From the Associated Press/FOX News on Tuesday afternoon:
A Rand Paul supporter is apologizing after he was seen on video stepping on a liberal activist’s head.
Tim Profitt, a volunteer with the Republican’s U.S. Senate campaign, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that the camera angle made the scuffle Monday night appear worse that it was. He criticized police for not stepping in and says other supporters warned authorities about the activist.
Lauren Valle, a 23-year-old with the group MoveOn.org, was wrestled to the ground by Paul supporters when she tried to confront the tea party favorite with a fake award. Valle said Tuesday she was sore and swollen.
The Paul campaign cut ties with Profitt, removing him from his role as Bourbon County campaign coordinator and banning him from campaign events.
Let me start this post by saying, I denounce unnecessary physical aggression. Violence of any sort against a woman is especially repugnant. I commend the Paul campaign for taking the appropriate course of action in this case.
Not surprisingly though, some on the left are already holding Valle up as a martyr. Just graduated from Columbia University with a bachelor’s degree in Religion. Recently finished a solar installation project. Environmental activist. She was just there to exercise her right to freedom of speech …
The truth is, this is not Lauren Valle’s first brush with controversy as a professional protester. Nor is it her first brush with the law.
Ms. Valle of course did not deserve the physical attack that was inflicted upon her, that’s not even up for debate here. But is it possible that perhaps the picture the left is presenting is a bit, say, out of proportion? Let’s put this incident into perspective.
By her own admission, Valle was there at the Kentucky event as a paid employee of the liberal organization, MoveOn.org, with a specific mission she was expected to achieve. As CNN reported,
“Her purpose was to try to get a picture with Rand Paul with this [RepubliCorp] sign so it could be used to embarrass Rand Paul in commercials,” [Lexington police Lt. Edward] Hart said, recounting what Valle told officers. She described herself as a contract employee with MoveOn.org.
…Valle told WDRB that she was there to present Paul with an award from RepubliCorp. The MoveOn.org-created group focuses on what it calls the merger between corporate America and the Republican Party. Its slogan: “Buying Democracy, One Race at a Time.”
Disguised in a blonde wig and donning a sticker on her sweatshirt that read “I’m a Rand Fan”, Valle is said to have initially blended into the crowd in an attempt to get close to Rand Paul. Apparently, when she lunged toward the direction of Paul, supporters surrounded and attempted to block her from getting near him. As CNN affiliate WDRB-TV in Louisville, KY captured, bystanders held Valle down on the ground and shouted, “Get the cops. Get the police out here.”
In the flurry of the chaos in an attempt to hold her at bay, as WDRB describes, Tim Profitt “stomps on her shoulder with his foot, which then lands on the side of her head ” It was an unfortunate – and inappropriate -response. Everyone’s condemned it. And as of this afternoon, police say that Profitt is being served with a criminal summons ordering him to appear before a Fayette County District Court Judge.
At the same time, I don’t think it’s unreasonable for one to examine and question the motives of a paid activist from MoveOn.org who disguised and then planted herself in the middle of an already large and passionate crowd, and then tried to get up right next to Rand Paul.
As I’ve noted, this is not Ms. Valle’s first brush with the law.
Lauren Valle has already faced felony charges after being arrested in May along with six others in Louisiana for her antics in a Greenpeace activism stunt. The group of activists had already been repeatedly warned by law enforcement to stay away from the area, after being spotted in the area the week leading up to the incident. The incident was serious enough that it drew the attention of the New Orleans Joint Terrorism Taskforce, which also reviewed the case. (I might add, this is also very similar to the work of The Ruckus Society, another organization funded by George Soros).
Such shenanigans are something we often like to refer to as “media bait.”
In a similar stunt, Valle and four other protesters were arrested and detained in China in August of 2008 after illegally hoisting a banner just outside the National Stadium (the “Bird’s Nest”) in Beijing’s Olympic Park. Progressives praised the action as part of a carefully coordinated effort amongst multiple activists organizing from multiple locations.
