I don’t know about you – but I’ve watched in awe as the Tea Party movement has taken America by a storm. People have questioned the authenticity of the Tea Party movement. People have called us all kinds of names. Nancy Pelosi called the Tea Party movement “Astroturf.” People have slandered us, tackled us, and yet the Tea Party movement has stood its ground, and is stronger than ever. I for one, feel the Tea Party is here to stay.
But not only is it important that people show up at the Tea Parties today, it’s important that they continue to show up down the road, because the problems we’re fighting aren’t going away just yet. But how can we guarantee that people will continue to show up? Is the Tea Party movement going to diminish over time? Here’s what I’m doing to ensure that people keep showing up at the Tea Parties, get informed and continue to hold politicians responsible…

Is the Tea Party only for adults? NO. An effort has been launched to get not only the adults who are falling into debt involved, but the people who are going to have to pay for this insurmountably massive debt in the future: the kids. Yep, the kids. We are the ones picking up the tab for the spending happening today. Don’t believe me? Take a look at this.
No joke. At the moment, every American citizen is in debt $250,000. THAT, my friend, is scary.
Maybe we should reconsider our priorities and time allotment. I think it is time for kids to set aside the Wii and give ten minutes per day to the future that we are building for ourselves, and our children and grand children. Do you really want to look back in ten or 20 years, and know that you took that extra nap, sent that extra text message, or played that extra video game, while you could have been instrumental in saving our Republic?
We can’t vote yet, but we can rally each other to be active in politics. YOU can write letters to the editor. YOU can hold a candidates forum in your community (the primary is the real place to change elections). YOU can join an effort, have fun, and arm yourself with information to reclaim our country. Adults listen to us more than you think.

Speaker Pelosi calls this massive debt imposed on us “investing in the future.” Ummmm, am I missing something? I was at the mall the other day, and I saw this awesome sweater in American Eagle. I really wanted to buy it, but was like… ten bucks short. I could have gone to another store, found my mom and given her that sweet, girly expression while saying, “Mom, I really love this sweater. Just ten more bucks, and it’s an investment in my future!” But, since I was out of money, I chose to wait until I could reorganize my budget, and then buy it when I could afford it. I now have all I need, and just need to go back to buy the thing. I remain without cute sweater-related debt.
Kids today need to wake up and learn the issues. Realize that you can play a larger role in America than just “going-green.” Talk to your parents about how the debt and economy are affecting them. Talk to your parents about how the debt and economy are affecting YOU. Because whether you feel it right now or not – it is affecting you. It is stealing your opportunities. This is scary, but the Tea Party Youth is here to help. Wanna be a part of it? Do you want to play a role in this history-making, culture-changing revolution? Check out www.teapartyyouth.org, Tea Party Youth on Facebook, and @teapartyyouth on Twitter. And get in the game!

This is an encouraging piece. It is great to learn that young people are embracing political incorrect activism. Good for you!
It's encouraging that the young have been raised up and are now taking a stand for what they believe in.
Enough of this deadly liberalism/progressiveness/political correctness that has weakened and endangered our nation.
Great piece, Lyda. Of course, there have been youth movements in the past, even here in the United States. The 1960s comes to mind. Of course, today's Tea Party youngsters will be different: they love their country and they bathe.
The young aren't interested in Tea Parties. They're still compassionate and idealistic at that age. They'll lose their compassion for others as they age. Only when they've completely erased all vestiges of their humanity can they be true right-wingers.
Of course, it'll mean they'll die alone and unloved, abandoned and despised by friends and relations. But that's a small price to pay in the fight for God and guns and against gays and minorities, right, wingnuts?
Young lady you restore my faith in human kind! Good job and keep spreading the word! I am emailing this to my kids so they know there are others out in this world with a good head on their shoulders! Bravo!!!
