So… what did you think? Or “deem?” Or…?
As the Poet said:
Of Man’s Disobedience, and the Fruit
Of that Forbidden Tree, whose mortal taste
Brought Death into the World, and all our woe,
With loss of Eden, till one greater Man
Restore us, and regain the blissful Seat,
Sing Heav’nly Muse, that on the secret top
Of Oreb, or of Sinai, didst inspire
That Shepherd, who first taught the chosen Seed,
In the Beginning how the Heav’ns and Earth
Rose out of Chaos…

Extra points if you can explain the “Hawaiian earthquake.”
Bonus question: will this interview — already being widely panned — turn out to be the thing that sinks “health-care reform”?

The man is incapable of answering a straight direct question with a straight direct answer. What a weasel.
There is a reason for rules & procedures, whether he likes it or not, and this bullcrap is one of the reasons.
Idaho and some 37 other states are planning to file suit for violation of the 10th Admn. if this passes.
What do I think?
I think he didn't close the deal.
He came across as angry, rude, arrogant and obnoxious.
Health Care will not pass.
He does not have the votes.
Brett deserves great credit for asking agressively of this president . Quite frankly in sweeter times i would have fond his badgering to be unseemly, but not this time. This president has never had a tough interview he has always been allowed the cheap tricks of announcing that "I will give you the facts", Or the insider massage, "well you and I know the truth" Brett didnt bite he stood firmly on point and had the very clever trick of deflecting critiisism by sourcing the questions from listener (a variation on the "I had to wear my sister's teeth" theme). This didnt help the O and makes him look like the uninformed talking point that he is.
Petty asside; Who does the O's eye makeup it looks spooky or is that spokey, i think the glittering copper is a bit, how shall we say it hmmmmm well maybe its a BOW to the LGBT groups (is that enough letters?)
Any time Obama says "THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS…" you know there is a whopper to follow.
I must hand it to Brett Baier.
You could tell he didn't have the warm and tinglies running up and down his leg.
Brett did a good job, and held his ground. He had Obama on the defensive.
Obama is sure a poor liar.
He won't look Brett in the eye.
I honestly believe that Brett finally drew out the sniveling little man-child Obama is….he wants to dominate with his windy no nothing statements and gets testy if it isn't going his way. I wonder why they thought it was a good thing for him to be interviewed by Baier….Baier nailed him, it was a mistake.
Frankly, he looks like that infamous "Joker" poster.
For a generation, they screamed it was racist and derogatory, for someone to don blackface and portray comedy. Now here we are a generation later, and have our own President wearing foundation makeup, and looking like a comedian in a minstrel show.
This crap truly amazes me, and boggles my mind.
Finally, somebody gave Obama the type of treatement he should have received in 2008. Remember when Stephanopolis very briefly asked a couple tough questions in a debate? The moonbat left went ballistic. Obama's last formal press conference was way back in July. He must be pretty desperate actually to make himself available to a real journalist.
Of course, Baird could have hit him in all sorts of areas like offshore drilling, Soros, cap and trade, transparency and abut 1001 lies pushing the healthcare disaster but hard to squeeze it in 30 minutes and Obama would just run his mouth and filibuster Baird gets a B,
Why do you think they won't "Deem" it or "slaughter" it? I felt like that is why he went on FOX today…so he could tell the folks…"in your face!"
I think it is already "deemed slaughtered."
The Democrats do not have the guts to shove it through.
They are facing their mortality.
They are facing the wrath of the voters, and have painted themselves into a corner.
This is a high stakes poker tournament. They gave gone "all in" and bet the farm. The problem is, they blinked.
"The moonbat left went ballistic." Which begs the question….I wonder what the moonbats are chatting about today after the interview…I am sure we will hear soon enough.
The interview wasn't really effective on any fronts. Health care reform will pass by next Friday.
So, Obama complained that he was cut off continuously? REALLY? He kept ping-ponging between statements and questions. He over-ran every question, just so that the 'retard electorate' would just 'forget the question asked'. What a tool. Obama couldn't straighten my grandma's panties.
You saw the same thing I did. I kept talking to my television saying "Answer the question, moron!" I said a few other things too, but I won't repeat those things here.
I don't think his watermellons were sellin' any better tonite then they were last week…
Obama's act is way past ripe…Ready for my compost pit…
Can we not make citizens arrests on members of congress?
I think that we, that oppose this HC crap, should go Galt for a day or two. We have been trying to get our supposed representatives to show some cajones, and they just don't have it in them. Maybe surround courthouses or tv stations nationwide? We have to do something. They can't arrest us all.