In April of 2008, Valle was also arrested after chaining herself to Citibank’s headquarters building in New York as part of a protest related the RainForest Action Network’s “dirtymoney.org” campaign. Dressed in costume as a “Billionaire for Dirty Energy”, Valle demanded with others that Citibank shift away from its large-scale investments in coal-fired power plants.
Valle told WDRB at Monday’s incident,
“We’re here to present Rand Paul with the ‘Employee of the Month’ award. However, his supporters were not very nice to me and my message, which is the same as everyone else — just wanted to get out here with a sign,” Valle of East Falmouth, Massachusetts, told WDRB. “I got my head stepped on, so I have a bit of a headache.”
Given her past record of showing up at protests and getting arrested, one could easily speculate that Ms. Valle had no intention of leaving Monday’s event without the occurrence of a public spectacle of some sort.
I could go on with more examples, but I think you get the picture. Because it certainly wouldn’t be right to speculate or blow that out of proportion, now would it?

This "woman", Lauren Valle, is an activist.
An extremist zealot. A student follower of the Church of George Soros. With her established track record, she should be branded an eco-terrorist, and charged as such.
Well, in the fifteen minutes of fame cycle, she is at fourteen minutes fifty-five seconds and counting.
Fifty-six, fifty-seven, fifty-eight…………..
Call me crazy, but it sounds like to me as if Ms Valle has been tempting fate for a long time
If she did this in front of President Obama (or any president for that matter), she would have been tackled and arrested by the US Secret Service. She'd still be waiting to get arraigned.
She got what she wanted, PUBLICITY! And to tarnish a republican.
Of course, the left commits the same sort of assault as Tim Profitt on a daily basis. I speak from personal experience having been on both sides of leftist brownshirt thuggery. And no one on the right is going to hold any fundraisers for him like the NAACP did for the goons who beat up Ken Gladney.
Still, I can't help that some of the moral high ground has been lost. Yes, this Lauren Valle was obviously an agent of evil and doesn't deserve anyone's sympathy but this man's actions tarnish what has been an uphill battle for the Tea Party's image. Maybe I'm making too big a deal out of this but this video made me wonder if we're staring to become what we hate. And no, I'm not making a moral equivalence here (like the way those who "support the troops" on the left put them on equal footing as those they fight) so don't vote me down for that.
Also, everything I have said is based on first impressions of the story and seeing the footage. Aditional developments may change my perception of this. And yes, I do recognize we are at war with the hive for future of the country.
With all due respect to the author,
"Let me start this post by saying, I denounce unnecessary physical aggression. Violence of any sort against a woman is especially repugnant. I commend the Paul campaign for taking the appropriate course of action in this case."
I agree wholeheartedly with that statement.
But whether it be this author, Dana Loesch, or a host of other authors and contributors condemning this "attack" in an effort to spin it favorably, I disagree with that.
I have always been a constant here, a rational, and sometimes an extreme balance. But I am consistent, and logical.
I challenge EVERYONE to a hypothetical "what-if".
What if this crazy Lauren Valle had turned out to be a Squeaky Fromme (read your history), or a John Hinkley? What if this woman wanting to get close enough to Rand Paul was the type person who shot George Wallace, or Larry Flynt? Then the news of the day would be a different story.
Then the news would be how Rand Pauls people failed to protect him.
Public people, those running for office, have a right to feel secure when appearing, anywhere.
One more time, I'll take the devils advocate counter position.
At the end of the day, when all things balance out, that woman should have been removed on a gurney.
I'm not going to stop calling a spade a spade, in an effort at some PC spin.
"A pin (or fall) is when you put your opponent on his/her back with any part of both shoulders or both shoulder blades of your opponent in contact with the mat for two seconds. When you pin your opponent, the match is over and you are the winner."
Her time was up during the take down. Match over.
I just hope the left gets the point about disguising themselves and trying these half baked stunts. This was clearly a a potential terrorist or assassin no matter how you spin it. They should expect resistance when they pull this kind of garbage.
"She lunged toward …"
So did Sirhan Sirhan, "Squeaky" Fromme and John Hinckley, Jr.
In the split second heat of a moment like that, what is "the appropriate response"?
The "award" could have been a gun, knife or bomb.
"I have a bit of a headache.” Well Booo Hooo!