Wouldn't it be something to behold to have a groundswell movement rise up by the young independent thinking young of the USA specifically focused on demanding the release of all of the documents being withheld under his day one Executive "GAG" Order. It is the young that should understand what the effects of a liar and cheat. The Obama records which have not been released include basically everything factual about Obama: Passport records, Obama kindergarten records, Punahou School records, Occidental College records, Columbia University records, Columbia thesis, Harvard Law School records, Harvard Law Review articles, University of Chicago scholarly articles, Illinois State Bar Association records, Illinois State Senate records/schedules(said to be lost), Medical records, Obama/Dunham marriage license, Obama/Dunham divorce documents, Soetoro/Dunham marriage license, Adoption records and of course the long-form Certificate of Live Birth.
Get a grip, Soothie. Us "wingnuts" prefer compassion on the PERSONAL level, and not for a faceless monolithic state to confiscate the fruits of our labor and distribute it as it sees fit. You don't get brownie points in heaven for having someone else do your "compassion" for you.
Wow! look at Soothsayer go, instead of encouraging the young people to be active he/she'd rather shoot down something. Liberals are funny in that they can't see the folly of their ways. They are the ones that always must be AGAINST something. The liberal mind can't comprehend the bully mentality, and even if they could, they could never believe that the government would think of using their GUNS to control and ride roughshod over we the people. To borrow a few lines from a great song, "It can't happen here! It can't happen here! I'm telling you my dear that it can't happen here!" All I can leave you with, old Soothsayer, is this; throughout history, nations have been taken over by corrupt governments many times. Sometimes right in front of the people's noses, and with their help even. You may wish to live lie that, but I don't. As long as I can hold my arm straight, and see good enough to aim, I and my family never will, and I don't think I'm alone.
Perhaps we should all be like the college professor in Alabama who killed her colleauges because she did not get tenure. She was a left wing Obama fan from day one. How much compassion did she have for others? How much of her humanity remained when she murdered 2 people? I feel sorry that you have been so badly brainwashed.
Edit: line should read You may wish to live like that, but I don't
Is that why the "red" states are the biggest givers, per-capita, year after year, to charity, Soothsayer?
And what Margot said is spot-on.
Douche…
Yes, you have a warped view of compassion. If I go to church and give willingly to the collection plate, that is compassion. If there is a guy in the aisle with a machine gun making sure I pay, that is liberalism. The only thing that happens when you put the guy in the aisle with the gun is that people figure out a way to avoid the collection plate.
If you're not a liberal at 20, you have no heart. If you're not a conservative at 40, you have no brain. How old are you again, Smoothie? BTW Nice stereotypical rant on Tea Partiers. Real original. Did you make that all up yourself?
I will tell you one more thing, Smoothie. Come November, your beloved LibDem Lefties in Congress will die at the polls alone and unloved, despised by the voters who put them there. But that's a small price to pay for being ignorant progressives and hating everything American, right? Have a Nice Day. Not!
It seems most of those who go nuts and shoot people or fly planes into the IRS are left-wingers (despite the MSM trying to paint them otherwise). Yet, the Soothsayers of the left are clueless to their own dementia.
Speaking of being alone and unloved, you obviously don't know ANY person who doesn't think and act like you or you'd know that what you say has no basis in reason.
Your agoraphobia has caused you to create imaginary enemies to go along with your imaginary friends.
You need to get out more, meet real people,
It is said that a Fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject.
You are a fanatic, I'm guessing. This thread is not about the birth cirtificate, nor is it about any of Obama's missing and hidden records. Go and find a thread about those things, or an open thread, or start your own damn blog.
Don't get me wrong. I'm pretty much way beyond "birther". I think "birther? is that all you got?" I actually do believe that Obama's presidency was planned BEFORE HE WAS EVEN BORN, by the communists who raised him. His lack of documentary evidence is small potatoes, and is actually to be expected if you believe what I believe.
BUT I DON'T GO SPEWING THAT ON EVERY THREAD NO MATTER WHAT THE HELL THE TOPIC.
