I am Lloyd Marcus, black singer/songwriter of the American Tea Party Anthem traveling nationally on the Tea Party Express III tour. While riding on the bus to our first rally of the day in Davenport, Iowa, I opened the following email from a lady named Hallie Kempt.
Ms Kempt’s subject line read, “YOU ARE STILL A NIGGER”. Here is the text of her email. The capital letters are all hers:
HOW FAST YOU SELECTIVE CHOSE TO FORGET. IT WAS NOT THAT LONG AGO THAT YOU WERE NOT ALLOWED IN THE MILITARY AND IS STILL DISCRIMINATED AGAINST AND THEY WILL ACCEPT YOU IN THE TEA PARTY AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT FORGET YOU ARE STILL A “NIGGER” NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU WANT TO FORGET, IT IS STILL IN THEIR MINDS. YOU ARE TO STUPID TO KNOW WHEN YOU ARE BEING USED. YOU AND MICHAEL STEELE. YOU MAKE ME SHAME OF MY BLACK BROTHERS. YOU WILL NEVER BE MORE THAN A “NIGGER” THEY NEVER LET THE PRESIDENT OF THIS MOST POWERFUL COUNTRY FORGET HE IS A “NIGGER” ONCE A NIGGER, ALWAYS A NIGGER.

I have saved Ms. Kempt’s email for documentation.
Ms Kempt is a product of the democrat’s and liberal mainstream media’s relentless attempts to portray the Tea Party movement as racist. I guarantee you that this ignorant, vicious woman has never attended a tea party. Her email is typical of the intolerance and hate I receive from the left in response to my columns and my participation in the Tea Party movement. The left hates minorities who do not view themselves as victims and love their country.
At southern state rallies, countless white moms and grandmothers have approached me and said, “Mr. Marcus thank you for all you are doing for our country. May I hug your neck?” Big burly white men give me hearty handshakes in thanks for my efforts while they fight back tears. This is not the behavior of angry racist mobsters. The folks who attend these tea parties are not racist. They are great Americans fearful of the tyrannical Obama administration and his plan to bypass our Constitution to, in his own words, “fundamentally transform America.”
At our Madison, Wisc. rally it was cold and rainy. Still, we had a very good crowd. Local patriot meat packers made fresh Bratwurst for our Tea Party Express team the day before our rally. They cooked the bratwurst on the grill for us. Delicious!
Apparently, we Americans will fry anything. In Brookfield, Wisc., I ate my first fried pickle. Yes, you heard me, fried pickle. Very good. Another memorable experience while traveling on Tea Party Express tour III. Time to do laundry. Three rallies tomorrow. Talk to y’all soon.

It seems to me like "NATIVE AMERICAN GRANNY" is projecting her own racism here. Her attitude is the problem, not the Tea Party.

Mr. Marcus, it really saddens me that you have this kind of vitriol thrown at you.
I once heard the theory that those members of victim groups who support policies such as affirmative action do so not out of any sense of "fairness," but because they are afraid that if such policies went away, they would not be able to compete in the world. It is precisely the attributes of truth, logic, fairness and justice that such people want to circumvent via their policies, because they know that in a truly honest game, they would lose. Just as the liberal left would lose if they ever had to play honestly in the game of ideas, which is why they try so hard to shut us up.
We fully know what we are up against. It's the same playground bullies that used to take our lunches…. Their not getting mine anymore!

I was at the Milwaukee Tea Party on Wednesday. I think it was a good showing for the day, time and weather conditions. Thank you for doing this Tea Party Express event!! There were many more people who wanted to attend and could not because they actually had to work. Wow, what a concept…. Loved all the truckers that went past the Petit Ice Center grounds and honked their air horns!!

I'm not too worried about how future Tea Parties handle the infidels that will try to join in. The TP's organize huge rallies, leave less trash than there was when they arrived, and not ONE incident has been proven that has been lobbed against them. I think they can take out this trash as well.

I had the privledge of seeing Marcus in DC 912 last year. I can still hear his song in my ears. So it hurts me to see someone writing such mean spirited things to him. Marcus has recognised that we are the same: Americans. Everyone is unique yet we have one common denominator, our love of our country and pride in being an American. We share values. It's what I was raised to believe in. All other differences are insignificant. Our love of Country and the Lord is what we share and unite under and that's what's really important. The left can spew their hatred, but we know they lie. As long as we continue to show our care for our sisters and brothers in the Tea Parties, that's all that matters. No liar will make a lie a truth.
I'm European – my daughter's grandmother is 100% Cherokee – we're conservative – all we ever wrote on any form was American therefore never got anything deducted from student loans etc. We probably could have milked the system but I thought it would have labeled her and directed her into minority groups in college where they get this "I'm owed" mentality with a chip. She ended up in a sorority with mostly whites and ten years later they remain steadfast friends – going to each others weddings and births etc. She's very balanced, happy and getting married to an Irish-American aka American soon. She teaches in the Bronx though she keeps her mouth shut when Obama's name comes up as she's probably the only one who didn't vote for him.

