring him up because I believe he is a perfect journalist with no bias whatsoever. Instead, I choose to spotlight Kristof because most journalists respect his work and it sets a great benchmark for what the Tea Party should expect out of journalists. By using Kristof’s method as a professional standard, I cannot be accused of simply accusing all reporters of having a liberal bias.
Now, let’s compare Kristof’s standards to the recent Tea Party reporting of the N-Word allegedly being directed at congressmen.
Supposedly, the N-Word was yelled 15 times at Rep. Lewis D-Ga and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus by Tea Party members. How do reporters know this happened? Well, Rep. Lewis said it happened along with a few other members of the Caucus who were with him. However, there is no video evidence of this occurring despite numerous recordings of the event.
Andrew Breitbart has offered $100,000 to the United Negro College Fund for any video evidence of the charges. Breitbart is now being accused of commentating on a video that did not record the correct time of the alleged event despite no other known videos demonstrating use of the N-Word. All Breitbart was asking for was additional evidence. None exists.
Moreover, police at the scene apparently didn’t see the need to intervene nor did they report hearing the N-Word yelled.
Lastly, as if this was not bad enough, numerous reporters have cited Rep. Lewis’ past civil rights-era achievements as evidence that this event occurred. The relevance of this fact does not seem clear. Worse yet, anonymous “white” lawmakers have been cited, with no evidence presented, simply an assertion.
Based on Kristof’s standard of employing rational skepticism of every source, this is not journalism. In the case of the Tea Partiers, accusations are accepted at face value, biases of the accusers are ignored, and the accused are slandered because they dare ask for evidence.
If this is the new journalistic standard, there is no reason why “journalists” who engage in such slander should be considered professionals. If Kristof is willing to be skeptical of people claiming hundreds of villagers were massacred in the Congo, I think it is reasonable for our free press to be skeptical that the N-word was yelled 15 times in public, with dozens of video cameras present, and yet without any evidence actually recorded.

Modern American journalism reminds me of a famous Pauline Kael quote. The eminent NY Times film critic was with a group of her colleagues watching Nixon win 49 out of 50 states in 1972. She was reported to have said, at one point, "How can this be? I don't know anyone who voted for him!"
She failed to realize that this said more about her and her friends than it did about Nixon…or the voting public.
Such is the life bubble of the American lamestream elites…
It'll happen again in 2012.
Main Steam Media and journalistic integrity. That's an oxymoron if I've ever heard one.
And in November, 2010.
Yep.
Journalism and integrity. Beyond teaching them not to plagarize and to quote sources, there is none.
There is no such thing as a journalist without bias. Why? Because they are human.
That being said, true journalistic integrity would mean that ANYONE claiming to be a journalist should make it publicly known what their political leanings are at minimum, and what their basic belief system is. Thus the reader could better ask her/his own questions about said journalists possible slant.
The great Walter Cronkite waited until years after he essentially retired to proclaim "Yes, I am a liberal"
I ask anyone, how wrong was that? Looking back now, I say it was way wrong. Had I known, it doesn't necessarily mean I would have come to any different conclusion than I actually did about his reporting. All it means is that I was denied the opportunity to consider whether his liberalism might be nudging me to his personal point of view.
Until such time as a race of Vulcan's like Mr. Spock arrives on the journalistic scene, it is in my belief that the FIRST duty of a journalist is to let me know WHO he is, and THEN tell me the news.
Who am I? I tend to be Socially Liberal, (what others choose to do is not my business so long as said people are not trampling on my own constitutional rights to do it) and a Fiscal Conservative, (the people know what they need, and will provide it for themselves, and can distribute their own charity as they see fit without the law taking it from one, and deciding who needs it more than you)
Thank You and Good Day.
The most infuriating thing to me is when the nonevent happened Michael Steele and John Boehner like trained seals repudiate the false accusations. This only helped the MSM’s attempt to define the fine Americans who with their own money, and time attend the Tea Parties. Besmirching a whole group of people with the throw away term “racist,” completely missing the point.
The problem with this charge is that, for many American, it created a first impression about the Tea Party that has been very hard to dislodge. If the Tea Party hadn't fought back this hard (as many on the Left insist we should have done), then I suspect the narrative would have been firmly set by now in the minds of most Americans.