Why? Because I'm not a Fanatic, for one. I believe some things. I'll say so if prompted. But I won't spam every site in the known universe, topically related or not, with my views. It's quite rude. Fanatics also don't really put much stock in politeness, I've noticed. Because this is REALLY more important than feelings, isn't it? The future of the whole world depends on getting that birth certificate and those Occidental records. Why limit yourself to political blogs? Why not go to the Apple Fanclub and post the rants there as well? Or maybe Bethsoft's game site? GAMERS NEED TO KNOW THIS STUFF TOO!!
Sorry, long….you get the drift.
Oh so you wanna encourage kids to call Obama Hitler/Marxist and every other insult now…..?
Actually, the Civil Rights Movement led by MLK was mostly Christian youth who loved America and bathed.
Otherwise, I agree that the 1960s protesters overall were REALLY bad for this country.
great Winston Churchill quote…
You are one really pathetic creature. I can't even wrap my mind around your nonsensical drivel.
… Bag!
Lyda, THANK YOU! I got a little teary eyed reading your post (what a sap, I know). How refreshing to see a youth that embraces personal responsibility and further, that can recognize a government that is NOT being responsible. Keep up the great work!
The liberal mindset does understand bullying–that's exactly what calling everyone who is not them "racist" is all about–speech suppression through bullying. The healthcare so-called debate is a monumental exercise in bullying and when they get their way, like the spoiled self-absorbed Cretins they are, you'll see some serious bullying when they've decided you've outlived your usefulness. Bullying is what the Left is all about.
Yup! Sure do.
Thumbs up to that, Fred2!

You teach kids your way, we'll teach kids ours.
I love how so much of the left approaches these boards, with total disdain, ready to smear, while eschewing any attempt at substance. Its a familiar condescension, having frequented so many boards in my years. If any young people out there are taking notes, its the same attitude adults too often will take with young people, when they don't want to listen to you. Its also the same attitude too many of us adults are picking up in our federal government nowadays, from the White House on down. I don't believe you can be that far out of touch, that hardened unless there's something broken in your spirit. I'm not saying everyone on the left is this way, but an awful lot of younger adults who are comfortably in their camp do share in this bitterness, and this corrosive cynicism, a psychology more akin to much older adults who may have lived unfulfilled lives.
My point is don't give up your idealism, particularly where others may try to limit it by defining you, if only so they can saddle you with their prejudices. You really can make a difference. Go ahead, ask the big questions, but don't ignore history, either. And be prepared to fight for your freedom. We're living in a time where its no longer option, not to fight. In the end, its all you got.
As to Soothsayer, people generally become more empathetic, and yes, compassionate with age. What children lose is their innocence, and too often with that, their idealism, but it doesn't have to be. Adults have been known to regain their idealism and the passion it arose from, which is what we may be seeing with some in the Tea Party movement.
When we take money and give it to the government a whole lot of that money goes to keeping the people in power. They tell us how we are the compassionate ones and take our money. They we look at the bottom line, and if we are lucky 24% will actually get to those that need it, like welfare. But you have taken a whole lot of money, money that is not available to do other things. The more the government takes the less is given to charity, the less is available for jobs, and the less incentive we have to work hard. So there is really a lot more to the story than having compassion. It sounds really good, but the end result is destruction of a system that creats wealth, and that hurts everybody.
What planet do you live on?
Liberal "compassion" is mainly baby-boomer, left-wing narcissism. It makes them feel good about themselves regardless of the damage it does to other people. The actual results of their efforts are unimportant.
The young of today are being left a country deeply in debt and with an economy in shambles. I hope they look at our history, learn how we became the greatest, most free, most dynamic country ever in history. We can regain that,, or we can continue on our path become another failed country. Many great civilizations thought they would live forever, they failed, we can too, we are well on our way.
Young people are naturally rebellious to a degree. Who better to rebel against than the establishment, which is now represented by the LEFT. No matter how powerful, rich and entrenched they become, liberals still fantasize they are the plucky underdogs sticking it to "the man."
Barack Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are what happens when the mentally ill are led by the criminally insane..