I have an award for Ms. Valle: "Dimwit of the Month"
The left continues to have a virtual monopoly on ugly chicks.
Cowboy
Exactly my lips were trembling as I thought of Sirhan Sirhan plunging through the crowd at the hotel and of Jack Ruby rushing Lee Oswald. Her attack reminded me of those terrible incidents. Who knew if she had a gun or not and in disguise as well. The gentleman however should not have placed his foot on her shoulder it should have been in her arse.
So does George Soros provide healthcare for these fools or are we footing that bill?
A veritable bevy of bucolic biatches.
Ugh!
To the defense of Ms. Valle, the Left now whips out the "Activist Card"!
Activist Card: <Similar to the "Get Out of Jail Free Card"> The card allows anyone with an IQ equal to, but not to exceed, their shoe size to do anything they want without accountability or negative repercussions. In most cases anyone attempting to interfe with a card holders activities is subject to felony charges.
Sorry Mr. Profitt, you must now go directly to prison (no trial necessary here) … It's only FAIR.
The MSM will spin it as negatively as they can, but as far as a loss of "moral high ground," some perspective is needed. What Valle and her comrades did is SOP for the left. The Bigs have published accounts of such acts, both national and international, of leftist using false flag methods. In contrast, this physical over-reaction was anything but systematic. The usual way Tea Partiers and other liberty folk (such as the sadly defunct Protest Warrior project) is ridicule and exposure of the leftists' fraud.
Tim Profitt should face a fair trial, if his actions are found to rise to the level of battery (or whatever is the legal standard in the relevant jurisdiction). But just as abortion mill bombers are not representative of pro-lifers, like myself, these actions do not reflect on the rest of us. It should be by our reaction to such incidences, that we should be judged. Making excuses for such behavior, and the other extreme of condemnatory overreaction do nothing but give ammo to the enemy.
How Far Can One Go With Activist Theatrics and NOT ANTICIPATE CONCERNED REACTION??

THIS COULD JUST AS EASILY HAVE BEEN THE OUTCOME………OR WORSE~!!!!
"On the morning of September 5, 1975, Fromme went to Sacramento's Capitol Park (reportedly to plead with President Gerald Ford about the plight of the California redwoods) dressed in a nun-like red robe and armed with a M1911A1.45 Colt semi-automatic pistol that she pointed at Ford. The pistol's magazine was loaded with four rounds, but none were in the firing chamber. She was immediately restrained by Larry Buendorf, a Secret Service agent."
YOU CANNOT ACT PROVOCATIVELY AND NOT ALARM THOSE NOT IN THE KNOW.
Must I go on listing the MULTITUDE of similar incidents in the past? Is it only AFTER a gun is fired that alarmed or concerned bystanders should get involved?
Being in the business, I know of what you speak. My head's on a swivel most of the day…
Professional Astroturfer. She achieved exactly what she wanted. She’s lucky however, that wasn’t a gaggle of union parasites, she’d be bloodied or worse.
Your last sentence say's it all.
How Far Can One Go With Activist Theatrics and NOT ANTICIPATE CONCERNED REACTION FROM THOSE NOT IN THE "KNOW"?? During this kind of provocation is it absolutely necessary for a weapon to be BRANDISHED before ALARMED bystanders take action?……..I submit to all that it is NOT.
She got what she wanted but ended up getting a bit more than she bargained for. I hope her head rings for quite a while over the sheer level of stupidity involved in planning out that stunt.
Lunging towards anyone–whether they favor the Left or the Right–is not the smartest thing to do. That's seen by a normal person to be an attack. Rand Paul's supporters saw a potential threat to Mr. Paul, so they reacted to stop Valle. Did they go a little overboard? Considering how things turned out, yes, but how were they to know that Valle wasn't carrying a knife when she went for Mr. Paul? Given that they had no previous knowledge of what was going through Valle's mind, they acted rationally (and bravely since, hey, she could've been carrying a weapon and they threw themselves at her to protect Mr. Paul).
I imagine that the sentences they'll receive if they're given a fair-minded judge will be pretty light which will serve to infuriate those who want to use the incident to prove that Tea Partiers are violent.
