No matter what you think of J.D. Hayworth — former Congressman, talk-show host, anti-illegal immigration hardliner and Abramoff-scarred beneficiary — one thing you’ve got to like about him is that he is mounting a primary challenge to Sen. John McCain (R, Media) in Arizona.
That would be the head RINO-in-chief and First Amendment enemy — RIP, McCain/Feingold! — who threw the election to Barack Obama in 2008 by taking everything that was interesting and/or objectionable about the former Barry Soetoro — his past, his associates, even his name — off the table and thus gave himself exactly zero chance to win. Contrary to the lefty media spin that Sarah Palin cost McCain the election, she was the only thing that stood between him and an historic, McGovern/Mondale-style wipeout.
It was as if he wanted to lose, or something.

In an electoral season that’s already shaping up to be a graveyard for incumbents — so long Evan Bayh! — will McCain be the next to go?
Or, in the return of a nightmare scenario for Republicans, will he finally cross the aisle one last time, rejoin his former buddies in the media, and give the Democrats back their 60-vote majority? (Hey — stranger things have happened.)
What do you think?

Should have been resolved to remove him after his Amnesty deal with Kennedy.
McCain needs to go, but unfortunatly the the sheeple of this state will put him back in.
McCain gives me heartburn. He's so inconsistant. His chunky daughter oughta put a cork in it too.
That said – he'll back walk in.
Part of the problem is that McCains have been living on government checks for generations. Regardless of whether these generations of McCains served their country well, and I think they did, government uber alles becomes ingrained into their chromosomes because it's all they know.
I think is time for all men/women who have been in the Congress for a multitude of years to go home and let the American people have a rest from their egregious abuses of the Constitution, wasteful spending and non representation of "We the people." I believe the common man is sick and tired of the crap that Congress has been pulling on us for years and especially with its escalation in the last year….we will not be messed with anymore. I don't care if they are Republicans or Dimwits, if they have been there for more than ten years, they need to go home and leave us the hell alone….Good bye John!
Uh, yeah, like I'm a progressive republican…..
Firehoses. Ready. Aim. Niagra Falls.
Turn key government at OUR disposal.
I am tired of the consrvative charade every six years by this poser.
You no longer fight when it really counts, McCain- go home and let us put someone in who can help us fight.
Go out gracefully Mr. McCain, thank you for your service to our country, from one veteran to another. It is time for a new fight and new blood.
Don't forget the office people that "help" each congress person. How many years have they been there doing whatever it takes to get things done? The people behind the scenes need to go as well.
and: "OmiGod, gay weddings are sooo cute! They wear matching tuxes and stuff, I'mean omiGod – how fun!"
"Is there a buffet in the "green room" ? I'm like totally famished…Mommy's Learjet was out of fresh fuit and yougart".
John McLame will NOT cross the aisle to become a DIM….He may be RINO, but he not a seditious statist,
in fact, for all I find wrong with his thinking, I can't forget his courage and honor during VietNam, but John…You've overstayed you welcome at the Congressional Hilton..
.So have fun in Arizona for the last 25 years…And don't chime in on issues, you'll alwyts be 75% WRONG…!
"oh dear, don' throw us in the brier patch, conservatives!" – Der Fonz
is that what Harry Reid and the DemoKKKrats would call "a negrow dialect"
…and it takes balls to land a jet fighter on a moving – pitching aircraft carrirer flight deck, in the dark.
True personal courage. I acknowledge McCain for that – but he still buys the "green enviro – crap" etc…
I love John McCain he is a national treasure, a decorated War Hero who sacrificed his health for his honor while in Vietnam should be appreciated by the American people.
He served his country with honor while in Vietnam, as a POW he sacrificed his health for his own and his Country’s honor. When the VC discovered his family legacy of serving his Country, they offered him a quick trip home which he refused, choosing instead to stay with his fellow servicemen for which he paid a severe price. .
ohhh so catty….
Agreed! Clean the whole place out!