So just another fringe movement like they are then (I did not approve of extreme protests like that and two wrongs dont make it right)? Where were you guys when Bush created his debt (and his bailouts which where left to Obama)? I don’t see Obama taking yer guns, putting up concentration camps, taking over Business permanently or any other crazy hogwash.
The article is heartening.
It makes US old farts have hope. Not the false hope that Barry promised either. We can also see change coming. Real change.
My kids are late 20's, early 30's. They make me proud that they have gotten active. They always had been active to a point, just good, solid decent citizens. Barry has built a fire under them, and gotten them all fired up.
Thanks Obama!
Breaking News: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/ny_crime/2010/03/...
You mean its what the right/Tea Partiers/Rush is about? (With insults and all the other bullying of the other side, such as booing a protester carrying a pro public option sign about….)
Don't be a guest. Join up!
The youth protesting in the 60's were rebelling against their WWII generation parents. The youth today are rebelling against their baby boomer parents who happen to be the protesters from the 60's.
So long as there are Americans unwilling to get on their knees to beg the govt for a root canal or milk there will be Tea Partiers. And now it's time for Americans to throw out the seditious filth in DC.
"…Pelosi calls this massive debt imposed on us “investing in the future.” Ummmm, am I missing something?…"
When Spkr. Pelosi says "investing in" it ALWAYS means "stealing from".
Great article, Lyda.
This is so encouraging. Just last week my daughter told me that while the country was enthralled with Obamamania, her College Republican office was deserted, now it is bustling.
Thanks for the zombietime link. I had it bookmarked, lost it and forgot about it.
"….They'll lose their compassion for others as they age….."
No, people grow up. Try it. You'll find out what true compassion is when you can put another before yourself. When a young couple starts a family and brings children into this world, they learn that true love involves sacrifice. Eventually, idealism gives way to realism but compassion is expanded as perspective changes. Being compassionate and idealistic doesn't necessitate the abandonment of reason and responsibility.
So paranoid homophobic mob rule ftw? Gays have no equal rights/cant serve our country etc (Sexuality is not a choice)?
Excellent post! "…broken in your spirit…" – Yes. And the seared soul's veiled cry for 'justice' is revealed in selfishness, guided by the credo "what about me?".
In order to save our country as we know it. We must purge both the Democratic and Republican parties of the Elitist Liberals and Progressives.
We must elect non career leaders that will enact term limits so they do not become career Politicians.
I am donating, and encourage others to donate to Conservative ( I do not mean progressive) primary candidates all over the country.
If we are to survive we must take control of our country.
Political Links
Exactly. Coming from the Left, compassion is just condescension.
Clicked your link–what the Hell was that?! 'Sure glad I live out here in the boonies.
If the shoe fits…
Not into urban-mythological stereotypes much, are you?
Behold the open minded leftie. Look upon the vitriol spewed by this person and reflect upon what a miserable existence he/she must lead. You can have your progressive mindset soothie, it is obviously doing you no good.
Try getting outside a bit more, soak up some sun or something for Gods sake.
ditto to nolotrippen, sign up and contribute regularly.
The tide is turning, you can see it in groups like Lyda's and in the make up of the majority of those who show up every year for the Right to Life March. As the battle turns, expect visceral reactions from the establishment; ridicule, name calling, anything to try and discredit those who are fighting the good fight. When they get the inevitable reaction, they will know that they are on the right track.
I saw a woman carrying a sign at a recent rally that read, "First time protestor. Thanks for getting me off the sidelines."
She pretty well summed up what a lot of us are feeling.
Sure, if the marxist shoe fits. Obama has worked hard for the title and actively campaigned for it since before he was in college.
College homeys were also marxists and now they're coming forward to say he was and still is. Obama is not violent, he just lets the SEIU do that for him. What have you been smoking for the last two years RoboThinker?
.
You're going to need a crowbar to pry those cards out of Soothsayer's cold, dead hands.
The truth is sometimes a bitter pill to swallow. We don't encourage kids to call him Hitler. Nor do we need to encourage kids to call him Marxist. The )o( 's history has been systematically stamped with marxist seal of approval. If you love this country, lest you forget his "friends and mentors" prior to his election, do some searching for yourself. Talk about liberating.