These are the things civil war is made of,voter fraud, controlled media attacks on innocent people, passing laws 80% of the population absolutely will not stand for,I guess it is true,FREEDOM IS NOT FREE! Our fore Fathers paid for our freedom with their blood. What will our freedom cost us today? or rather what are we willing to pay for our FREEDOM?
Wow… you are saying you are logical and rational and than start talking about a "What if' game that justifies this attack? Are you being serious? By your "logic" you are saying that if I move towards any political candidate to express my disagreement than anyone can throw me down and attack me. Seriously, you are a nut.
As someone who actually lives in Kentucky and has been giving money to both Ron and Rand for over two years I can say that this guy should be arrested and should not be given a pass. This fear mongering that Cowboy Logic is playing with is what has lead to the Patriot act and our civil liberties slowly being taken away.
You are a tough guy Jack. I hope I never meet such a manly man like you. I shoudl let you know that I am not a 120 pound girl though, so you may have second thoughts. Yet please keep playing the internet tough guy role.
I say this bitch should be tarred and feathered — that would make great entertainment.
I think when someone shows up at a rally in disguise that free speech no longer applies to what they are doing. She should be proscecuted for public disturbance of some type as that was her intent and she had no fear of being arrested. And the head stomper should also get a warning.
Did anyone talk to the cop that was standing there, but seemed to do nothing..maybe that was Sgt Ed Schultz. also in disguise
In this current political climate, NOTHING should be left to chance. Political candidates are closer to their constituents than ever and the fact remains, there is always a possibility that any candidate, controversial or not is "open" to any possibilities.
There is enough thuggery, deception and political spin these days that has inflamed Americans to a point that they've become extremely passionate about their ideologies. And NO ONE can guarantee the safety of others in this climate. She was in disguise, she approached in a aggressive manner and those nearby acted in instinct/impulse. Profitt was disciplined based on what was evidenced in the video. To some, that may not be enough. But compared to similar actions by union thugs and far left loons, it was more than these clowns have ever done. As a matter of fact, it's virtually condoned by the unions, and our current wannabe president.
You don't know Cowboy like we do. And he's on point. And yes, if "YOU" move towards a candidate in what can be perceived as an aggressive move, you SHOULD be taken down. Your definition of "attack" may differ from a lawful definition of "submission". The difference is how YOU perceive it as such. Get real………..
Of course, blame the victim! Do you mention how short a womans skirt is too when she's raped? Disgusting.
Funny.
A new person.
All freshly prompted and ready to joust.
YOU, are the nut, if you think you are going to show up here and be taken seriously by anyone.
You do make one rational point however, and that pertains to the Patriot Act. It is as much of a joke, as you appear to be.
The crazy woman in question? The Left, the Lunatic Fringe has played that game for years. They count on, and bank on the fact that they can always get away with it, because our civil sensibilities on the right have precluded US from over reacting. No more.
There is a fine line in public life, where people feel safe, or feel threatened. Cross the line, and you are a adversary; a threat, an opponent.
You have always counted on the fact that the louder you yell, the crazier your antics, you would get a free pass, because we don't like to make a scene. No more.
Youse people had better get that through your thick skulls and savvy it.
this is typical of the left. they brainwash dimwits like her, to go out and try to incite reactions, and possible violence. then when its over, they try to rationalize the use of these dimwits. sorta like radical muslims. they tell everybody to strap on explosive, and die for the cause. i would not be very good at being a democrat operative, or muslim extremeist, i would always play dumb, and ask for them to show me how it is done.
Like all those supermodels?
FYI-they are better in the sack too. No catholic inhibitions there my friend.
Before you begin an activism career you should know just where you stand and what right you have to act without consequences should you be ignorant of the rights and responsibilities you have to the public. Free speech comes with a great responsibility. http://press-pubs.uchicago.edu/founders/documents...
Typical idiot and a sign of the weak mentality that is prevalent in America's society. She's the aggressor in this situation and because she exposes her purpose after the fact, she's the victim. BULLSHIT!!!!
There were no "victims" in this situation…..There were 2 aggressors: Valle & Profitt.
