Trillions of dollars are at stake in the man-made global warming debate. The Climategate scandal – where leaked emails and computer programs involve dozens of prominent scientists worldwide – has almost everything one would want in a good scandal: conspiracies, fraud, possible destruction of documents, and lots of heated exchanges. But the media has been reluctant to look into the problems and even when the controversy has been acknowledged it has been quickly dismissed as unimportant.

Newsweek poo-poohed Climategate as just showing “a few scientists in a bad light” and that “there’s still plenty of evidence that the earth is getting warmer and that humans are largely responsible.” The New York Times editorialized that “no one should be misled by all the noise” and that global warming was just too important “to let one set of purloined e-mail messages undermine the science and the clear case for action.” Former Vice President Al Gore has been in full swing doing interviews the last few weeks, and the media has rarely challenged any of his claims. Gore told Slate: “What we’re seeing is a set of changes worldwide that just make this discussion over 10-year-old e-mails kind of silly.” He made the same comment unchallenged on MSNBC. Yet, the thousand emails were written over thirteen years, and went right up through this year.
Take an in-depth analysis of Climategate provided by the Associated Press. The piece appeared in hundreds of publications, with many newspapers carrying it on the front page of their Sunday December 13th edition under the headline, “Science not faked, but not pretty.” The five AP-reporters interviewed three scientists about the emails, and concluded: “no evidence of falsification or fabrication of data, although concerns could be raised about some instances of very ‘generous interpretations,’” as the AP quoted Dr. Mark Frankel, director of scientific freedom, responsibility and law at the American Association for the Advancement of Science. The AP had provided him a copy of the emails, without any other important documents.
But we spoke with Dr. Frankel about his interview with the AP, and it appears that AP portrayed him as not too concerned about Climategate. Asked whether it was possible for him to conclude from the emails whether there was “no evidence of falsification or fabrication of data” based on the emails, Dr. Frankel replied:
No, you can’t do that on the emails alone, you can’t do it on the emails or the program. You know, you owe it to people to interview and get their responses, and you owe it to people to ask people within the discipline, other scientists within that discipline, you know what are the expected practices, forms, etcetera in your field. And that takes a little bit of time, I mean that’s why these investigations often take a long time and that you involve experts who know that scientific field.
When pushed further, “Just trying to clarify that you couldn’t make an answer as to whether there was evidence of falsification or fabrication of data,” Dr. Frankel said:
No, I couldn’t make it on the basis of what I’ve seen, and I consider myself to pretty much be an expert in areas of research misconduct. However, I’m not in the area of climate change, so clearly whoever was doing the investigation would have to be sufficiently… have sufficient expertise as resources in order to carry out this investigation.
He also supported the investigations that had been started at Penn State University and the University of East Anglia, though he suggested that those outside the universities should themselves closely study the investigations:
And that you should be willing and open to going to outside people to be part of your inquiry. I mean, Penn state needs to be aware of that–I’m sure they are. If I were Penn State I would certainly be advising them to be very open to the possibility of bringing in one or two people who have impeccable credentials, well respected, to join in . . .
There is a big difference between saying that there isn’t sufficient evidence to determine if falsification of data occurred, and that there should be an investigation, and concluding, as the AP did: “Science not faked.”
The AP also interviewed another academic, Professor Dan Sarewitz, at Arizona State University. He told us that he also supported the investigations Penn State University and the University of East Anglia:
Yeah, I think they should have external people [to the university doing the investigation]. Certainly. . . . The challenge here might be, can you find people who are independent but also understand the science well enough to really tell [if there was wrongdoing]?
The AP quotes him as saying: “This is normal science politics, but on the extreme end, though still within bounds.” It uses the quote to minimize worries. But our interview suggests his quote was hardly a defense of what transpired, but rather a warning that politics infecting science is all too common and that non-scientists have a too idealized a view of science. “All I’ll say is that you know based on what I’ve seen of the emails it sounds like nasty science politics. And it’s not uncommon in science,” he said. Dr. Sarewitz indicated that these biases undoubtedly affected both sides of the debate and that it is proper for reporters to ask scientists in these controversial areas about their political affiliations, and noted for the record that he is a liberal Democrat.

