Real scientists have been able to get an accurate history of planetary climate change. The undertaking has revealed some facts. It was considerably warmer in the medieval period than it is now, also the dreaded CO2 levels were higher during that time. Don’t liisten to those XBoxers at the CRU. The reason for this is that higher CO2 levels follow higher atmospheric temperatures, this was also seen in the ice core samples. Did you know that? I didn’t think so…
During the medieval warming period it was warmer than it has ever been since, and, the CO2 levels were even higher then due to the fact that higher CO2 levels follow higher temps, not the other way around… Why do you think the Vikings called it Greenland? There are more polar bears now than in the past 30 years, they are not endangered… The amount of CO2 generated by man is a fraction of what evaporates from the planet’s oceans every day.
Maybe the Vikings caused it while they were living in Greenland, you know when it was green. Oh no, that’s right the mini ice age happened after that, sorry to trash your pathetic belief system…..

I found it weird 4 out of 5 of my Climate professors had serious doubts about the theory behind man made global warming and distrusted the IPCC immensely. Now all this garbage is coming out about how their fixing the numbers. What a bunch of crap…so they swindled billions of dollars from people because of a theory that a fraction of a percent of the most minor green house gas increase was caused by humans and is thus causing the earth to warm. You got to be kidding me right…that's what they are going to say 50 years from now. Were still trying to figure out whether CO2 follows temp or does temp follow CO2…like… multiple studies going on and these idiots charge to the front with their Swiss cheese theories and make a movie based on fiction that gets everyone riled up!

#1: If you go to this link http://www.petitionproject.org you can read a paper petition signed by over 31,000 scientists in the fields of natural sciences stating that human CO2 emissions do not cause global warming.
If you want peer-review, 31,000 scientists agreeing should be sufficient peer-review for any fair-minded person.
#2: It's not clear the CRU emails were hacked: they were sent to the BBC, then posted anonymously on various websites. This was after the CRU refused numerous requests for data under the FOI Act. Much of the emails contain data considerations and computer code for the models which seem to indicate the models were skewed and the data misrepresented. It is likely they were leaked by an insider at the CRU.
The easiest way to clear up any questions would be for the CRU to release all of their data. They still haven't. They say it's been " lost ".
So, the science underlaying your thesis is tainted by misconduct and lack of transparancy and tens of thousands of scientists state there is no anthropogenic global warming. There have been numerous other declarations, statements and petitions signed by hundreds of scientists to the same effect, as well as numerous individual statements by scientists.
Therefore, #3. You need a new moniker. May I recommend ' PoliticallyCorrect Guy ". ScienceGuy simply doesn't describe your views.

Indeed, as the oceans warm, they release CO2 gas. Your thesis that increased atmospheric CO2 is a derived, non-determinant factor seems reasonable.
Currently oceanic acidification is increasing due to increased carbolic acid. This is positive proof that currently the oceans are becoming cooler, not warmer. Hardly proof of global warming.
( For those of you not familiar with the physics: think of the fizz in your soda or beer: the fluid warms & the CO2 bubbles out: if the fluid cools, it stays in the liquid. )

Even the concept of an average, world-wide AVERAGE ocean temperature is open to many criticisms. What is not open to debate, however, is that "snow" and "rain" are not the same thing, and to have "snow" one must have "cold."
Thus, when the "extra" water vapor in the air comes down, it may come down primarily in two forms: liquid, and solid. The former is referred to as "rain," and the latter under a variety of names, such as snow, sleet, hail, and so forth. Sometimes it comes down as both a solid and a liquid — regardless, when it is warmer, there is more precipitation in the form of RAIN, and when it is COLDER, the precipitation comes down as SNOW.
The amount of precipitation that we've lately experienced may be linked to non-global warming, a localized phenomenon known as El Nino. The fact that it came down as snow in places where it almost never snows is due to COLD weather over a large area, which is difficult to explain when positing a theory of GLOBAL warming. I skied Whistler in the mid-90's. Sometimes conditions were great, sometimes lousy. Everyone knows that Whistler is hit-or-miss. Everyone except the IOC, I guess. Global Warming is not the issue there; the real issue is "who picked Whistler in the first place?"
Unheard of snowfalls in the Deep South prove Global Warming, and lack of snowfall in the north at the same time proves Global Warming. EVERYTHING WHATSOEVER AND WHENSOEVER proves Global Warming.
By the way, there are many issues as far as "the record" of temperatures goes. Increased urbanization around places where temps are taken and problems with keeping an accurate account of readings are ubiquitous. And, even if Whistler itself had a record breaking January, it can all be traced to the particular timing of the El Nino phenomenon, which is a localized warming, not global in nature, and not traceable to any human influences.
Please, let's not confuse our observations about the local weather in any one year with scientific proof of a global trend.