Everybody needs to get out and fight this healthcare bill this week, it's happening, Obama and Pelosi are using the nuclear device to nuke the constitution on it.
go to dickmorris.com to get list of congressmen and start calling and don't ever stop. it works! they will run scared again.
Humorous cartoon on the fuzzy math of Obama’s healthcare bill at http://drawfortruth.wordpress.com/category/health-care/
For godsakes….I see you've mixed-up your name – AGAIN.
It's "Thinker-free," libtard.
Not to be confused with "Think Free" since moonbats love the handouts and feelings of entitlement.
Listening to the Federal government lately is like receiving a root canal, without the painkillers. Pretty soon, that root canal will be happening every quarter, accompanied by a proctological exam, whether we like it or not.
There is a difference between investing in something and flushing cold hard cash down the toilet (sort of like calling a "car" an investment). Hope to God, when she is voted out of office, that she does not get hired by an investment house. If she does, I want to know which one, so I can stay the hell away.
Finally, a cause children can take stock in… Our country. Good for your daughter! Tell her to keep up the good work/fight.
Another form of self-delusion, which is par for the course for progressives.
My 17 year old daughter has been at war with her teachers and has transferred out of classes where she feels the "teacher" is forcing progressive indoctrination on her and her fellow students. She makes no bones about it when she tells her guidance councilor why she wants to be moved!
She's a captain in Jr. ROTC and plans to be career USAF after college.
She'll be 18 on July 4th and "can't wait to vote for Marco Rubio" and against any and all progressive-libtard-moonbats on the ballot.
There is HOPE for us still.
(Sorry about using the "H-word".)
Keep it up GIRL, your generation's future will be determined by your (The young's) resolve!! Be a lighthouse to lead as many to the truth as possible, their (The powers that be) hypocrisy is easily exposed!!! They (The powers that be) blatantly "Punk" the people, especially the young, for they are who will generate the wealth the "Teachers" (Guardians/Lords/Seers) require!!
WE, need to salute those new people, and do everything in our power to encourage them to carry the torch forward.
An Independence Day baby, born to a great patriotic parent, obviously. Job well done!
Ha! So two wrongs DO make a right! ; )
Thanks! We are in a very blue city. She even had to change her political status on Facebook in '08 to Moderate, and had to stay away from the College Republican office, out of fear, literally. Times have changed, thank goodness.
Margot, brilliant! Pithy, precise, cutting. I have scarcely seen more truth in one sentence. I would say my daughter did pretty well for her age).
Here is one of my favorite questions: Where in the Bible does it say we should make the government the agent of our works?
Another troll-a-matic and typical progressive lovin' idiot. Naysayers always are losers. Go back to Huffinpuff and Media Smatters.
Soothsayer, don't know your age but you have obviously lost your idealism and all compassion for your fellow man. As one of the anointed ones, I suppose you can't concieve of other people having a different way to do things. Very sad to see.
Free Stinker:
Troll along
If she does, we can all get rich by shorting every long position they take and going long on every short position they take. God Bless America
As an 18-year-old who has been involved in politics since the 4th grade, I’m totally with you on this. The youth of America really need to get educated and involved with what’s happening to our country. After all, we’re the ones who are going to have to deal with the fall-out. I’m dedicating my life to the repair of this country, and I’m doing my best to encourage my peers to do the same.
Sybill,
So happy for you and your daughter. Please let her know… regardless of her beliefs, never give up on what her heart tells her… she has a great foundation from home… not from her educators, but from her family … who will never lead her astray. Powerful. God Bless you and God Bless America.
Responses like these is why I love this place. Thank you for your support. It chokes me up, and the lefty's can make fun of me all they want. Being here is like an online TeaParty.
It's a vicious circle we spin our lives in, ain't it?
What city would that be?
