A recent New York Times poll finds the stupid, racist Tea Party people are really smarter, wealthier and better educated than MSNBC (and even the Times) would have you know. The recently released survey shows:
- Fewer than 1 in 5 Americans consider themselves Tea Party People (18%)
- They believe Sarah Palin is not qualified to be President
- They blame Congress (not just Bush) for the economic problems we are experiencing.
- Ninety percent think America is headed in the wrong direction (compared with just 60% of the general public).
- Their major issues are health care, the economy, and the deficit.

Four of the five facts posted above might lead you to believe that the Tea Party is in line with the thinking of most of America, leading one to wonder: just what is the problem with mainstream media and these Tea Party people, anyway? What in the world will Ed Schultz, Nora O’Donnell and the MSNBC Progressive Friends Club do when they discover that they have so much in common with the Tea Party people?
Oh wait… Let’s not forget the “R” word. “RACISM” is the deal breaker in this potential relationship.
Speaking of Ms. O’Donnell, she must have pulled a muscle stretching to find the hidden racism in Newt Gingrich’s recent comments about President Obama’s athletic abilities. Note the gales of richly deserved laughter her strained attempt to impugn Gingrich elicits from her colleagues:
And then there’s Kelly O’Donnell (no kin), who attended one of those (racist) Tea Party events and interviewed someone that she must have thought was lost, a black man. Listen to the response from this gentleman when he is asked if the (racist) Tea Party people make him “uncomfortable.”
His incredulous answer: “These are my people. Americans.”
So you see, the Tea Party is sort of like you and me, except for the part about the racism and hatred of people that are any color other than white. And if you cannot grasp this obvious point, consider immediate MSNBC Immersion Therapy – 24 hours of sleepless viewing of Maddow, Olbermann, Matthews and Schultz.
I hear it’s covered 100% under Obamacare.

It's time to stand up to and confront these progressive fools in front of the cameras.
Their tactics are obvious, and unfounded in truth.
It is no wonder more and more people are looking to other sources for their news coverage, than the MSM.
And those they are supporting with their agenda to smear the average American who cares to participate in protests against healthcare, taxes, an over extended and an over grown goverrnment,, I have one reminder for ya.
November's coming!
The idea that we're racists is just the last desparate tactic. I attended the KC Tea Party. We filled a small ballpark. I've heard that the security forces working the event estimated there were somewhere around 14,000 of us at the peak. While I would have liked to see more minorities there, several of the congressmen and hopeful congressmen had minority workers at their booths. When we paid tribute to the veterans, about a third of the stands emptied out onto the field and there were all races and genders represented there. We had an opening prayer given by an African American pastor from Topeka who is contemplating a run for congress. One of our speakers was a man named Angelo Mino who is a legal immigrant from Ecuador; he refers to himself as "born in Ecuador and made in the USA." And our keynote speaker was Apostle Claver. I wish that man preached out of a pulpit in this area because I'd attend his church. Awesome speaker.
So we had two O'Donnell's making fools of themselves. A dark day for Irish people
j/k
If you've noticed it's guilty white liberals making some of the most noise about the "racist" thing. White Guilt Disorder should get official recognition and be listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders DSM-IV-TR.
Everyone that I know that are committed to voting in November (in my town) regret their vote mainly because their primary reason was the "it's time for a black president" line of thought.
They were duped into believing the "centrist message" during the campaign but came to regret they had voted for a very toxic ideologue with a despotic heart and mind!
Person after person I have encountered at the TEA Parties express virtually the same sentiment; "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me…" in near universality…
This is why the congress will change DRAMATICALLY in November and the Marx Stream Media are completely ignorant of the fact that people are fed up with government in general, not just one personality!
Memo to guilty, white liberal imbeciles…
Please project your own latent racism and self-loathing esleswhere, preferably into a mirror.
Hey Nora,
We conservatives actually believe that black people are capable of more than being athletes, drug dealers and rappers, which is why, unlike you, words we use to describe people don't contain secret codes if they happen to be a skin color other than beige. It is you and your colleagues, sweetie, who are obsessed with race and the irreparable damage it must cause minorities to their psyches if they're exposed to it, not we. Conservatives are smart enough and adult enough to know that the word 'athlete' means someone who plays sports, and that athletes come in all different races.
of course there's no racism…they just want to keep the tea party on the defensive; defensive groups get angry an often "act out". This is what they know of themselves and expect from us. Tax Day showed them we are playing offense, but they'll probably just dbl down on stupid. If I were them I'd be ashamed of being so predictable
For a long time now, the Lame Stream Media, along withe the political elites on both sides, have seen themselves as the "kingmakers" pretty much choosing our candidates for us and shoving them down our throats at election time. It is no wonder that the media and the politcial elite now see us as a threat. We are rising up and saying NO. We are saying that we will elect who we believe will be accountable to us, not to them. So, I see the animosity between us and them as simple as that.
If someone was duped it is because they wanted to be, and I believe they wanted to be. I certainly wasn't duped by him because actions speak louder than words, and you are the company you keep. The GOP dropped the ball by putting McCain up, and let's face it when your running mate is more popular than you are that spells loss.
I am a tea partier but I do not agree with that list posted above. I do believe Sarah is qualified to be POTUS, but let's face it, the inner elitist in people will never let that happen, and most especially after our current less than qualified POTUS. I am not totally sold on her, but I haven't ruled her out yet either, but if we are talking strictly on the basis of qualification, she is qualified.
In this information age, the MSM is more now a part of being news rather than reporting the news. Watching them is akin to rubber necking though.
White guilt?
Anyone who has traveled the world knows that there is more Non-White racism in the world than White racism. Go to Turkey and claim to be Greek. Go to Greece and claim to be a Turk.
Hell go to any Islamic region and claim to be a woman. America 'don't know jack' about racism. How many veils do you see in the the streets of San Fran or NYC?
Sara Palin is just as qualified to be POTUS as Barak Obama is…
She has disingenuously attached herself to the Tea Party movement.
The situation reminds me of a quote attributed to a nineteenth century French politician, named Alexandre Auguste Ledru-Rollin; upon seeing a large crowd marching through the streets of Paris he said, 'There go my people. I must find out where they're going so I can lead them.'
Some education on the subject you pontificate on would be good.