The third professor quoted in the Associated Press article, Dr. Gerald North joined with Drs. Frankel and Sarewitz in indicating to us that they hoped for more open sharing of climate data, computer programs, and other documents by all the parties involved in climate research — the University of East Anglia, NASA, the British Met Office, and any other organizations that have been unwilling to share their raw data. “I’m certainly not an expert in computer programming. I do however know enough that it’s very important for people in many areas of society to know what’s going into that little black box. It’s very important to have experts who can evaluate those kinds of things,” Frankel said. Sarewitz hoped for more transparency, but he argued that it wouldn’t be a magic cure for the rancor in the debate, which he claimed were ultimately based on political differences. While acknowledging that anyone “can be sloppy and crappy record keepers,” he noted: “It doesn’t seem unreasonable to expect that [Professor Phil Jones at the University of East Anglia] could go back and figure out” some of this information.
We tried numerous times to get a response from either reporters or editors at the Associated Press, but was told that none of the five reporters who worked on the article nor their editors had time to answer any questions. “Well, that won’t happen at this time anyway,” Jack Stokes, Manager of Media Relations with the Associated Press, said when asked if any of those involved with the story could comment even briefly.
Another bias appears in the article. No academics in the article were identified as being on the other side of the debate. The only identified critic was Steve McIntyre, who maintains Climate Audit. The AP described him as someone without expertise in the area, merely “trained in math and economics,” who had worked in “the mineral exploration industry, which produces greenhouse gases.” The obvious implication is that McIntyre’s analysis is biased and should be discounted. Not even the academics attacked in the University of East Anglia emails were interviewed: “Just the fact that I was mentioned in 38 of the emails, it would have been appropriate for him to give me a call,” Patrick Michaels, Senior Fellow in the School of Public Policy at George Mason University and a senior fellow in environmental studies at the Cato Institute, told us. He also listed the names of four other academics criticized in emails who could have provided a critical perspective on the revelations in Climategate.
There were other concerns with the piece. As for Professor Mann’s and others’ attempts to punish academic journals that published skeptical research seems defended by the AP: “That skeptical study turned out to be partly funded by the American Petroleum Institute.” However, the AP fails to bring up that Mann and others who were pushing global warming similarly received funding from organizations that support claims about man-made global warming.
Seth Borenstein
Finally, one of the reporters, Seth Borenstein, the AP science reporter who writes on global warming and the lead author on the piece being discussed here, is part of the Climategate story itself. There is a question about whether he should have recused himself from investigating the story. The last sentence of the 1,800 word AP piece acknowledges: “The archive also includes a request from an AP reporter, one of the writers of this story, for reaction to a study, a standard step for journalists seeking quotes for their stories.” But Borenstein’s email is hardly a neutral “standard step for journalists.” Borenstein criticizes Marc Morano, a critic of man-made global warming claims, of “hyping wildly” the study that Borenstein was asking for comments on. The email looks as if Borenstein was working with others involved in Climategate to discredit critics of man-made global warming.
Science and voters both depend on accurate information. Research can’t be checked when organizations University of East Anglia, NASA, the British Met Office, and others are unwilling to share their data or computer programs. Unfortunately, scientists aren’t the only ones who face tough questions.

This is just beyond ridiculous…I remember all too well, back in the 70's all these so-called 'scientists' screaming that in 30 years the entire planet would be frozen solid…hmmmm, would I rather be warm or frozen?? It doesn't matter how you write it, junk science is nothing more than junk science, for the sake of political stance!!
I think we need to ask, "What do you know and when did you know it? To spend billions on a theory that is based on science (with huge political implications) that destroyed its own data, or won't share the raw data, well, as we say in these hills, "it smells worse than a skunk in an outhouse!"