Which is why we need to keep the pressure up and our defense vocal.
There seems to be one consistent point in all of the MSM reporting and that is laziness. Every story that has any hint of race involved, the MSM goes to the same sources with the same stories repeated adnaseum, albeit a twist here and there to suit the particular episode. Race story, go to a civil rights figure. Watch any T.V. newscast or show for the last 30 years and there is Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and a few others spouting off with a reporter nodding and accepting without any serious questioning. It may fit the MSM template as to the way the world is, but the worst part is the sheer laziness of the industry.
"Lastly, as if this was not bad enough, numerous reporters have cited Rep. Lewis’ past civil rights-era achievements as evidence that this event occurred. The relevance of this fact does not seem clear. Worse yet, anonymous “white” lawmakers have been cited, with no evidence presented, simply an assertion."
What's the racist, bigoted mindset of Progressive Democrats which has created imaginary corroborative "white" lawmakers?
Why, that if black people aren't believed, it's not because the evidence doesn't support their claims, it's because THEY'RE BLACK.
One can easily imagine a Democrat waving a finger at a skeptic, saying "How dare you question Mr. Cleaver's assertion that he saw an elephant dancing in a tree! He is a respected elder of the civil rights movement and an authentic black!"
How can anyone seriously support Democrats? Really.
I guess Im not surprised At all, none of this is shocking to anyone. Everyone knows the game that is being played. How many here have heard radio personalities such as rush call them " drive by media"? That is all the reporting is that infuriates all of those who desire to have a fair stake in what is reported. Who ever promised we would ever get a fair claim? What noble person claimed the tea Perry would automaticaly be treated with a just response? No one is the answer. The hard cold reality is we will never feel we were justly treated as long as this fight continues. The only resonable response is through the market. To starve those who try to pass tripe as fact, who spread gossip as though it were sent from God himself. To deny these people of any concrete evidence that they can claim any legitimate foothold to thier claims. This will eventually starve them economicaly and through thier actions turn them into the fools they are.
Simply put, there is no need to be angry or surprised at the injust of it all. We know who they are. The question is can we remain in the right, on the side of honesty, I say YES. It's obvious to me that these in the media are just as afraid as those in the tea parties, the difference is they are the aggressors, we are the defenders.
Sorry for grammatical errors typed on an iPod
Would you like us to take up a collection to buy you a new club so you can keep beating this dead horse?
The Birther issue is a dead end. Yes, I would like to have seen the media do it's job and delve into BOs past. They didn't, and we have what we have. It isn't going to change, no birth certificate smoking gun is ever going to be produced, and pigs will fly before Obama is ever impeached because of his alleged nationality issues. Put your energy into getting this regime turned out in November and in '012, or keep flogging the deceases equine and look more foolish and irrelevant as time goes by.
What bugs me most about the whole Obama situation isn't that voters were hoodwinked by Obama. They're idiots. What does piss me off beyond belief is that the GOP and even members of the Tea Party movement have swallowed the MSM's script that questioning Obama's legitimacy according to Article II is a verboten topic.
We're not talking about "9/11 is an inside job". That's crackpot tripe. There are enough questions, increasing contradictory evidence and enough attempts by Obama to obfuscate the situation (and ridicule the questioners, Alinsky-style) that it's become what could be the story of the century.
Talk about "historic": an enterprising journalist could literally up-end the presidency like Lefty journo idols Woodward and Bernstein did. Every reporter nowadays aspires to do something like that, but only if it happens to a Republican. Dan Rather even destroyed his own reputation trying to sully President Bush — and even if Rather's fake National Guard paperwork was true, it wouldn't have booted Bush out of office.
Any MSM journalist worth his/her salt has a RESPONSIBILITY to uncover the truth of Obama's origins (whatever that may be), and a TRUE shot at immortality. But they won't, because Obama represents all their ideological hopes and dreams. Pathetic.
This boils down to one simple concept. The MSM wants access to the power brokers in D.C. and especially to Obama and his administration. The only way this will happen is to create stories that they will like and to hell with the truth. Journalism is the act of selling a product and to continue selling it access to the biggest stories is necessary. The MSM believes in the concept that they are the big dogs in the room and are perplexed why their stories are not accepted because "Obama won, why aren't those who voted for him buying our product?"
