There was, and is, a VAST amount of dirt that was LYING IN THE OPEN and did not need to be dug up, about McCain, Hillary, and Obama – enough to lock all of them up for a very long time. None of them should have been running around loose, let alone running for the presidency. Trouble is, the mainstream media is as corrupt as its counterparts on the political scene – and that's saying something.

It's easy to agree with you. The one thing that motivates me to write about Edwards: the re-writing of history that started soon after the Enquirer caught Edwards at the Beverly Hilton.

The MSM never misses a chance to rewrite their role in blacking this story out. It's the same role they played in reporting on Obama. It's the same role they hope to play in 2010 and 2012.

People must never forget that 1-Edwards was one of the front-running Dem candidates when the Enquirer stories broke; 2-Edwards was on the very short list to be VP when he was caught in July at the Beverly Hilton; 3-He would have been, at the very least, Obama's AG; and, 4-The media didn't report a word of it for 10 months–until they were given permission by Edwards when he "confessed."

Every time a MSM reporter (think Heilemann & Halperin's Game Change) writes a book about Election 2008, they rewrite a little bit more of their role in the media malpractice that occurred in this story.

AND, John Edwards still thinks that he'll be rehabilitated and run again at some future date–and there are those in the MSM that will try and help him realize that dream.

Actually, when the first Enquirer story broke in October 2007, Edwards was a close 3rd among the Democrats. When the 2nd Enquirer story broke in December 2007, Newsweek had Edwards on the cover as "The Sleeper." The meme in the MSM was that Edwards had all of the momentum going into Iowa. Various polls showed that Edwards was "the man to beat."

So, actually, the Enquirer vetted Edwards when it really did matter. It's easy to speculate that the polls which had Edwards leading going into the Iowa caucuses didn't do any follow-ups after the 2nd Enquirer story broke.

There's tens of thousands of checkout counters in Iowa and Edwards, with the help of his wife, had great support among middle-aged women. Which is precisely the top demographic among the Enquirer's readership. Even with the Enquirer's story, Edwards finished 2nd in Iowa.

"All the news that we decree fit to print" – the Isikoff days have never gone away, are here, for us to peel off MSM's conspiratorial "coverage" –
If there is so much garbage under Edward's statue, shouldn't we expect that Obama presides over a majestic landfill? To mention only one vein of gold in Obama's past, there simply is no reason not to believe Larry Sinclair's "narrative" – and, like in Isikoff case (or Khalidi), or in so many other things Obama, the MSM HAS the stories but they sit on them -