The armed forces were integrated until Progressive Democrat Woodrow Wilson imposed segregation! When, as a young lieutenant, I was assigned to Fort Benning in early 1958 I was absolutely shocked at the conditions imposed by the Democrats and their party that controlled the state of Georgia.

When the Tea Party Express came through Houston, Tx I was there with my mother, and a friend showed up later. I was by the bus taking a picture of my mother standing by the bus when Lloyd walked up and put his arm around her for the picture. Very friendly with everyone there. I thank you Lloyd, for the picture and for all you are doing.

As someone who has been labeled as a "Uncle Tom" by WHITE liberals/progressives (FTR, I'm 1/2 Thai and 1/2 White), I do empathize with you. I have found more racist and ignorant people among the "tolerant" Left than I ever did among conservatives or libertarians. When you disagree with the liberal/progressive view, they get rather patronizing in their tone and act like those of us who are non-Caucasian "owe" them something because of "what they did for us." I also remind these types that the welfare state and the expansion of government has done more to create a divide in our country than the presence of the KKK could ever dream of doing. At least the Klansman and neo-Nazi skinhead punk are upfront and honest about their disdain for my racial background. The Left hides it under the guise of diversity and compassion.

It was the Democrats that resisted the civil rights movement until they saw they were losing the issue,and then being decievers like any good liberal, they did the old bait and switch, jumping on board with "Johnsons" Great society welfare program. They knew if they gave the folks a little something they could keep the "slaves" from voting against the hand that was feeding them. Therefore, it, in essence, has been "Granny" who has been used by her masters.

Thanks so much for all you do! It's so refreshing to hear the Tea Party movement being defended with truth. I'm incredibly tired of being called a racist because I vehemently disagree with the path our current administration is on. Last time I noticed, Pelosi, Reid, et al are indeed white, as are the majority of Congress.
I have been to 4 Tea Partys now from Washington DC to Searchlight Nevada. I have never witnessed anything even remotely racial. Not in private. Not in public. Nothing. One thing we are guilty of. Excercising our free speech.
Living next to an Indian reservation, I've noticed a clearly racist, "Uncle Tom" style trend among "Native Americans" treating their own tribe members, family members and other Indians like this if they dare "go off the reservation" so to speak, and choose to embrace the "white man's ways."
I'd hate to be Hallie Kempt's family members if they choose to live off the reservation, or choose to assimilate into the melting pot of America and just be American, instead of a "Native American." I'd be willing to bet she calls her own family members names, etc., just as she does Mr. Marcus if they choose not to adopt her racist ways.
Part of me has to feel sorry for these old, racist grannies, because you know they are losing their racism to the brave new world where their racism is having very little success of transferring that racism to the next generation.
Thanks for your concern, but we're all grown-ups here. I think we're capable of deciding for ourselves what our own best interests are.
I have a black friend whose favorite line from 'Blazing Saddles' is "Alright, we'll give some land to the Niggers and the Chinks, but we don't want the Irish!" He gets it, whereas most don't, or won't because they'll have to give up their exclusive membership in the Victim-of-the-Month club and all the(free)perks that come with it. This nation has been trying to get past this for generations but the Revs. Jackson and Sharpton and the rest of the race-baiting Progressive Plantation Platform won't allow it.
An Open Letter to Lloyd Marcus
Lloyd, you don't know me by my face or by my name. We're not blood related and we don't even share the same skin color.
But I want you to know from the bottom of my heart, as long as you love and will stand and fight for our country, and always be faithful to our Constitution, you are, and you always will be, someone I will love and will consider to be my closest Brother.
With that, I vow to always pray for you, follow you, stand beside and be with you, every single day. And, if need, be I'll do my best to help lead you towards God's love and towards the justice that we all seek, and that we all truly deserve.
I promise to share in your joys and help you carry all of your pains, and because you're my Brother, I'm doing all that and much more right now. My hope is that by writing to you right now, that I'm doing all of that today.
And Brother, I hope you will always remember, even though we may be separated by many many miles, you will always be right next to me, and I pray to be right next to you, where it matters the most, in our souls.

PS Brother, I can't help it that between us, for some unexplained reason, God has decided to make me the good looking one. But, that's just one more Cross that I'll have to carry. And carry it well I will ;-]

My heart aches to hear of the hate and name calling you are getting but sadly that is what happens when we stand up for our God given Country that we love so much which is what you do.