CL
If this nonsense gets passed in this convoluted unconstitutional way, you won't have to wait until Nov for the "fit to hit the shan"…
You give Brett a B. Ok, but I have to give him an A just for sitting in the same room with the worm and not unloading on him. I couldn't do it.
Welfare, 97% of all funds gathered for the purpose of "helping the needy" in this country, goes to support the beurocracy charged with that task. You know if you ever find yourself in the position of needing a hand-up, those government employees will be the ones making you jump through hoops while the find another reason to tell you that you don't qualify.
Medicare and medicaid already account for 1/2 of the medical market, Obomacare will all but wipe-out the remaining %50 percent.
Now that is funny!
I mentioned blackface and minstrel show above, and it wasn't too well liked. Folks gave it the thumbs down. On the other hand, I like your watermelon humor. Although it didn't work so well for Detetective Dan Rather last week. Speaking of the illustrious Gunga Dan, I see that this Barrack has asked for "courage". That has already been tried.
Rather asked for courage, when signing off the evening news years ago.
People thought he was nuts.
Perhaps that was the first clue…………
Brett Baird is my favorite newscaster, so for the most part I was happy to see him do this interview. What I couldn't stand was the endless stream of talking points from obama rather than directly answering any question. What the o doesn't understand is that those of us who watch Special Report are thinking people who can see right through his vociferous bullsh*t.
That is Barry's Achilles heel, he cannot do an 'unscripted' interview.
Or kicking open for sport and letting the pheasants come into feed….mmmm dinner. Do I sound like someone who has been raised near some of the best Hermiston watermelons in the world!!
CL
We could not believe the make-up job he was sportin'…Think the FNC did it on purpose?
I mean, he does look like a first class watermellon salesman?
That is why it is so tenuous. They have nothing left to loose, as they have bet it all. They have everything to gain, including our servitude, and serfdom.
Good to see BHO on the defensive …. Pity he didn't press just a wee bit harder.
Truthfully, there is no comment I could make, in response to what you just wrote, that would not get me deleted by the censors…………….
I would only add "Orchestrated Constitutional Crisis." But it's not just health care. The puppets and their masters are lighting Constitutional fuses everywhere they can. I think they believe the only way to fundamentally transform America is to blow up the system first.
Yes.
Maybe Barry would have had a meltdown on camera.
I could just see him throwing himself out of his chair, onto the floor, throwing a kicking, screaming, wall-eyed fit!
L
I was not aware of the speciality Hermiston mellons…Thought them to be pretty generic, like prog pols…
Unfortunately the Bill has to pass before that can happen. Mark Levin is talking about it and so is Judge Napolitano…it isn't going to be easy, but there are folks working on it. Then there are others that say it is not going to happen because it has never happened before….my thinking, never say never to an American!
An interesting tidbit that may have been overlooked was when he was talking about the Louisiana Purchase he stated, "I'm giving you an example of one that I consider important. It also affects Hawaii, which went through an earthquake. So that's not just a Louisiana provision. That is a provision that affects every state that is going through a natural catastrophe."
When did Hawaii have a catastrophic earthquake? Certainly we would have heard about it, right? Well, the last earthquake of any significance was in April 2009 which measured a whopping 5.2 on the Richter scale. http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eqinthenew...
It just goes to show you he will say anything, and expect us to believe it without question.
You out near the old Hermiston Horse Sale?
Even by BOs count, that is over half the states
Yes indeed…us to have a farm near there…sold it to get out of the land of the progs.
Years ago, in rural America, rural folk transacted business by leaving cash money under milk cans or in mailboxes. If I were you, if I had any spare cash, I'd hold on to it, and stuff it in a mason jar and bury it in the back yard.
CL
You mean the T's up?
What is with the deletions?
It's a little better for us now, but over the weekend, everything gone..like aborted little babies, gone forever, and not comin' back…Cause at my age I really can't remember exactly what I wrote..It just flows out…
In looking back sometimes, I say to myself, "did you really write that?".. Not bad…
Anyway off track…
Oh man. Out of all the people here you had to troll on me? Now I'm gonna have to spray some disinfectant.
Cool!
That is pretty country through there.
That sure was a famous horse sale years ago. They sure run alot of head through there. I haven't been through that country for probably 15 years or so. The last I was there, I could feel the "change" taking place. Didn't Simplots have some big operations through there?
Hermiston's are the best…..honestly though I prefer cantaloupe.
Lorben,
As an aside, I know you had trouble posting tonight. So did I, and alot of regular posters here. Did you hear what it was? Did anyone say, or acknowledge what the problem was?
I saw Michael Walsh here first said there was nothing wrong, then he said "they were working on it".
Here is how I saw it. The posts were not being deleted by the administrator, because people were complaining; nor were they deleted by the posters themselves. The posts would appear for a few seconds, then vanish into thin air.