John McCain knew that he had to defeat Obama straight up on policy issues.
No character-defamation in this highly historic campaign.
He was right. This country could be shattered now, if it appeared Obama was "destroyed" by 'the good old boys'.
We will survive Obama, and America has achieved a milestone. No one can legitimately ever use the race card in politics again. Thank God.
John McCain brought Sarah Palin to national prominence. She is indebted to him, and so is America.
JD Hayworth is not .01 the man McCain is but I would hold my nose and vote for him, we can't afford any more RINO's including McCain…
You made my day Jamesb!
Aren't we? ;^)
Oh I agree on both counts. At McCain's age – why keep on keeping on?…retire an enjoy the wife's money – travel have fun.
Arizona. He may have represented you at one time. But, does he now? Does he love Arizona and the US, or the media and his reputation as a maverick? I get ill when I use the word maverick in referring to him. He's no maverick, just a wannabe. He'll throw whoever or whatever under the bus if it gets him the media spotlight. What a waste.
As if!
thx. hee hee…
This country could be shattered now, if it appeared Obama was "destroyed" by 'the good old boys'.
Famous, you may be right about that but man it was a pain in my a– when he refused to take off the gloves…
And I hope to God you are right about the 'survive Obama' part.
No, that would be "Aw, naw, missa conservatives. Don' throw us in dat Palin bush, she an AWful conservativ"
My aren't you the optimistic one. As soon as Barry loses, they're will be cries of racism. Hell there is NOW and he IS president.
Why? He was jackass and inept dolt that got himself shot down because he ignored a missile warning and made himself in to a LIABILITY in the war.
ok. That sounds more like Harry "Plantation" Reid now…
Palin? How many times do you need to be fooled? I guess you are a consumer of MSM – you can almost tell from people's posts that their eyes are glazed over.
You people are nuts. McCain was off with his Vietnamese whores. You think some guy who dumps his wife because she had a car accident and then calls his rich trophy wife a "c*nt" in public has "honor." You are a disgrace. If someone murders in your name (what war is) you are eager to overlook any flaw and call a scoundrel "honoralble." Why is that? I know. Because you feel guilty for sending a thug to murder foreigners in your name.
Fonz, your mommy is looking for you again…time for your abilify!
How is McCain a "man"? For dumping his disfigured wife? For calling his weird Orphan Annie-eyed monied trophy wife a "c*nt"?
BS. A lot of glory-hounds seek that out. They aren't people you would want babysitting your daughter.
Finally! A halfway intelligent comment by someone other than myself.
Funny how these neocon pretenders rush to support someone who has never had a private-sector job!
God willing we will.
Check out an amazing Conservative American Patriot – Lloyd Marcus, you can Google his blog and book.
He is a very successful Black Man, who states and knows that the Socialist Statists on the left have and are
victimizing people by continuing to make them feel victimized. He is very inspiring and thankful to everyone who has ever given him an opportunity, including "White People", which he says. He has a good sense of humor too.
People such "TheFonz" are sad bigots living in their very comfortable fantasy land
and give America a bad name.
I'll do it. It's tragic that almost 50 years after thr Civil Rights bill caught the whole country up with the words of the Declaration of Inderpendence we have tweprs like Matthews at MSNBC saying he "forgot Obama was a black man" and the well documented opinions of Clinton and Reid,
I oppose Obama on his legislative positions – vigorously – not his race.
He just as wrong in any color…
Very excited about Col. West down in Florida – he's a great candidate.
"Or, in the return of a nightmare scenario for Republicans, will he finally cross the aisle one last time, rejoin his former buddies in the media, and give the Democrats back their 60-vote majority?"
Wow, that is epically stupid. It still doesn't rise to the level of Nolte saying Sinatra is the 20th century's Beethoven, but congratulations for making the top 5 in dumb-ass comments on the Big sites.