I don't believe it's a question whether or not there is warming, although the head of the CRU said there has been no significant warmer in the last 15 years. The question has been whether or not WE had anything to do about it if IS significantly warmer. The broohaha is over a very small group of people telling a very large group of people how to live their lives while not doing so themselves. The political shell game, ie Cap 'n Trade, is transparent to anyone even minimally observant. If there was indeed a crisis, CnT would do nothing about it except keep smaller companies from competing with bigger companies.
We are all well aware that Earth's climate fluctuates. That has been documented through the millenia. Hellooooo…..
What we are up in arms about, is that climate fluctuations that have happened for millenia, without our having any part in them, are suddenly declared to be "our fault", and we are told we must give up the lifestyle we have built in this great country, and by some that we should even remove ourselves from the planet in order to "save it"; and even worse, we've found out that so-called "scientists" have MANUFACTURED data to lead to the desired conclusion. That's not science, by a long shot. That's just out-and-out FRAUD.
The planet's temperature has not risen since 1995. That has now been admitted by the fraudsters themselves. To track Earth's changing temps and try to build theories is one thing; to fudge numbers and fake data in order to put us under gov't punishment is entirely another.
Regardless of the fraudsters' attempt to erase it from history, the Medieval Warm Period DID occur, and Earth's temp was several degrees warmer than it is now, and coastal cities did not flood and the Polar Bears and Inuit did not go extinct.
The Medieval Warm Period (also known as the Medieval Optimum, because the planet's weather was remarkably stable and beneficial thru that period) was followed by a drop in temp known as the Little Ice Age (characterized not only by cold but by brutal instability of the weather, and the deaths of millions).
We are still only just coming out of the 500-year Little Ice Age. And besides, would JUST ONE of you AGW alarmists PLEASE tell us just what Earth's NORMAL temp is? I know when a person has a fever, because normal human temp is known. How do we know that Earth has a fever?? I have asked this question many times, and have never gotten an answer.
So Vancouver's weather is warmer than average right now. Copenhagen experienced record cold during the "conference". NYC experienced a deadly heat wave, a century ago. We had a warm winter here in Michigan, in 82-83, back when we were being told that the next Ice Age was coming. We had record cool summers in 89 and 92, when GW hysteria was cranking up. We still have record highs and lows for dates here in my area, that go back to the 1890's.

In fact, the very basis of the scientific method is that you always evaluate and test others results without being banished. I remember reading about the impending 'Ice Age', and suddenly gears shifted without losing a stride it was then global warming and no one in the MSM, even the media that reported on the coming ice age, ever challenged them about what happened to the ice, how did they completely get that wrong so bad, that we weren't cooling but warming instead.
The MSM is a joke, but they have been for years. I think we are truly witnessing the slow death of the MSM, and they just keeping marching forward unable or unwilling to adjust, and do something like report based on the facts.
Please provide conclusive evidence that both cold and warm weather changes are indicative of Global Warming. No snow in Vancouver along with snow in Florida do not equal Global Warming.
Did the ice in the north melt from above or below? No ice surface water is present. What do ocean current changes and underwater volcanoes have to do with anything, really? How much ice was gained in the winter? More or less than average? Why didn't the warming activists make it to the North Pole on their ice survey last year? Too warm or too cold? Does global warming cause frostbite now too?
Cold climate kills more than a warm one. I'm hoping for some Global Warming myself. The sun has been in a quiet mode. Perhaps that will change soon.