It was something that the administrator couldn't track, because it never showed up where they could see it. It seemed as though there was a wall, between us, and them. Is that how you would sum it up?
"The minute you read something that you can't understand, you can almost be sure it was drawn up by a lawyer." Will Rogers.
I watched it twice, what the hell did he say? Winston Smith is shaking his head..
I agree there is a Constitutional Crisis but i beleive it exceeds the doings of the last week or two. My concern is the extension of executive power. The constitution provided for a strong Executive so that the nation could be nimble in dangerous times. It is my beleif that most Presidents have shrunk from its full exercise as a matter of humility. This man has no humility but has he usurped constitutional power? Is it time to reconsider the extent of Executive power.
I posted this twice earlier. it never showed up. I'll try one more time:
http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM...
If by "press just a wee bit harder"-you mean-until O's head popped, then yeah, I'm w/ you.
Lorben, the Dem's are going "all-in" on a 2-7 off suit. They are trying to bluff their way to an ante grab.
I deem this guy incompetent and ultimately…. totally dangerous.
That's right, he's never been challenged. Doesn't want to be challenged. Fox and Bret did a good job doing what should have been done for two years.
Obama needs to get some push back from people with spines — this ain't Chicago and we ain't rolling over.
I really think someone had hacked into their site. I had complained to James Hudnall a couple of days ago about the problems we were experiencing off and on of our comments disappearing and that they did not contain anything that warranted deleting. Michael Walsh answered me and said they were working on it and I was to report to him if I had other problems. Today I when I was trying to post, he saw my complaint and I think he got right on to the situation. He kept telling me that he could not see my posts in moderation…so I think someone was deleting them before they made it to moderation. He commented several times that they were not purposely deleting anything, so I am sure they got right on it and fixed it….whatever it was. We may never know. I really thing the Big sites are a massive target for hackers.
How about…..
You lying, marxist, know-nothing-about-our-country-scumbag….
I'm a relatively peaceful person. Never struck anyone out of anger in my life. SHOULD HAVE, but was convinced not to by my friends.
Those friends no longer even try to hold back my pimp hand. Witness my Pimp hand. It is strong.
wall-eyed fit………..LOL……….bet he's been doin' that since he was 6 months old
It's the Demon Sheep Slaughter! (an inside CA joke!)
If he meant Haiti, what the heck would this bill have to do with Haiti?
Oh that's good!
You're right, he got slammed for that… people are asking themselves, did you hear about the Hawaiian earthquake?
Joke is, he thinks Haiti is the 57th state.
Gee. Funny thing about your post. The majority of southern Baptists are "African American"……What are you trying to say? You profess to being a teabagging baptist. Please let us know which church you pray at. There's quite a few Black Conservatives who would LOVE to have a Carpal Interaction with your Teeth.
Yeah, Simplot, ConAgra, and a few others. I imagine they will be moving out soon though with Initiative 66 and 67 that just passed in Oregon. I am so glad we sold our farm…it was really difficult to do because it had been in the family for three generations. But when O was elected we sold it knowing that the Death Tax would be reinstated…and Oregon was getting worse. We are in Washington now…if we were not in a small conservative farming community we would leave it too. I would say 90% of our community is well aware of the potential chaos coming. We are all preparing, its kind of interesting to watch the dynamics of all of it. I know there are probably hundreds of small communities doing the same thing.
Terrible, terrible –
I brazenlyadmit that I am a rotten birther and a rabid liberalophob, but still – would an objective, outside observer rate Barry's performance other than the, "Ho-ho, look the weasels go!"?
Not a single straight answer, only obfuscation and… let me put it straight… words… words… words…
And Obama's thing with the Hawaii earhquake was the cherry on the top of the pie – what the hell is that in the age of the Haiti and Chile earthquakes? Who cares about that?
Maybe the Kapiolani hospital? Dr. Fukino?
Crap, baby, crap – the man is toast – actually I hope that the Dems will manage to frisbee this thing into law –
Come November 2010… and November 2012…
Make my day punks -
There is a major problem.
I do not know if it is a lone looney, or roving moonbats.
Personally, I believe it is something much bigger.
How about…..HAITI ISN'T AN AMERICAN PROVINCE!!!!
Anything we do there is because of our benevolence.
I think Idaho has already moved the bill ahead -
What about "Let me put it straight…"?
I must confess to you V that I looked up an appropriate 'poker term' to write that sentence….that's what I get for using a term for something I know nothing about! I have been found out… I am merely a Google expert. ;^)
Yes.
All across the country. Especially west of the Mississippi. Folks think differently, and there is more of a sense of community, a sense of neighbor. People are preparing.