The "potential victim" at that particular moment could've been Ron Paul. And the swift action of those nearby prevented it from becoming so. YOU are the disgusting one. But then again, you already knew that…….
It's such a fine line, usually only walked successfully by trained police or security people… and actions are usually second guessed when a perceived violence response to obvious provocation is involved…
Once the threat is contained/immobilized, any action taken beyond that will always be seen as excessive and, therefore brutal… whether it's the boot of a large man on the shoulder of a small women, already being held on the ground by many hands or a very large man (Rodney King), on the ground and temporarily incapacitated, being viciously beaten and kicked by several cops. As often happens, when adrenalin is pumping, logic and restraint goes out the window…
This agent provocateur would literally not 'have a leg to stand on' had she been crushed under a pile of people trying to protect some else… It would be seen as just rewards… but the image of a giant boot on a small, submissive shoulder changed all of that and give 'the poor little weasel' exactly what she was paid to do!
Maybe it's the only place the can get any attention! Most of the men are equally unattractive. "Ugly" is too kind a word to use for most jihadists!
You are right.
Political theater.
She provided her moneys worth to her paymaster.
Unfortunate spawn of the species! They, themselves, are an excuse for birth control/culling the herd… but then their very 'countenance' hopefully severs well enough!
im glad she get her head stomped on the left as already shown they believe in violence and you reap what you sow.
Wonder how much this radical, mean-spirited leftist makes? Hmm, bet she gets a pay raise for this stunt.
Totally agree. At this point, apologizing for the foot on the shoulder is a mistake. She's no martyr! Too bad China didn't put her in jail and lose the key.
Scott Cardiff is sooooooooooooooo stoned, man!
That is correct. This could have been an assassination attempt, and the people were responding to protect the candidate.
So why are we blaming the protectors? She's the infiltrator liar here. She should be charged with criminal menacing, and the people tackling her should be absolved for the citizen's arrest… except maybe the guy stepping on the shoulder.
But if I truly thought someone was trying to kill a politician in front of me… I'd stomp if I felt it was needed.
This is what happens when miscreant children aren't chastised or "spanked."
it's easy to protest when your life is not on the line. Why don't some of these people get a real movement going. How bout a visit down in the hood to protest gang violence and selling drugs to kids? Get some real guts.
If the table's were turned, here's a robert gibbs spin. "It's an unfortunate situation, but the woman tripped into the path the gentleman was walking."
You Are Correct Sir! LOL..
"Excuse me, Mr Bin-laden (or insert any other Soldier Of Satan's name of your choice ),could you please show me how it is done?!!!!"
If only…. The world wouldbe a much better place!
Rand Paul was the only victim of this incident.
If a burglar breaks into your house and you catch them and you beat the hell out of them, the burglar is not a victim…
Where is the media? Why are they not hounding George Soros for the actions of one of his employees?
Zing! You Are Correct Sir! Love it!
Mr Fibbs puts new meaning to the word 'spin'… FUBAR (F*d Up Beyond All Recognition) is more his fare…
He makes his 'good twin', the Pillsbury Dough Boy look sage by comparison!… ;o)
"one could easily speculate that Ms. Valle had no intention of leaving Monday’s event without the occurrence of a public spectacle of some sort."
Look carefully at the end of the video. She's mastered the 'dead mullet' thing (lots of practice), wall-eye'ing to make sure the cameras are rolling. And note that she's a 'contractor' for MoveOn. That gives them deniability in case things didn't go their way.
Since she charged the candidate with unknown intentions, it could have been much worse for her.
TrooBloo do you come up with this stuff all by yourself? Maybe you should go back to your current high school teacher for better material.
Says the guys playing the internet tough guy.
psst… your projector is showing!
I'm sorry, but I really wonder if we'd even be having this discussion had it been a man who tried this stunt. Most likely, he would be rightly viewed as a nut who lunged at a political candidate, something which tends to be frowned upon in this country as a result of several tragic events in our national history.
"Victim" my ass. She's a paid Lefty agitator, and frankly I'm disappointed they didn't beat the c@nt to death.