Enough is enough! This climate change hoax is wealth redistribution on a global scale.
Al gore has lost his marbles. http://popmodal.com/video/4418/An-Inconvenient-Lo...
Let's just have the debate let the skeptics and the believers bring forth their best evidence and act accordingly. The fact that the AGW proponents are not willing to play ball makes this whole thing beyond weird.
The media is made up of mostly Leftists. The Left is too invested in this man-made global warming scam to back off now. Everything natural is attributed to the fault of man by these people. Hell. the Leftist media even has gone out and created "environmental reporter" positions to help perpetrate the man-made global warming scam.
At least more and more people are waking up to the lie of man-made climate change. Hopefully it isn't too late to stop the politicians from forcing the massive wealth distribution scheme of the Left on to us in the name of the global warming scam.
That's when Hanson had his hocky stick pointed in the other direction.
Oh come on! You heard Alger, the debate's over. That's like debating if the earth is flat or round. Even a first grader knows the earths flat!
Key words:
trillions of dollars are at stake.
"There is a question about whether he should have rescued himself from investigating the story. "
Make that 'recused.'
Sounds like job preservation for these eggheads and their willing accomplices in the MSM. What did the deep throat snitch teach us so many years ago when ‘60s agenda journalism was really taking hold, “follow the money.”
Well written.
We have to realize that these people will not give this AGW crap up without a fight. Witness the name calling, shutting out of any dissent, fudging and "correcting" the numbers, etc. Go to Climate Audit. He kicks these cretins in the teeth daily.
Global Warming is like the Y2K scam, only much, much better. Suckers are born every minute.
These idiots claim that warm temperatures are evidence of Global Warming. They also claim that cold temperatures are the result of Global Warming. This is the philosophy of a madman. We look out the window and see weather. Huh.
please corred the typo–should be "recused" not "rescued"
"I'm not a climate expert, I'm a computer model expert."
"Well, I'm not a computer model expert, I'm a climate expert."
"I am a climate model expert not a computer expert."
"I'm a scientific journal expert not a computer climate model expert."
"So let me step in and give you answers," a politician steps in, "it's all real."
Thanks Al Gore.
John & Rodger,
Maybe in the future when someone writes an investigative article and it becomes clear that an MSM reporter like this Seth Borenstein fella was not exactly on the up and up about something (in other words, a snake in the grass) I can't see why not
creatively slip his email address into the mix somehow. Just to see what happens. Nah…Never mind. I'd hate to see all the direct outside comments would snot up their works.
I warned people about peer review ages ago. I told people it wasn't as reliable as they thought, and they wouldn't listen. And now the general public gets its first look at what peer review is like, and it's just as bad as I was saying.
The left's problem here is not following their own advice of listening to people at the bottom. For peer review, they listened only to those at the top, who naturally said that peer review worked well. They ignored those of us at the bottom who said it was deeply flawed.
He should have rescued himself. And recused himself, too!
CLIMATEGATE is sending shockwaves – exposure of top UN global warming tool Pachauri raking in billions for himself and cronies – phony science data from a small mob of leftist "true believers" – liberal "reporters" slanting media coverage – Copenhagen conference utterly debacle (with blizzard to boot) – ALgore lies being confronted and disproved.
2010 will see the end of this colossal leftist power-grab called Global Warming tossed into the dustbin of history, along with the careers and reputations of scoundral scientists, journalists and politicians.
DON"T MESS WITH MOTHER NATURE !
In the 2nd to the last paragraph, "rescued" should be "recused," I believe.
Minor typos aside, to set aside McIntrye as a mere. irrlelevant mathematician boggles the mind. If the "science" is based on math, and a mathematician shows how the math is in error, then doesn't that call the "science" into question? This is especially true when the "scientists" involved refuse/refused to release their original data so the mathematician can try to recreate their conclusions.
AP, your "analysis" is as bogus as Mann's analysis is.
glaciers are coming, run for your lives!
after this winter i fully expect all the 1970s era prophets to be rehabilitated by the media. the thirty yeas of "global warming" will disappear down the memory hole. it's been done before.
Why?
Is it to tax America into economic parity with Europe?
Is it to finally enable the central planning dream to come true?
Is it to give politicians control over production and the financial markets?
