Caramba!
This phrase, in the New York Times article, about pro-life advocates encouraging greater black participation in the right-to-life cause and taking on the legacy of Margaret Sanger, got my attention: “ … the anti-abortion movement, long viewed as almost exclusively white and Republican … ”
Viewed by whom? The mostly melanin-challenged, liberal editorial board of the New York Times? Yeah, right.
First, two words to all of you icky white, colorblind Republicans who have been déclassé enough to take a stand against the assassination of voiceless unborn children throughout the years: Thank you. You are doing the Lord’s work. Keep it up!

Second, Latinos are eager to add some spice to this just cause. Polls consistently show that a majority of Hispanic voters (full disclosure: my mami and papi are Central American) describe themselves as “pro-life.” A Pew Hispanic Center survey reports that while 57% of Hispanics believe abortion should be “illegal,” the number rockets to 77% when the Hispanics describe themselves as “evangelical.” Meanwhile, one Zogby International poll revealed that:
Hispanics support a pro-life position by a 78-21 percent margin.
These are no small details, not just because the Times wants to unfairly stereotype opponents of abortion, but because Planned Parenthood En Espanol has also been aggressively targeting Latinas, particularly low-income ones, to partake of their, er, ‘services.’ Just look at all the sleazy ads in this popular Spanish-language newspaper, based in New York City, for ‘abortos.’

Ugh.
In 2008, the Mexican actor Eduardo Verástegui, star of the life-affirming movie Bella (which was feted by the Mexican Embassy), blew the whistle on such devilish schemes to exterminate Latino and Latina “bebes” in this ad he starred in:
Gracias, Eduardo.
Latino candidates who are passionate pro-life advocates, like Marco Rubio, who is a Cuban-American, seem to have the mo’ during this important election year. In global news, Costa Rica, a staunch ally of the United States, just elected its first woman president – a committed pro-lifer named Laura Chinchilla.
Abortion is a battle of epic proportions. At stake are not only the lives of millions of innocents, but national policy that can and will affect generations to come if we let the other side do all the talking.
So, don’t let accusations of racism, by the ideologically undiverse New York Times, ever silence you. To paraphrase Dan Quayle. wearing their scorn is indeed a badge of honor. In the end, we all have to give an accounting to the good Lord for how we lived. And He, amigos and amigas, is the toughest editor of them all.