I think, in time, you will find most of us on the big sites are not so much part of any party. We believe in our God, our Constitution and our freedom. Our problem is not with those who disagree with our beliefs. Our problem is with a government that has become too big to realize that it cannot control our rights. Our Creator gave us inalienable rights and there will always be those who think they can out do our Creator. Very simple.
More of you. More of us.
No more Baby Boomers! They have had how many decades to get it right? This is speaking truth to power. And it is both truth and power that don't belong to them anymore.
Any wonder if they know it yet Lyda? We'll still let them vote of course. Andy Stern has no clue what power of persuasion really means at the grass roots. Roll up your sleeves.
(Staples? Ouch)
Not that the lefty's can't track me already, but, you can't be serious.
Sure you are such a free thinker saying what everyone else on the left says about the teaparties
I am part of the us on the big sites to which you refer. But, I appreciate your sentiment.
Lyda, I appreciate and applaud your enthusiasm especially as I am someone under the age of 35. Having said that I doubt the Tea Party movement will be our movement. I personally find the whole movement perplexing as do alot of my peers. Aging baby boomers "concerned about the national debt" Are you people serious? where have you been the last 40 years of deficit spending? Go to a tea party, look arround, 90% of the people there have been able to vote at least as far back as the Carter administration, and yet what have we had? bigger and bigger government every single year. Baby boomers, you have spent the last 30 years turfing your civic responsibility, and have done nothing to hold your government accountable. Yet you you have the audacity to stand up on a soapbox, wrap yourself in the American flag and shake your fist with moral outrage over Govt. spending? Please, spare me. Yes, the youth of America need a movement, and it needs to bring the government back into the hands of the people. As for you Mr. 55 year old tea-Party activist? Your help is not needed, you've done enough damage already.
I have a curious disconnect in my own home.
My son gets it, he is off at liberal indoctrination school at Kansas State University and he just laughs at the crap he is fed on a daily basis but he regurgitates it for the exams just to get the grade. My daughter, on the other hand, hates everything political yet she is in an uber-smart BioMed program in high school and she is actually doing daily rounds in local hospitals. My daughter has the most at stake given her career path yet she is the least politically engaged. My focus is to save my daughter's future even if she won't stand up and save it herself.
I have great faith in the youth of America. Given the age of my kids I have had many of their friends who had just joined the Army or the Marines through my front door and I will likely to go bankrupt buying that bottle of Crown Royal that I promised all of them on their return from Iraq or Afghanistan. My son gets it and most of my kids friends get it.
…Lee
Silly, silly child. And to think you fashion yourself a "free thinker".
Wanting to be left alone is the antithesis of bullying — and that is what the people in the Tea Party movement, in many respects, hope to achieve.
To keep the metaphor intact, consider the stereotypical scenario of the schoolyard bully demanding the smaller student surrender his lunch money. Both the bully and the government can enforce their demands through the use of force (albeit, lawfully only in the case of the latter).
Contrast that with the ee-vail corporations, which we on the right are said to mindlessly favor: what can ExxonMobil, Monsanto, or Microsoft *force* me to do? Absolutely nothing.
Now which side of the ideological divide is about bullying, again?
Change the topic. Employ gross exaggerations. Blatant non-sequiturs.
Fail. EPIC fail.
Run along now …
Kids these days are smart enough to understand what's going on, they see the hypocrisy and feel the frustration that current generations in power are damaging America's future.
Also, just so young people inclined towards the Tea Parties know we stand with you…a note about Gen-Xers, excerpted from another website:
"(29-40 years old) Gen-X'ers, especially males, are more Republican in their party identification and conservative in their ideological orientation than any other generation. Concern with the economy and taxes ranks high for this group. …The Gen-X'ers seem broadly to favor a libertarian position on social issues such as abortion and same sex marriage and moderate (or pragmatic) positions on environmental protection, economic intervention, and educational policies….They are sharply more pessimistic about their economic future, but more positive about their family and religious lives, than the Millennials."
Hey Lee,
Did your son go to college using any financial aid? Is your daughter planning on going to college using financial aid and scholarships? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, thank a f##king Liberal hypocrite!