Is it for utopian environmentalists who want to have a 1947 economy?
In all cases it is the most powerful source of political control ever devised and if it continues the corruption will be total.
I know you are right. Does anyone in the press ask questions anymore?
Remember when the press actually ask questions?
In the Rocky Mountain State, this whole fiasco has served to highlight the incredible ineptitude and cluelessness of our local news media. In any other situation, the fact that global news includes local players would have the TV anchors breathlessly gushing about the bombshell story with "ties to Colorado". It's a validation thing, they can't help it.
But this time – nothing. Didn't happen. Where are the "hard hitting investigative reports"? They have no problem sending their people into meat packing plants, uranium mines, and other not-so-safe locations just to get the scoop. And how any times have we seen the crusading hidden-camera journalist catching the evil lender, developer, or Ponzi scammer in the act? But on this story, with literally trillions of dollars and our nation's entire economy at stake (and lest we forget, "ties to Colorado") – nothing.
And by nothing I mean, nothing in the Denver Post expect the occasional edited-down AP reprint and nothing on TV except the 5 second talking head equivalent of the same. No "ties to Colorado" here, no "who is Kevin Trenberth and what is he up to?", no "what is NCAR's role in this?" (too bad because they'd have some beautiful location shots on Table Mesa in Boulder), no Freedom of Information Act requests, no crusading undercover reporters, no camping out at Trenbeth's house to capture that early morning off-guard quote, and absolutely no hand-wringing about the public's right to know.
Didn't happen. Move along. Let us back to our swooning and preening over windmills and Colorado's "green economy".
Tools.
I always find it interesting that the press, the constitutional defender of the people, point to the energy industry, who provide a product for voluntary purchase, and accuse them of protecting their financial interests, and yet no one questions all of the money that is at stake from government taking taxes, fees, and penalties taken by force based on climate science. Which side would dry up immediately depending on a definitive outcome? If climate science data was deemed sound, would people stop buying energy? If climate science is deemed fraud, do the government, climate science community and businesses who survive only by regulatory means stand to lose? Why should the press be less suspicious of people who live off of taxes, grants or created industries such as carbon offsets? Is it just too much work?
McIntyre is a statistician; neither Mann nor Briffa nor Jones is. The supposed "experts" on the climate team have been blundering around in fiels *in which they have no qualifications,* such as stats and dendrochronology- but their nonsense passed "peer review" because, well, guess who the "peers" were?
This hasd been a problem for decades in the medical literature. Most doctors couldn't do stats if their lives depended on it; but since "peer review" in the medical journals means reviews by other doctors, never mathemeticians, they have gottwen away, over and over, with the most ridiculous errors: extrapolations from weak correlations, variations within the margin of error, drawing conclusions from woefully small samples (really a subset of the previous).
Remember how cyclamates were supposed to cause cancer? How silicone breast implants supposedly caused immune disorders? How BPA is supposedly a lethal health threat? All claims based on shoddy, amateurish statistical manipulation.
This was how the Secondhand Smoking scam was generated- an effort which, I have my suspicions, was the pilot program for the much, much bigger Global Warming scam.
In Part II, I expect Patrick will lay out one of the meatier parts of the saga: Mann's bumbling-cum-fraudulent statistical hocus-pocus underlying the Hockey Stick.
All five of the reporters are too busy to discuss the article? Doing what? Formulating the next hatchet job on the truth in order to advance leftist playbook propaganda?
Then, how about the ombudsman answering some Ethics in Journalism questions?
1) Did these reporters test the accuracy of information from all sources and exercise care to avoid inadvertent error. Deliberate distortion is never permissible.
2) Diligently seek out subjects of news stories to give them the opportunity to respond to allegations of wrongdoing.
3) Make certain that headlines, news teases and promotional material, photos, video, audio, graphics, sound bites and quotations do not misrepresent. They should not oversimplify or highlight incidents out of context.
4) Examine their own cultural values and avoid imposing those values on others.
5) Distinguish between advocacy and news reporting. Analysis and commentary should be labeled and not misrepresent fact or context.
6) Recognize a special obligation to ensure that the public's business is conducted in the open and that government records are open to inspection.