It's because of stories like this that has exposed them and their agenda and Americans are no longer falling face down at the alter of the MSM and the political power brokers. They are, in fact, beginning to face them down and turning the trend around so that the truth is the most important aspect of journalism. All hail the return of character and integrity by those who tell the truth to benefit the reader and not the story teller.
The reason the birther movement is not dead is because the MSM and the administration prop it up for a straw man to knock down when ever they have to change the subject.
It ain't going away as long as there's still some use for it.
If I recall, didn't the news leak out several years ago that LBJ's people were in touch with Cronkite to run as VP on Johnson's ticket?
That tells me the GOP isn't even sure what's going on at the tea parties. And if you ask me that's great. The worst possible thing that could happen at this point – in my opinion – is if the GOP inserts themselves at the top and proclaim they are in charge.
Because if they did, I'm pretty sure the tea parties would turn on them. This is anti big government, not anti Obama. When it comes to big spending, the GOP is only second to dems.
Nice little racket, ain't it? Reporters go to Sharpton & Jackson, giving them national exposure, which legitimizes their status as leaders, which means the MSM goes back, around and around.
Exactly- The MSM has no idea how much they have helped to embolden the Tea party cause. It has become personal and that will bring a lot more angry voters to the polls this year than voting on policy issues only. I think we will need to send a "Thank You " card to the MSM when they look aghast on Nov. 3, 2010 at what they have helped create.
THEY HAVE NO CLUE OR DO NOT WISH TO ADMIT WHAT IS REALLY HAPPENING!
I read a comment the other day and the comment clarified for me what is going on in the Democrat party regarding black people. The commenter devised the concept that the Party had become the new plantation owners. That thought became a clarifier for me when you consider that the Democrats want to control everything about black culture, politics and economics. Schools, unions, welfare, abortion, affirmative action, etc. are all under the control of Democrat policies and agendas. This is all under the thumb of white politicians, white MSM personalities with black overseers that control the streets, i.e., community organizers, teachers unions, SEIU, ACORN, etc. A good example of this is the streets of Chicago from which Obama was nurtured and rose to power. Rather than streets, maybe a better moniker would be Daley's plantation and Overseer Obama's section of plantation.
This is all quite clear to me now. Slavery still exists in America but the owners don't own their bodies but rather their hearts and minds. And, the slaves supply them not with cotton, but with the power, influence and wealth they covet. I'm ashamed to have taken so long to realize this.
Bravo!
i used to be on the staff of a JUNIOR COLLEGE newspaper. our journalistic standards were such that we could not print something as fact unless we had at least 3 sources. THREE CREDIBLE SOURCES. now, apparently, you can publish something as fact based on a Liberal saying "I heard it!"
Exactly- The MSM has no idea how much they have helped to embolden the Tea party cause. It has become personal and that will bring a lot more angry voters to the polls this year than voting on policy issues only. I mean no disrespect but you honestly never picked up on the idea that Cronkite was liberal until he told you that fact?! I find that quite troubling but at least you are an honest person to admit this to all of us!
If Nixon had been shot in a motorcade in Dallas the media would have had a difficult time holding down their gleeful emotions. With JFK's murder the media and especially Cronkite was teary-eyed about the incident for the next 40 years!
And everyone really knows that Soros pulled our dear leader out of his ass.
I'm not old enough to have marched in Selma but I greatly admired several of my friend's parents who did. In the late 60's, some of us were considered radicals because we vehemently opposed the segregation of our lily white upper middle class high school in the Chastain Park section of Atlanta. But we had no voice. Later I became very active in the nascent chapter NOW and campaigned & voted for the 1st Black Atlanta Mayor, Maynard Jackson, and the 1st Black GA Congressman, John Lewis.
After 20 something years, I've only just moved back into John Lewis's district. I confess to not really paying attention to politics. But Comrade Barry more than got my attention and "Awakened" me. Hopefully not too late!
Like Oprah, John Lewis either duped me and soooo many others or she/he morphed into or were corrupted into becoming something totally different.