She's lucky she wasn't plugged. I can almost guarantee there were Rand Paul supporters who were armed. She might not be around today if they'd been standing closer to her.
If you want to be treated "like a lady", then stick to "lady like endeavors".
Political activism is gender neutral. Anything a male should expect, a female should also expect.
If she'd lived.
If you think it takes size or gender to be dangerous, stay out of the bad parts of Manila.
I must admit, it's amusing to read your post.
Simply amusing.
Indeed.
I watched the raw video, and I have to say, his actions seem a little over the top. But, he was trying to push her over not hurt her, and when told to stop, he did.
The facts of the matter on the coverage are self evident. You are not allowed to protect yourself from us. Be it over reaction at a tense political rally, or in your own home. And that is what is at stake.
If it had been at an SEIU rally she would have gotten fingers gnawed off. lol
I see your point, and your logic is sound. Still, I'm extremely reticent in regards to manhandling women. I know, it's not terribly p.c. of me, but old habits die hard. I would have to see a weapon to overcome that hesitation. Again, I can see your logic, and I fully realize that when I see the hypothetical weapon it may be too late.
I just can't help but feel that if I allow myself to become that suspicious of people in general I've lost something, and those obnoxious moveon twits have scored a real victory.
That said, the crowd that pinned her were yelling for the cops. They were trying to do the right thing, and she got hurt. No one is going to jail, and both radical extremes know it, deep down.
But, please, don't call all of us union members parasites. There are good unions, and we do need them. There are obvious examples of poor ones. However, there are examples of poor everything.
If we ever got the working man's unions, to join with the working man's tea party, and away from those lip service democrats, the shift would change the world.
TrooBlow, you're just sad.
How upset did you get about the Republican aide and her boyfriend being stalked, attacked and beaten by leftists? Yeah, didn't think you cared too much about that one. They were walking to their freakin' car, not lunging toward a candidate like a psycho.
(ahem)
Not well acquanted with catholic women, eh?
If Mr. Proffitt is indicted on any trumped up charges, I think there should be a fund to which we can donate. And, I'd be very interested in the make-up of that police force if they pushed this one. The tape makes it obvious that she's the aggressor.
And BTW — unnecessary violence against women is no more repugnant than unnecessary violence against men.
Interesting definition of victim. If I choose to rob you, and you defend yourself, have you made a victim of me? That's the same logic as those lawsuits from home invaders that have been injured committing their crimes. They were the aggressor, she was the aggressor. Proffitt is a victim of poor judgment and circumstance. In short a victim of himself and Valle. The Paul campaign is now a victim of Valle, Proffitt and a biased media. All these consequences flow from the actions of one person. Who committed an aggressive act against others.
Here is how you identify the aggressor, if they are removed, all other events cease. If we remove Proffitt, Valle still rushed a political candidate, and was restrained. If you remove Valle, all events cease to flow. Ergo, she represents the aggressor not a victim.
Why don't PeTA members throw paint on biker gang members? (heheheheh. I'd pay for that video.)
Violence against women used to be repugnant because they were sex objects with special status, or they were loot. Equality is painful.
She's the victim my kester. This Moonbat has a history of behavior like this.. Personally I thought they were too easy on her. These Wingnuts have to learn they can't come to an event and act like a horses A$$ and not expect to pay the price.
I'm proud to say that years ago after I got out of the service in 66 after a couple of years I got involved with these protesters. Even spent a night in jail. Would do it again if I wasn't so old and crippled. I beat the hell out of a couple of you lib hippies and even took the sign away from one and was trying to insert it in the brain between the legs when the police stopped it. It's up took you young conservatives to get some hair on your butts and fight. I'm one of those that is now behind the scenes but still fighting the good fight. You either do it now or you'll have to do it later, and that might be when you can't physically do it and the nuts will be further entrenched and harder to kick out. If it's at U.S.C. or Berkley you'll find good escape routes if you look. Take the signs away first and break them. Make them assault you first. Always in their face but at a distance they can't claim as too close ,until they try to physically assault you. You turn the other cheek and they're going to hit you so hard you'll lose teeth. Quit that cheek turning and other limp wristed nonsense. Semper Fi….