McCain is a good man and is very principled. He has a number of questionable (bad) positions on issues, but he's done what he thought was right for most of his career while other politicians sprinted toward the money. If someone has better ideas and can beat him, more power to them. If not, he's certainly far from the worst thing happening in the GOP. The level of venom directed at him is beyond silly, and usually says much more about the person saying it than him (much like the Left and Palin).
Also, got to be careful not to sound like an "advertising agency", but, Lloyd Marcus was on the Lee Rogers and Officer Vic show on KSFO in SF (one of, if not the best radio stations in the country, check it out online…) with Brian Sussman. Brian Sussman has a book coming out at the end of March, called
"Climate Gate" that will be to "Al Gore and Climate Change" as to what "Fellows" is to shredding paper.
If Al Gore can "Man Up", Sussman is ready to debate him anywhere, anytime – looking forward to that…
He and his plump daughter should simply declare their status as a yellow-stripe in the middle of the road and let Hayworth run as a Repub—the McCains can do a Lieberman after the primary ditches this pathetic old freak and his biyotch spouse & daughter. He’s a travesty to begin with and a shameless attention whore, ceding only to Chuckie Shumer in the Senate’s mouthy moron department.
You tell 'em, Des !
And isn't Weird Al Yankovic the 21st century's Gershwin ?
McCain=McOver
I wish I could cross into Arizona to vote for JD. McCain pretty much gift-wrapped Obama to America with that pitiful, mind-numbingly weak campaign (not including the unexpected brilliant moment of bringing aboard Sarah Palin).
My hope is that McCain is ousted, packs up his RINO belongings, gathers his wife, dippy Meghan and says goodbye to Hannity and everyone else on Fox News who constantly inflict his interviews on us, and then enjoy life in one or more of his countless homes (nobody knows for sure how many..). He deserves a nice rest for all of his years of service, not to mention his democrat hand-holding marathons.
When will we fix the GOP primary system? California is way down the totem-pole as far as choosing our candidate. We were handed Johnny Mac.. and I knew that would give us Zero. So go get ‘em, J.D.
I hear Joe the plumber doesnt like McCain now neither http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/...
It's called selling hope. Peace Corps volunteers where I was stationed used to use the same term to describe nonprofits that actually make their communities more dependent so as to ensure budgeting for that field office.
McCain is the reason we have a Marxist in the WH. McCain was too busy bashing Bush he failed to tell the media of Obama's Marxist past at Occidental or his sitting in a Marxist Rev Wrights church for 20 years. Now even McCain has a Marxist daughter running around the media getting attention. She voted for Obama over her own father and that says alot about John McCain. McCain knew his daughter was a Marxist because she learned it from him. How much do you think McCain wants to give to Medicaid and Acorn while he taxes Medicare that people who worked pay for?
I too love McCain, and just as Great Britain loved Churchill, then voted him out after the war, I expect it is time for McCain to go. He is a war hero, deserves much respect from all of us, but this progressive philosophy is just too dangerous for America. We are seeing the fruits of this progressive cancer in California, and we must become wise, tough, and fight to bring America back from this destructive agenda.
We have learned one 'self-evident truth' about politics since Obama took over: There is no sense in trying to 'reach over the aisle.' Obama famously said that he'd 'Hit back twice as hard' against Republicans. So every time McCain warbled on about 'reaching across the aisle,' I wanted to puke. Politics always has been and certainly always will be 'polarized.' We need candidates that embrace that reality and 'hit back four times as hard.' McCain is not that person.
McCain is certainly part of the problem….not the solution. Would anyone be surprised if he suddenly changed to the Demorat party? He's already two thirds of the way there.
I get to vote against McCain and even help to campaign against him. As far as his character goes and his waffling goes, the voters will express their thoughts on his failings. Then it will be over, I hope.
Sarah Pallin should be ashamed of herself for supporting this Progressive nightmare…!
John had his day in the sun; unfortunately, it failed. It is time for something radically different and John does not satisfy the goal. He and Feingold both need to ride off into the sunset, now that their centerpiece legislation is no more.
someone from Arizona has nothing BUT 'days in the sun!'