Further, Lewis and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus have forfeited, over and over, any credibility and relevance righteously earned by past civil rights-era achievements. They've done this by doing a complete 180 and becoming the Black versions of dishonest, bigoted, racist scum they once fought…Who, interestingly enough, ALSO were (95%) Democrats!! They were called "Yella Dog Democrats" – since Reconstruction – because they'd vote for a "yella" dog they'd vote for a Republican (the emancipators, anti-segregationists, over throwers of Jim Crow Laws).
M.Webbster/ Bigot: a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance.
Now Lewis, et al, have EARNED the Bigot label by painting anyone who opposes them with the same broad brush & with as much evil, factually baseless, intent as their previous oppressors. Only, because of this past experience, they have rendered themselves even more contemptible!
I still STRONGLY believe in and support EQUAL RIGHTS for EVERYONE; NO preferential treatment for anyone (ie, no REVERSE discrimination which "affirmative"/diversity programs have become); Equal opportunity/level playing field for everyone.
Therefore, I will very actively work against any bigoted racist who tosses baseless toxic aspersions at groups of American citizens merely exercising FREE SPEECH – after arrogantly walking amongst them, like an elitist bully, try to bait them into some infraction. Hey John, is this a tactic you picked up from Bull Conner? His shoes now seem to fit you ever so snugly – so put them on & march on out of Washington – but hopefully to parts unknown – not back to Atlanta. We don't need/want your ilk here. And take Barry & the rest of the minions with you!!!!
Oh, and don't forget to take NOW, Pelosi, Boxer, and others who have so perverted the women,s movement.
We know what thier game is let's put all this energy into proving to the average person just how wrong the liberal/ progrressive media is and defeating them in the elections to soon come/ for me thier lies are a call to arms and the weapons of choice are not the thuggery witnessed this Friday past in the French quarter. Our weapon is thier viiolence thier lies
I used to call myself a Social Liberal/Political Conservative – Libertarian now seems to fit better.
As to Cronkite, here in the South, he was considered a pinko whose slanted reporting further politicized (causing politicians run the show rather than the Generals who actually were TRAINED at War College – sadly this crap continues unabated with a totally inept politicians to the detriment of the military) causing the Vietnam War to be further drawn out & ultimately lost; not to mention the despicable treatment of the Vets coming home. Per full disclosure, anchor/news readers should stick to a BALANCED presentation of the FACTS. Else, they HAVE to state their presentation is an opinion/editorial piece PLUS divulge any vested interest they or their employers/networks have (most notoriously NBC/MSNBC/GE re: selling stuff to Iran which ends up being used against our troops in the middle east; anything to do with pseudo-science/global warming – GE has financial interests in every facet from light bulbs to solar energy, etc; Obamacare – GE will reap BIG TIME from electronic billing over which they have a MONOPOLY plus being a major supplier of hospital equipment; GE CEO Jeff Immelt is one of Barry's go-to guys on everything & one of the few CEOs in the country who has ready access to the White House…..ie, EVERYTHING about NBC/MSNBC and "journalism" is fraudulent unless more correctly describing it as "yellow" or "cronyism" reporting.)
With the exception of Jay Leno, I NEVER have reason to tune in. And I try to abort a connection to any web site associated with them as fast as I can. If all links from Breibart.com & trusted others sites forewarned me of the source/destination, (How about "By clicking this link, you may be exposed to political porn & thereby generating income for their spewing propaganda!) I could be spared from potentially aiding and abetting traitors!
As these so called "professionals" no longer fit the definition of "journalist" (one who reports in the most objective and unbiased way to serve the public good) their much more appropriate moniker should henceforth be "propagandist".
To complete the picture of Democrats/Progressives as modern plantation owners, consider what awaits those minorities who "step off the plantation" via a choice to espouse conservative views, or enjoy, rather than "reject middle-classness" (Rev. Wright), and love the opportunity this country affords rather than wallow in manufactured victim status.
Minorities who do not allow themselves to be herded and managed by Progressives are vilified. Their characters are assassinated. They are disparaged in every way possible. They are seen as ungrateful traitors and essentially beaten until they "get back on the porch" (as was said to Juan Williams when he did not exactly toe the party line).