The woman is nothing more than another Cind Sheehan clone whose loosely based ideology is based on ranck emotion, her attempt to get close to Rand was going to be used a a smear tactic and she didn't even have the guts to stand up and identify herself as to who she was and what she wanted….she is lucky she was treated as kindly as she was by those who stopped her.
They look like a leftover group from the days of the SDS in the sixties. If this is what our universities are turning out, no wonder our educational system is in trouble.
Yep, she sucks but what we can't do is give the MSM this kind of fodder. The MSM won't publish or present any union thug or democrat activist committing violence. They just aren't going to do it. However they will show this clip everyday for the next 3 weeks and will be titled "typical right wing violence". But we know this. So don't let your emotions get the best of you. Know that it will be on the evening news. Ya it sucks. But it is the hallmark of a free people and free society that we have non-violent gatherings. Allowing the leftwing to drive us to violence will allow them to stop gatherings with the police because of a threat of violence.
What we need from people is yank out the cameras and video recorders. We can get enough of their actions on youtube that we can show the left as the violent attainment of power type people they are. But know that the MSM will never show these videos, only the ones where the right is violent. So behave in public accordingly.
What is more disturbing to me than her foolish actions is the whole leftist machine out there that purposely targets young, naive, kids for indoctrination only to turn them loose to do their bidding. It's a cult-ish form of control and abuse. Manchurian Candidate anyone?
Decades ago leftists took over higher education and have created the insidious ability to drip-feed their influence on every aspect of the way kids perceive the world beyond their own direct experience. She isn't protesting anything because of real life experience and discovery. Embarrassing and frightening.
She is the poster child of the left. Look at her mug shot. Priceless.
Sumjedi,
Thank you, sincerely.
You helped put it into focus for me.
For the past two days I have been trying to put this in perspective, to come up with the one word that best described what I feel. You came up with it for me. "Reticent".
I too have prided myself in the fact that I have never raised a hand; or as in this particular case, a foot to a woman. When a man does that, he does loose something.
This sure is a scenario that gives mixed emotions.
I have no problem at all saying that the leftist chick is a plubicity seeking ass who was looking to create a incident. I also have no problem saying Mr. Profitt should be charged with assualt and be banned from being anywhere near a Rand Paul event in the future. No matter what she did, she was already down and no threat. He acted exactly the same as a leftist bully.
Wow, amazing. If I go to some leftist website like HuffPo or DU I can read the same sort of response from them about what the regard as right-wing behavior. Way to go. Sure hope you are not involved with any conservative candidates efforts to win.
She's damn lucky she didn't receive the "Darwin Award" instead. Tempers are running very high…possibly by design.
This does not bode well. But I have to say, had I been there, well…at least no one would be accusing a man of stomping a ecoweenie female. Too many lines are being crossed, too many boundaries are being pushed.
As I said before- this does not bode well.
Moby.
I think we need an Extreme Makeover Activists Arrested edition.
"Activists Arrested"
Hmmm, are any of these freaks our trolls?
Where do you find judges that are not Democrat ????
Cowboy, I am going to make an exception to my personal no profanity rule here:
DAMNED STRAIGHT!!!
Smartest thing posted here all day.
'Tis, d'Anconia.
Judge Vinson might not be one.
As a Texan, with 6 generations of Texans in the family, I was brought up in a culture that demanded respect for women, and showed that respect through courtesy.
I would like to point out one thing regarding this incident – and it is an IMPORTANT one thing!
Our enemies are ever vigilant. They follow our every move and action. They follow incidents like this with great interest. Terrorists, who have no respect for any human life, and even less than that for women, perceive the outrage to an event like this as a "weakness."
They note the public outcry and the response that has cut across political party lines. And they make their plans. Plans that may take advantage of our "weakness" by using women in their attacks against this country.
Small, large, male, female – no matter. The rules must be the same. The tiniest and weakest of women can kill with a gun as well as a toxin or a bomb – or a large man.
Rules are rules. IT IS LONG PAST TIME THAT RULEBREAKERS (AND LAWBREAKERS) WERE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS! It is called SWIFT AND JUST PUNISHMENT. AND IT IS A DETERRENT!