I agree with everything you wrote. I would like to point out one thing, if you're going to criticize journalism, you need to keep your journalistic integrity up and meet a higher standard. That standard should include paragraphs, with proper punctuation, sentences with proper syntax, and wording in proper English. Although the errors are minor, you don't want the AP being able to point to them and say, something to the effect that, "That's why they're not working here."
I love the concept, now work in cleaning it up a little.
If being an economist disqualifies McIntrye from being part of the climate change debate, we should retract Rajendra Pachauri's Nobel Prize and stop the insanity of having Paul Krugman introduced as an expert. I'll take that trade any day. Then let's kill all the lawyers.
[...] a conspiracy worth believing in. Here’s how the press has been slanting coverage in favor of AGW alarmists, and how reporters themselves have [...]
Isn't " work on " or " work at " preferable?
What we are also witnessing is the birth of the new media as the American people's trusted source of information. The major stories of 2009 were broken by new media, not the MSM. New media have gotten inside of the decision horizon of corrupt MSM, Politics, and Science and is exposing them for what they are. The corrupto-crats are on the run. They can't lie quick enough to put up a credible defense. Don't give them time to retaliate. Keep pressing and stay three steps ahead.
Not my bankruptcy lawyer ! I need the bastard !
The picture of the polar bear says it all. To the leftist this is a polar bear fighting for its life against melting ice and a sure drowning. To the polar bear it is playing at balancing on this tiny piece of ice. If you have ever seen polar bears in the zoo, they are forever creating activities to while away the time between feedings. For sure this is not a polar bear stranding.
There is no longer a believable Main Stream Media. Not only do they continue to IGNORE the facts and the most important stories affecting our country and the world but they do it INTENTIONALLY. So-called "journalists" are no better than liberal HACKS frittering about doing their best to toe the LIBERAL line of the DEMOCRAT Criminals currently in power in the Congress and White House.
The RELIGION OF AGW has been thoroughly debunked. The E Anglia, Penn State, Colorado, NASA data has been misrepresented by pseudo-scientists to continue the MONEY FLOW. When will someone be prosecuted for this MASSIVE FRAUD? I think first in the UK.
By the way, where is AL GORE? Cranking up the heat in his home in Tennessee?
Scott Brown is against this climate change bill and The unreadable socialist, so-called Health Care Bill that is before congress is designed to destroy the U.S. constitution and take away our liberties. It wil decimate Medicare and our present Health Care System, which happens to be the best in the world. It will bankrupt every state in the union. If you have a Mother, Father, brother, Sister,Children, Grandchildren, Friends and Neighbors vote for Scott Brown allow everyone to live in freedom as we have in the past. Health care can be improved but you do not have to destroy our way of life to do it. The people in charge of this country now are not Democrats, Republicans or Independents. They have an agenda that is not in the best interest of free people as we have always enjoyed. Give Scott Brown a chance to save this country. Should this bill pass our life as we have known it will be over forever. THIS IS NOT A PARTISAN ISSUE
A typical debate with a climate change advocate : Q. Can we have a debate on climate change? A. All of the necessary information has already been documented. Q. There is a lot of controversy in this data. A. Only by interest groups who would profit from status quo. Q. Hasn't the Climate-gate e-mails called into question the integrity of the data? A. No that's rightwingers manipulating what these prestigious scientists wrote and it is not our fault you are too stupid and ignorant to understand the data.. Q. Can we see the data? A. We threw away the original data because climate change was agreed upon. Q. Can we see the data? A. Our experts have seen it and its all valid and agreed upon. Q. But can we see the data? A. I'm done with the conversation, case closed.
Thank you.
Thank you for renaming this hoax what it is: "PressGate" (or "MediaGate" or whatever).
At long last, the fraud of Global Warming has been well and truly debunked; yet the HOAX itself has only increased exponentially since the breaking of "ClimateGate".
The problem is that the Left worldwide have put nearly all of their eggs in this one basket called "Global Warming" (I almost can't bring myself to even call it something as blatantly stupid as "climate change"). If "ClimateGate" involved only "science" and the reputations of "scientists" the truth would already be fully spread across the globe.
It is the lives, livelihoods, agendas, and dreams of Leftist politicians and corporations that are at stake. Not to mention the QUADRILLIONS of dollars (no, that's not a mistake. I meant to type QUADRILLIONS – the entire global economy for decades is at issue here).
I seem to recall some sanity in their editorial pages…probably the last bastion of sanity in Colorado media. I think David Harsanyi I think is his name. I think he addressed Climategate with the appropriate derision.
I suggest a new site:
BigClimate.com
Absolutely, Harsanyi wrote a column on it and even made FOIA request of Trenberth, but he's a columnist, not a reporter. It was an opinion piece, and one that was decidedly at odds with the prevailing Denver Post take on the matter.
As far as the Denver Post is concerned it's "Emails? What emails? Oh those… How about them Broncos?"
How long was the bear on top of the ice berg before it melted to that size? Now he is straded and will die at the hands of corrupt U.S corporations who refuse to bow down to AWG. It is heart-rending, isn't it?
I remember the same thing. The media wasn't as big then btu there was all this talk about what we would have to sacrifice if humans were to survive the coming ice age.
From everything I have seen the IPCC (UN) has based all there nonsense on their own opinion more so than a carefull look at the science. Anyone who disagrees with their opinion is simply ignored or sent away.
When will "Law Enforcement" investigate this fraud which has cost at very least hundreds of millions of publc dollars? Or are they once again bowing and scraping before their Masters and then doing whatever they're told?
The defense of the theory, CO2 is a leading cause of global warming, is being pursued in the same way as the argument that the earth is the center of the universe was pursued. This is religion, this is dogma.
Climate Audit is a great site – I also go to Watts Up With That, The Air Vent, and Bishop Hill. All instrumental in leading the fight against this worldwide lie. A lie that is nothing more than money transfers using carbon credits under the guise of global warming and climate change.
American Thinker just had a nice piece on climategate too.
I love this site but I beg you to remember that someday the administrations and thinking will change to the point where another style of thought will have control. No matter what it is, investigate it! Do not give it a pass! Make it defend itself through proof! No more damned lies – from the Left or the Right!
Well, yes, because the grammatical standards we see in mainstream journalism are so very, very high. /sarc
Polar bears are great swimmers. They've been spotted swimming 50 miles from ice or land. So, no, as you've pointed out, the one pictured is certainly not stranded.
"The only identified critic was Steve McIntyre, who maintains Climate Audit. The AP described him as someone without expertise in the area, merely 'trained in math and economics,' who had worked in 'the mineral exploration industry, which produces greenhouse gases.'"
Hilarious, if you think about it. I, my dog, polar bears and the so-called journalists writing this clap-trap also produce greenhouse gases.
Journalism / Media majors were / are the dumb dumbs of college curriculum. just pretty faces and sweet talk