Agreed. Consider too, the rap and R&B culture that dumbs down the very people that support their lifestyles of luxury, wealth and celebrity. The "Don't Snitch" philosophy, the gangsta persona, fatherless families, welfare checks etc. These people are enslaving their own people with every CD, video, and fashion line they produce. The culture of "don't act white" is glorified by the elite black culture in music and especially comics such as Chris Rock and everyone else who mocks not only their behavior but in particular white behavior and culture. Worse, celebrities such as Bill Crosby are vilified for trying to drag his people out of the self-defeating attitudes and behaviors.
Obama is clearly the highest plantation overseer to rise to a point where he can attack lower level white wealth, i.e., the tea partiers, and feed the plantation owners with their ownership perks and benefits. Again, Chicago is a prime example. Democrats have dominated the city and county for decades with little influence from Republicans. Why no Republican involvement? It's because they're at the trough, but just at the lower end of it and are happy to feed well without taking any of the heat or responsibility for governing.
I'll say one thing for Obama, he's awakened a lot of people as to what's going on in Democrats minds, brought to light past practices and policies and they're taking action.
There's a reason you extremist partisan wackos are excluded from the mainstream.
Decent people shudder at your tactics and your disgraceful treatment of John Lewis.
Shame on all of you!
Obama is a foreign-born Muslim and a socialist. The mainstream media is run by Jews who want to destroy America. This we know. The real shame is that we're branded as racists for standing up and telling the truth!
Pssst, we are the decent people, you are the partisan wackos. We are America, you anti-America. We do shudder at the moonbat things you do though.
As far as John Lewis, he's a liar, or do you have proof otherwise? That's what I thought.
I agree. If I want to spend my own money on Klan membership and a new Klan robe, that's my business, not the MSM's! I belong to the Ku Klux Klan and the tea party movement because I'm a PATRIOT, not because I'm a racist. The media always confuses having pride in the WHITE RACE with being a "racist". I have nothing against blacks and spanish people and asians – I just want them to stay in their own areas and let me celebrate my whiteness and white, European heritage in peace. Blacks have all sorts of organizations that are just for them – like the CBC, the NAACP and the NBA – and Mexicans have La Raza – how "racist" is that? But just because I want to belong to an all-white organization that celebrates the achievements of my white heritage, the liberals and the jew media starts calling me a racist. How unfair is that? Liberals are total hypocrites!
Everytime one of you angry wingnuts calls a guy like Lewis a "bigot" – you only reveal yourself as a crazy racist to the rest of us.
I'm not a "liberal" or a "progressive" or even a democrat – I'm a libertarian-minded independent, but when you tea party wackos start calling a guy like John Lewis names, that's where I get off the bus.
You guys really are pretty despicable – and a bunch of closet racists to boot.
You so funny! Must be hell to be you.
There is one other missing piece of evidence. Can you imagine someone yelling "fire" in a crowd and no one reacts? After reviewing the video tapes and other photographic evidence from the relevant time period, no heads turned, no sudden changes in body language to suggest anything unusual had happened, not even by those members of Congress who reported that Tea Partiers shouted the "N" word at them not once, but 15 times.
Leaders they're not. Extortionists, Opportunists, Hypocrites…Yes!
Their modus operandi is not far removed for the CBS producer who was just convicted in the David Letterman extortion case = big bucks for silence(ie, if Dave didn't want his employers/the world to know what lowdown weasel he is &
prosecutable for serial sexual harassment of subordinates, he could make it go away for X dollars. Dave loves his money more than anything – wouldn't marry his long time live-in & the mother of his child till recently)
Al & Jesse roll into a corporate offices with talk of lack of "diversity", potential boycotts, bad publicity, or any other specious accusations. As in Dave's case, the modus operandi = big bucks for silence (Sometimes demanding "affirmative action" jobs & other swag leave people beholden to them).
But Al & Jesse drive around in stretch limos, personal luxury cars, only stay in 4 & 5 Star hotels, fly 1st class or private jet – but do not have to account for their filthy lucre! SHOW ME THE MONEY/or anything substantive and enduring that benefits ANYONE other than themselves, their families, or their friends/cronies!