No excuses for this incident . . .
but if anybody is looking for a martyr . . . how 'bout Ken Gladney?
She OBVIOUSLY had it coming.
If any of you have had even a tiny bit of security training you would see that this moron sent out many "Watch out" signals. One of the most obvious is the ridiculous wig she was wearing. This screams disguise and not fashion which sets off the sirens in any security agent's brain. Second, she was aggressive in trying to get to Rand Paul. This also screams security alert. Third, after she was asked to stay back she pushed the people who were trying to keep her away from Paul. There only a few options for the defenders of Paul. One is physical restraint like a bear hug that ends on the ground followed by mechanical restraints or physical restraint like that which was used. Something similar just happened in Alaska by a TV reporter who wanted to get footage of Joe Miller answering a stupid question. He was roughed up and pushed away from Miller and finally detained by the police. Since he was a big guy he could not get a pitiful picture like this moron and the story went away. If you look at the video of the incident it is obvious that it is not a STOMP but a restraining effort. The guy that put his foot on idiot was trying to hold her down and his foot slipped probably because she was trying to get up.
Can anybody say…assault? But I guess it's just easier to blame her for what she's done in the past… shame on her, no good activist, tsk tsk. There aren't "tea partiers" who do equally goofy activism stunts in town hall meetings – of course not. There is less debate here than on Huffington Post, by the way. The worst thing that's going to happen is that you guys here will one day just realize you're a different side of the same coin as the Greenpeace hippie activist chick.
You wish mousie.
Just look at what I write it is in my profile.
Moby my ass.
What part of that do you find offensive?
The part that says Death to all socialists?
I should be more tolerant?
Who drinks the kool aid now, mousie? Who sounds like a touchy feely liberal?
You are a mousie, mousie. Now get back in the mini van your kids got soccer practice!
John Hinkley Jr., Squeaky Fromme, Sirhan Sirhan, Leon Czolgosz, Charles Guiteau, etc.
When a person in a crowd rushes toward a politician it is not only OK to take down the potential assailant but it is the crowds duty to do so. That little stomp at the end may have been unnecessary, but imagine the headlines if she had a gun in her hand (or maybe that should be if he were a Democrat and she had a gun in her hand)?
Squeaky Fromme only weighed 110 pounds. And that 1911 she was carrying could blow a hole in you big enough to stick your fist into.
Yep, she's your model liberal
She lunged toward the direction of Paul with a fake award. Rand Paul's supporters were acting as body guards. She could have been armed. Because the bystanders held Valle down on the ground and shouted, “Get the cops. Get the police out here.” shows they thought her as a threat to Paul. Not sure if Rand Paul has body guards, if not maybe he should consider hiring some just as a precaution.
She's in disguise, and she's rushing a candidate. She's restrained. What's wrong?
One guy was a jerk. One guy went to far and that's all we hear about.
Well put. Again I want to make perfectly clear that I'm not syaing something to the effect of "We're no better than they are" the way left-wing morons trash our military. But the right needs to be vigilant in keeping out the Tim Profitts of the world.
True but you're talking about small local unions. The big ones (Teamsters, SEIU, UAW, etc.) are nothing but goon squads for the mob.
"Violence of any sort against a woman is especially repugnant."
Can we please drop this meme at this point? Either violence against ANYONE is repugnant, or anyone is punchbag fodder. I say this as a woman. If you deliberately put yourself in a situation that would lead a rational person to defend themself or someone else – say, if you lunge at a popular political candidate looking like a crazed lunatic who might be carrying a knife – then I don't care if you're man, woman, transgender, or hermaphroditic. If you invite violence you shouldn't cry about it when someone accepts the invitation. I don't think stomping on someone's head is called for (if it's done deliberately, of which I'm not convinced in this case), but it has nothing to do with the gender of the participants.
This "victim" wasn't some poor woman being beaten by her hamfisted husband, or a young girl being assaulted by bullies. She's a lefty extremist with a criminal record. The media needs to quit treating her like a delicate flower of abused womanhood and call her what she is: a thug.