(A little off topic but worth the read)
Attention fellow BIGs faithful. Here is another man who we can add to the very very short list of people to trust. This is a quote from the NYT (yes them) from March 2009.
Meet Mr. Sylvain Raynes.
[The system was undermined by asking the American people, under the veil of secrecy, to bail out one company when in fact they wanted to bail out someone else,” said Sylvain R. Raynes, an authority in structured finance and a founder of R & R Consulting, a firm that helps investors gauge debt risks. “The prospectus for the bailout was not delivered to the people. And it was not delivered because if it had been, the deal would not have gone through.]
Mr. Raynes was invited to comment on the Goldman Sachs 'Dog & Pony Investigation' on CNBC Friday. And after telling the truth to the panel this is how Erin Burnett responded:
"You will not be back, you have to be more polite than that"
Erin is pathetic. CNBC is criminally derelict of duty. GE doesn't pay a dime of tax.
The better question is the association between GE and the demorat party. GE reportedly paid NO federal taxes and joins the non-illustrious 47% of Americans who also paid NO taxes, some of whom even got money back. The immediate question is for how many years GE has paid NO federal taxes and, if it has paid taxes in some years, then how much. With America in financial distress, the answers to this question will enable America to understand the totality of factors that has contributed to our situation.
How much did Norah give for charity this year?

They may not have paid taxes, but they did pay for obuma.
More qualified that Obama. She has actually held a real job!
McCain got the nomination because there were too more conservative candidates running in the primaries. It split the conservative vote and left the moderates who liked McCain in control of primaries.
Come Prof, I know you were being sarcastic but let's not get delirious over one little article now.
The NYSlimes have taken us from red necks = fascism – to classism = communism. Hey Slimes – we're all Americans which is something you know nothing about…
I wouldnt lend any credibility to anything that comes from the NYT—The New York Times has done a very effective job of becoming a biased publication. Whatever they feel the public needs to know as opposed to solid reporting of the news(I always thought thats what the news was) They have evolved into a trash talking, misanthropic publication that I chose to ignore.The contributing journalists never have anything realistic or good to say, and often echo sentiments of the same "hate ilk" they so gleefully represent. BOTTOM LINE___They cant handle the truth anymore!
"Opelka?" What kind of Commie/Kenyan name is that, you troll?!! 9/12 Project my ass!! I'll make it my 4/17 Project to make you cry like the girlyman your wussy photo reveals you to be. PROVE you're not a COMMIE!!!!!!!
I understood none of this.
The author of this article is a complete idiot who has no idea what he is takling about…
I have ""EARNED"" the "Right",, To say "I Am American" ,, and Proud of it!! I am not (Red-White-Blue or Black- American). ""I am AMERICAN""
RedStaterRedStater
So true! They are such fools.
Athlete = black
Blues = black
Rapper = black
Welfare = black
Unemployed = black
Stupid = black
Soul = black
Civil rights = black
That is their mantra and they are sticking to it!
They are so racists!
Good journalism there, New York Times! – NOT! My nineth-grader can think more clearly than your best writers.
Practicing already for my victory lap in November.
Please keep in mind that the answer to that question is no one's business. In a country where free will is still legal, giving is neither required, nor is it public business.
It is beyond appalling to hear CONSERVATIVES harping on people for not giving. It is not supposed to be a public act.
"The problem isn't the color of your skin but the content of your policies" – http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_bj0fdAQOI98/S8m7HoUaHVI...
I love that video – did they show it?
"Sara Palin is just as qualified to be POTUS as Barak Obama is… "
As a self admitted democrat let me be the first to say, that ain't saying much. What I hope to see, though I don't know if I'll get, is that when the next election rolls around is that someone, anyone, remembers there is an ever growing block of people who are left-center, and either like myself never liked Obama, or B, don't like him now.
McCain is a serious weenie, probably the weakest candidate I have seen since Jimmy Carter but amazingly the peanut won, go figure…
I have had enough of the "squishy" moderates that change their allegiances with the wind, we need people that stand firmly for the constitution again, no more negotiating "around" it for political expediency. McCain doesn't have the cajones to ever be president but he will likely run again in 2012…
Clueless, Box Thinking media, TP folk are not cookie cutter , 3or 4 traits types. The Tea Party phenomenon exists because of diverse self motivated individualists.
They may have banded together because of some agreement in some of the same issues. However, never make the mistake of trying to label them collectively. They exist as a group only because they each choose individually to participate. These people will not follow blindly as sheep. They will only follow those persons and ideas that are in agreement with their own ideals.
The 'Know it all' media pundits may think they have a handle on the actions and demographics of the Tea Party People. This is a pure movement with a spontaneous life of it's own. They haven't got a clue.