It's easier/cheaper for companies to pay them off. This is what ol' Al & Jesse always count on and to date has worked. Its the same expectation of most extortionists – or they wouldn't risk a sure-fire trip to the pokey! (no such luck for Dave's guy!)
Without their "Race Cards" Al & Jesse might already be serving time. With their "Race Cards" wearing very thin, maybe anyone with an above room temperature IQ will finally see them for what the are – irrelevant con artists scamming the system that is VERY broken…
When you hear the term… NATURAL BORN CITIZEN. Think about this…
The Constitution requires that the President shall be a natural-born citizen of the United States, or a citizen at the time of the adoption of the Constitution. This is an important restriction, when we consider the sacredness of the trust committed to the charge of the Executive. It will be useless for ambitious foreigners to intrigue for the office, as this qualification of birth cuts off all those inducements from abroad, to corruption, negotiation, and war, which have frequently and fatally harassed the elective monarchies of other countries. But, through the bloody struggle of the American Revolution, our fathers were greatly assisted by the aid of many citizens who were natives of other countries. They had espoused our cause, fought and bled in our interests, had become naturalized citizens, and had proved their attachments to our institutions beyond all doubt. It would have been ungenerous and ungrateful to have excluded this class of citizens from all possibility of attaining to any office, however exalted, under a government which they had sacrificed so much to establish. Hence this saving clause of the Constitution, that, if a person was a citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption of that instrument, he became eligible to the Presidency. But, by the lapse of time, this clause has become practically obsolete.

Like "a rose by any other name…" a bigot who discriminates is a bigot regardless of color. No one should get a free pass. To paraphrase Justice Roberts "discrimination is is eliminated by NOT discriminating". Reverse discrimination, like two wrongs don't make a right, is what it is, discrimination.
What Lewis and the Congressional Black Caucus provided a primo example of bigotry…baseless accusations used to demean/silence a group of people using race as a club.
Racism & bigotry are despicable no matter who is guilty. Otherwise there are no legitimate rules & it all becomes meaningless.
Well your comments sounds pretty racist and anti-jew to me, I'd be careful, because this site is owned and operated by a very intelligent conservative jewish man (Lee Doren) and I don't think he'd appreciate your anti semitic attitude, take it someplace else buddy.
You are missing the whole point, it does not matter if Obama was born in Hawaii or anyplace else, he is a US citizen because his mother is a US citizen. John McCain was not born in the USA, he was born in Panama, but because his parents are US citizens so is he, and nobody has any problem with that, so the fact that its such a "coverup" is just stupid and always has been, and there is NO credible evidence that he is not a US citizen born in Hawaii. You guys have got to let this go, you are seriously hurting the conservative viewpoint with this UFO crap. Your making everyone look like a fool, give it up and do something productive.
Perhaps I should have chosen my words more carefully. Since you credit me with honesty about my naivete, let me clarify my perceptions of Cronkite. I am 50 years old, and so having watched him on the news as a child and into my early teens I (like many growing up) thought that if they said it on t.v. then it MUST be true. Now with that truth behind me, let me explain. My view of Cronkite in addition to my memories came from all that was said about him being the most trusted man in America, and all the blather about him since he retired. So I took him to be what most stories I was exposed to about him suggested, that he was what a journalist SHOULD be. So when I heard some years later that he actually admitted that he was a liberal, I had to go back and re-examine everything I had thought about him with an eye for where his reporting may have been biased. Why the long explanation?
Though it would not matter to anyone but myself I suppose, I have no problem being thought of as naive. However, I would not want to think of myself as having misled anyone about what I actually know, and what are just my thoughts. I certainly wish I would have put my point in a clearer context.
Thank you
You are correct, Libertarian does now seem to fit better. Apparently the name doesn't spontaneously bring the word "kooks" to the lips of most folks like it used to a few years back. So I'll have to get used to referring to myself that way. And thanks for informative post, gives me lots to scrutinize about the people and corporations you mentioned.
I never heard that one over the years, but it certainly sounds interesting enough for me to search around the web about. Thanks
"4 million people have died and some people are calling you a warlord… is that an accurate description?"
4 million people are dead, and you need to ask this question? And you're asking the WARLORD? Wow. Just… wow.
Actually, "9/11 was an inside job" tends to be the leftist line, not the right.