Having followed this story closely for years, to me, the most interesting aspect of AGW has nothing to do with weather…it’s the people.
I am amazed at how so many people totally gave themselves over to this global warming cause. And as I continued to read everything available from all sides I couldn't help but notice that the AGW supporters seemed to know shockingly little about the subject, the science, or anything relating to facts. In fact…most didn’t want to learn about it. There seemed to be no interest in debating the subject, to inquire, to test. All too often the discussion would be ended with an insinuation that I apparently don’t care about the world we live in.
Which led me to this realization: for most of the frenzied supporters, the AGW cause is nothing but a sort of personal ‘brand – sort of like a brain tattoo that provides them with an unshakeable public image as a person who is assumed to be more ‘caring, considerate, intelligent, proactive, and good.’ And the best part is that it requires no real effort on their part at all!
For the lazy of body and mind it is quite a deal. After all, why bother seeking true purpose in life, producing or contributing anything to this world or actually becoming a caring, intelligent, proactive, or good, when you can gain the appearance of all these by simply supporting AGW, or being 'green'?
Without this kind of support, AGW never would have gotten this far. And while some of the leaders like Gore may suffer for their actions, considerable shame should be reserved for these other lame *ss supporters who gave the movement the bodies and votes it needed.
There is but one indisputable fact on this subject and it is that the climate IS going to change. At one point in time Wisconsin was covered by a permanent ice cap while at another time a tropical rain forest covered the area. I would ask the AGW crowd one question: if global warming was bad, would that mean that global cooling would be good? Because one or the other is going to happen and there is nothing anyone can do about it. If you fear warming then you must logically think cooling would be better because those are the choices. The climate is not static.

Actually, they ARE lies. The most famous 'polar bears stranded on an shelf' photo has been completely DEBUNKED. That was the result of a vicious storm that broke apart a large sheet of ice, leaving the group seemingly cast out to sea. Conspicuously missing from the photos — the surrounding LARGE masses of ice, only meters away. Not melting. Not global warming. Argument OVER.

I remember both of those well. In '92, I think there were just 2 days in which the temp topped 80, and not one good beach day (for swimming, anyway). Lake Michigan water temps rarely got out of the 50's, and when it did, it would quickly cool back down.
Also, the winter preceding the summer of '89 was pure HELL! From November '88 to mid-April '89, there were very few days it didn't snow, and I marvelled at the time that every single time I got in my car I had to brush off the snow – even after it had sat for just a few minutes. (And I'm nowhere near the U.P.)
This past summer was no great shakes, either – very few beach days.

I think it is important to look at the paperwork – look at the evidence. If there is no documentation that global warming efforts did anything to help the environment, then yes, it was a little bit of a scam. However, there are many environmental initiatives taking place now that require documentation to show how you are contributing, or helping, the environment. Sometimes this means showing how much money you are saving by making necessary energy efficient changes to your home. Other times this means showing your energy use reduction after pursuing LEED certification. Global warming, in my opinion, was a vague stab at the environment – "human are poisoning the Earth and the environment as we know it!" Ok, let's do something about it and prove to everyone how we intend to make it better. I'm hopeful that we have come a long way in the last few years, when it comes to environmental concern and action.

The only one's that want Global Warming to crumble is big oil and big coal .Koch industries who spend 47 million in the last 10 years ,and Exxon /Mobile who spend 100 million dollars on misinformation ,twisting off facts and just plain lies.These industries don't care about human or animal life only about money.A good example is Massey Coal Mining who because off there push for production ignored venting mathane gas from there mine causing a explosion killing 29 miners .This is criminal negligence money for human lfe!!