McCain, thank you for your service to the country during VN, you gave much and we appreciate it.
Now you are out of your league with the new enemies we fight. Give it over gracefully, to the next warriors for freedom.
Please don't drag it out and bring disrespect on yourself and those beholden to you.
McCain was a respectable conservative as long as he was Arizona's junior Senator, taking his cues from Blessed Barry Goldwater. But after BG retired, McCain became Californicated like the rest of the state.
I have my JD Hayworth sign in the yard thank you. Tis time for Senator McCain to retire and SHUT UP- his wife and daughter might do so too.
http://www.jdforsenate.com/
Yeah, it pretty clear that McCain didn't really want to win. He probably fell for Barry's shtick as well.
Still, the Dims are losing now….
In fact, they're pulling out all stops…..
PRESIDENT OBAMA'S NEW MAKEOVER TO APPEAL TO TEA BAGGERS
http://naturalfake.wordpress.com/2010/02/16/presi...
I am no fan of John McCain but it is up to the people of his state to decide and not ours. If you want you can support one of his opponents by making a contribution. I am tired of the phraes sheeple. It demeans all of us. I do not have to approve the actions or the votes of others but I will not insult or belittle them for it. I prefer to object to policies and agendas. I have spoken out loudly against McCain/Fiengold from the beginning because while the stated purpose for the legislation might have been pure the actual legislation that was drafted created a whole new set of problems and actually made things worse.
LMAO.
I'm thinking that there really should be an age limit on public officials. Look at the Senator who just fell – he's 86! Probably couldn't even get a driver's license(and a good thing, that is). 80 sounds about right otherwise we end up with slow-thinking, medicated old farts. McCain just lied too often. Maybe there should be limit on number of lies, too, since a few doesn't seem to matter. How about 20? Twenty lies and you're out! No exceptions!
Total agreement.
McCain served this country with honor in Vietnam for that thank you. Since then he has become a Progressive and it's time for all Progressives to be removed from office.
I like McCain, but I think he can go now.
He deserved a chance at being president. He would have done alright. Maybe even been good or great. It's a shame that between the Bush and Obama crazy machines he never got his chance.
Still, there is a time to go.
Ultimately, it comes down to 'we the people' telling them what to do, doesn't it? They work for us, not the other way around. It was pleasing to see McCain get his a** slapped by SCOTUS, and a major win for the American people. If that is not and indication of waning political power, then please show me one. Yes, the Dims are losing. We the people are starting to tell all of them what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. That is, after all, how it is suppose to work.
What do I think? I think you are quibbling about the fact that John McCain doesn't toe YOUR version of the "Party Line"! I'm proud to have worked for Senator McCain in the 200o primaries, President Bush in the 200 and 2004 general election and for John McCain in 2008. J. D. Hayworth is a bloviating, earmarking, pork barrel blowhard. I've already made a nice financial contribution to Senator McCain's reelection effort. Your petty little piece has convinced me to add to that amount!
Regardless how you feel about Daughter McCain, I'd love to motorboat them boobies just so I could tell people I did it.
He's a man in the same sense that you are a man.
The Gentleman from Arizona has extended his stay and is respectfully requested to leave the premises in a quiet and orderly manner. Please take any excess RINO baggage upon your departure.
Thank You !!
I I contributed to the campaign. I openly advocated for him. I voted for him. I would trade my life for his in battle. McCain must be defeated in the primary, if the Republican Party still maintains this illusion of a pecking order we/you/I will be no better than the pinko-democrats. Hayworth would get my vote and will get my money.
That's the problem with politics, we all know that you are correct however,
we wouldn't even know about Sarah Palin if not for McCain – kind of a "catch 22"
for Palin. It won't matter, McCain will lose. We have to quit "reaching across the aisle"
Reaching across the aisle hurts the country, little by little, the socialists have an opportunity
to put more plumbing into their socialist toilet.