Here's hoping your children can repair the damage you've done once they move out OR they can just suck off the Liberal tit while back-stabbing them. Typical!
“These people are either too superstitiously religious, or too cowardly for arms; they either, cannot, or dare not defend; their property is open to any one who has the courage to attack them.” (Thomas Paine, “Thoughts on Defensive War,” Pennsylvania Magazine, July 1775)
Yeah, the Progressive philosophy inspires the best of humanity, right, Sooth – like Purges, Mass Starvation, Mass Murder, GroupThink, Historical Revisionism, Economic Collapse, Debasement of the Individual, and Creation of Ignorant Trolls who are Scared Witless of the Soaring Popularity and Influence of the BigWorld blogs….
…you time is over – no more playing the Race card, the Gay card, the Transgendered card….your game is up, loser.
I want to encourage kids to label a "duck" anything that walks and quacks like one.
Besides, FreeThinker, where were you the 8 years of the Bush administration when the entire left was calling Bush "Hitler"? And making giant papier-mache BushHitlers, and signs, and effigies. Where were you? Still a little kid way back then?
http://zombietime.com/hall_of_shame/
"A mother helps her young daughter play "Pin the Molotov on the Cop Car" at the Anarchist Bookfair, March 18, 2006. "
(18th photo from top….right above the image of the "Child's guide to Anarchism" coloring book.)
Yeah, lets encourage kids to call Marxists Marxists. I'M ALL FOR IT. Better than what the left teaches kids.
Look up you some KEVIN JENNINGS. Google "Fistgate", if you want something to think freely about, FreeThinker.
Let's see…teaching kids about the joys of Fisting vs. teaching kids what Marxism is and does.
I'LL TAKE THE LATTER, THANKS. You can keep the former, and take the moral high ground.
And "Marxist" is not an insult. It's the truth about the man's ideology, his methods, his entire upbringing, and his whole career. If the truth is insulting to you, that's YOUR PROBLEM, NOT MINE.
"I don’t see Obama taking yer guns, putting up concentration camps, taking over Business permanently or any other crazy hogwash. "
Not yet, you don't. That's the thing here, see. He is on that path. He is doing all the things that all our most hated world leaders in history did JUST PRIOR to doing all that other heinous stuff.
"Taking over business permanently."
Is there an "exit strategy" for the takeover of the banks, 2/3 of the auto industry, and the mortgage industry, that I'm not aware of? All those takeovers are "temporary"? News to me.
Should we wait until the guns are taken and the camps are running full-steam before trying to oust this man? I don't think we should wait that long. Maybe it's just me, I don't dig the smell of burning people.
You're right about Bush, IMO. He caved to the libs and did the first bailout. But then, I was never a fanboy. Neither were most of the Rightwing, and we criticized him when he strayed into big-gov entitlement spending, which was often.
Kevin Jennings is not a "fringe movement". He is our "Safe Schools Czar", appointed by Obama, and somehow, still formulating policy….policy which is designed to teach kids from K-12 about the joys of GLBT, lesbianism, fisting, gay-bars, and everything except normalcy – because normalcy is bad.
We conservatives kick to the curb anyone who is too extreme. Hell we'll boot you from the party for tapping your feet in an airport bathroom.
The left as exposed by zombie NEVER kicks extreme elements out. EVER. No matter what your views, no matter if you want to parade your naked self at rallies. The FRINGE is not really the fringe to the left. It's pretty much the whole rug.
Dear Editor:

Sorry Sybilll. Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers.
I'm impressed with this girl. I saw her in an interview with Glenn Reynold's and I was shocked she's only 14. She's very intelligent and mature for her age! Great job Lyda.
The Bailout legislation was a Democrat bill. Nancy Pelosi, in her post-election elation said as much. Blame Bush all you want for TARP but we all know that a bill CANNOT pass without Congress's approval. And that approval was given by a Democrat majority Congress.
Get your head out of the sand. If a President could get a piece of legislation passed so easily then why is Obama having such a hard time passing Health Care???