It Didn't Start With Climategate
January 1, 2010
The whistleblower at the University of East Anglia who leaked emails ….that reveal the fraud that is being perpetrated by the world's leading global warming alarmists did us all a great service. But it is important to realize that the deception didn't just begin: rather, the global warming hysteria movement has been shot through with fraud from the start.
The most important document in the history of the anthropogenic global warming movement was the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's Second Assessment Report, ….was the principal basis for the Kyoto Accord which was signed in 1997, and for the nonsense that has been inflicted on the world's elementary school students ever since.
But the Second Assessment Report was hijacked by an AGW activist who re-wrote key conclusions and injected a level of alarmism ……..
Nature Magazine is a major player here.
If it had allowed Steve McIntyre to publish his work, instead of allowing someone powerful to reject the work, this mess would not have been as bad.
http://climateaudit.org/2010/01/05/climategatekee...
Nature Magazine is owned by MacMillan Publishing, which makes Big Bucks selling science textbooks and science library books full of Global Warming scares to American schools. And urban schools are buying this stuff up, fast and furious.

Getting closer to the final showdown, winner-take-all. The two systems, collectivism and individual freedom, cannot cooexist. Sooner or later, there's gonna be a fight.
Science is all a fraud. E-mail in fact does not exist as it is based on the supposed flow of electrons which everyone knows are fake. Can you say Piltdown man? If it was not for talk radio, that lie never would have been exposed! Of course radio waves are fiction too. Everyone knows that. I remember in school when the teachers told us about N-rays. What a joke. And now the government wants to use X-rays at airports. That's really just a way for government thugs to see our thoughts! Except of course we don't have any.
We are witnessing the end of independent main stream journalism. The herd that is our mainstream media long ago gave up objectivity to pursue an agenda. They have become fat, lazy and incompetent, a recipe for being consigned to the ash heap of history. The media is corrupted, the political process is corrupted, and now science is being corrupted. This E-mail story should have attracted the best and the brightest of the investigative reporters. This hoax could go down as the greatest and far reaching scam in the history of mankind and the elites yawn. If this does not reveal an agenda, I do not know what does. The American public is waking up to this fact.