As for me, I wish the right would drop the whole birther thing. Even if it's true (which it isn't), and even if we could prove it (which we can't), I doubt it would actually make the pres step down and all promoting does is make us look like wingnuts.
So you are one of those Obama lovers that allow the words of stranger induce a deep pathetic psychological disturbance in you that rips you apart inside! There is evidence if you would for a minute un-program your programed brain long enough only to take a look see on the historical record that shows Obama is an ILLEGAL president!
"Do you kiss Obama before you go to bed at night?"
Not at all. What are you, 12 years old?
I despise his presidency as much as you do. I'm just saying that the birther issue is a dead end. It isn't going to result in anything because his official birth certificate will never be released, and he isn't going to be impeached in this lifetime. That's the reality. Deal with it. Or not. It's your life to waste on this crap. You can keep insulting those of us who want to pursue real avenues that will result in getting these guys out while you tilt at windmills, or you can join us.
Don't you have a tinfoil hat to make?
If most blacks really stopped and thought about it – ie, outside the box – the Klan couldn't do a better job of it!! (Fortunately the Klan is made up of the most ignorant dregs of society & therefore incapable of any sophisticated long term strategy!)
Blacks have been manipulated & pitted against each by all of the above groups you enumerated. 10 or 15 years ago something similar was proven out by a public service campaign (pro bono by an ad agency) to address black on black violence. The attention getter/message was the number blacks killed by other blacks in that year was greater than the grand total of blacks ever killed by the KKK. This was at the beginning of the "PC" era, so the campaign was immediately scrapped.
Do you kiss Obama before you go to bed at night?
What does this have to do with the topic at hand? This "Obama is not a real American "crap is just got to stop. There is NO evidence to prove that he was NOT born in Hawaii and reguardless of that fact, he is the son of an American citizen, so it does not matter if he was born here or not, he is a citizen by way of his mother, John McCain was not born in the United States, he was born in Panama, but he is still a US citizen because his parents are, why is that so hard for you people to understand. You sound like UFO chasers and it's getting really old, and its very transparent. Your hurting the conservative side of the aurgument with this crap, give it a rest.
Dave J.
There is a door at the front and a door at the back, take your pick, we will do just fine without you on the bus.
Make the news or just boring reporting it that is the question. Not to be answered just act on that sentence so we can tell if your the real deal. Journalists sometimes make the mistake that their readers are ignorant to believe if they piss on our legs and say "it's just raining," somehow were going to just give them the benefit of the doubt. Not at all, and the lesson is some ratings are dropping and some papers are not being read. You want me on your agenda don't lie, prove it. Maybe I'll chew and swallow your words. Lie and people spit you out, fiction is for Hollywood not the reporting but not unlike the insinuating of the news.
Everytime one of you angry wingnuts calls a guy like Lewis a "bigot" – you only reveal yourself as a crazy racist to the rest of us.
You and your tapeworm?
How exactly is calling Lewis on his lies and pointing out his actions towards people he disagrees with is bigoted a "racist" act?
No, you're missing the point. Read Article II of the Constitution. Must be a "natural born citizen". Born here.
The problems I have is a.) there has been no concrete evidence to refute it, either, b.) why waste $2 million into legally blocking your past if there's nothing to hide and c.) your comment that just asking for the very basics from this guy is "hurting the conservative viewpoint". Or the Alinsky-esque "UFO crap" comment ("use ridicule"). That's the MSM's "nothing to see here" mentality. That's how McCain wound up being the nominee, because the MSM made it a possibility for the idiots who'd rather watch American Idol than read American history. I'll be the first person to say let it go if he stops being so evasive.
I'm not a dyed-in-the-wool "birther". I'm just sick of this guy sliding through life without any qualifications (i.e. not actually a professor, no longer a lawyer, associates not vetted, etc.).
Again, I'm not a birther. I'm a Constitutionalist. And as so, it wouldn't be up to him to step down. He'd have to leave. But regardless of his birth status, his ridiculous agenda will get him thrown out of office anyway.

I was editor of my high school newspaper, thorschariot. We fact-checked better than the Marxist Stream Media. We also used the 3 credible source rule. And "credible," didn't mean like-minded organizations…