The coupon for 10% off (under 12 weeks…) belies the idea of abortion as a "necessary medical procedure" to "ensure women's health" doesn't it?
all of you icky white, colorblind Republicans
Heh heh. You're welcome.
My wife is Mexican, and I have lived and worked in Mexico for 13 years. I didn't realize how strong the pro-life sentiment was among Mexican women until I witnessed my wife, and her friends, reaction to John Kerry's (typically) bumbling pro-choice response to the question at the townhall debate for the 2004 Presidential Election. Kerry lost a good part of the latina vote there for sure.
While we're on the subject. I am struck by the similarities between Sarah Palin and latinas in general, my wife included of course. They are of necessity – resourceful; in business – successful; on sharing opinions – unaffraid; of families and children – dedicated; of feminism – it's about being a woman. Let's face it, these are the real feminists, why Republicans and Conservatives have failed to grasp this is beyond me.
Thank you, thank you, thank you – a beautiful video and article
Bingo . Nasty little Margaret Sanger and her eugenics still live on in the black hearts of the Commisars .
Unfortunately a huge portion of the Black and Hispanic voting public just go along with the "Republicans are evil" line rather than think about things like this.
I had never made the connectin between Palin and Latinas, but I think you make a great point. I think the Tea Party would agree with you too. I agree with you– a woman who chooses to carry a handicapped child is the real feminists in my book!
If you look at the big picture, and how Republicians work to provide a strong economy, an economy that will provide great opportunity for all to have the American dream, it would seem that the Hispanics, who pay a big price to come here, would really want that opportunity, not the nanny state found in our progressive citiy's ghettos.
They need to get latinos on board with abortion; it's the only way to keep their population increases down. Otherwise, the black demographic becomes an ever-smaller portion of the voting bloc, and they can't have that.
Fabulous. Some hack writing for a Breitbart rag accusing the New York Times of bias! It's only eleven a.m. and yet I'm pretty sure that's the best laugh I'll have all day. Thanks!
Not sure what your point is… even LIberals know the Times is biased…
She's just setting them straight, which until the past year nobody has even tried to do in most cases.
Gracias para este, La Vida es lo mas importante de todo. Sin La Vida, una persona tiene nada.
translation:
Thank You for this. Life is the most important of all. Without Life, a person has nothing.
1/4 Latino, 3/4 Anglo, and 100% Proud American.
I never thought much about Life/Abortion till lately. The grand premier of Jeremiah Wright on foxnews, and the way the media handled him woke me up. I have read so many books, done so much research, and my eyes are opened and my mind is disgusted.
Having now seem MAAFA21 and the video "The Silent Scream" I am 100% pro-life and unbending in those beliefs.
Vaya con Dios my friend.
I've been writing about this for the past ten years. You wouldn't believe the hate mail I get from the feminists even though abortion is deadly for women. Many clinics are mob run but who cares about that? Pam writing above comment is typical of my critics.
Brietbart and his sites have no claim on objectivity, and they state that up front. That's our issue with the MSM, is that they claim to be ojective while sliding so far the left it's embarassing. There is no reporting anymore. It's all opinion and whitewash.
The NYTimes on the other hand, is supposed to be the beacon of objectivity in the entire world as we know it.
It's the sharade that NYT put on that is the best laugh of all.
You beat me to it, i saw the coupon ad and wondered if anybody else noticed it. A coupon for an abortion?
A must see video. http://www.oilforimmigration.org/facts/?p=5672
True that the abortion industry has been targeting Hispanics as well as Blacks, with a result that Hispanics in the US are aborting at about three times the RATE as Whites. It's astonishing that the Dems can have the support of minorities while arranging for this genocide on the side. Google BornAliveTruth, for the full scoop on the Obama connection to this. Planned Parenthood has concentrated efforts to export its medical abortion southward to Mexico and South America, knowing that this will increase the demand for the most profitable surgical abortions. The end result will be a worsening of the health and social status of women.
Thanks to Izzy Lyman for the great commentary.
a country, a people, a citizen- is only as good as their weakest and most innocent…
And if you have no sanctity of life you have absolutely nothing. If an unborn innocent is just a six pound hunk of meat then what is a politician like Pelosi or Obama? 180 pounds of meat?
The problem with humanism and eugenics, amongst other things, is that it dimunizes everything- and everybody.
When the youngest, or eldest amongst us become problematic, in the way-
What do WE become?
That's easy. We become Godless monsters, that's what. And they eventually turn on each other.
See downfall of Communism for details…
I know the pro-abortion arguments. I used to repeat them when I was a liberal. Even when I became a Christian I did not immediately become pro-life because I still thought compassion required our letting the distraught or "ill-equipped" mother abort the child. The expression that set me thinking was: "Abortion stops a beating heart." Now I think: with all the problems confronting us, all the difficulties that need to be addressed, how can anyone decide that the defining issue of their life is the right to an abortion? Mind-boggling.
God Bless You, Izzy, for spotlighting the nonsense of the NY Times (Slimes) and the important work of Eduardo Verastegui.
The movie "Bella" is an international success and the first of many hopefully, positive pro-life films. "Juno", too, opened many people's eyes to the fact that young people more and more say abortion is wrong and are choosing life, and when necessary, adoption.
This is the crucial battle of our times – when we win the abortion 'debate", everything changes…
…the "progressive socialists" cannot succeed when a society believes Individual Life is the Greatest Value…
…their evil designs for power only succeed when the so-called "people" as a whole are glorified – and that is abstract nonsense that allows them to brutalize and murder "individuals" in the name of "The People" –
- all the while maintaining "individual" control of the government, economy and society. BASTARDOS.
Now this is the kind of big tent I like….
To the Left, The Federal Republik of Washington, DC is all the family you need. They only need you help them maintain a majority, nothing more. If you have 1 more child than they need to "provide" for, it's okay with them to exterminate it and YOU once they find a replacement voter.

And yet here you are, Pam, reading BigJournalism – strange -…
…you are a lying leftist troll, scared witless by the success of BigWorld blogs…
…sucks to be a progressive/liberal/socialist loser, don't it, Pammy….hahaha
Excellent Steve. I have my theories on why they failed to grasp it and it has more to do with the Progressive's demonizing.
Very fresh Ms. Lyman even though it is less fresh and more suppressed. The Hispanic vote is absolutely the MASSIVE wild card going into November. Praying that your voice and others get the Hispanic community into the tea party movement ASAP.
The fate of California may depend on it.
You are probably right Dave. But, one advantage we have when communicating with latinos, though, is that the overwhelming majority can be reached through two separate pathways, one english, and of course spanish. We can bypass most of the MSM non-sense, since MSM opinion leadership is almost exclusively english. For starters, how about a "Big Spanish" website, so that Hispanic conservatives can make their views known.
Abortion is the self-imposed Holocaust, promoted by the media and financed by government.
I disagree. I saw a news report today that claims Obama weighs 179lb, and unless Pelosi is 7 ft tall, I doubt she weighs 180 lb either.
Excellent article, thank you. Keep praying for all the unborn children out there.
Come November you won't be laughing anymore.
Let's face it, these are the real feminists, why Republicans and Conservatives have failed to grasp this is beyond me.
Because the GOP has too little self esteem, and so looks for validation from the MSM, which is nothing more than the attack machine for the democratic party. Prime example: Republican Presidential nominee John McCain.
I wish the approach on the battle against abortion would be fought with the cold hard facts of Margret Sangers (founder of Planned Parenthood) desire to purge this world of race….well lets just take her words for it:
"Today eugenics is suggested by the most diverse minds as the most adequate and thorough avenue to the solution of racial, political and social problems."
"Give dysgenic groups [people with 'bad genes'] in our population their choice of segregation or [compulsory] sterilization."
"[Slavs, Latin, and Hebrew immigrants are] human weeds … a deadweight of human waste … [Blacks, soldiers, and Jews are a] menace to the race."
"Eugenic sterilization is an urgent need … We must prevent Multiplication of this bad stock."
– Margaret Sanger, April 1933 Birth Control Review .

