Don’t look for these in the regular media. They are too busy propagating the meme du jour on this story, which is that vandals smeared refried beans in the shape of swastikas on the State Capitol building. The implication being that anti-immigrant racists committed this vandalism.
However, judging from the photos above, it seems more likely that one or more of the pro-immigrant protesters were responsible for this.
Is there any doubt that if this were a Tea Party protest these images would be propagated far and wide throughout the liberal blogosphere and media?

Maricopa county has Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Im certainly one to believe that Sheriff Joe likely was one of those who helped craft this law. Janet Incompetano couldnt defeat Sheriff Joe when she was governor of Arizona(not from a lack of trying to-Sheriff Joe was just too smart for her) and nothing has changed since Incompetano has gone to DC. I wish Sheriff Joe were 20 years younger-he would make a great president.

Oh , by the way-if I were in the media the first question I would ask the head of La Raza-what does La raza translate into(the race). The second question I would ask is what the so-called "mission statement" of La Raza is. I find it interesting that Obama said that he thought the Arizona bill could be unconstitutional before it was even signed into law. He also threatened to unleash the Justice Department to see if individual rights were being harmed by the law. Pity he didn't have these same concerns regarding the healthcare bill. When other Americans thought the healthcare bill was wrong and said it was unconstitutional, they were laughed at. When Nancy Pelosi was asked by a reporter if the healthcare bill was unconstitutional she replied, "Are you kidding, are you kidding?" You see, the constitution only matters when a law threatens any constituents of the Democratic party. Everybody else can really pound salt. November is coming, people. Throw the bums out of office.
I lived in Latin America for a few years (met my wife there) and it never fails to amaze me that Latin Americans usually paint US immigration restrictions as racist and unfair. Latin American countries (including Mexico) tend to have stricter immigration laws than the US.

Such laws come into play because there are wealth/opportunity/peace differences between different Latin American countries so some people move from say, El Salvador to Guatemala. Another reason for the harsh laws is that Latin American countries don't want people passing through them en route to the US to decide 'Hey, this would be a nice place to leave'.
In short, the governor of Arizona should tell the president of Mexico 'Healer, heal theyself.'

All those people marching against 1070 could've marched right into the Immigration office and filled out all the paperwork for a fraction of the time and energy they're wasting on this organized hissyfit.
Arizona should begin by rounding up all gang members, then sorting them out the illegals. That can't be called "racial profiling" if it applies to all the gangs. The same could be said for prisoners. Require ALL of them to prove their citizenship; no profiling there. Return all to their home countries, to finish their sentences there, or join a new gang where their families live. Printouts of everyone who has been deported, but are still here, need to be distributed to all law enforcement agencies, to be detained if located. No profiling there either. They have already been identified.
One more sure fire way to identify those who are here and should not be is to withhold financing for colleges and universities who do not closley monitor their foreign students allowing them to overstay their visas. No profiling there, either. It applies to ALL international students.
Any one of these would put a nice little dent in the number who do not belong here, and you don't even have to look at them.

One of our close family friends are (naturalized) Hispanics originally from Mexico. Last week, a few of their kids were playing at our house, and their 5-year-old proudly stated that he was "Mexican". I said no you aren't, you are AMERICAN. "Mexican" means a citizen of Mexico; "Hispanic" (or Latino) defines your heritage or culture. His older brothers were listening…looking at their eyes, watching them slowly nod their heads, you could literally see the light go on. James, I know what you meant when you use the term "Mexican" in your post, but this example highlights how so many people are *not* identifying themselves as American first. Maybe I'm wrong on this…your thoughts?

Almost everyone I know is descended from Mexico and they all agree. They're with Arizona passing the law. I think with the lawlessness in Juarez, Mexico it has FINALLY dawned on people that if you feel you can break one law, then you can break ANY law. When 4,000 people show up at a Tea Party rally in El Paso, Texas (98% Democrat) on a weekday in the middle of the afternoon, you know people are finally getting ticked off.