Associated Press writer Borenstein was involved with the scientists at CRU. Associated Press writer Borenstein was then assigned, by the AP to be one of five investigators of the CRU emails. Here was that AP team’s verdict.

Others have called for the AP to address this.

Nothing has happened, but at least the AP doesn’t release another catastrophic warning every day on Yahoo’s main page.
Al Gore never had any marbles.
This religion of the left reminds me of another religion.
One in which the participants sacrifice their children on an altar of falsehood.
While children in other countries study the science of quantum mechanics our children are indoctrinated into the science of the religious left.
All they really have are theories. When you investigate what they (the Priest’s of Climate Change) present as facts you find missing data, distorted data and true data.
They overlook the truth of this saying…
Dead flies make the perfumer's ointment give off a foul odor.
It no longer matters what parts are true once a lie is found to support it.
Just another “the ends justifies the means” strategy of the elitists and their Priest pawn’s
I sure hope your prediction comes true!
I think it's a miracle that the email publisher came along to expose the lies about our climate, in a way that the left cannot dismiss the way their scientists censored their findings. That guy should get some kind of medal.
All of the above. I call it the leftist One World Government dream.
The right produces wealth, the left dreams of ways to spend it.
You need to read the two articles in C&ENews, the ACS's weekly. They've sold out too. Integrity is not as important as the need for AGW to be true.
This is the 3rd of 4th comment on grammatical errors. Who gives a s*** what the people at the AP think. I sure don't remember how to conjugate a verb or diagram a sentence anymore and I would guess that not very many other people do either. (and I don't care if that sentence isn't right!!) Please limit your comments to the points made in the article.
Can we please have just a little global warming Sir please?now Sir?
Thanks. I finally get thawed out enough to type and I find you have stolen my thunder… I'll be watching you! +++
I love this blog, but I find the movement of the rolling Twitter messages on the right side of the screen so distracting that I have to hold an envelope against my PC monitor in order to focus on the interesting articles…so knock it off!
Seems like the 1970's scientists might have had it right.
The ice may be breaking up…………we need to keep on them.
Here, a BBC tv anchor asks some good questions (finally) of the UK Met, the state-owned weather forecaster which has a staff of 1,700 believers in AGW. It has a huge budget, and the Met boss gets an annual bonus every year. But the Met's forecasts are never close to accurate because that would show that the world's temps aren't rising.
MUST SEE: Climategate : UK MET office head gets a grilling and fails miserably

Maybe this is the beginning of the ice age of the 70's, you know how the government always underestimates things. Never let a good crises get away.
The carbon credits will be on the NY stock exchange too.