Muy buen articulo! (Parte primera, part I)
I am a Pediatrician. In addition, I have not just one but two Doctorates (PhDs) in Developmental Biology (DB). I am also a Latino (mi Padre es Americano, mi Madre es Latina) and a proud US Citizen by birth.
Why do I write? Because I think people need to get educated about prenatal liofe before they go issuing Laws or casting votes for people who would issue Laws.
DB –my professional field- is the science that studies the life of the individual from conception to the completion of extra uterine growth.
The first concept that one should retain is that the Human Embryo is NOT a bunch of cells developing into a Human (that is an asinine statement!), rather, the Embryo is an Individual of the Human Species undergoing development.
Muy buen articulo! (Parte segunda, Part II)
Development is a continuous process that starts at Conception and end with the death of the Individual. Science thus teaches that from implantation onwards- the individual will be the same individual until his or her death.
I strongly believe that Journalists and Politicians should study basic embryology: that is the only way they can come to realize what abortion is: the premeditated killing of a defenseless human individual. It is a homicide, undertaken because the baby is not wanted (in 97% of the cases).
Babies are not like bad teeth to be pulled out because they produce pain.
Gracias por un articulo tan bien escrito!
Have you ever met a mother, who regretted, that she did not abort her baby ?
When Nancy Pelosi tells you that there is not provision in the Senate health care for abortion DON'T BELIEVE HER!
By law (there was a court case affirming this) UNLESS SOMETHING IS EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED in the bill, IT IS deemed to be COVERED. That is why they had to add the Stupak amendment in the House bill.
God Bless You, Izzy, for spotlighting the nonsense of the NY Times (Slimes) and the important work of Eduardo Verastegui.

Hmmm..
So you can discount Izzy's post because she's a "hack" writing for a "rag". Can't argue with your invincible logic there.
PLEASE hang onto that Progressive arrogance—it's the reason Obymandias and his collection of congressional gargoyles are doing so well in the court of public opinion.
I think that in the end the pro-life dem types that we are talking about here will always vote themselves free money over the saving the lives of babies they do not know.
Abort ~~~< Politically correct for Kill!!! The teach immorality and then they provide the trash can!! The sad part is, the people sin, so they feel they have to turn to them to abolish it for them!!!
Let me know when they run a coupon for an emergency appendectomy (I'll hold my breath waiting for that)
I was a unit secretary in a hospital in central Illinois about 18 years ago when I got a call from the E.R. needing someone to traducir for a girl who was only 15 years old and pregnant, for the third time. The enfermeras wanted me to apprise her of what the procedure was that they were about to do on her, like she didn't know. While I was somewhat happy with myself for having learned Spanish well enough to give her the legally-required aviso, I couldn't help the feeling that the word "abettor", in an amoral, criminal sense, wasn't more accurate. I often wonder what ever became of that kid–I know what became of her kids.
Fantastic article! Ms. Lyman, you are the true feminist. At the core, women were made to carry life. That this natural function needs to be championed is telling of the times in which we live.
Keep up the good work!
Great article, the more people talk about the reality of abortion the more people will realize how damaging, heinous and evil it is for all involved…
Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas, pray for us!
Great article, but i just wanted to mention to you, that i had some bugs when viewing in opera. Is it cool to leave a link to my bingo sites website?
I'm hispanic, and pro life. Actually, all my friends and acquaintances are hispanic and prolife ( i live in Miami, the capital of Latin America). The pro life movement is not Anglo-Saxon exclusively. It is made up people of conscience, who understand that all human life is worthy of protection. Even if it's black life, or hispanic life.
Adoption! Thousands of infertile couples are waiting for babies of any race. Until we make the birthmother decision easier for girls and women unprepared to parent, we will continue to have millions of fatherless children and millions of abortions. Let’s communicate that carrying your baby to term and choosing a family to raise him/her is a noble and sacrificially loving thing to do! I am so grateful for the two young women who chose us to parent their little ones.
Beautiful article about a sad and tragic truth. Well done.