I a sorry to hear you sold your farm. That is hard, for people like us.
Years ago, I had some business interests near Baker City, and over at Fossill, on the John Day River. That was pretty country, but it sure was rough, and steep.
That is 2/3rds. That is a majority….you would think that CONgress and the One would get the picture. But I see this as excellent news with 74% of the states coming against this HC Bill….we have enough to come against them with a Constitutional Amendment to put the power back into the people's hands.
the Hawaii remark was surreal……….but from o's point of view as' king of the world',
it becomes much clearer.
"Constitutional law experts say the movement is mostly symbolic because federal laws supersede those of the states."
So if 56 of Barry's 57 states pass that law, do the Feds law apply?
I hope there is more time…
That is where I would beg to differ.
Granted, I am no Constitutional Law authority, nor learned scholar.
I do have some logic, and a wee bit of common sense. I can read the Constitution.
I know what the Tenth Ammendment is, and says.
Further, a document I admire, is the Kentucky Resolution, written by Jefferson.
At the end of the day, I believe in States Rights. First and Foremost.
As my State goes, so must go I.
I am still in the area a lot. My husband works construction and I follow him on the road. We are living in an RV during the week on the Columbia, very near the John Day River…I hike with my dogs everyday on the river. I have on my list of things to do this spring is to hike around Fossil and on the John Day. It is beautiful, we love Oregon and the folks on the east side…it's Progland that ruins it for us.
Excellent!
Disturbing! He’s not even playing “the One” convincing anymore. Off the teleprompter he says some really disquieting things. His words and his actions are utter nonsense. We have elected a deeply flawed man to be our president. It is obvious that not only have a majority of the American people discovered this but the rest of the world has as well. These are dangerous times, America’s lost years. We have to do everything we can to keep them to a minimum.
Gov has signed it per Fox news page.
Maybe its the alcohol and 50 sticks of nicoban a day
I think he was talking about the tidal wave you know the one the MSM covered with cut in shots of indonesia. Remember when that Hawaiin hotel bar ended up completely under water?
Question Brett could have asked Who paid for your college education? Did the Saudi Royal Family contribute to your Campaign? How many fingers am i holding up?
Clever, viv, but you need to replace the garlic with hemlock, the chopped onions with ground glass, and the oregano with arsenic, because he's trying to kill us all.
One more Question Brett could have asked; Was Kucinich shown the door at 20,000 feet ?
I think that you're just used to seeing Obama getting puffball questions, Brett did a great job…………a bit defferential, but not obsequious at all; he asked him questions that ALL pols usually get, but which Obama has never faced, on T.V. before.
Obama phumphered, he was halting, angry, arrogant, petulant, and looked disoriented at times.
This didn't help Barry or ObamaCare at all!
Wow! I hadn't been following this post, but some of my favorite commenters are on here. Actually a LOT of them!
Nervous ninnies about the crazy shennigans that will come out in the CBO numbers tomorrow….can't sleep!
What I do have to say about Obama is this: Here he is with "talking points" which are so far from the truth it's embarrassing, and yet, he's blabbing them like some talking head hired to get on TV. Presidents serve the people, and if ANYTHING AT ALL, they should be so respectful to the people they serve, that they speak candidly, clearly, and as objectively as possible. Obama's spiel was just plain insulting, as we know it was pure propaganda, pretty much truthless. This nation faces no crisis of "uninsuredism", it faces a crisis of "government has taken so much we're bankrupt", and Obama's on a campaign to take massive chunks more. It is, even as my kids can observe on their own… "stupid". Apparently having "Harvard" in your educational resume means nothing anymore. Sadly, more wisdom flows from the U of Idaho Journalism graduate from Alaska, whose claim to fame is mostly having lived a normal(?) Alaskan life.
And I, as well. God Bless Texas!
Nope, because it's harder for his "handlers" to answer for him that way.
Some of my favorite country. We had property in Idaho and used to drive through there twice a year.
I envy you! Miss Idaho something fierce. May have made a big mistake in selling that property!
Obama IS desperate and it showed.
H-ll NO! He's going to find there are a LOT of us who don't roll over – easily or otherwise!
Just when is Obama NOT halting when he speaks?
Lorben, I'd love to see him stand up to an interview by Andrew Brietbart.
Never. Happen.
Had a horse that used to do that!
Oh, my gosh. That is rich.

I agree. Nothing worse than a narcissistic personality – Clinton was a sociopath – I really think that's less dangerous than a narcissist.
LOL! Too funny!
About time, I say.
If he didn't like Brett's interruptions, he should go on O'Reilly's show.
Cowboy, you're up to 4 now.