A lot of folks are getting interested in having a part-time government… bad congress people would
have a lot less time to screw things up and waste everyone's money.
McCain was a war hero and should be respected as such.
As a politician, he was typical and it was no surprise he lost in 08. His "work with both sides" rhetoric pretty much a base-demoralizer and aside from Leiberman, netted no support from across the aisle.
McCain needs to retire.
Oh, and his ditzy daughter needs to admit she's a Democrat. No one intellectually honest is going to take her seriously.
He is a nice guy.But he is very wrong on a lot of issues,And his fat daught is a moron.
Exit with dignity and endorse Hayworth. Spend the rest of your life doing good.
Come on guys, this isn't a locker room.
What do you think Hayworths chances are?
I agree with an age limit but never think an 86 year old man is incapable of driving! My Father is 86, in perfect health, and drives for a limo company! I'm all for the lie limit, but then there would be nobody left to govern ~
Good for you for exercising your public obligations on voting etc, but, Isaac Newton's Laws of Motion definitely are on the side for John McCain to go home and be John Q. Public.
LAW 1 . Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it. (in this case, being a continuous RINO)
LAW 3 For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. ( current tea party drive to oust John McCain)
McCain is a true WAR HERO but his time is now to head off to the sunset.
McCain has the machinery in place but 1.) he is old, 2.) he has lied too often, 3.) he backed amnesty for illegals, 4.) he has done nothing for Sheriff Joe's legal fight against illegals, 5.) he ran a really lousy campaign against Obama. I think he is toast. I will be working for Hayworth and I'm 60!
I don't think that just because of age a person isn't able to do things – like drive. But most are a lot less able to do the stuff younger folks can. There is a big difference between emphasizing one point or another depending on your audience and flat out lying. As I said previously, Obama fights against truth, justice and the American way. He is the Bizzaro Superman. Hello.
It's a strange and surreal time we are living in, everyday brings more lies and that which we are fighting against is truly Bizzaro – he is a lair, it's been shown time and time again, I simply cannot understand how anybody can mitigate any of his crap!
Good Luck. I really hope AZ conservatives show McCain the door!!!
Eh, she did run with him. Not a big deal to me.
ok, so she campaigns for him….for the last time. he isn't going to win. she no longer has that problem for 2012 etc
mccain doesn't sound much diffrent than bill clinton's indiscretions, people still call him a man
Voting for Hayworth, although I have been a loyal support for McCain for years. Teh amnestything did me in.
God willing we will, wldbil. (say that five times fast) ; )
He chose her, and she had a choice to support him after the fact. That should be a big deal…! She is already starting to turn shades of gray, and it's sad…!
Let's hope it's the last time…!
Yes, she's no longer ideologically pure. I guess she must be destroyed, huh?
Geez, people. Is there ever going to come a point in time where we can just say the words, "I disagree with him/her, but that's OK?"
Um, you are aware he has a 20 point lead, and Hayworth has raised a whopping $100,000 to campaign with, right?
I wouldn't get too carried away with the, "Hayworth is gonna win" bandwagon.
We do not need an elected leader whose first thought every day is, "How can I find ways to reach across the aisle and work with the Democrats?"
We need leaders who will fight the Democrats' bad ideas, and just as important, who will fight to explain exactly how bad those ideas are.
The reason Senator McCain has not opposed the Dems and their ideas is that, from "campaign reform" to TARP, he has agreed with those ideas. No amount of personal honor can make up for McCain's shortcomings.
You fail to understand the point. But that's okay…
Des…..use the FORCE….
Only Senator Coburn has been a more consistent opponent of wasteful and corrupt spending in Washington. McCain also demonstrated a steady hand during the Iraq war, quietly opposing it during the runup, loyally supporting his country once it began, and being one of the first and strongest voices pushing for the surge. That being said, I'm a big supporter of term limits.