I E-mailed AP this article with a couple words about their credibility.
Maybe a little pressure from all of us might smack a little sense into them.
Why don't we establish a national media expertise center? One (or more) experts in each field, so that when a story breaks about "X", an expert in "X" is there to evaluate the story?
BPA causes disorders? Call the expert at the National Media Expertise Center, a specialist in biochemistry who knows how chemicals can affect genes, and ask him if it holds water (pun intended)!
Climate is warming, cooling, staying the same? Call NMEC, and ask him if anything's changed (or even settled, or even capable of being discussed with the available evidence).
Finding impartial "experts" will be a severe challenge; but damping the hysteria (The polar bears are dying!) would be a welcome relief.
Now, onto world hunger!

this is not a left-right issue in my opinion.
in fact, the left right paradigm is false.
this could not have been maintained for so long & orchestrated without some very powerful agendas behind it.
the science is easily controlled through funding & use of the media to set the agenda & marginalise opponents.
this same struggle between truth & lies is happening in the autism-thimerosal debate.
who is behind this conspiracy? what power could orchestrate an obedient science, media, politics right up to the level of the UN & IPCC & why?
AGW & the Copenhagen TREATY & CAP & TRADE are basically new forms of tax that would benefit large corporate interests & would be used to fund a ONE WORLD GLOBAL GOVERNMENT. unelected. fascist. corporate. tyranny.
that's right, AGW was to be the trojan horse, the raison d'etre for the biggest robbery of all time.
& not just that, it was part of a campaign to eugenically cull the human population particularly in the 3rd world & bring the western world to it's knees in a Malthusian collapse of the economy.
What we are seeing I believe, is an attempt by the most wealthy to consolidate & protect their positions of power for future generations & manifest their stated NEW WORLD ORDER.
But it is more than that. It clearly demonstrates their belief that humanity not of their type is cattle. useless eaters.
This disregard for human life & suffering is the most disturbing thing for me, but know your enemy I say.
The Rothschild / Bilderberg / Rockefeller have documented interests in eugenics & fascism & they should be held account for their involvement in the mass suffering & death of so many human beings.
They will be but we need to come together & show them the difference between wealth & power.
The people have the power & if we can understand that fact & use it together we can stop this tomorrow.

The "Main Stream Media" mostly chose to ignore Climategate depressing their already sagging circulation figures. AP has taken it to the next level by mis-reporting what their experts told them. There has to be some kind of penalty for such bare faced lying.
The academic industry also produces greenhouse gases. So does the newspaper industry, and the broadcast media do too. Hey, EVERYTHING produces greenhouse gases.
(Fwooomp!) PAY NO ATTENTION TO THAT LITTLE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN!!! (Fwooomp!! Schssssssh!) I AM GORE—THE GREAT AND OMNIPOTENT!!!
I haven't read all the posts, so others may have mentioned all the corrupt links in this hoax; if not – I have plenty of info on my site to show that "climate change" has nothing to do with the environment and everything to do with money and power. This environmental hysteria has been a long time plan of globalists to regulate and police us. When I first discovered all this, I couldn't believe it. But there's too much evidence to ignore – Al Gore, Enron, Goldman Sachs schemed how to profit with carbon trading. General Electric and many corporations (including some related to the head of the IPCC) will profit of cap and trade. It's ugly.

What do you get when you connect these dots? BigGovernment….Big Journalism(Media).. BigUnions…BigAcademia(Universitiey)……BigScience…… "A Pentagram of Corruption."…All intertwined, all with a Leftist mind-set, and all on the same page on everything……They only survive because a strong private sector has allowed them all to prosper right under our noses and to our detriment.
.In the worst economy ever, this Big5 of lies, corruption, and selfish self-interest has prospered and could seemingly not give a wit about how and who keep them afloat . Time to marginalize this bunch, vote out their supporters in Congress and defund the liars where ever we can, no matter how much and how loudly they scream….

I agree. The email leaker has done the world an incredible service.
I think the new German paper on how CO2 causeing warming violates thermodynamic laws is worth looking at. If I have it right, then what they are saying is that there is no glass over the earth, as in a greenhouse, to stop the heat from rising and that carbon dioxide may well absorb IR better but also expels, irradiates it faster much like copper – heats quick, cools quick and this heat will rise out of the atmosphere. By the way – I only scanned the paper and am no expert but it does seem to be based on standard, well reproduced, thermodynamic law.
It wasn't just the 'scientists.' It was the CIA as well. http://www.spectator.co.uk/essays/all/5592803/the... http://omniclimate.wordpress.com/2009/12/03/world... http://www.climatemonitor.it/wp-content/uploads/2...