Yeah…Destroy her…Those are my exact words. I prefer to have a basis to an argument, not just: "I disagree with him/her, but that's OK?" If you enjoy placating yourself with sunshine and lollipops, then by all means, do it…I live in the real world, where bad things happen. I don't subscribe to the head in the sand methodology of acceptance as you. I would get a clue if I was you, or at least buy a vowel…!
Maybe you need a cookie and a warm glass of milk to make it all better…?
not to mention his wife, sticking her well sculpted nose into California's fight to keep marriage as an institution between one man and one woman – who the hell asked her opinion anyway?
Repeal the 17th Amendment.!!
They can even name the act after Robert Byrd.
"I live in the real world, where bad things happen. I don't subscribe to the head in the sand methodology of acceptance as you."
Wow, it sounds like you're utterly devastated by someone endorsing a person they like and feel is honorable, even if they don't agree with everything that person says. I'm not sure how you get out of bed every day having to live in such a horrible "real world."
he was a 'reverse ace' in flight school, according to my dad (CDR, USN-ret, WWII & Korea combat pilot and flight instructor). that's 5 aircraft lost, including the one he crashed when flying to attend the Army-Navy game.
How many ways has this "Maverick" been wrong…..
-expressed disdain for judges who "wore their conservatism on their sleeve".
-Led McCain-Feingold
-amnesty for illegal aliens
-McCain-Lieberman liberal tree hugger legislation.
-opposed gay marriage ban.
-opposed Bush tax cuts on a class warfare argument.
-has publicly expressed disdain for "profits"
-stated that "Hillary Clinton would make a good president".
-considers waterboarding "torture" and opposes harsh questioning of unlawful combatants
-wants to close Guantanamo and grant unlawful combatants civil rights.
-did not reject out of hand when asked if he would join John Kerry's ticket as the VP in 2004
The only thing he's done right recently was introduce Sarah Palin to the US and loose the 2008 election.
Are you familiar with the term moonbat…?
I think John McCain at one time was a good Senator , but it is past time for him to leave . The reason I even voted for him was because Palin was picked as his Veep.
It is time for him to ride into the Arizona Sunset.
As a vveteran of the Vietnam War I appreciate McCains service. But the senior POW and Medal of Honor recipient Bud Day has stated several times that McCain does not speak for the vast majority of POW's. McCain needs to go he has done more harm than good in the senate. Along with Feingold he worked to restrict free speech. He is a RINO of the first order he still does not want our borders secure and still pushs for amnesty for those that violate our laws. Another amnesty will simply open the flood gates wider. So just go home John and take your leftwing horses butt of a daughter with you and put her on a diet. Agag would work nicely as well.
Yeah, irrational, extremists always sound like "Moonbats".
Empathize with Palin, in the real world she had to do what she had to do, like it or not because even when McCain loses, she will still have his support if she does run for president, in this case, the means justifies the end. That's reality, we are all conscientious conservatives and it doesn't help us to start splitting these kinds of hairs right now, it's going to be a long road and we all need to stick together.
Leads disappear and money is not always the answer. The first Republican Governor of Georgia in over 100+ years beat an opponent who had incumbency and a $13 million war chest. I don't think he even raised a million dollars during his campaign.
I could not in good conscience vote for McCain for president in the last election. No more RINOs for me. I believe that had we elected McCain we would be going down the same path Obama is taking us, just a little slower. When a Republican is in the White House conservatives get lazy and ignore dangerous policies.
Since we can't depend on the main stream media to give us the facts, we need to hear all voices. McCain needs to leave the 1st Ammendment alone. And what is this looney toon doing with the FDA now? Please, someone stop these meddlin' nannies.
Landing on a carrier, flying an aircraft and getting shot down does not a hero make. This has to truly be the most overused word in the dictionary. Showing up for work and you are a hero, whooppee, what a joke.
A hero is someone who has a choice and elects to do something, often with out thinking, just rising to the needs of the moment and thus, becomes a hero. Many heros die doing this.
Mccain surviving POW status does not make him a hero, he did not have a choice. Some might say that he could have gotten out of the POW status, the communist offered him this option. I have also read that he was ordered not to accept by the ranking POW. Had he did so he would have been disobeying a direct order by a superior officer.
Now, he has milked his senate job, long enough, he has repeatedly screwed my country, log enough. He needs to go.
McCain supported the original "Hush Rush" bill and he may still believe in the global warmongering hoax. He supported illegal immigrants, along with Bush, another pregressive who has infected the republican party.
He served the US well, in the military, but I think he has Stockholm Syndrome from his imprisonment and this explains why he sides with his enemies in politics so much. In truth it's not really his fault. If you get my drift.
Still, that being said, it's time for him to retire and tend to his loony leftwingnut wife and daughter, the daughter desperately needing to be gagged with a very large spoon and sent to school to learn the English language, which she seems to have learned totally, by listening to MTV and the Nickelodeon channels, where everyone speaks as she does.
Very astute points! There is much to be admired about McCain's tone in the campaign. And I am glad you are optimistic about our survival as a nation….I tend to be pessimistic about it.
With that said I believe there is a reason for things turning out the way the do….divine providence stuff. And to quote you here are two positive things that have fallen out from this that I need to be thankful for:
1. No one can legitimately ever use the race card in politics again.
2. John McCain brought Sarah Palin to national prominence.
And to quote you again, "Thank God!"
I'm not from Arizona so it ultimately won't be up to me and I don't know much about his challenger but I do know that McCain has done pretty well this past year in opposing Chairman Obama's agenda. When it comes down to it he bleeds red, not blue. So it would be unfathomable, at least in my mind, for him to switch parties. I could see him pulling a Joe Lieberman and running as an independent should he lose the primary, but thats a different story altogether. McCain may not be the posterboy of all-around conservatism, but I believe he has done a lot recently that is worthy of praise. Credit where credit is due: we owe McCain a lot for being one of few willing to stand between us and Obama's socialist paradise.
Your opinion is highly valued. Thanks for the critique.
P.S. " A pessimist is an optimist who's been mugged. " ; )
John, give it up. We do not need anymore liberal Republicians reaching across the aisle to agree wiith
the liberal Democrats. Go home and enjoy your millions.
Dave in Texas
Imagine not endorsing the man she saw fit to run with as President. She would be BBQ'd all day, every day. I don't like it one bit, but, I think she is in a no win situation. Let's hope it is just an endorsement, and no actual campaigning. That would make it all together different.
Just got back from Costco…No recession there…
Anyway, you're the only one that caught it …so far…But I notice the FONZ has passed me in points and is approaching the Drifter, then you…He gets nothing but Negs but is somehow advancing…Think the fix is in??
"anti-illegal immigration hardliner"
Good grief! Am I reading the Daily Kos all of a sudden? Wanting the gov't to secure our borders and enforce existing immigration laws, does not make you a "hardliner." It makes you smart.
"Abramoff-scarred beneficiary"
Even more nonsense! The Department of Justice cleared Hayworth of any wrongdoing and dropped the investigation of Hayworth. He was completely vindicated. I expect better from Big "Journalism."
JD Hayworth for US Senate!
http://www.jdforsenate.com/
This is what's great about the tea parties. Nobody is safe. Most republicans and democrats should be voted out, and let's start from scratch all over again. I personally hopes McCain gets the boot!!
Sheeple works just fine. Otherwise they ain't gonna wake up. Shout it out in order to get these sheeples away from their little reality shows long enough to get involved in real reality. The time for always being "PC nice" is long past over!
McCains biggest mistake in the script of electing Obama (The pre-chosen winner) was giving Sarah a presences in the national spotlight!!! They've been trying to suppress her ever since, it almost ruined the pre-determined plan to swear in Obama, McCain almost blew it!!! He's falling, she's rising, what happened to the plan? I really can't see how Sarah can endorse McCain, other than she owes him for giving her a National platform, I hope she doesn't make a habit of that kind of behavior, she could easily become one of THEM if she does!!!!!
Oh snap! Congressional Hilton….very good!
I have been amazed at how the Fonz can be advancing. There is some trick to this that is for sure. Maybe intense debate also has lib sites they can go on and bring up their scores. I think I will do some checking into it…a little googling should do the trick. I do notice him and dass giving me negative hits lately on my score….don't really care though…I just want the good stinging barb towards them. And maybe make a point or two once in a while! Glad you see no recession…I am stocking up just in case.
Sarge
I am an Old sarge as well I could never vote for McCain but I have to disagree with your assessement while the word hero is over used it is not when you apply it to the people that land jet aircraft on carriers in what amounts to a controled crash most certainly at night. It takes courage to do that my friend. I also have a friend that was a POW for over six years and he certainly is a hero. Bud Day is a hero he is not a big supporter of McCains but he spent time with him in the POW camp they put MCCain in his cell with him to die because that is how bad off he was he had even been bayoneted by the gooks. So I am not going to disparage his service because I do not agree with him politically.
Something to consider about term limits. . .the founders wanted the voters to decide term limits, Why? Does a lame duck elected politician really listen to the voice of his/her constituency or try their utmost to earn a vote? or do they just coast, start resume routing, go on "exploratory trips" for the people's benefit, etc, etc
Sarah was paying back a political IOU — favor done — paid in full.
Senator McCain switching parties if he lost the primary bid? Maybe instead running as an independent as did his good friend Senator Lieberman?
Sybilll
I agree I believe she is showing up for him at this event as a thank you and some feeling of loyalty for him selecting her as VP. I do not see her campaigning for him. She admired his service in the military more than anything.
LaughOutLoud
Can you explain how that point thing works and the purpose. I thought the Fonz was getting the points because he is an A-hole? Thanks

No recession at COSTCO…Horrible everywhere else..
.I inquired about the points on this site, got a sort of cryptic reply, in essence saying the negatives or THUMBS DOWN carry FAR more weight then T's UP………If that's the case, the two haters should be in the -1000 range…
You take care now…
Can you imagine the 'You Owe Me ' card McCain and Company played when it came to a Sarah Palin endorsement?
Ms. Palin is truly caught between a rock and a hard place when it comes to this guy. I think she'll make a couple of appearances on his behalf….for reasons posted by other contributors, here. Primary reasons: his military serviceand, giving her national exposure.
John McCain would have made a heck of a lot better president than the current occupant of the White House. And just because he doesn't share EVERY point of view with the Teabag Party does not make him any less a conservative or a Republican.
And I totally agree with McCain/Feingold. Why should unions and corporations be allowed to poison the political process. They are already allowed to pour millions into the political system. What chance does the average American have in allowing their voice to be heard if politicians are being bought out by unions and groups like the Sierra Club?
Scott Brown is a New England conservative who is pro-choice, supports same sex unions (not marriage), and who voted for the healthcare package that Mitt Romney introduced when he was governor of Mass. But he is a fiscal conservative who will stand up to a lot of Obama's big government agenda. Would you have preferred a more right wing candidate who would have lost and allowed the Democrats to keep their super majority in the Senate?
What the hell is with this litmus test that saus you must support EVERYTHING that we agree with in order to be considered a conservative?
Hopefully, McCain will be retired by Arizona voters. The new senator from Mass. is also going to campaign for him.
Brown is another Rhino–just be warned! Also, MSNBC has had a couple of blips about McCain still being the leader of the GOP (I couldn't find the videos at You Tube or at MSNBC, but I saw them.) It would not be a shock to me if he
eventually changed parties–it would add to his longevity in the Senate.

The passage of McCain Feingold is what gave union thugs and the libs the upper hand in elections and hell just about anyone would have made a better President than Obama. McCain nedds to retire and go visit people and stick a sock in his daughters mouth because she does not have a clue.
